In Lebreau's FFXV verse, I pictured her being am Insomnia native. Having dated either Prompto or Gladiolus in her teens. But teenagers make mistakes and for one reason or another they broke it off.

Lebreau originally intended to become a member of Kingsglaive, but the city no longer felt like home the more she trained. (This is also partial due to the loss of her friendship & relationship with Prompto/Gladiolus.) Following her gut, Lebreau backed out of her future Kingsglaive position, and moved to Lestallum.

When Prince Noctis and his friends make their journey to Lestallum to find Gladiolus' sister Iris, they see another familiar face.

Kris gets beat up in the dark world and when they come back to the light world, the wounds stay and someone sees them hurt. 

Getting split up from the others in the dark world and being totally lost. 

Feeling very lonely and sad and trying to awkwardly reach out to anyone since they can’t reach out to azzy anymore.
