COMMENTARY: Lord Acton’s epic warning that power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely sounds like a page from the hoary verses of Vemana. While Acton’s warning is only half-truth, Vemana presents the complete truth.

Vemana says that when an imbecile gains power he lets loose a reign of terror on the meek and drives away the good.This since it is in the nature of the evil to cloud the good. And in a style, uniquely his own Vemana declares that the nincompoop is like the dog that gnaws at a leather slipper. It does not know the sweetness of sugarcane. Who would not understand an example as simple as this?

In a nutshell, In the particular verse, Vemana compares an imbecile with power to a dog that gnaws at a leather slipper, unaware of the sweetness of sugarcane. This metaphor illustrates the idea that those who are not wise or virtuous may misuse power to harm the good and the meek, similar to how a dog fails to recognize the value of sugarcane over a leather slipper. It’s a simple yet effective way to convey the message that power in the hands of the foolish can lead to destruction and ignorance.

People will travel to the far ends of the earth to find a cure for their physical illnesses, but we make no effort to find a cure for our spiritual illnesses.

Even if we are not practicing on the Sunnah of NABI ﷺ at least have love for it, and don't mock it.

When a person becomes spiritually mature, the material things of this world become insignificant.

Some difficulties in our life are actually warning bells - that we have to correct our behaviour.

Other difficulties are to elevate our stages or to remove your sins.

When a person has completely humbled himself, and is completely independent of the the wealth of people, then only will he have good Akhlaq (Character)

We are looking for solutions where solutions don't exist.

Our solutions lie only in the Quran and Sunnah

May ALLAH ﷻ give us the understanding of what we read and practice upon it آمــــــــــين

ஒரு தொழிலதிபர் வியாபாரத்தில் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறார், ஏனென்றால் லாபம் கிடைக்கும் என்று அவருக்குத் தெரியும்.

லாபம் (தவாப்) கிடைக்கும் என்று தெரிந்தவுடன் நமது இபாதாத் (வணக்க வழிபாடுகளை) அனுபவிப்போம்.

பார்வையைத் தாழ்த்துதல் - குர்ஆனில் உள்ள சில கட்டளைகளில் இதுவும் ஒன்றாகும், அங்கு அல்லாஹ் ஆண்களை தனித்தனியாகவும், பெண்களை தனித்தனியாகவும் அழைத்தான்.

மக்கள் தங்கள் உடல் நோய்களுக்கு மருந்தைக் கண்டுபிடிக்க பூமியின் தொலைதூரங்களுக்குச் செல்வார்கள், ஆனால் நமது ஆன்மீக நோய்களுக்கான சிகிச்சையைக் கண்டுபிடிக்க நாங்கள் எந்த முயற்சியும் செய்வதில்லை.

நாம் NABI ﷺ இன் சுன்னாவில் பயிற்சி செய்யாவிட்டாலும், குறைந்தபட்சம் அதன் மீது அன்பு வைத்து, கேலி செய்யாதீர்கள்.

ஒரு நபர் ஆன்மீக ரீதியில் முதிர்ச்சியடையும் போது, ​​இந்த உலகத்தின் பொருள்கள் அற்பமானதாகிவிடும்.

Context: Sendhan Amudhan follows Poonkuzhali. They have quite a loud argument over singing.
