“ahh ki!!! you’re getting pumpkin guts everywhere!!” you screamed, trying to avoid the mess your boyfriend was making.

the two of you had decided that since it was now “spooky month”, you needed to carve pumpkins.

so here you were now, with two pumpkins on the table, being gutted very violently by riki.

“i told you! i’m a pro, do not fear m’lady!!” he laughed, still slicing open the pumpkins.

when he had fully cleaned out the pumpkins, you prepared the carving knives so you two could make all sorts of funky designs.

“hmm whatcha gonna make little love?” he asks, already mischievously planning his own pumpkin.

“it’s a surprise!” you giggled, turning your pumpkin away from him in a childish manner.

the two of you sat in a comfortable silence with soft music in the background.

you and riki were very focused on making this pumpkin the best thing ever.

“ta da!!” you cheer, showing off your cute new pumpkin with a little duck face carved into it.

“is that supposed to be me?” riki jokes, knowing how much you liked comparing him with a cute baby duck.

“maybe..yah! now show me yours!” you laugh, expecting something totally riki.

and oh was it…unique….

“i know, it’s beautiful,” he smirked. it was a very accurate representation of his jay hyung…the roblox man face….

“is that jay oppa?!?” you laugh, clutching onto your stomach.

the two of you both agreed not to tell jay or else he would probably chase the poor kids all around korea.

“wait! let me get the candles so we can light them up!” rushing out of your chair, you quickly run into the kitchen where you had set the candles on the counter.

“here you go ki,” you said, handing him a candle.

you both lit your candles and then closed the top of your pumpkins to fully enjoy the effect.

“i’d say we did well,” riki smiled, planting a kiss on your head.

“very,” you hummed, snuggling into riki’s side.

okay, min should be home in 2 minutes...you thought to yourself, pulling the apron off and bundling it up on the counter.

the sound of the door clicking was what made you grab the cake and swiftly but carefully, walk over to turn off the lights in the kitchen.

"hey soonie, where's the princess?" you hear lee know coo, probably petting soonie.

she was then supposed to lead him over to the kitchen, which is where you would surprise him.

the sound of footsteps getting closer made your stomach turn with excitement and nervousness.

"baby? are you in he-"

"happy birthday!!" the moment lee know flicked on the lights, you popped out with the cake in hand.

soonie, doongie, and dori gathered around lee know's feet, and now the whole family was here.

"wha- baby? you did this all for me?" he smiled, his bunny teeth poking out and his eyes crinkling into little crescents.

"yep! do you like it min min?" you smile cheekily, setting down the cake after he blew the candle out.

"do i like it? i love it! thank you princess, i couldn't think of a better way to celebrate," his eyes hold so much love as he stares into your eyes, slowly leaning closer.

you quickly catch on to what he's doing and you close the gap between you two.

the kiss was short but sweet, leaving both of you smiling like idiots at each other. two idiots very much in love.

"happy birthday min. i hope this was enjoyable for you," you whisper, closing your eyes as your forehead rests against his.

"thank you baby. it's always enjoyable with you," he says softly.

why was this a dream you had? was it trying to tell you something? was something like this gonna happen?

but since i survived, i realized

before you knew it, tears were streaming rapidly down your face, dripping off your chin and onto the comforter.

wherever you go that's where i follow

you look to your side to see jungwon peacefully sleeping. you didn't want to disturb him from his state of peacefulness.

it made you treasure this silent moment you had with him because who knows what the future will bring.

gently, you leaned down, pressing a kiss to his cheek, realizing that this could be your last night with him if your dream was true.

then, jungwon slowly leaned forward, connecting your lips in a sweet, reassuring kiss.

pulling away, he had a sweet smile on his face and he brought his thumb up to your cheek, wiping away your salty tears.

his smile made you smile, realizing how much you two meant to each other.

"hey y/n? can we please talk? i really need to tell you something," a voice pleaded from behind you. turning around, you saw hanbin. he looked...different since the last time you saw him. but to be fair, that was a month ago.

his hair was now a sandy color and he had darker circles under his eyes like something had been bothering him lately.

"oh, yeah i guess so," you mumbled, already expecting to hear the name of his new girlfriend.

"i don't really know how to say this so i'll just cut to the chase. i like you y/l/n y/n. i was so stupid and didn't realize that i was looking for someone who was right in front of me. i was never able to find the right one because they weren't you. and i'm so sorry that i've made you wait for my love for so long, i was just too blind and foolish to notice that the one for me was always standing next to me," he rambled, never breaking eye contact with you.

"wow.." was all you could manage to say. after all the years of an unrequited crush, he finally realized that he did in fact like you back.

"binnie, i like you too. i have for so long but i always wanted you to be happiest, even if it meant that i couldn't be the one making you happy," you said, tears welling in your eyes.

hanbin gently brought his hand up to wipe away your tears, smiling sympathetically at you.

"can i kiss you?" he asks, his voice barely over a whisper. you just nod, closing your eyes and leaning in slowly.

his soft lips met yours and connected like puzzle pieces. it was like they were a perfect fit and after all these years, your life felt complete.

pulling away, you lean your forehead against his and smile.

"i guess it was worth it to wait for your love," you giggle, leaning in for another kiss.

every time you tried to talk with him, he would respond with a small nod and if you were lucky, you would get one word.

“why? jesus jake! have you ever noticed how awful you’ve been treating me lately? all i get is a nod or a shrug! i’m lucky if you even look at me!” you cry, letting the tears fall. “i-i just need time. away from you.” you whisper, not knowing if that was gonna be the full truth.

“don’t call me that! i know that you don’t mean it cause if you really did, i wouldn’t be here, halfway out the fucking door!” you shouted, your vision now blurred from the tears.

jake looked like he was about to defend himself but then shut his mouth, knowing that you were right.

you opened the door, adjusting the bag on your shoulder and stepping out.

“goodbye sim jaeyun. call me when you realize how much you fucked up.” and with that, you walked out, your heart in so many pieces.

fall was always your season with ricky. you two loved the nice, crisp breeze that came through and the smell of cinnamon, pumpkins, and hot cocoa.

in particular though, the two of you enjoyed going to fall festivals with each other, enjoying the quality time you two would have together.

rewind into shining memories, time lapse

ricky was a quiet and reserved person but it didn't mean that he didn't show his love for you that often. in fact, he showed his love very often, wanting you to know how treasured you were. so it was a normal thing for the two of you to walk in a comfortable silence, hands clasped together and admiring all the booths around you.

"hey baobei, are you hungry? we can get a quick bite if you would like," ricky offered, a warm smile on his handsome face.

"i could do with a small bite," you reply, looking up at him just to find him staring with pure adoration in his eyes.

"alright, let's go!" he smiled again, squeezing your hand slightly.

the two of you weaved through the crowd, checking out all the food stands available. you both decided on a sweet pumpkin pastry and a warm cup of apple cider.

you were like a sweet ball of sunshine whereas ricky was a more reserved person, but the two of you made it work. you brought out this side of him that he never really shared with anyone else, but you made him feel safe and accepted him for who he was.

the more and more he spent time with you, he realized that he didn't always have to be this reserved person around you anymore and he found himself actually opening up more to you.

"ricks? you okay?" you asked, a concerned look adorning your face. ricky didn't even notice that he had spaced out a bit.

"oh yeah, sorry. i zoned out a bit. shall we continue walking baobei?" he reassured with a soft smile. the smile reassured you that ricky was perfectly fine and just spaced out for a sec. you nodded happily before leaping up and dusting of your lap for any leftover crumbs.

"let's go!" you shouted, motioning for him to get up. ricky smiled, standing up and brushing off his pants as well. he took your hand in his, and leaned down to place a kiss on your lips, taking you by surprise. the small kiss left you stunned in your spot, a wave of deep blush spreading across your face.

so far, so good, we just need to trust in each other

"yah! you sneaky!!" you jokingly scolded, shaking your finger at him. in ricky's eyes, you just looked like a small, grumpy cat.

we are one, let's go

"i love you so much my baobei," he said lovingly, wrapping his arm around your waist softly. you smiled into his chest, wrapping your arms around his torso as well.

"i love you too ricks," you mumble, enjoying this sweet moment with your boyfriend.

the world is waiting

moments like these made ricky fall more and more in love with you. he loved spending every minute with you and he couldn't wait to see what your future together would bring.

fall was now in the air and the leaves were changing color, meaning only one thing for you and your boyfriend. skincare change. both you and sunoo took skincare VERY seriously and if you missed a day, both of you acted as if your faces would fall off. so, naturally, as the air gets colder and the humidity changes, so does the skincare routines! and today, was the first day of the autumn skincare.

"ynnie!! come quick! i have the masks~" sunoo shouted to you from the bathroom. you were in charge of all the snacks and entertainment while doing the skincare and sunoo was in charge of getting everything out and in order.

"coming!!" you yelled back, dropping off the snacks on the bed and rushing into the bathroom where sunoo was standing there with two pumpkin face masks set out on the table. you both were all cozy in matching autumn pjs and the two of you had just gone out to buy a ton of stuff in preparation for the new change in season. sunoo had a bright, excited smile on his face as both of you very much enjoyed the fall season and the skincare that came with it.

now settling into your bed, with face masks on, you turned on the tv to the new drama you and sunoo had recently been binge watching together. the sheets had been changed to the autumn ones and the usual floral incense that was burning in your room had now been replaced with an apple cider one, making it truly seem like fall.

"cheers to autumn!!" you smiled, raising you cup of hot cocoa to sunoo.

"cheers to autumn, pretty," his eyes holding so much love for you. even though you both looked very silly with the face masks on, sunoo still admired your beauty underneath the mask.

once the masks were off, you both enjoyed putting on each other's routines for each other, laughing every second until your stomachs were both cramping from all the laughter.

"happy autumn, pretty," sunoo said softly, kissing your lips ever so gently, leaving your cheeks slightly dusted with pink.

"happy autumn to you too sun sun," you smiled back, pulling him in for a warm embrace. autumn was your's and sunoo's season. it was the season when you two first got together and overall just a season that held so much meaning to it for you two.

the comfort of sunoo beside you and the autumn smelling candle that was lit right next to your bed just felt so right. the way his arm fit perfectly on you waist and the warmth from his body and the covers over you was just perfect. you were so happy that it was now fall and it was safe to say that the feeling was mutual.

it was autumn now, meaning it has officially been a year since your breakup with your toxic ex. you used to love autumn and the way the leaves turned colors but that all changed because of your ex. he broke your heart last autumn when he told you he was just getting with you cause you were a pretty face. your best friend since elementary school, lee heeseung, was absolutely fuming about the whole situation and actually went to go teach your ex a lesson. let’s just say heeseung came back that evening with bruised knuckles and a couple bruises on his face. you didn’t want to question it.

but as the months went on, you started to realize that you would possibly never love again. your trust had been completely destroyed and the thought of even attempting to date another person scared you so bad.

heeseung was always there next to you, making sure that you wouldn’t get hurt anymore. but what you didn’t know was that heeseung had actually been harboring some feelings for you, but he was too afraid to ever confess now that your heart was shattered. but he so desperately wanted to be the person to pick up the delicate little pieces and gently put your heart back together.

“seungie? are you here?” you called out weakly. you just woke up from another nightmare about your ex finding you and tormenting you again, waking up in a cold sweat and your breathing labored. immediately, tears pricked your eyes and you in an defensive instinct, you curled yourself into a ball and cried.

so naturally, you let your feet carry you to your safe place. or—safe person.

“i’m here angel, what’s wrong? did something happen?” heeseung anxiously answered, getting up from his bed and speeding over to you. the two of you shared an apartment since the two of you were like two peas in a pod.

“i-i, i had another nightmare,” you whispered— scared that if you spoke any louder, nothing would come out. “a-about him.” you added.

heeseung’s eyes softened when he looked at you, knowing how shaken up you can get from these nightmares. he opened his arms comfortingly, letting you slowly crumble into his arms.

the cold, crisp, autumn air shivered your skin as you and heeseung walked down the streets.

“hey angel? i need to tell you something,” heeseung suddenly stopped walking and turned towards you. you looked up at him, confusion written all over your face.

he led you to a hill of grass in the park, coated with the fallen leaves of the trees.

“i-i, i’ve been waiting for so long to tell you this and i didn’t know the correct timing with everything that has happened in the last year and-” you quickly cut him off, noticing how he was rambling again. he only ever rambled when he was super nervous.

“hee. it’s okay, just tell me, you’re worrying me,” you begged, starting to get truly concerned for your best friend.

“alright. i’ll just say it. i like you.” heeseung blurted. your eyes widened as soon as the words came out of his mouth and for a moment, heeseung swore that this was the end for him. you didn’t like him back and now you would start hating him for confessing to you.

but instead, you smiled at him. a genuine smile. it was really nice to see you smile a real and sweet smile.

“seungie, i like you too…i was just so scared of what happened last time and i know that you would never be like him but i was just…so scared..” you confessed, not being able to look him in the eyes.

“hey hey hey! it’s okay, i promise, i can love you the way you deserve,” he smiled, tilting your chin up with his soft touch. “i’ll treat you so much better angel.”

it was his soft whispers against your lips that made you realize how close he actually was to you.

leaning in softly, you meet heeseung’s lips at the middle. his soft lips meeting yours, the kiss full of soft love and a promise. a promise from heeseung to you, letting you know how much he treasured you.

he was the one who picked up your broken pieces of your heart and mend it back together. you fully trusted him with your life.

when the two of you pulled away breathless, heeseung stared at you lovingly, just basking in this wonderful feeling.

you shivered slightly from the breeze and heeseung was quick to wrap his sweater around you.

you thought that you would hate the cold since it reminded you of the feeling of coldness and emptiness that you ex had left you, but this time, heeseung was there to warm you up.

he had made you love autumn again.
