Sad and Soft

⌠❖⌡ The words spoken by the other causes a pause to occur, the expression he wore was nothing short of forlorn and crestfallen no matter how you looked at it. Standing in front of something again after so long made his heart feel more than just heavy, the feeling of emotions he usually held back and kept behind an unbreakable mask it was hard to keep it all back and pent in. No matter how many years of Blade training or being in space could ever hope to prepare him for something of this caliber, here he was, after many years of being away and in space before him sits a stone he knew all too well even if he only got to gaze upon it a short while before being picked up by the Blade's and taken to his new home. 

"Been a while, hasn't it, dad?" 

The words are spoken in a quiet manner, as he bends down to one knee and places his forehead softly against the cool stone that appeared weathered away from the elements it had to endure. Yet, the name on the front of it still clearly reads 'Brandon Kogane' on the front of it, there are no flowers here as no one could visit this place while the invasion was taking place it felt so devoid of life as any graveyard would he supposed. For a while, it doesn't look like he's going to answer James's words, whom he had brought along seeing that the other had listened to Keith's talk about what happened to him and how his father had died in the first place. 

It's only after a few more moments, that he removes his head from the stone and looks upon the other standing there watching. "Thank you, James." It was all he could muster through the tears that stained his eyes, even his voice sounded strained to the highest manner after speaking just those three words for a man who never showed emotion... This is clearly nothing short of having that stoic front shattered like a glass mirror that just had a rock thrown into it.

⌠❖⌡ A pause followed upon feeling the other cuddle up to him while fast asleep on the couch, it caused him to blink with a light rose tint crossing his pale features. Really, he's never been so close to anyone before he didn't really know what to do in situations like this, emotion was still a hard thing for him to entirely comprehend from the extensive blade training he went through as a child even if he retained more humanity than most. 

Yet... This felt strangely warm in a way that he didn't understand even remotely, so, he didn't disturb the other's sleep just ended up pulling a blanket over James and giving a small smile after the confused expression faded away. Okay... This was kinda cute, not that he'd openly admit that out loud really he doesn't quite know where they stand, but, he did know he enjoyed James's closeness and company by far more than just a means of normal friendship.
