          the mood is HEAVY — although she doesn’t mean it to be . in fact , it is completely ruining her tea ! a low sigh heaves her chest before she sips at her cup , holding it up to her lips , slowly gaze lifts to look at the king . facial features remain SOFT but she puts the cup down a little harder than necessary .

          ‘  he’s been on my mind a lot recently . . . pa/pyrus i mean , and how he wants to join the guard but — i don’t know it makes me SICK just thinking about it .  ’

          ‘  the echo flowers look beautiful today — don’t you think ?  ’     no doubt waterfall was established as her home for biological reasons but there has always been something extra special about the flora in the area .

          eyes narrow , suspicion building in the back of her throat but curiosity forms from lips first .   ‘  aren’t you usually loitering around snowfall ?  ’

          ‘  WORRIED ? ’   the fish-monster feels like she is nothing to worry over but the sentiment is appreciated and undyne wasn’t about to dictate how the other felt .   ‘  i’ve missed you too . . . A LOT .  ’   perhaps a little more than she was willing to admit — actually she’d probably gush about it for hours if given the opportunity . layla’s company has always been such a comforting thing , the CALM in her storms , someone she wants to treasure completely . 

          ‘  what kinda trouble have you been getting into then ?  ’   undyne’s teasing , of course . SHE is the one always sticking spears where they shouldn’t be — perhaps that’s why the other felt the need to worry so .

          ‘  hey , there’s a face i haven’t seen for a while . ’

          spending time at home has become more difficult recently due to work and while she LOVES her captain rank it can be a little draining at times . there’s always that one spot in waterfall waiting for her when she needs to relax . on a faint sound her head turns and she is able to tell who it is immediately melting away any sense of urgency or trouble . 

          ‘  where have you been hiding . . . or have i really been THAT busy ?  ’
