hi. thank you to those of you who reached out to check on me. needless to say, my adoptive city of Los Angeles has been devastated over the last four days and the fight to save it is ongoing. i had to evacuate late tuesday evening as wind speeds hit north of 80 mph, creating a literal fire hurricane that proceeded to sweep through multiple cities and burn them to the ground.

the images coming out of those neighborhoods are apocalyptic.

today, i was able to return to my home. it is safe. so are my husband, my beloved dogs, and me. but THOUSANDS of fellow residents have lost everything.

if you want to help, please check out MUTUAL AID LA and their fire & wind storm resources. and please pray for all of my beloved neighbors and the firefighters who have come to our rescue - i cannot tell you the number of times we have cried with relief at the sight of the helicopters, super scoopers, and other air attack planes now that the winds have calmed. they are genuine heroes and we owe them our lives.

we are far from out of the woods, but there is finally HOPE - this is the city of angels and we need ALL of them watching over us now.
