A soft laugh escaped him, “alright then, I won’t.” his tone was light, almost teasing, but there was a subtle edge of restraint in his voice. maybe he’d stop ── though the thought of dialing it back didn’t sit quite right with him. “so, you’re trying to underestimate me ? I think I would be able to handle you just fine.” the words came out smooth, accompanied by a lazy glare that barely masked the amusement in his eyes. he let the silence settle for a moment before leaning back slightly, his fingers brushing the rim of his glass. “I suppose my flirting is a bit of a habit when it came to you,” he admitted, the faintest smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. There was something almost nostalgic in his tone, he couldn't help. seb paused, his gaze lingering on her just a little longer than necessary. he tilted his head, his voice softening, but still holding that same old confidence. “are you seeing someone?” he was just curious.
Olivia arched a brow, her lips curving into a sly smile as she sipped her drink, letting the silence hang for just a moment too long. "Afraid?" she echoed, her tone light, but her eyes sharp. "Seb, you and I both know fear has never been one of my problems." She leaned a little closer, enough for him to catch the faintest trace of her perfume. "If you're flirting, well... that's your choice. Just don't mistake my tolerance for encouragement." Olivia's gaze flicked down to his glass before meeting his stormy eyes again, her smirk growing. "Besides," she added with a teasing glance over her shoulder, "I'm not so sure you could handle it if I did like it."

Seb's lips twitched into a smirk, one corner quirking higher than the other as he nursed his drink. He leaned casually on the bar, his broad shoulders relaxed, but his stormy gaze fixed on Olivia like she was the only person in the room. “Well...hate’s a strong word,” he replied, his voice low which held a soft purr in it. “Besides, I don’t recall us ever being very good at following the rules.” He tilted his head, he seemed far way too mischievous for this. “So, just tell me, Olivia. If I am flirting, would that be a problem… or are you just afraid you might like it?”

Olivia leaned back against the bar, a teasing smile curling at her lips as she swirled her drink in her hand. The familiar warmth of their banter lingered in the air, but this time, it felt... different. More charged. She tilted her head, studying them with those sharp, curious eyes of hers, the faintest trace of amusement glimmering in their depths. “You’re flirting with me,” she said suddenly, her tone light but her gaze steady. “Aren’t exes supposed to hate each other?”
