joy is nestled on his lap, purring her content - almost mocking her that she had halle's boyfriend all to herself. she loves that cat to death, but joy's person was henry. and she couldn't blame her, henry was halle's person too. she found safety in his company. no expectations except for her to respect his needs, when he needed space, and everything was too much. those times, they'd lie down in the dark together, and just be. and honestly? they were some of halle's favorite times. she loves that it doesn't always need to be fast moving around henry turner.

"okay, this is grandma's lasagna. she was famous for this one," halle informs him from the old fashioned kitchen. to be quite honest, all of the house was rather old fashioned, but it was hers. and she loved it dearly, especially on the days where she missed her grandma a little more than usual. even if she does insist that any recipes of grandma's is what she was famous for. she wonders if he'll point it out tonight, unless joy the ragdoll had distracted him too much, which there was an actual chance of.

"well, you don't really want to know. trust me on this one, hen." shrugging her shoulders ever so lightly. nate was back for a week, she'd been.. otherwise occupied. not that she was complaining about that, she never would. anastasia had missed her boyfriend so much that she felt her soul had split in two when he left. he didn't leave her, he just left to play hockey. hockey, wondering if that was why henry had texted her eight times which was a lot, even for henry. "i'm here now, tell me everything. i brought my planner in case we need to fix something, it has everything in it, trust me on that too."

she reaches out to give his upper arm a small squeeze, then giving him a kind and gentle smile. "i'm sorry i took long, i'm here now and one hundred percent yours for the rest of the evening - is that a lolita doll? what is robbie doing with the house? i thought he'd cancelled parties."
