Wanda smiled when she had entered into the rec room, she smiled when her eye’s immediately landed on Spock’s back. He faced away from her while he scanned the book spines with delicate fingers. She sat on a nearby sofa before laying down on it, she rested her arms on the arm rest allowing her chin forearm. If she were being completely honest, she could watch Spock all day as he read books or worked, he had quite the soothing presence in her mind.

Her attention peaked when he had brought up Shakespeare, to which Wanda responded with a smile. “Why Mister Spock, of course I’m a fan of Shakespeare and his work.” Wanda sat up from the sofa, she took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?

Thou art more lovely and more temperate:

Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,

And summer’s lease hath all too short a date:

Sometimes too hot the eye of heaven shines,

“Sonnet 18.” Wanda grinned, clearly proud of herself for being able to recite a part of the sonnet to him. “Your mother has good taste in showing you classic Earth literature. His plays and his sonnets were the loveliest.” She had been initially worried when she had seen Spock earlier, especially since he had been in this area for an hour. Those worries had simply faded when she had come to see him, as he was just taking some leisure time for himself. “What other things from Earth had you learned of?” She asked, the violet of her eyes glowed in the evening lights, her red costume appearing darker in the dimming lights.

Wanda had decided to stay in for the entire day, not having come out for anything. It was a day of meditation and focusing her powers. Wanda levitated a foot off the bed with her legs crossed, her arms extended from her body, and hands glowing red from her hex auras. The small objects and some pieces of furniture were enveloped in the hex, causing the items to float as well.

She almost didn't sense Spock come in, almost. Her ears perked up the moment the door was opened, but she did not stir when he entered her room. A smile spread across her ruby lips the moment he came to the center of her room. "Hello Mr. Spock. Missed me?"

Spock’s honest and genuine confession surprised Wanda; she had heard all the rumors of the man being entirely emotionless because he was a Vulcan. He was also half human too, it meant he wasn’t entirely unfeeling and unaffected by emotions. A confident and intellectual man like Spock was susceptible to feeling insecure as well. Wanda peered over at Spock with a look of concern on her face. “Rather than be someone you’ll never be, be yourself, Mr. Spock.”

“My best advice? Be yourself, don't let the weight of the world dictate who you should be. You're who you are meant to be, and I think it's better than being someone you'll never be. There's only one Spock in this world, so, embrace him for who he is because he is one of a kind. You’re more than enough as you are, there’s no point in being someone you’re not. I, for one, like you as you are.”

She couldn’t contain her surprise at his statement, it was certainly a very optimistic view to have. People may think it is a naive frame of mind, but Wanda didn’t think so. There were bad people in the world, but there were also plenty of good people too. Some may do bad things but have a good heart. “That’s a very hopeful sentiment, captain.”  She could tell that Captain Kirk had a good heart, and he was a kind person. It was no surprise that he was an optimistic outlook on people and their intentions.

“Damn it.” Wanda muttered under her breath, she was doing good at keeping the wound hidden. She didn’t want Bones to fret when they were lost, she could sense he was already stress out as it is. She had kept her arms within the confines of her cape, even using her hands to keep the cape closed so that her wound wouldn’t be exposed.

The injury, she kept desperately hidden, was a foreign object that punctured the right side of her abdomen just beneath the ribs. She had no clue what kept her moving, she had run out of endurance a long time ago because of the agonizing pain and blood that trickled out of her injury. The desire to get out and help others? To keep Bones safe? It was anyone’s guess, but for now, her main focus was to help Bones get back to the Enterprise. If she collapsed, it would only slow the both of them down. “I’ll be fine, I’ve kept up with you for an hour, have I not?” She spoke, her voice couldn't conceal how exhausted she was. Nor could her mouth contain the blood, it spilled out from the corners of her lips dripping down her chin.

Wanda chewed the inside of her cheek as she digested the news Kirk presented her. She produced her communicator from her pocket as well, only to find it broken. No way it was going to work, much less get a signal. That’s not good at all. They had gotten separated from the group to just find themselves wandering in some sort of valley. It was a lovely sight, but Wanda was far too uneasy about being out in an unknown territory. “It looks like we're going to have to look for everyone else the old fashion way. Go around looking for them.”

“It’s because you have nothing to lose, am I right, Billy?” Wanda's jade eyes narrowed, she was weary of the man and why he was here, much less giving a monologue to her. “Are you here to kill me? You said it yourself, you kill monsters, I can't think of you being here for my magic.” Wanda cautiously took a small step backwards while still facing Billy.

“No, that’s why you have to take matters into your hands.” Wanda smiled ruefully, turning her head slightly to steal a glance at the man beside her.  She stared at him momentarily before turning around to face the window once again. She sat in a chair that faced away from the man, but still keeping a watchful gaze on him through the glass reflection.

“Tell me, Mr. Shelby, what is the fate that has you bound? Frankly, I say to hell with predermined destinies, it's yours to begin with and yours to decide.” She delicately lifted a tea cup up to her lips before taking a tiny sip.
