hello! can i request sagau headcanons please? for venti, zhongli, scara, sucrose, eula and albedo?(separately ofc) reader is a big fan of them, almost a bit obsessive. like he worshipped them as a best character ever and all that. and when they do finally meet each other, reader is really anxious about having them around. what would their reaction be ?

SAGAU HEADCANONS

ooo, i like this idea, yes. hope you enjoy and excuse me if my characterization is slightly off or shallow from what you expected. thank you for giving me a banger prompt for my first ask!

cw : nothing much, it’s complete fluff. 

sypnosis : you really, really like them. you’re a big fan of them, dare i say to the point that it’s obsessive. and now you don’t know know what to do that they’re here, right infront of you.

VENTI 

Venti would be aware that you’re really anxious, but he just pushes it aside and tries to make a friend out of you (a really close one at that) without overstepping boundaries as much as he can consciously, he might overstep unconsciously.

Venti tries to get to know you better as a prerequisite to making befriending you on a higher level than the other acolytes could achieve and if ever you happen to slip up a bit of your being a big fan of him, he’s always raising his eyebrows in playful teasing and suspicion and asking you to tell him more. 

Venti would overall be chill about it when he finds out, but that doesn’t stop his ego from growing comedically large and bragging about it to everyone else. 

ZHONGLI

Mmm, I love this man. Zhongli would notice as well, and unlike Venti, he’d definitely keep the fact that you are anxious about having them around noted, so he’s very careful. 

He makes an effort to ease your anxiety about being around them by bringing you around with him often on strolls. Either way, he would’ve done so as he is the less busier of the archons and is devout in serving you, so he’s always there to keep you company and entertained. 

When he finds out, he’s flustered. Really flustered. Although he’s going to be gloating about it to the other acolytes as well sooner than you thought (in private though, even if it doesn’t really slip past by you when Venti rants to you or everyone else is glaring daggers at him when you two walk past together). 

SCARAMOUCHE

Now Scaramouche, this cute little child of mine. He’s too busy being anxious about being around you to notice you feel the same. So then he’s always going to be avoiding direct contact with you and watching from afar instead (even if he’s jealous every now and then). 

He… doesn’t really know what to do to ease your anxiety about him being around, but it works out like a miracle because you two happen to click with how awkward it gets and because of that that it becomes funny. 

When Scara finds out the reason why you’ve been so anxious, he’s inclined to get flustered as well. Unlike Zhongli and Venti, he doesn’t openly brag about it and keeps it to himself like a precious little secret, and only every now and then uses it against Tartaglia when he pisses him off. 

SUCROSE 

Sucrose would roughly be similar to Scaramouche in the sense that they’re both rather anxious to be around you too. Sucrose is just not a stalker, compared to  Scaramouche, and avoids you at all costs because she probably fears that you won’t like her. 

It’s only when Albedo leaves you with her that you two begin to actually talk, and Sucrose gains some confidence knowing that you’re anxious too and from there, starts to avoid you less and greets you whenever she passes you by in the streets of Mondstadt. 

Sucrose is the most flustered of all when she finds out why you were anxious and keeps it an absolute secret, and will always think of it. No one knows except her. It’s also another push for her to be more open with you, so in the end, you two become closer to each other through that and you accompany her on experiments more often. 

EULA

Hm, okay, Eula? She’d not have the single clue on what the hell is happening. She would notice it at some point, but not immediately. It serves to make you more anxious but on the bright side, EULA! my love for her is showing.

She will most likely try to learn what you like and join in on the kinds of things you do, even if it’s sort of undignified for someone of her status. You’ll notice her doing that sooner or later because the way she does it, it’s endearing and obvious that she’s trying, so that eases the tension.

Eula is also flustered but also honored. It’s become her drive to be a better knight to Mondstadt so she can live up to your adoration of her, and let me tell you, it’s going exceedingly well. 

ALBEDO

Okay, Albedo, I like him too. Albedo will most definitely notice, try to make you comfortable (discreetly) and is very welcoming.

He’s definitely asked help from others on their approach to this situation to form a hypothesis as to how he’s going to approach it himself, but he doesn’t really get an answer that he knows he can do without feeling conscious. Ends up with him doing the little things for you that you’d grown to appreciate (such as doing little favors for you and letting you accompany him in his experiments) and poof! Anxiety? Gone. 

Albedo, he’d be honored. Similar to Eula, he just strives to be a better acolyte because of this and does everything and anything to make you happy and understand you like no one else could.

so...here i have a few suggestions. headcanons for zhonli, albedo, venti, xiao and a queen of your choice (sagau or not - your pick) - they tricked their beloved/best friend!reader into thinking that they are dead bc they had some grand scheme in mind (you know, zhongli style), but now reader finds out that they are alive before they can explain everything. what would they reaction be? how would they feel?

THOUGHT YOU WERE DEAD

sypnosis : you thought they were dead, yet here they are. well and alive without one single scratch all for the sake of one large scheme they hadn't bothered to at least warn you about. so, what next for them?

ZHONGLI

Considering this isn’t his first time doing this because he is the blueprint for grand schemes in faking one’s death, he’s definitely going to be remorseful.

That look on your face clearly says everything. You thought he was dead, how are you supposed to react when he finds you in front of him with eyes blown wide in shock? He would tell himself at first that it’s for the greater good but that look just breaks him.

Kneejerk reaction would be to reach out to you, try to explain everything. It eventually fails because the archon fails to realize that you wouldn’t want to listen to him in such a state.

Yeah, he’s going to stay “dead” unless you want to find him. He’s not gonna approach you at all after that encounter and will wallow in regret.

Man has lost way too many people in his life. The fact that he’s losing one more and it didn’t spare him the pain that they were still walking around, avoiding him, knowing that he’s alive.

ALBEDO

I feel out of everybody he’d be the least attached. Well, he makes himself out to be the least attached. In reality, he feels super guilty that he had to do that.

Took him every ounce of his body to not apologize to you, to just tell you everything and stop you from leaving.

To his credit, he does try to take a step towards your form, still betrayed. He stops himself, he keeps trying to tell himself it’s essential, but could it really be more essential than his best friend?

Sigh, Albedo just packs it up and leaves you, but doesn’t realize how guilty he does feel and sets all that aside.

He doesn’t want to lose anyone in his life, yet you lost him in your life because of that.

VENTI

Regretful, doesn’t even try to hide it.

He’s not going to chase after you. Unlike the blockhead, Morax, he knows chasing you isn’t going to do him any good nor will it help his situation at all.

He just watches you rush off. He was fine with it. He didn’t want to see how betrayed you look like or he might just crumble and give up with whatever large scheme he’s planning.

He’s probably going to isolate himself. Forget anything and everything, just hole up and regret what he did to everybody by fooling his death.

Venti’s seen many people come and go, but he hasn’t seen them come and go like this and because of his bad decisions.

XIAO

Similar to Albedo in the sense that he knows this is for the greater good, but he can’t help the sting when he sees you looking at him with wide eyes. He’s trying just to not apologize to you on the spot.

He might reach out to you, through some friends maybe, but never directly. He probably watches over you when you think he isn’t there.

He still can’t help but have his expression turn into a frown whenever you pass by Wangshu Inn and you stop, stare at it and then just leave.

He’s going to be doing a lot more patrolling nowadays. Anything to ease the karmic debt and the sadness.

He’ll live with it. Just as he’s lived with his karmic debt. There isn’t a day that passes that he doesn’t regret it though.

NINGGUANG

Ningguang steels herself, she’s still convincing herself that, yes, this is for the greater good. It’s her that avoids you at all costs, so she doesn’t see that look of betrayal when you find out from someone else.

She only asks other people to check up on you, but she never goes herself. Wouldn’t make you feel any better if you saw her, right?

She’s only heading to the Jade Chamber to pick up some documents when she passes by you kneeling at her grave. She’ll linger for a bit and keep quiet, but the guilt eats her up and she leaves before you turn around and see her there.

It’s just work, work, work and forget for Ningguang. A harsh routine but a functional one if it meant going on with this great scheme.

One day, it’s going to eat her up. We may never know when is it because this woman is bullheaded. Her patience is outstanding and we never really know when she does stop.

also - how would zhongli, venti, gorou and sucrose/sara react to a s/o reader, who gets really protective whenever they get hurt. like for example they would seek out the enemy who hurt them to get revenge :3

VENGEANCE

ZHONGLI

Oh nonono. This man is going to be worried. He’s going to scold you.

“You didn’t need to do that, it’s just a scratch.” No, it’s not a scratch Zhongli you literally have a bandage on half your arm.

He kinda likes it though. Has to resist the urge of doing it all over again to hear that you actually decided to stand up for him and give the idiot a beat down.

Scolding aside, he does appreciate the sentiment often and will tend to your injuries after you give the enemy a beatdown. Always will give you affection afterwards as a thank you.

VENTI

He’s going to laugh at you.

I’m sorry, he’s going to laugh at you for going as far as to go throw hands with the idiot that hurt him.

He’s going to tease you about it for days while fixing up your injuries and if he’s ballsy enough, he’s going to make a song about it and sing it in taverns

He, of course, appreciates the sentiment. Maybe a bit too much as he tries to piss said enemy off again and purposefully gets hurt.

GOROU

He’s going to be worried as HELL. Literally tells you no like you tell a pet no.

It’s either “violence is not the answer” or “You could’ve been hurt!”

He’s going to keep prattling about how you shouldn’t do it while fixing your injuries

Appreciates the sentiment but tries to get in trouble less. He can’t have you going off and doing that again, what’s he going to do when you get hurt?

KUJOU SARA

WORRIED, everyone here is worried except Venti. I don’t know what we can expect of the bard but Kujou Sara’s worried.

Scolds you. Tells you she could’ve done it herself. If she beat that brute oni, she can make do with the idiot that hurt her.

She might tell you what to do next time, give you some advice on how to give them a proper beating, but she won’t encourage it.

Everyone here appreciates the sentiment of course. But she’s definitely going to try and be stronger and give the idiot a beatdown herself before you can. How can she protect you if you have to go and protect her because she can’t?

A LONG TERM RELATIONSHIP WITH THEM

this. i like this. i sorted them by aspect of relationships,i did both because a flip of a coin said so (plus, i wanted to get out of my comfort zone and write for other characters and i love Zhongli, and i know first hand what it’s like ;) so it was either Zhongli or do both hihi.) i hope this was to your liking and was a long enough list!

ZHONGLI 

HOW DOES HE SHOW LOVE?

Zhongli has mastered all love languages, you can’t ever change my mind.

Quality time - 10. Physical affection - 10. Acts of service - 10. Gift giving - 10. Affirmation - 10.  

Quality time would consist of doing things you thoroughly enjoy! He might introduce you to some other things related to your hobbies that you’ll also enjoy and that he also likes so you two could spend more time together away from all the other jealous acolytes. 

Touch based includes more hand-holding than hugs. As a divine being, he figures you’re way too sacred for him to hold, so he either asks permission or you tell him to. In the context of fluffiness since I’m trying to avoid angst on this, he’s always shying away whenever you try to pull him closer to you because he’s flustered. 

Acts of service consist of massages, lots and lots of food (tea is a common one) and plenty of scooching away to do things for you when you can do it yourself. (Refurbishing your teapot would be a good example) 

Words of affirmation, hm. Now this, he absolutely excels in this department. 

Praise is everywhere to be given to you, you’re his god! With worship, comes praise and it’s a given that everywhere you go, he’ll never fail to remind you that you are enough (and i revel in that fact). 

Gift giving? As this is the SAGAU, this is an absolute given. Of course, there’ll be the expensive stuff, Noctilucous Jade, Cor Lapis, yada yada. He will of course ask if you have any preferences and acquire them immediately. (You like hot chocolate? He gets batches of them and always brews them when you’re feeling down in the dumps.) 

WHAT’S YOUR DYNAMIC?

Possible dynamics between you two would be that he’s the one getting you out of trouble, or you two are peas in a pod and enjoy talking or babbling about things others find boring or you two are simply two crackheads who are dumb because he forgets his mora. 

In the case that you’re very loyal to him, I figure that follower and the person being followed also seems rather fitting but not in the sense that it’s religious, more adoring and similar to the way you’d have a crush or an idol.

He’s going to be flustered whenever you’re shy around him so it just gets really cute and you’re both shy and it’s just UGH. 

HOW DO YOU TWO DEAL WITH PROBLEMS? 

You guys talk it out. He’s an easy person to talk to and he’s very attentive and listens well. 

Adding onto the point that he’s very attentive, he’ll probably confront you rather than you to him because of that, so it doesn’t get messy or out of hand. 

In the case that you ever get angry, he’s always willing to let you take it out on him. He’s really nice like that and he knows you’d never go to the extremes. 

He’s never gonna get angry at you. 

I swear, you’re his god for heavens sake, he couldn’t get mad at you! Least he will do is act like a saddened child or a disappointed puppy.

OTHER THINGS THAT HAPPEN

He’s cautious to act like you two are married but it slips in private away from the rest of the acolytes’ eyes. (this eventually brings up the point of getting married in the future) 

You two probably have a routine and part of it is a small separation. During that time he’s either pining for you or figuring out how to make your return to him really good because you’re usually off entertaining your other acolytes if you aren’t with him. 

VENTI

HOW DOES HE SHOW LOVE?

Venti’s adept with majority of the love languages. It just gets a bit chaotic and goes the wrong way on some others. 

Quality time - 9. Physical affection - 10. Acts of service - 8. Gift giving - 9. Affirmation - 9. 

I’ll explain why acts of service is the lowest. Sometimes his acts of service tend to get out of hand and he may or may not piss you off unintentionally (it’s all part of your dynamic, so don’t worry!). A good example is when he tries to cheer you up when you’re down in the dumps by playing one of the meme songs you introduced to him on his lyre. (it’s funny but you don’t particularly need it right now)

Quality time, he’s most likely to take you around everywhere in Mondstadt and follow you around to Liyue and Inazuma as much as Ei and Morax aren’t as happy with the idea. Quality time may get chaotic that you two will have to face some consequences from the more over-protective acolytes ( cough Zhongli) but its fun! 

Gift giving, there’s the usual, “here have the finest things from my nation!” archon routine, but there’s also giving unusual gifts with meanings you can’t decipher. He’d find a oddly shaped hashbrown and say “this reminded me of you, Your Grace! Please eat it!” (it was delicious) 

Affirmation, he gets a bit teasing that it sort of gets out of hand. Being the mischief doer he is, he might push your buttons but he’ll always redeem himself afterwards with hugs and affection and sweet, sweet praise.

Touch based, he’s bound to be very clingy to the point it also gets out of hand (he’s borderline, lowkey obsessive). There’s been a good amount of times you nearly fell while he was holding on to your arm.

WHAT’S YOUR DYNAMIC?

You get him out of trouble, you two are crackheads, or you two are friendly rivals who clash against each other teasingly.

In the case that you’re really loyal to him, you’d be partners in crime. He’d take you on little escapade to get some of that good dandelion wine and you two would have to run away from Diluc’s and Jean’s scolding. 

He’s slightly hesitant to accept your loyalty and adoration to him, but he takes it. It works out well in the end and he makes use of it to tease you. 

HOW DO YOU TWO DEAL WITH PROBLEMS?

You’d have to confront him no matter what. Venti’s a slight airhead, imo. He’s usually waving off things and you’d have to be direct with him if you want him to fix something. 

When you do confront him, he’s always gonna listen, and he’s always gonna be beating himself up for being the problem and do better. He really loves you though, so he revels in the fact that you’re happy when he does fix something and that brings his ego right back up. 

He has ZERO problems with you. We’re in the SAGAU, so no one questions you, at all. 

They’re all just sad or jealous cats and puppies I tell you.

OTHER THINGS THAT HAPPEN

Exact opposite of Zhongli and acts like you two are married. Doesn’t give a fuck that the other acolytes are there scolding him or glaring at him. 

Getting married wasn’t really a thought that crossed his mind and he’s happy as is. If ever you do bring it up to him, he’ll certainly be overjoyed. 

Steals you away from every acolyte. He has his turn as always but there’s privileges to being in a long term relationship with you, and the acolytes can’t do anything but to concede.

Sweet divine whispers are not unfamiliar to you.

As the deity of Teyvat, many would choose to confide in you as their supreme all knowing god in hopes that you’d give them guidance.

Albedo finds himself in a dilemma whenever such is brought up. Do you not crumble upon the weight of something as heavy as one’s deepest secrets? Not even dark, but just something deep, and hidden.

Something under all that layer of skin that only you and the person know.

Under all the chalk Albedo’s made from, he sometimes wonders if he really has something to tell you. Something to release to you and lift a burden he didn’t even realize was there.

Unlike himself, what burdens him is in no way synthetic.

He refuses to fabricate something for the sake of mere fabrication. Albedo knows that deceit will only lead to nowhere. Deceit isn’t something to be presented to an all-knowing god. His all knowing god.

He’s composed but his whisper is meek, barely a wisp above the wind.

It is never planned, proven by how Albedo just stops his experiment in Dragonspine while you watched, to confess that he feels…bad to be doing an experiment. Not especially since he’d met Rubedo.

He’s shaken up.

The sympathy gnaws at him and it begs for him to let it out to you.

There’s no songs, there’s no poems, there are no art to represent how Albedo could feel. Even if he made it himself, could he really pour everything out in just that?

Truly, there sometimes is no word for such feelings.

Similar to how there is no word for how comforting and understanding you could be. You know what, he’ll do you a favor.

Confiding in you doesn’t need to be sad. He doesn’t need to dump it. There’s always a right time, and there’d always be a right place.

Of course, there’s the simple things you can always confide to someone.

And that’s exactly what Albedo does.

He prefers to tell you the simple things that make his day brighter, the simple things he doesn’t want to share with anybody but you, so that maybe your day would be brighter as well. Albedo isn’t a man of big gestures, and prefers the small things that make living so much more interesting.

These little things are natural. They come naturally and out of coincidence when he doesn’t expect it, enticing the need for an outlet to release his creativity and emotions, may it be a person who would listen or his sketchboard or canvas.

There are also small things that would bother him, and he knows it won’t lead anywhere if he simply brushes it off. Communication is key, that’s his motto in anything related to confessing.

Like how one time, he’d seen something that reminded him of Rubedo. He told you how it made him feel awful. How he wishes he could’ve found a way to give Rubedo a chance to experience life.

Then he’d tell you how pretty he thought of the idea. Having a companion very similar, yet unique to him. It’s a wonderful sight.

All the other undermining thoughts of how he thought of himself because of that were pushed away, filtered like dirt in supposed to be drinking water. And like drinking water, the product is always the better outcome. It’s clean, it’s pure, it’s easy to swallow the information and not be left with a lump in your throat from guilt.

Sometimes when there’s dirt left in it, and you’d notice, you’d sympathize and want to comfort him, Albedo will tell you, an ear who would listen is enough. You needn’t let yourself be swayed by his emotions.

Albedo wants nothing but the best to show you. Flaws are a part of a process to showing nothing but the best.

When he’s all but filtered everything, when he’s left all that extra baggage and no longer feels the excess weight he carries. That is when you find only the best, offered to you in devout adoration and thanks.

Albedo lives naturally. He breathes naturally and feels naturally as if breathing air. Emotions don’t seem to hang him down anymore the more he talks to you, and it isn’t an unhealthy coping mechanism.

What would he have to cope with anyways? The fact that you’re so good that he knows that no one in Teyvat deserves you?

Maybe not.

You are like a large body of water, pure water. Overflowing with rich sustenance, and unfortunately, dumped onto. Albedo wants to free you of that.

The confiding tends to go the other way around because of this. He instead implores you to confide in him instead, so that you’re free of the one burden you have on your back. It’s always a fun time, because he makes it one.

“Your Grace, are you up for some painting today?”

Like I said, when the occasion calls for it, and you need an outlet to release pent up emotions, there’s words, and there’s art. Art is always the best way when Albedo finds you aren’t one for words today.

There’s a concept in science about ecological interaction where one benefits from the other equally. Albedo would like to apply that concept to this situation. Mutualism is working together, being beneficial to each other.

Albedo hopes that as you are beneficial to him by being a person who would listen to him, he would be too in the same way.

Certainly you are, right?

If the way you seem more energetic after one of your painting sessions couldn’t speak for itself, then maybe it would be how you always looked forward to said paintings sessions.

It’s always made a point in your filled schedule to save some time to paint with Albedo, and you never miss a single one of them. Never.

When asked, the thought of it seems to upset you even. Upsetting you wasn’t on anyone’s list to do for today, so they’d oblige.

In the end, you’d all but amassed multiple paintings and multiple fond memories and left without a burden to carry on your shoulders.

To be natural is to be free. And now you were, and so was Albedo, gold running through his veins, love and adoration pouring out through his creations.

hmm, i'd order chocolate crepe cake (secret santa)/matcha cherry cheesecake (tiptoe under the mistletoe) for the treats. then for the drinks i'd order caramel brulee latte (burnt sweet) and for the christmas menu, winter dream tea latte and if i feel it enough, pumpkin spice latte.

for the charas, it'd be zhongli, albedo and probably ei or xiao. all of them would be hot (perhaps if i'm bold, i'd make the matcha cold MWAHAHA) because i'm a sucker for fluff even if i have plenty of angsty ideas, and grande because i don't want to make it too long for the writer or too short for my satisfaction

short BTS on the caramel brulee latte, i was watching markiplier making crème brûlée (link) and the idea of it being burnt sweet just came to me and i couldn't stop laughing for the rest of the night
