Muse⇥ Louis Piquet, 21-28, He/Him, Bisexual, Underground Fighter/Dealer. Connection ⇥Fling that’s becoming something a little more serious… something Louis fears/doesn’t really understand because he isn’t big on relationships. Plot ⇥ Louis' sister drops by unannounced with his niece needing a babysitter while Tanner's over. Closed ⇥ for @musicallyiinclined.
Louis grinned when there was a knock on the door "It's about time, they better have waved the delivery fee." he huffed as he jumped up off the couch and headed for the door. What he was met with definitely wasn't a large peperoni pizza though. "Uncle LuLu." a little girls voice flowed through the apartment. He was quick to scoop the girl up as she ran at him. He flashed his sister a worried glance however once he realized that everything was alright his face turned to one of displeasure. They didn't do this. She didn't bring Birdie here because firstly Louis home wasn't exactly child proof and it wasn't in the best neighborhood. Secondly you could never be to sure who he had over... case in point Tanner who was now watching them from the couch. "I didn't want to bring her but you don't answer your phone and I didn't have another option." she spoke "I'm sorry if I ruined your plans." she said nodding at Tanner "but if I cancel this meeting again than I'm going to loose another client." She spoke and without waiting for Louis' response she kissed the little girls head and then his cheek "I'll be back to get her first thing in the morning." she spoke before descending back down the apartment stairs.

Louis chuckled softly with a nod. He really wasn't the type to be all cheesy and romantic so he was glad that Tanner wasn't expecting much of a change now that they had put a title on it. He turned the mans head with his fingers lightly pressed the hockey players chin before kissing him. He shifted so that he was hovering above him now, pushing Tanner back into the pillows "Now where were we?" He questioned, moving his lips down the other mans body.

"Thank you.." Tanner allowed himself to be held, surprised that Louis had initiated it in the first place. Tender moments like these were still somewhat rare, though they'd been happening more and more frequently as of late. He chose to interpret it as a sign that the fighter truly did care about him, and wasn't just saying it to ensure that they would keep sleeping together. Louis' question made him laugh, shoving the other man playfully as he rolled his eyes. "Oh shut up," he told him, shaking his head. "Things don't have to change, Lou. Not really." Other than him trying to be faithful, obviously. "I like what we have now. I don't need all that cheesy stuff." Louis wasn't really the type, and since Tanner had never been in a relationship before he figured he wasn't either.

Plot ⇥ In honor of SPOTIFY WRAPPED, send me a number 1-100 and I'll write you a starter based on the song. You chose #28 (Sympathy by To Close To Touch) for no specified muses. Open To ⇥ Closed starter for @musicallyiinclined.
"There's a sickness living inside me... you can spare me all your sympathy." Louis spoke as he stood in the doorway to Tanner's apartment. Perhaps he shouldn't have shown up to the mans house unannounced with no idea if his roommate was home or not but he couldn't help himself. Perhaps it was the alcohol, or maybe the fact that he had mixed it with a Xanax or two but the man was allowing his feelings to get the better of him and at the moment they were devouring him, forcing his fight or flight instincts to kick in and Louis had long ago decided that flight wasn't an option anymore.

Muse⇥ Louis Piquet, 21-28, He/Him, Bisexual, Underground Fighter/Dealer. Connection ⇥ Boyfriend (man that feels weird) Plot ⇥ Based off of this post. You sent 💋(to give muse a kiss) for Tanner and Louis. Open To ⇥ Closed starter for @musicallyiinclined.
Louis couldn't help the smile that spread across his face as he stood up along with the other fans in the stands, cheering out as Tanner managed to hit the puck smack dab in the middle of the goal. The two teams had been tied, participating in a shoot off for the last several moments before the blonde had managed to smack the puck smack into the net. Louis made his way through the crowd once things died down a little, figuring that the hockey player would want to have a few minutes of celebration with his team, in all honesty the fighter wasn't even sure if Tanner had spotted him in the crowd or not, he hadn't informed him that he was coming even though the man had left him a ticket to attend. Louis smiled when Tanner spotted him making his way towards him, wearing the mans jersey like they had joked about all that time ago. "You were fucking fantastic." He grinned. Once the two were in distance of each other Louis reached out, cupping the hockey players cheek before kissing him. Perhaps he should have asked before doing something so bold in front of a crowd but he hadn't.

"Ooo a stalker... I think that's a new one." He chuckled obviously unphased by the woman's words. Yes he had been at her home three times but that had nothing to do with her and more his need to get off, and her roommate had been more than willing to assist him in that. "I'll have you know the host is an old friend." He hummed "Who do you know here?" He questioned almost a little challenging. He had had no clue that Elodie would be here tonight but he wasn't all that disappointed either. He would have had a perfectly fine night had she not showed up but now that he knew that she was here he was more than happy to wiggle his way underneath her skin a little more.
of course elodie was relieved that everytime he was over that she got some kind of heads up to avoid he pair, choosing either a friends or a hotel to stay in for the night. it was a massive inconvenience rather than being in the comfort of her own home, but she did it to avoid the conversations that riled her up no one had done before. some would argue that this was because she was attracted to him, but she would dispute that until she was blue in the face. "oh.. i'm following you? says the person whose been in my house three times now, is it? and is now at a party i am at? seems like stalker behaviour to me."

Louis grew up in a toxic environment. His father was an abusive drunk and no matter how hard his mother tried she couldn't shield her children from that. Very quickly the boy took his fathers abuse as his burden to bare, purposely getting himself into trouble in order to protect his mother and little sister, assuming that if his father had a reason to be mad at him than he wouldn't have the time to find little things to be angry at them for.
Louis was introduced to the underground fighting scene at the age of fourteen. A fellow peer had caught a glimpse of the bruises and mistook it as a sign that the boy enjoyed the sport. He took him to a fight club that he was a part of and Louis instantly fell in love. Not because he enjoyed it but because he finally saw an out. If he could train eventually he could take on someone bigger than him... someone like his father and finally liberate his family from the mans clutches.
Sadly that chance never came. Instead mere days before Louis sixteenth birthday his father decided to take his mothers life after she finally worked up the nerve to take the children and leave him.
With their mother gone and their father in prison the kids were thrown into the system, not having any other family around to care for them. Isabella was adopted fairly quickly, however Louis found himself struggling to gain a permanent residence. Eventually he ran away from his group home, taking up residency with a few friends from the fight club.
He started dealing drugs and fighting just for survival. Eventually falling in love with an addict that he had been dealing to. He stayed with her for a few years. Although she was an addict it was the healthiest relationship that Louis had ever experienced. She taught him that you could truly allow yourself to open up to another person... she overdosed. Louis still wears the ring he planned on proposing with on a chain around his neck.
Since then Louis has become stone cold. He tends to use people for his own personal pleasure/gain. He's extremally protective of those he does allow into his life although that doesn't happen often as he prefers to keep most people at an arms length.
He currently lives in a rundown one bedroom apartment on the bad side of town. You would think with the money he makes fighting he would afford a better place but he currently is spending a large part of his salary supporting his sister and niece from the shadows.
Although he was born with his fathers last name Louis legally changed his last name to his mothers maiden name as soon as he turned eighteen.

Louis chuckled as he pushed the other half of his French toast in front of the women. "Don't go getting used to it." he spoke. Louis wasn't much of a cook himself but he knew how to do the basics. You sorta had to if you wanted to survive on your own and that was something that he had been doing for far to long.
"Since he started looking more at home in my own kitchen than I do. I don't know if I remember the last time I actually cooked something in here." There's a small grin on Leila's face as she pours herself her own glass of orange juice and steals a quick bite of his french toast. "God, that's good. I'm going to have to insist you make another plate. Immediately."

Louis chuckled softly at Tanner's words because they were probably true. The two came from completely different walks of life. Louis needed to lock his doors at night to prevent a break in. Tanner locked his in an effort to prevent his roommate from walking in on them having sex. Louis kissed the other man lightly, a hint of a smile gracing his lips. He couldn't lie he always seemed to sleep better in a bed shared with Tanner, although he wasn't going to admit that. "Goodnight T." He murmured lowly.

He smiled and shifted until he could pull the blankets over them both, clearly pleased that Louis was going to stay over. He'd missed sharing his bed with the other man, even if they were doing nothing more than sleeping. "Yeah, because this is such a tough neighborhood," Tanner answered dryly as he settled back in, his lips quirking as he felt the kiss against his head. "You know that the scariest thing that hangs around here is you." Tilting his head back, he studied Louis' face for a moment before leaning in so he could kiss him softly. "Goodnight, Lou."

Louis nodded "Yeah I'll stay the night." He spoke lowly. Admittedly the man was tired but that wasn't the only reason that he wanted to stay the night. He missed sleeping beside the other male. He hadn't had a good night sleep since the last time he had had Tanner in his bed. Louis kissed Tanner's head "Wouldn't want to leave you here all alone if Miles isn't coming home tonight." he spoke as if Tanner had never spent a night on his own before.
Tanner rolled his eyes, even though he should've expected Louis' sarcastic remark. "That's not what I meant and you know it, asshole," he said, but there was no heat in his tone. Instead he gave the fighter's side a playful poke, before wrapping his arm around his waist and letting out a sigh. Getting off twice had taken all the tension out of his muscles, and he knew that it wouldn't be long before he fell asleep. "Do you want to stay the night?" It seemed likely that Louis would, but he wanted to ask just in case the man needed an out. Miles already knew about him, so it wasn't like he'd have to sneak out in the morning, but still.

"What do you mean? It's no secret that I've been with other people. I mean did we or did we not just fuck?" Louis spoke with a dismissive chuckle. He knew that wasn't what Tanner meant and his reflection to the question was an answer within itself. Yes that was one of the reasons that Louis hadn't been with anyone in a romantic sense since. That among the years of trauma his father had inflicted on him when it came to relationships and what love should actually look like but he wasn't about to do a deep dive into his past.
He had to quickly bite back another apology before it could slip out, not wanting to upset Louis any further. It was true that Tanner didn't know what else to say, but he also hated that the fighter had had to live through something so terrible in the first place. That was mostly why he was sorry, but he understood why Louis didn't want to hear it. "Is that why.. Have you not been with anyone else since then?" he asked, not sure if there was a better way to phrase it than that. Louis' avoidance of relationships was no secret, but it still felt taboo to ask him straight out why they couldn't just be together.

"Don't do that." Louis spoke quietly "Don't apologize for something that you had no control over." Louis hated that. He associated it with pity. All of those social workers who had apologized for how shitty his father was, or when he wound up back in the group home waiting for potential placements, or the look on the doctors face when he apologized even though Madisyn had been long gone before Louis had managed to get her to a hospital. They weren't apologizing because they felt responsible they did it out of pity because they didn't know how else to react. It was why he had stopped opening up to people... he hated the pity when it was the life he had lived through not them. "It was Hell." he admitted when Tanner said he couldn't even imagine how it had felt. "But it wasn't the first time I had to live through a tragedy and it surely wasn't the last." The was a change to the way he was speaking now... slipping back into the guarded face level answers. However there was still a part of him hanging on like he wanted to talk to Tanner about it and not close him out again.
Tanner's breath caught at his admission, and for a moment he was too stunned to speak. What could he say, anyway? Hearing that Louis' fiancée had died.. His heart ached for the other man, and without realizing he was doing it his hold on him tightened slightly. "I'm sorry, Lou," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. He was glad that he wasn't looking at the fighter, his cheek once more resting against his chest and making it easier to speak the words. "That sucks, I can't.. I can't even imagine what that must've been like." No wonder Louis was so against opening himself up to other people. Suddenly it all made sense, and Tanner regretted all of the harsh thoughts he'd had over the course of their.. Whatever this was. He wasn't going to ask what had happened to her, even though he was curious, because it wasn't his business. It was enough that Louis had even told him about her at all.

Louis chuckled at the mans admittance that eighteen was young because yes that was obvious. While most kids were getting ready for college he had been planning on dedicating his life to someone. He didn't get catch the undertone of jealousy or the hurt from the other man or he probably would have stopped talking. Been quick to close himself off again and never bring up the topic again. His chest tightened at the following question, his hand freezing in Tanner's hair. He should have known it was coming... it was the next sensible question to ask when someone told you that they were almost married once. "Uh she passed away before we could make it official." He admitted, shifting a little uncomfortably but not letting his grip on Tanner go. There was a part of him that was begging him to stop talking. If he told Tanner about Madisyn than she was no longer his.
"What?" Louis' confession was the last thing Tanner had expected him to say, and the question was out of him before he could stop it. Louis had been engaged? Mister anti-commitment himself? That was the shock of a lifetime in Tanner's eyes, and he was also surprised to feel a spark of jealousy. So the fighter was capable of having a real relationship, apparently he just wasn't interested when the other person was Tanner. Great. Good to know. That stung more than he wanted to admit, but he didn't bring it up, just pushed the thought to the back of his mind. "That's young," he said, somewhat stupidly. He couldn't imagine being engaged at eighteen; he'd been just a closeted kid getting drafted to the NHL, and the idea of settling down with someone on top of that made his head spin. "Why didn't you get married?"

Seeing the band between Tanner's finger caused Louis heart to swell slightly. He could lie. Tell the man that the ring belonged to his mother or something and feather that story with even more lies if he chose to ask further questions but the fighter was to worn out for lies. "I was engaged when I was younger." Louis spoke, his fingers moving through Tanner's hair mindlessly. Admittedly it probably wasn't the time for such a confession but Louis wasn't really thinking straight. "I was eighteen, it feels like a lifetime ago now." he laughed softly at the memory. Admittedly he had never truly been engaged, he had never had the chance to propose but God knew he would have if he had.
Tanner wasn't far behind Louis as the final thrust pushed the fighter over the edge, needing only a few strokes from his own hand to bring on his second orgasm of the night. As Louis collapsed onto the bed beside him he rolled over to rest his head against the other man's chest, releasing a satisfied hum as he curled into his side. They'd made a mess of his sheets, but that was a worry for another time, mainly when Tanner wasn't feeling so worn out. "I'm glad you came by," he said, the words falling easily from his lips since he couldn't see Louis' face. What he could see was the necklace he always wore, or more specifically the ring that hung from the chain. Without thinking his fingers drifted toward it, gently tracing the band. "What's this?" he asked, lifting his head so he could see Louis' face. He'd noticed the ring before, of course, but had never had the courage to ask until now.

Louis' pace was a little harder and rougher than it probably should have been starting out but he couldn't help himself. He was boiling. If Tanner slipped up and spoke the name of the person that he had given himself to he probably would have stopped mid bang to go and beat the shit out of them. Again not that he had a right to but he didn't care. He hungerly kissed the hockey player, the fumes dying down with every grunt that left the other males lips. He pulled away to look at Tanner when the man requested he slow down. He looked into his blue eyes, getting lost for a moment as he slowed his thrusts. He kept on like that, slow deep thrusts before he grabbed Tanner's face and kissed him, deep and slow... not the way he usually allowed himself to kiss a partner. He was coming undone. A few strokes later and the fighter was truly coming undone, breathing heavily as he reached his climax, slumping against Tanner soon after the peak.
Tanner kissed back hungrily, even as he spread his legs to make it easier for Louis to prep him. He couldn't help but think that the fighter's silence was a result of his jealousy at the thought of Tanner with someone else. Good. Let him feel what it's like for a change. Small, needy noises escaped him as Louis' fingers worked him open, and soon he was begging for more. Luckily the fighter was just as impatient tonight, and it wasn't long before Louis slid inside with a grunt, making Tanner's head fall back against the pillow at the sensation. "Fuck, Lou." His toy was nothing compared to the real thing, to the warmth of the other man's skin against his and his weight pressing down on his body. His arms hooked around Louis' neck, one hand sliding into his hair and urging his face closer so Tanner could kiss him again. "Go slow," he urged, speaking between kisses. When they eventually separated his light eyes found Louis', and he had to push down the swell of emotions that rose suddenly in his chest. Not now.

After Tanner stood he took a moment to appreciate the sight of Louis in the pillow fort, Birdie still asleep on his lap. It almost felt like a dream, something nice that his brain would come up with, instead of something that was really happening. Before he could think better of it he pulled his phone out and snapped a quick picture, grinning as he tucked it away just as fast. "That was just for me. Proof that this wasn't just a carb-fueled hallucination brought on by the pizza and popcorn," he joked, raking fingers through his blond hair. "Also maybe some blackmail in case I need it.." He nodded at Louis' request, taking one last look before he turned to go. "Night, Louis." With that Tanner was gone, making sure the door locked behind him as he left.
