It was a zane and kai centric episode and it was animated in the Lego Monkie Kid artstyle and it was implied to be the tiger widow episode except it was nothing like it 😭. It was more fitting as a season 1 episode I’ll put it like that.

The main 4 plus Wu were looking for venom from this one spider lady? She looked really similar to faith… But kai did some crazy stunt and suddenly the caves started collapsing….. So faith kinnie over here decided to head out because there was no way she was sticking around for this. The cave collapses. Kai is too focused on retrieving the venom they dropped and in the heart of the moment sets the cave on FIRE. And ZANE is too inexperienced to put it out. So they’re sitting there like????? tf now????

Kai crashes out!!! He fr gave up. So Zane is the one to kind of ……… wander around……. They have a little heart to heart while they’re at it, it was very oppositeshipping coded…. While Zane is searching he finds a puddle of water and goes “oh shit that’s goated” before using it to put the fire out with his ice.

Then him and Kai walk out shoulder to shoulder and Zane said something along the lines of “we really do balance each other out 😼” before reuniting with the rest of the ninja. AND THEN I WOKE UP 🔥

Well, now that I'm starting to feel better, I guess I can give up some of my more opposing headcannons!

As much as Zane likes cooking, he loves that Kai is just as handy in the kitchen. While he might not be as good with making more complex dishes, he's still able to pull off a decent spicy miso ramen!

It always amazes Zane just how much Kai can make with left-overs and food scraps. When Zane asked him how he learned all of this, Kai just told him that it was common sense.

It took him a while, but he eventually broke Kai of his habit of never throwing away any left-overs.

Both Nya and Kai would freak out if anyone tried to throw something away that could have still have been used for something else!

After a while, Kai loved having Zane around whenever he had to cook, because it always calmed him down.

Once Kai got the hang of not having to worry about weather they would have enough to eat for their next meal, he really started to put more effort into flavor instead of particular ingredients.

Zane also started to use his heart instead of exact measurements for his cooking, in the same way that Kai would do.
