      distance  edges  in  his  gaze  ,  power  seeps  from  him  and  he  knows  ,  can  feel  the  ribbons  tied  to  him  as  a  stark  reminder  of  what  he  can  do  .  yet  ---  she  doesn’t  seem  to  react  the  way  that  he’d  anticipated  .  and  still  ,  he  edges  closer  ,  two  hands  laced  at  the  small  of  his  back  ,  a  curious  expression  worn  with  ease  and  his  head  donned  with  bright  silver  shaded  hair  tilting  ever  so  slightly  to  the  side  .  some  things  can  be  undone  ,  others  have  been  too  …  overcreated  ,  therefore  they  are  already  broken  .  ❛      tell  me  ,  what  do  you  think  you  or  i  have  to  be  grateful  for  ?        ❜

        the  question  comes  with  a  shred  of  dignity  to  it  ,  a  perfected  posture  ,  a  curious  expression  honed  in  on  dark  narrowed  gaze  .  fingers  toy  with  the  lighter  in  his  hands  while  he  does  so  ,  an  imagery  of  a  man  familiar  with  mayhem  .  yet  he  is  not  entirely  a  man  ---  no  ,  he  is  a  burden  of  HELL  surviving  in  his  own  self  made  purgatory  where  they  reap  the  wicked    .  ❛      i  have  no  choice  on  who  i  am  ,  what  kind  of  person  i  will  be  ,  but  you    ...       ❜      with  this  ,  there’s  a  near  sinister  feeling  within  his  tone  ,  the  already  deep  octave  dipping  a  note  darker  while  he  goes  on  ,  ❛      you  choose  to  hate  it  when  it’s  something  that  i’m  sure  piques  that  innocent  little  curiosity  in  you       ❜

      𝐀  𝐅𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐋𝐈𝐀𝐑  𝐒𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍  𝐂𝐀𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐒  𝐀𝐂𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐒  𝐇𝐈𝐒  𝐁𝐎𝐍𝐄𝐒  ,  dangerous  intent  lingering  in  the  air  and  for  once  it  is  not  his  own  ,  but  a  semblance  belonging  to  another  .  from  the  shadows  ,  he  watches  ,  curious    gaze  sharp  as  an  argument  ensues  ,  fear  radiating  through  the  air  that  he  did  not  perpetuate  and  while  it  surrounds  his  skin  like  a  blanket  ,  it  feels  wrong  .  foreign  ,  soaked  in  terror  too  old  to  understand  fully  ;  and  of  course  ,  there  is  an  aggressor  ,  they  wait  in  the  wings  ,  vile  words  escaping  his  mouth  and  taemin  has  decided  this  …  whatever  it  is  has  caused  enough  damage  to  the  fragile  ecosystem  he’s  created  .

         eyes  shift  ,  a  bright  silver  lining  pupils  black  as  the  aggressor’s  fist  drops  to  his  side  ,  panic  eroding  ,  taemin  can  feel  the  fear  spreading  across  the  man’s  bones  as  he  emerges  from  the  shadows  while  a  slick  tsk  tsk  tsk  sound  escapes  from  ice  cold  lips  .  ❛      there’s  something  poetic  here       ❜    even  his  voice  is  chilled  ,  chilling  the  room  around  them  ,     ❛      something  about  picking  on  someone  your  own  size  ;  i  think  i  heard  one  of  those  famed  heroes  speak  it  once ❜      but  he  is  NO  HERO  ,  just  someone  at  the  right  place  ,  at  the  right  time  .

            𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐋  𝐈𝐒  𝐔𝐍𝐃𝐎𝐔𝐁𝐓𝐄𝐃𝐋𝐘  ,  𝐓𝐇𝐄  𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐓𝐎𝐌𝐄  𝐎𝐅  𝐒𝐔𝐑𝐕𝐈𝐕𝐀𝐋  ,  he  knows  this  ;  it  fuels  his  own  lifespan  ,  it  shifts  the  balance  to  an  immortal’s  favor  .  what  he  stands  before  is  the  definition  in  lacking  ,  blood  pooling  across  a  corpse  ,  smears  of  crimson  decorating  a  hotel  room  ,  it’s  a  disaster  far  beyond  creation  ,  but  it  is  one  he  is  all  too  familiar  with  .  

                            lucky  for  her  ,  he  holds  little  regard  to  humanity  ,  lucky  for  her  he  understands  the  need  to  control  such  urges  to  destroy  it  .  

              ❛        i  would  call  it  …  a  minor  setback        ❜    collected  voice  finally  speaks  ,  the  echo  of  expensive  loafers  sounding  through  the  dead  silence  in  the  room  ,  as  they  near  the  body  .  it  takes  a  moment  ,  but  he  looks  to  her  ,  blood  settling  in  the  corners  of  her  mouth  ,  damage  crossing  where  the  hunger  still  remains  strong  .  still  ,  there  is  reassurance  within    his  tone  ,  almost  gentle  ,  hardly  scolding  as  he  looks  to  the  wreckage  that  she’s  created  ,      ❛      to  completely  lose  it  ,  you  have  to  not  care  ,  so  i  suppose  you  should  consider  the  question  of  whether  this  is  the  sort  of  vampire  you  want  to  be       ❜

       likened  to  a  whipping  veil  ,  a  certain    sullen  expression  emerges  upon  his  features  ,  jawline  pulling  taut  the  moment  he  looks  away  .  this  was  to  be  expected  .  an  eternity  of  moments  like  this  ,  day  in  ,  day  out  ,  he’s  always  meant  to  circulate  this  line  of  hours  with  ease  and  yet  …  for  the  shortest  of  moments  ,  he  stumbles    .  it’s  a  weakness  ,  clarity  clouded  like  smog  building  from  a  fire  ,  knowing  too  damn  well  what  must  be  avoided    .  ❛      you  and  i  both  know  that’s  not  what’s  best  no  matter  what  your  heart  may  tell  you        ❜

      humans  and  their  emotions  .  a  plague  upon  mankind  ,  a  disaster  of  what  could  have  been  favored  for  the  brave  ,  but  taemin  ----  he  is  half  of  such  creature    ,  banned  from  the  liveliness  that  they  enjoy  ,  distanced  from  the  sanctuary  of  demonkind  ,  he  remains  in  a  sense  of  purgatory  .    solace  never  to  be  found  over  the  course  of  centuries  and  yet  in  this  moment  ,  he  understands  .  mostly  .    ❛     it  sounds  to  me  like  you  need  to  either  deal  with  it  ,  or  find  yourself  an  escape  ,  some  things  just  aren’t  worth  the  trouble          ❜
