The Zaragovian royal family keeps most portraits of previous rulers open for public viewing except a particular few, mainly of those who’d done atrocious things and the like. It’s not surprising to know that Amelie’s portrait is in a more private area of the palace-- simply because she destroyed two kingdoms, was the source of various casualties and y’know.. ate her husband.

although amelie is pretty much a shell of her former self and just overall a nasty lass, she does have a soft spot for children-- mainly due to the fact she never got to raise her own daughter. anytime she sees a child it reminds her of the time she lost, and how blessed the parent is.

if she ever ran into a situation where a child was mistreated by their own parent she would more than likely deal with the culprit in drastic ways.
