"If one came to your house, waved something potentially dangerous on your face while saying a threat, would you want them to stay there?" Shyvana replied. Yes, she had mentioned magic was being eased in, that was why there were, before the evacuation there were small displays of magic. Nothing too eye catching, but it was there. Even so she could not trully expect to be able to voice an obvious threat and not have an consequences of her actions, yes?
"Feeling and voicing those feelings are two completely different things, and I think we both know that." This stranger clearly knew somethings, things that were known only by those in Demacia at the time. Was she there when Sylas broke loose? While Jarvan ahd made some questiononble orders, she had been the first to point out that at the time, nothing had been done and he had reverted some of his statements at the time. Now what everyone wanted was peace.
Still, she needed to know who this one was, especially since Nith seemed to know much more than an ordinary visitor of Demacia shouldn't. Worse case scenario.... well, she was hers to arrest if needed and she would discuss this problem with Jarvan so he could make sure to give her the chance he saw more fit.
What to do? If she allowed this one to dictate what she could or not do, her autorithy as guard, not to mention safety and other things, would be put at risk. If she just ignored the other's request for talking, then it would backfire as well since it would imply the king's reign was not one open to constrututive critiques and improving. At least, that was her interpretation. Ugh, she would have a talk with Jarvan to not deploy the Dragon Guard for this sort of duty again, or at least keep her out of it if possible. Too much at stake for someone like her to deal with.
"Alright, you have one chance to pleed your case. If you fail... well, you already know the outcome." Shyvana said after a few heartbeats. "Come with me." She added. The dragon lead Nith to a secluded room, inside one of the official quarters.
"Speak."
Something about everything the woman mentioned didn't seem to her to be mere coincidence or a mistake. She began to think about why she included herself when she mentioned dragons or why there was supposedly magic allowed in Demacia. Thinking about it, it was the second time she mentioned it so she couldn't be referring to potions or other similar things. Territories, dragons, magic… something… something sounded similar. As if he had heard it before. A gossip, rumor, lurking in the cells.
If she wanted to ask her about it or be clearer about what gave her doubts she would have to consult her somewhere else, not exposed to the public eye. And above all, she could not allow herself to be banned from Demacia.
"As far as I can see we have three options: Discuss it elsewhere." -she said it in a very calm and confident manner despite the half-dragon's imposing stance.
"If you say that magic is being allowed, then mention that for making only visual use of mine I'm going to be banned isn't that a bit... discriminating? Considering I haven't used it for any purpose other than visual? I haven't created fire, assembled a pillar of ice, let alone 'used a beam of light that can bring down city walls'."
She took a breath and held her basket close to her chest once more. She knew things, things that it was not in Shyvana's best interest to mention in public.
"And second. Yes, I said that, but clearly I haven't committed anything and I'm not going to. It was a past tense sentence, which means my thoughts were those at the time, years ago. Many may not speak up because of the fear they still feel considering the RADICAL actions the KING took back then. Like killing many mages and soldiers. Banning others. Locking others in cells and forcing them to drink a liquid similar to poison to them…. Yes, I believe one, if not, SEVERAL thought the same as I did back then."
She took a deep breath. "So, where should we talk?"
