❝   hey !   you   might   wanna   chill   on   the   coolness   factor   you're   giving off   here.   some   of   us   might   think   you're   too   good   to   hang   with   us.   ❞   it's   become   a   sort   of   weird   clique like   thing   in the shatterdome that   pilots   sit   with   other   pilots   ,   the   j   -   techs   sit   together   in   the   corner   of   the   mess   hall   &   him   &   hermann   are   usually   nowhere   to   be   found   ,   only   coming   out   in   the   middle   of   the   night   to   grab   something   &   retreat   back   to   their   little   hidey   hole in k - sceince.   it's   rare   when   newt   is   among   other   humans   like   this   so   out   in   the   open   ,   but   he   felt   like   mixing   it   up   a   bit   today   &   upon   seeing   carol   retrieving   her   lunch   ,   he   knows   he   made   the   right   choice.   she   was   one   of   the   few   people   who   tolerated   his   loudness   &   weirdness ,   &   would   be   totally   fine   with   sitting   with   him   despite   the   looks   she'll   probably   get   from   others   while   doing   so.   sheesh   ,   for   a bunch of people supporting a   rebellion   ,   the   people   in   the   shatterdome   do   have   a   tendency   to   be   so   totally   not   punk   rock.   it's   a   shame.   carol   though   ?   she   reeks   it   ,   especially   dressed   the   way   she   was   today.
