Player!Chris notices Ditsy!Reader being hit on uninvitedly …
Tumblr media
Thursdays were a particularly slow day for you — your lectures were spaced out and you had lots of free time between them. Normally you’d opt for going back to your dorm, maybe take a nap or read a book to your favorite series you were reading — or work on some of the class work for some of your courses with Chris.
But, today you had chosen differently. It was bright and sunny outside, the kind of warmth that was just right to sit in and enjoy without getting too overheated.
Your body weaved through people, holding your books close to your chest as you made your way to the fountain that sat in the middle of the campus grounds. Accidentally bumping into a few people when you got too lost in thought about different subjects — muttering a quick apology before continuing your route.
As you continued to walk across campus, you pulled out your phone from your bag to text Chris. You were supposed to meet up with him soon, but he hadn’t told you where he was yet, so you decided to let him know your plans.
You: Heading to the fountain. Meet me there when you’re free!
You tucked your phone back into your bag swiftly as you finally made it to the fountain. It’s gentle bubbling and colorful flowers surrounding it — it was the perfect place to lose yourself in a book. It wasn’t long before you found a seat on the stone ledge, setting your books down and opening the dog-eared paperback you always carried.
You hadn’t been reading long when a shadow had suddenly fell across your page. Looking up, you thought it was Chris, having finally made his way to where you were — but instead you saw a group of guys standing around you, their expressions cocky and intrusive.
“Hey there, pretty girl,” one of them said, grinning. Your brows furrowed, an uneasy feeling fluttering in your chest. “Hi,” you said softly, your grip tightening on your book.
“You waitin’ for someone?” another asked, stepping closer. “’Cause it looks like you’ve got some time to kill.” his voice had this undertone to it that you couldn’t place…they didn’t seem like they were wanting to be friendly.
“I’m just reading,” you replied, your voice small as you shrugged your shoulders slightly. “Reading? What’s so interesting in there?” the first guy said, leaning down to get a better look. “Bet it’s some cheesy romance novel, huh?” he teased mockingly.
You shook your head, trying to focus back on your book. “It’s not cheesy.” you muttered, trying to take your focus off of them the best you could.
“Oh, come on,” he said, laughing. “You don’t need to sit here reading by yourself. We could keep you company.” he cooed, a cocky grin being placed on his lips. “That’s okay,” you murmured, hoping they’d take the hint. But instead, one of them plopped down beside you, way too close for comfort.
“You don’t have to be shy,” he said, flashing a grin. “We’re just trying to be friendly.” — yeah a little too friendly. “Yeah,” another chimed in, crouching in front of you. “You’re cute. What’s your name?”
You hesitated, “Um…” shrinking back slightly. “I’m fine, really. I just want to read.” The guy beside you chuckled, draping an arm across the back of the ledge. “Aw, don’t be like that. You’re too pretty to sit here all by yourself. We’re just trying to get to know you.”
Before you could respond, the one in front of you reached out, brushing a strand of hair away from your face. “She’s shy,” he said, smirking. “That’s adorable.”
You leaned back away from his touch, clutching your book to your chest. “Please don’t—” but before your sentence could fully leave your lips, a sharp voice cut through the tension between you and the guys.
“What the fuck are you doing?”
The voice made you jump, and all four of the guys froze, their heads snapping toward the source. Chris was standing a few feet away, his arms crossed and his jaw clenched. His blue eyes flicked to you for a moment, softening briefly before narrowing on the group of guys.
“Oh, hey, Chris,” one of them said, trying to play it cool. “Didn’t know this was your girl.”
Chris stepped closer, his presence overwhelming. “Doesn’t matter if she’s mine or not. What the fuck gives you the right to corner her like that?” he bit out, his teeth gritting together so hard you thought he might break them.
“Relax, man,” the guy sitting beside you said, holding up his hands. “We were just talking.”
Chris’ brow raised. “Talking?” his voice was icy, his glare cutting. “This is what you call talking? Surrounding her, getting in her face, touching her without permission? You think that’s okay?” he spat out, his body coming closer until he was standing directly in front of them.
“Come on, Chris,” one of them said, rolling his eyes. “You’re one to talk. We’ve all seen you with girls. You’re with a different one every week.” he tried to argue.
Chris’s jaw tightened more, his fists clenching at his sides. “Yeah, I’ve been with girls. But you know what I don’t do? Corner them, harass them, or make them feel uncomfortable. Don’t even try to put me in the same category as you.” he said coldly, like it was the most dumbest statement someone had tried to ever make toward him.
The guys exchanged uneasy glances, their bravado faltering. “Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you?” Chris continued, his voice rising. “She was sitting here reading, minding her own business. You don’t get to pull this crap and call it flirting.” and as he said that, the guy sitting next to you stood up — the others backing up slightly.
“Chill, man. It’s not that serious,” one of them mumbled, but he wouldn’t meet Chris’s eyes. “It’s serious to me,” Chris snapped. “Now get the fuck outta here before I make you.”
The group hesitated, but one look at Chris’s furious expression was enough to send them retreating with muttered apologies. Chris waited until they were out of sight before turning to you, his expression softening instantly. “You okay angel?”
You nodded shakily, clutching your book to your chest. “Yeah, I’m fine. Thank you.” you muttered. Chris crouched down in front of you, his eyes scanning your face for any sign of distress. “They didn’t touch you, did they?” he whispered, bringing a hand up to gently touch your cheek,
You shook your head quickly. “No, I’m okay. You got here just in time.” And Chris let out a breath, his shoulders relaxing slightly. “Good. Because if they had…” He trailed off, shaking his head. “Never mind. What were they even thinking?” he muttered — more to himself than you.
“I don’t know,” you said softly. “They just wouldn’t leave me alone.” you said, feeling the unease in your stomach pooling more at the thought, but lessening slightly. Chris frowned, standing up and offering you his hand. “Come on. Let me walk you somewhere. I don’t trust those idiots not to come back.”
And you hesitated before slowly placing your hand in his, letting him pull you to your feet. “Thanks, Chris,” you whispered, looking up at him, his hands reaching for your bag and slinging it over his shoulder.
His smirk returned, though it was tinged with protectiveness. “Always angel. Nobody’s allowed to do that and just get away with it. They’re lucky i didn’t break their fucking jaws. fuckin’ assholes.” he muttered as he placed his arm around your shoulder, leading you toward the building with the food court.
As the two of you walked away together, you couldn’t help but feel your heart race — partly from the lingering nerves, but mostly from the way Chris looked at you — the way he protected you.
What was this feeling?

Player!Chris can’t get enough of Ditsy!Reader …
Tumblr media
The water streams down, warm and comforting, a cocoon of safety enveloping you and Chris. Steam fills the small bathroom, swirling around you as droplets cascade down your skin. Chris stands close, his damp hair sticking to his forehead, and his blue eyes are soft as they meet yours. The corners of his mouth lift in a quiet, adoring smile as his hands rest gently on your shoulders.
Chris was just supposed to be over to hang out, but suggested on a shower together which at first you were hesitant to — but agreed to in the end.
“Turn around for me,” he murmurs. You oblige, turning to face the water as his hands move to your back. His touch is light at first, his palms pressing gentle circles into your skin as the spray of water washes over both of you.
“You’re tense,” he comments softly, leaning forward so his lips brush your ear. “Let me help.”
His hands knead your shoulders, gliding down your arms, his thumbs brushing the curves of your body with a reverence that makes you feel cherished. There’s no urgency, no rush, just Chris taking his time, his touch more about grounding you than anything else. He presses a kiss to the back of your neck, his lips soft and lingering, sending a shiver down your spine despite the warmth of the water.
“Better?” he asks, his voice barely audible over the sound of the shower.
You nod, leaning back slightly into his chest, and his arms instinctively wrap around your waist, holding you securely. He turns you back around to face him, his hands staying on your hips as he studies your face with an intensity that makes your cheeks heat. His thumb brushes over your cheekbone, his gaze dropping to your lips.
“You’re beautiful angel,” he says softly, his words sincere and unguarded. Before you can respond, his lips capture yours in a slow kiss. He takes his time, his mouth moving against yours softly. His hands stay firm on your waist, steadying you as he pulls you closer.
The water runs cooler, breaking the moment, and Chris chuckles quietly. “We should get out before we freeze,” he says, grabbing a towel and wrapping it around you with careful hands. He presses a final kiss to your temple, his lips warm against your damp skin. “Come on,” he murmurs. “Let’s get comfortable.”
-
After getting out of the shower you both got dressed. Chris in a pair of black sweat pants without his shirt and you in a plain white t-shirt with some cute shorts.
You had both made your way to the couch. The room quiet, the low hum of the heater filling the silence. Your legs are tucked underneath you, but you’re hyper-aware of the way Chris’ thigh presses against yours. He’s stretched out casually, his arm resting along the back of the couch like he doesn’t have a care in the world, but the way his fingers occasionally brush your shoulder tells a different story.
“So,” Chris starts, a sly grin spreading across his face as he turns to look at you, his blue eyes sparkling with mischief. “You gonna keep staring angel?”
Your cheeks flush immediately, and you shake your head, trying to look anywhere but at him. “I wasn’t staring,” you mumble, though your voice is anything but convincing. Chris chuckles, the sound low and teasing, as he leans in closer. “Uh-huh,” he murmurs, his voice dropping. “Sure you weren’t.”
Before you can come up with a retort, his hand moves to your knee, his thumb brushing slow circles against your skin. The touch is casual — almost innocent — but the heat in his eyes says otherwise. He leans in even closer, his breath warm against your cheek. “Come here,” he says softly.
You hesitate, your heart pounding in your chest, but when he takes your hand and pulls you onto his lap, you don’t resist. Your knees settle on either side of his thighs, your hands instinctively finding his shoulders for balance. His grin widens as he looks up at you, his hands sliding to your waist, holding you steady.
“Good girl,” he murmurs, the teasing edge in his voice making your cheeks burn. “Now, was that so hard?”
“Chris,” you start, your voice trembling slightly, but he doesn’t give you a chance to finish. His lips crash against yours, the kiss hot and demanding, and your thoughts scatter instantly. His hands tighten on your hips, pulling you closer as his mouth moves against yours with practiced ease.
His kiss is everything — confident, skilled, and utterly overwhelming. His tongue brushes against yours, teasing and coaxing, and when you let out a soft whimper, he groans low in his throat. His hands roam your back, one slipping beneath your shirt to press against your bare skin, and it sends shivers down your spine.
“You taste so sweet,” Chris mutters against your lips, his voice rough. His lips leave yours to trail down your neck, his teeth grazing the sensitive skin there. When he sucks gently, his tongue soothing the spot, you gasp softly, your nails digging into his shoulders.
“Chris, wait—” you start, but he pulls back slightly, his blue eyes locking onto yours. His expression softens for a moment, and he tilts his head, his cocky grin replaced by something almost genuine. “You okay?” he asks, his voice quieter now, but there’s still a teasing glint in his eyes. “You can tell me to stop, you know.”
You shake your head quickly, your fingers clutching at his shirt. “No, I don’t want you to stop,” you squeak, your voice barely above a whisper. His grin returns, wider this time, and he presses another kiss to the corner of your mouth. “That’s my girl,” he murmurs before pulling you back into another heated kiss.
This time, his hands guide your hips against his, creating a delicious friction that makes your breath hitch. His grip tightens, and the low groan he lets out when you move against him sends a thrill through you. “You’re killing me, angel,” he mutters, his lips returning to your neck. “You don’t even know what you’re doing to me.”
You squirm slightly in his lap, trying to ease the ache building inside you, and his reaction is immediate. His hands move to your thighs, gripping them tightly as he chuckles darkly against your neck. “Careful,” he warns, though his tone is more amused than serious.
You glance down at him, your cheeks flushed and your heart racing. But, you decided to defy his word — shifting your hips against his growing bulge that you could feel poking you. The awareness of it made you want to move more..it felt so — good.
Chris freezes for a moment, his eyes narrowing slightly as his grin turns wicked. “Oh, you’re trouble, aren’t you?” he says, his hands sliding up your thighs as he shifts beneath you. “Fine. If that’s how you want to play it…”
Before you can process his words, he shifts you in his lap, turning you around so your back is pressed to his chest. His arms wrap around your waist, holding you firmly in place as his lips find the curve of your shoulder. His teeth graze your skin again, his tongue following to soothe the spot as one of his hands slides up your side beneath your shirt.
“Look at you,” he murmurs, his voice low and rough as his fingers trace slow, teasing patterns along your ribs. “So sweet, so perfect…” His other hand rests on your thigh, his thumb brushing circles into your skin as he presses another kiss to your shoulder.
“Chris,” you whisper, your voice trembling as his touch grew bolder.
“You’re okay,” he murmurs, his lips brushing against your neck as he speaks. “I’ve got you, angel. Just let me take care of you.” he groaned against your skin.
You just whined, nodding your head and his hands shifted. One of them grabbing and digging into the flesh of your hip to keep you from moving too much — the other slowly inching to your inner thigh, pulling your legs apart.
You allow your legs fell open on either side of his own. His lips continuing to press kisses along your shoulder and neck, “Tell me to stop..” he whispered, letting his teeth nip you. You gasped, trying to push your hips down against him more.
Chris hissed, taking your reaction as a means to continue. So with a slow hand, he inched it closer, fingertips ghosting against the edge of your sleep shorts before slipping under and finding your clothes clit through your panties.
Chris chuckled as he pushed against the bundle of nerves, eliciting a moan from your lips. He could feel the wet patch under his fingers. “y’already so wet angel — fuuuck..” he said. His chin now resting on your shoulder as he watched his hand move beneath your shorts. Your own head tipped back to rest against his shoulder, eyes closed as your breaths came in pants.
In one swift motion, he slipped his fingers under the fabric of your underwear — trailing his middle finger along your wetness. He grunted as your hips shifted again, moving down to try and grind yourself against the digit. His grip on your hip tightened as he tsked. “Hold still baby.. i’ll give ya what y’want don’t worry.” he muttered before slipping the digit into your warm walls.
Your back arched, bowing away from his chest as one of your hands gripped at his arm — a small crying escaping your swollen plump lips. Chris chuckled, slowly moving his finger as he encouraged you to lay back against his chest once more. The pace he set was agonizing, you wanted more..needed more.
“C-chris please-“ your words were cut off as he curled his fingers up, hitting that spongy spot just right. You gasped, the sound tampering off into a high pitched moan as your walls squeezed around his finger. Chris hummed, tilting his head and smirking against your skin as his eyes still stayed trained on where his hand disappeared.
“Feel good angel?” he asked, slowly retreating his finger before slipping two digits back in once more. “Mhm!” was all you got out as he curled his fingers again. It was slow — so slow. “Pl-please chris… faster.” you whined, grinding your hips down once more despite his grip on you.
You really could t stay still.
Chris sighed, shifting his hips up in a slow grind against your ass. “Yeah..yeah, i know baby shh.” he cooed, his fingers now picking up speed at your request.
The speed change made you sigh, but it quickly turned into little gasps and moans as his fingers continued to curl up. Your head tipped back again, resting on his shoulder as your face turned to his. You panted, your chest rising and falling rapidly as your legs tried to close around his hand. The hand on your hip left, coming up to grip your jaw as Chris turned his face to yours.
He grinned before smashing your lips together — it was all teeth and tongue, heated and desperate. His fingers never slowed their pace, abusing your poor hole. “C’mon pretty, keep ‘em open f’me yeah?” he muttered against your lips. And you obliged the best you could, keeping them open even as they threatened to close every so often.
Chris’ movements against your ass didn’t slow, feeling himself getting close to his own release. He moaned into the kiss, his fingers pushing a little deeper, causing you to squeak against his lips. You pulled away from the kiss, taking a few deep breaths — and Chris watched you. Your flushed and fucked out expression and swollen lips were absolutely beautiful to him
But before long, you were already leaning back forward, capturing his lips in another searing kiss. He could feel your walls clenching around his fingers rapidly, your moans growing higher in pitch as you tried to keep your lips against his.
“y’gonna cum angel? gonna make a mess all over my fingers, hm?” he mumbled against your lips, and you nodded. The knot in your stomach growing tighter and tighter with each thrust of his digits.
With a few more thrusts of his fingers, the knot came undone — the waves of pleasure washing through you so suddenly. You pulled away from his lips, throwing your head back as your back arched — releasing all over his fingers.
“yeahh that’s it baby, fuuck.” he gritted out, his hips stopping their grinding as he spilled into his boxers. Your own hips moving down on his fingers as he slowed them, riding out your high.
Chris stopped his fingers once you whined at the overstimulated feeling, and he slowly retreated his hand, moving your panties back into their rightful place. He brought his hand up, digits glistening with your release and brought them to his lips.
Your eyes widened as you watched him suck them clean, releasing them with a soft ‘pop’ before turning his gaze to you. He leaned forward, placing a soft kiss on your puffy lips. You could taste yourself.
Chris leaned back. “y’feeling okay angel?” he asked, shifting you around until you were laying more comfortably in his lap. And you nodded, humming softly as you stared up at him.
“I think..we may need another shower.” you admit. Chris laughed, “yeah — yeah i think we do. here c’mon.” he said, gently shifting you onto the couch as he stood up, leaning down to scooping you into his arms before walking off toward your shower — again.

The soft hum of music played in the background as the party bustled with energy. People were everywhere, filling the house with laughter, conversation, and the occasional offbeat karaoke performance. Angel lingered near the snack table, munching on a chip while scanning the crowd for Chris. He’d disappeared sometime after introducing her to his friends, and she was starting to feel a little out of place.
Her fingers fiddled nervously with the edge of her cup. She wasn’t used to these kinds of parties, but Chris had insisted she come along. “You’ll have fun, angel,” he’d said, pressing a kiss to her forehead. “Promise.”
But now, with no familiar face in sight, her nerves were starting to creep in. She was about to text him when a burst of laughter caught her attention. She turned toward the sound, her eyes landing on Chris near the kitchen. He was leaning against the counter, a drink in hand, and… smiling at a girl.
The girl was tall, beautiful, and draped in confidence. She laughed at something Chris said, placing a hand on his arm. He didn’t move away — in fact, he leaned in closer, his grin widening.
Angel’s stomach twisted.
He’s just being nice, she told herself. Chris was a natural flirt, even when he didn’t mean to be. But then she saw the way the girl tilted her head, the way Chris laughed at something she said, and the way his hand brushed her elbow as if they were sharing some secret joke.
Her chest tightened, and her feet moved before she could think.
“Chris?” she called out, her voice soft but tinged with an edge she didn’t recognize.
His head snapped up, his smile faltering when he saw her. “Angel! There you are,” he said, his voice bright, though there was a flicker of something — guilt? — in his eyes.
The girl turned to look at her, raising an eyebrow before smirking. “This your… girlfriend?” she asked, her tone dripping with something Angel couldn’t quite place.
Chris nodded quickly. “Yeah. Angel, this is… uh…” He paused, clearly struggling to remember the girl’s name. Angel didn’t wait for an introduction. “Can I talk to you for a second?” she asked, her voice shaking slightly.
Chris hesitated, glancing at the girl before nodding. “Of course.” He followed her out of the kitchen, the noise of the party fading as they stepped into a quieter hallway.
“What’s up?” he asked, his tone light, as if nothing was wrong. She crossed her arms, her gaze dropping to the floor. “You were flirting with her.”
Chris blinked. “What? No, I wasn’t.”
“Yes, you were!” Her voice cracked, and she hated how small it made her feel. “I saw the way you were looking at her, the way you—” She took a shaky breath. “You touched her arm, Chris.”
He sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Angel, I wasn’t flirting. I was just talking to her. You know how I am — I’m friendly with everyone.” he tried to argue.
“That’s not an excuse,” she said quietly, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. “You didn’t even notice I wasn’t there, did you? You were so caught up with her…” Chris groaned, his frustration starting to show. “I didn’t mean to make you feel like that, okay? I wasn’t thinking. I’ve had a couple of drinks, and—”
“That doesn’t make it okay! she interrupted, her voice louder now. “I don’t care if you’re drunk or buzzed or nothing at all. It hurt, Chris. It hurt seeing you like that with someone else.” Her words hung in the air, heavy and raw. Chris stared at her, his expression softening as he realized the gravity of what he’d done.
“Angel…” He stepped closer, reaching out to touch her arm, but she pulled away. “Do you even care?” she asked, her voice trembling. “Or am I just another girl to you? Someone you’ll flirt with until you get bored?”
His heart sank at the look on her face. He’d never seen her like this before—so hurt, so unsure of him. “Of course I care,” he said firmly. “I care about you more than anything. I’m sorry, angel. I didn’t mean to hurt you. I was stupid, okay? Drunk and stupid.”
She looked at him, her eyes searching his for the truth. “Do you mean that?” He nodded. “I do,” he said without hesitation. “I mean it with everything I have. You’re not just some girl to me. You’re my angel. My everything.”
Her bottom lip started to tremble, and he stepped closer, cupping her face gently. “Please don’t cry,” he whispered. “I hate seeing you cry Angel..”
She sniffled, leaning into his touch despite herself. “You really hurt my feelings, Chris,” she said softly.
“I know,” he murmured, pressing his forehead against hers. “And i’m so fucking sorry.”
For a moment, they stood there in the quiet hallway, the distant noise of the party fading into the background. Slowly, she nodded, her heart aching but willing to forgive. ©
“Okay,” she whispered. “But you can’t do that again. Ever.”
“I won’t,” he promised, sealing his vow with a kiss to her forehead. “Never again.”

ditsy!reader with player!chris and matt with adhd!reader double date fic? 🫣🫣
Tumblr media
It was supposed to be a simple night out — dinner at a local Italian spot followed by mini-golf. Chris had suggested it on a whim, wanting an excuse to hang out with Matt after not being able to see him for so long. Both of the brothers always being busy with with own things — but also being busy with their own girls.
But neither Chris nor Matt were prepared for the chaos that was going to unfold once the four of them were together. The minute angel and star met, it was as if the world around them didn’t exist whatsoever — everything, including Chris and Matt, had been drowned out. The girls being sucked into their own little world with just them.
“Oh my gosh, I love your nails!” angel squealed with excitement, grabbing stars hand to inspect her bright, multicolored manicure that was slightly chipping away at a few of her fingers.
“Thanks! I did them last night because I got bored, but now I can’t stop picking at them,” she replied, holding up her other hand to show a chipped thumbnail. “I do the same thing!” angel gasped. “Like, the second one nail chips, I just have to take them all off. It’s so bad.” and star quickly nodded her head in agreement.
Matt and Chris exchanged a glance as the two of them launched into a full-blown conversation about nail polish, fidget toys, and a completely unrelated tangent about their favorite snacks. The boys heads shaking as grins tugged at their lips — this was going to be a long night.
Later at dinner, angel and star kept their conversations going. Talking about random topics, or ping ponging off of one another as they each said something. Though, when the waitress had approached the table — Chris had to get angels attention.
He nudged her arm. “You’re up,” Chris said, nodding toward the server who had arrived to take their orders when angels attention turned to him.
“Oh! Uh, can I get the, um…” angel trailed off, squinting at the menu like it was written in a foreign language. “Wait, what’s a caprese salad? Is that the one with cheese?” you gasped.
“Yes,” the server replied, looking mildly amused. “Oh, I love cheese! I’ll take that, please,” angel decided, handing the menu over.
Then star clapped her hands. “Oh, if you’re getting that, then I’ll get the spaghetti! Wait, no, the lasagna — no, wait, the spaghetti!” She paused, looking at Matt in a panic. “Which one do you think I’d like more?” and Matt just chuckled softly. “The spaghetti, babe. You always steal mine when I get it.” he stated softly.
“You’re so right. Spaghetti it is!” she announced triumphantly, handing her menu over to the server as well. Chris pinched the bridge of his nose, but there was a tiny smirk playing on his lips. “You good, angel?” he asked her, his voice teasing.
“Yep! Oh, wait! Do they have garlic bread?” she asked, flipping the menu back open even though the server had already walked away. “They’ll bring it,” Chris reassured her, leaning back in his chair. “Don’t worry, I got you.”
When the food had finally arrived, it was hard for either boy to think or focus on their food as the pair of girls continued to talk.
Chris poked at his lasagna, watching as angel animatedly recounted a story about the time she accidentally put dish soap in the dishwasher. Matt was equally quiet, a fond smile tugging at his lips as he listened to star explain how she once stayed up until 3 AM organizing her bookshelf by color, only to rearrange it by genre the next day.
By the time the dessert arrived, angel and star had bonded over everything from their mutual fear of spiders to the oddly specific way they both folded your socks.
Chris’ eyes flicked over to Matt. “Do you think they even know we’re here?” he muttered, leaning toward him slowly. Matt shook his head, laughing under his breath. “Probably not. But, honestly? It’s kind of nice seeing them so happy.”
Chris glanced at angel, the way her eyes sparkled as she giggled at something star had said. His smirk softened into something more genuine. “Yeah,” he admitted. “It is.”
Later, at mini-golf, angel and star proved to be just as chaotic as they were at dinner. Instead of competing, they decided to work together to make the “ultimate trick shot,” which mostly involved them both giggling uncontrollably as their golf balls ricocheted off every obstacle.
“Okay, okay, this time I’m gonna hit it super hard, and it’s totally gonna go in,” angel said, lining up her shot. Star had quickly stopped her, “Wait! Let me record it!” she said, fumbling with her phone. “This is gonna go viral, I swear.” she joked as she bounced on the balls of her feet.
Chris and Matt stood off to the side, arms crossed as they watched the spectacle unfold. “Should we help them, or…?” Matt asked, his question trailing off as he just watched the curiously.
Chris chuckled, watching the same scene unfold in front of him. “Nah,” he replied, shaking his head. “Let them do their thing.”
As the two of them finally managed to sink the ball — on the 14th try — Chris couldn’t help but laugh at the way angel high-fived star like they’d just won the Olympics.
“Alright, angel, let’s see if you can do that again on the next hole,” Chris teased, pulling her into his side as she walked to the next course. “Challenge accepted!” she declared, grinning up at him.
Matt glanced at star, who was already distractedly trying to read the mini-golf rulebook like it was the most fascinating thing in the world — when really it wasn’t, it just gave her something to do besides talking to angel.
Matt walked beside Chris, leaning into him a little as he kept his gaze on star. “Think they’ll ever run out of things to talk about?” he asked Chris.
Chris smirked, watching angel skip up toward star, shaking his head. “Not a chance.”

Angel stood in the middle of the hallway, clutching her books to her chest, staring up at the colorful flyer on the bulletin board. It was something about a bake sale, but her brain was too foggy to register the details. Chris had promised to meet her here before class, and she couldn’t help but bounce on her toes in excitement. Spending time with Chris had quickly become her favorite part of the day.
Lost in thought, she didn’t notice the girl standing beside her until a voice, honeyed with just the slightest edge, broke through her haze.
“Hey, you’re her, aren’t you?” the voice said with forced friendliness.
Angel blinked, turning to see a girl with perfect makeup, a crop top, and the kind of confidence that made her instantly intimidating. “Her?” she asked, tilting her head.
The girl laughed lightly, but there was something sharp about it. “Chris’s new… friend?” She dragged out the last word like it was some inside joke.
“Oh!” Angel smiled brightly, not catching the tone. “Yeah, I guess! I mean, we hang out a lot.” She fidgeted with the edge of her sleeve. “Do you know Chris?”
The girl’s smile widened, though it didn’t reach her eyes. “Know him? Sweetheart, I knew him. Intimately.” She leaned in, like she was sharing some juicy secret. “We used to hook up all the time. He was… well, let’s just say unforgettable.”
Angel’s smile faltered slightly, coughing slightly. “Oh… that’s nice.” She wasn’t quite sure how to respond, so she settled on polite.
The girl didn’t stop there. “Yeah, he’s… talented, if you know what I mean.” She winked, and her voice dipped conspiratorially. “I mean, the way he—” She launched into an overly detailed description of her past experiences with Chris, her voice dripping with faux nostalgia.
Angel’s cheeks burned, her brain struggling to process what was happening. Was this girl… being rude? Sarcastic? She couldn’t tell. All she knew was that her chest felt tight, and her usual demeanor was dimming by the second.
“I mean, I can’t say I don’t miss it,” the girl finished with a smirk, leaning casually against the wall. “But hey, I’m sure you two are cute together.”
Angel stared down at her shoes, unsure what to say. She suddenly felt very small, like she didn’t belong in Chris’s world. Did he miss this girl too? Was she just some silly placeholder?
Before she could spiral further, a familiar voice cut through the tension like a knife. “Angel, there you are.” Chris strolled up, slipping an arm around her shoulders with an ease that made her heart flutter. His sharp gaze immediately landed on the other girl. “What are you doing here?”
The girl raised a brow, grinning slightly. “Oh, just catching up…wanted to get to know your new girl.” said sweetly, though there was a flicker of annoyance in her eyes. “Didn’t mean to interrupt.”
Chris’s jaw tightened. “You weren’t interrupting, but you can go now.” he said, putting his hand up in a waving motion to get her to leave.
The girl hesitated, her smirk faltering as she realized Chris wasn’t playing along. “Right… Well, see you around, Chris.” She gave Angel one last look — a mix of pity and irritation — before strutting away.
Chris turned to Angel, his expression softening immediately. “Hey, what did she say to you?” Her feet kicked the floor, “Oh, nothing…” She muttered, trying to brush it off, but her voice wavered.
Chris frowned, tilting her chin up so she had to look at him. “Angel, don’t lie to me. Did she upset you?” She bit her lip, debating if she should tell him. Finally, she blurted, “She said she… she misses you. A-and stuff. About… um… hooking up.”
Chris’s eyes darkened, but his grip on her stayed gentle. “She’s just trying to get in your head, darling. Don’t listen to her, okay?” He leaned in, his forehead resting against hers. “She doesn’t mean anything to me. You’re the only one I care about.”
Though, even if his words were true — the tight feeling in her chest was still there. She knew he had hooked up with girls in the past, but none of them have ever done that to her before. And it left her puzzled — be ultimately feeling…weird too.
Her eyes looked up into his as his forehead was still pressed against hers, letting out a soft sigh. “Really? — are you sure?” she doesn’t know why she’s doubting his word — he always stuck to his word.
He hummed, nodding his head. “Really,” he murmured, moving his lips to her forehead, pressing a kiss to her temple. “You’re my angel, remember? No one else.”
She smiled as he leaned back, wrapping her arms around his waist, clinging to his reassurance. Chris held her close in return, and — she felt safe despite her stomach still feeling uneasy.
She really shouldn’t let them get to her, though she — and chris — both have a feeling that may not be the last time something like that happens.

do you think ditzy!reader and adhd!reader would be friends if ditzy dated chris and adhd dated matt?
honestly i’d say yeah. they both have similar traits that would make them good friends, and they would both listen and yap to one another about anything and everything. Angel (ditsy) would talk about her books while adhd!reader (she needs a nickname/pet name) would talk about her writing and that’s something they would bond over. they’re also both pretty forgetful, so don’t try asking them abt anything cause they could NOT tell you lmao

player!chris and ditsy!reader headcanons
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
• player!chris who … is a very competitive person. whether that be games, sports, bets, etc. he’s always turning things into a challenge and doesn’t let others win easily.
• player!chris who … is a big dog person. completely opposite from ditsy!reader who loves cats. he has a great dane named atlas who he loves and honestly looks like.
• player!chris who … likes to work out. he’ll show off with his friends, trying to one up each other to impress the girls — and he never fails.
• player!chris who .. can get anyone into his bed if he wanted and he has. but when he started getting closer to ditsy!reader, he stopped seeing girls less and less.
• player!chris who … absolutely loves teasing ditsy!reader. calling her angel and darling just to watch her stammer and blush.
• player!chris who … pokes fun at ditsy!reader for her clumsiness or forgetfulness. “Try not to trip over ya own feet next time, a’ight?” but if anyone else tries to make fun of her, he immediately shuts it down, acting as if only he has the right to tease her.
• player!chris who … is gentle with ditsy!reader. if she’s upset or overwhelmed, he’ll dial his teasing down and might even let her vent a little, listening quietly. He won’t talk about it afterward, pretending it never happened, but he’ll remember the details.
• player!chris who … gets possessive when other guys try to flirt with ditsy!reader. she often can’t read social queue’s so she never knows when people are flirting with her. he’ll glare them down, and will probably get mean. she’s his to bother.
• player!chris who … is fiercely protective of ditsy!reader. if he hears about anyone giving her trouble, he’ll confront them, acting like he’s just doing it for his own amusement, but in reality, he genuinely cares.
• player!chris who … will take multiple photos of ditsy!reader once they’re close enough for him to tell her he loves photography. he’ll take pictures of her reading, completely caught off guard, etc.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
• ditsy!reader who … will let any stray cat she sees. she’ll even talk to them as if they’re listening, telling them things she probably wouldn’t share with regular people.
• ditsy!reader who … isn’t the best at watching where she’s going. so she has a habit of accidentally walking into people or knocking things over, making her apologize profusely.
• ditsy!reader who … is horrible at remembering people’s names, often giving them little nicknames to keep track of who they are. she’ll get embarrassed when she has to ask for someone’s name again.
• ditsy!reader who … is curious about everything. she’s the type to always asks questions like, “how do bee’s make honey?” or just asks chris about everything he does.
• ditsy!reader who … can’t really handle horror movies that well. she’ll jump at particularly scary scenes, covering her ears or eyes. but she’s very fascinated with the paranormal and such.
• ditsy!reader who … avoids eye contact with chris. his intense gaze tends to make her nervous, so her eyes are always pointed down or pretends to be focused on something else while she fidgets.
• ditsy!reader who … when she gets comfortable enough, will start to ramble to him. either about books, music, her classes, etc. she may even vent to him at some point, not meaning to but it just sort of happens.
• ditsy!reader who … gets jealous whenever she sees chris talking to other girls, she tries to brush it off, but she can’t help feeling a pang of jealousy. she knows she has no reason to feel that way.
• ditsy!reader who … when chris flirts or leans in close, she feels like her brain short-circuits. she’s used to characters in books doing these things, not real people, and it leaves her flustered beyond words.
• ditsy!reader who … will try to compliment or make moves on chris, but will ultimately fail. if she goes to give him a small pec on the lips, she swerves and pecs his cheek or just doesn’t do it at all. if she try’s to compliment him, she stammers off. “you’re uh.. really good at — er — i don’t know, never mind!”

ditzy!reader and player!chris first date 😔
i could definitely see player!chris taking ditsy!reader to a place she’s been wanting to go to for a while because he just likes seeing her happy.
(i suck at writing in third person, so y’all are getting second person)
Tumblr media
Your hands nervously smoothed over your outfit, your frame standing in front of your mirror. Earlier in the day, chris had asked you if you wanted to go somewhere with him. And you hesitantly agreed, but were happy he asked you to go somewhere.
When you felt like you were ready, you made your way out your front door — quickly locking the door. When you turned back around, chris was already there. His body leaning against his passenger side door.
“There ya are angel — thought you bailed on me last second.” He said, smiling as he opened the car door for you. You laughed nervously, ducking your head as you tucked yourself into his car. “Sorry… I just… um…” your words tampering off.
“Relax,” he said, leaning down in the doors frame as he watched you buckle yourself. “no need to be nervous, you know me.” he stated before closing your door and swiftly making his way to the drivers side.
Once you were on the road, you couldn’t help but wonder where he was taking you. You wanted to ask, but every time you opened your mouth, your nerves got the best of you. After a few minutes of silence, chris glanced over at you, grinning.
His hand reached over, placing it on top of your own before giving it a gentle squeeze. “You can ask where we’re going, you know.” You flushed, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. “Oh… right. Where are we going?”
He chuckled, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel. “It’s a surprise. But I think you’ll like it.”
He drove a little longer, the city lights giving way to quieter streets until he pulled up to a cozy little bookstore nestled between two cafes. You eyes widened in surprise, a small gasp escaping your lips as you recognized it.
“This… this is a place i’ve been wanting to come to for a while.” you exclaimed, turning to him, your eyes sparkling. “How did you…?”
He shrugged, trying to look casual, a faint smile tugging at the corner of his lips. “You might’ve mentioned it once or twice. Figured it was worth checking out.” he said, getting out of the car as he made his way to your side, opening the door for you.
The bookstore was small and dimly lit, shelves packed tightly with books of all kinds, from fantasy novels to historical memoirs. The smell of old paper and coffee filled the air, instantly making you feel at home. You glanced at him, still in awe, and he just nodded toward the door.
“After you, darlin’”
Inside, you wandered through the aisles, fingers brushing over the spines of books. You stopped at a shelf lined with fantasy novels, picking up one you’d been wanting to read. You turned it over in your hands, momentarily lost in the synopsis.
When you looked up, chris was leaning against the shelf, arms crossed, watching you with a smirk. “You’re seriously just going to read? Didn’t know you’d ditch me for a book.” he said, faking a pout.
You blushed, hands fumbling with the book. “No! I just… I really like this one. I’ve been wanting to read it for a while.”
“Then get it,” he said, like it was the simplest thing in the world. When you hesitated, he rolled his eyes and snatched it out of your hands, heading toward the counter. “Consider it a gift, yeah?”
Your cheeks flushed a deeper pink. “Chris, you don’t have to—” He gave you a look, cutting you off. “I know. But I want to.” and you stopped, figuring he probably wouldn’t budge.
While he bought the book, you wandered toward the small coffee shop section at the back, feeling her heart race. You weren’t sure if it was because you had never been here before or if it was because he had brought her here. Chris, who you thought barely listened when you rambled about books, had actually remembered something you’d mentioned in passing. It was more thoughtful than you’d ever expected.
When he returned, book in hand, he nodded toward the coffee counter. “Go on, order whatever you want.” you opened your mouth to protest, but he gave you another ‘don’t start’ look and quickly dropped it.
So you picked a simple drink, something warm and comforting, and you sat down in the corner by a small round table, surrounded by shelves of books on all sides. You took a sip, feeling the warmth spread through you, and looked up to find chris already looking at you.
“So,” he said, leaning back, his arms folding behind his head. “have you been wanting to come here for a while? i know you mentioned it like, oh i don’t know, a billion times.” He teased, smirking.
You nodded, glancing around. “I saw this place on a post a friend of mine made… it looked so wonderful and it honestly doesn’t disappoint.” You admitted.
He chuckled. “I can tell. You look like you’re in heaven.” You looked down, blushing. “I just… really like books. They’re like… little worlds, you know? Places you can escape to.”
“Can’t say I get it, but… I don’t mind seeing you happy,” he said, his usual teasing tone gone. You glanced up, “So, what’s that one about?” he asked, nodding toward the book he’d just bought you.
You started to explain, describing the plot with growing excitement, your nerves forgotten. You were so absorbed in telling him about the story that you didn’t notice the way he was watching you. His usual smirk was now a smile. Something that only you really did to him.
As you finished, you glanced up, catching his gaze, and felt your face grow warm again. “Sorry… I didn’t mean to go on like that.” He shook his head, a faint smile still lingering. “Nah, it’s cute. Always seeing you get so excited over some books.”
You looked down, biting you lip to hide your smile. “I’m just… really happy you brought me here. I didn’t think… I mean, I didn’t think you’d even remember.”
He shrugged, trying to play it cool. “Just because I don’t spend all day reading doesn’t mean I don’t listen. Besides,” he added, leaning in closer, “I like seeing you like this.”
Your breath caught, heart pounding as you managed a soft, “Thank you… really.” He reached over, taking the book from your hands and flipping through the pages casually. “Guess I’ll have to read it, see what all the fuss is about.”
You laughed nervously, unsure if he was serious or just teasing. “I… think you might actually like it.” He smirked, setting the book down, his gaze steady on you. “Maybe I will. Maybe you’ll just have to tell me more about it.”
You stayed a while longer, sipping coffee and talking in quiet voices, surrounded by books and the warm, cozy ambiance of the shop. When it was time to go, he held the door open for you, walking you back to his car. You hugged the book close to your chest, a smile lingering on your face as you drove back in comfortable silence.
When you got home and reached your doorstep, he turned to you with that familiar smirk.
For a second, you thought he might lean in — and when he did, you froze. Quickly putting your hand up to rest on his chest. He stopped, a puzzled look coming across his face — but he just smiled. Opting to take your hand and press a small peck to it.
“s’okay angel.” he said as he pulled back. When he turned to walk away, he looked back at you. “see ya tomorrow, yeah?” and at that, all you did was nod.
