but he was in NO MOOD to hear what his friend might say . he had not seen james in a while now -- nearly a few months as things became tense between them all && more && more of the order began to disappear . but remus was painfully aware that since they had last seen each other , his health had deteriorated considerably . stepping into headquarters , remus had cast off his cloak && saw the look james gave him . he was a lot THINNER now that he wasn't getting three meals a day && then there was his leg .

he was LIMPING when he entered .

he had hurt himself badly during the last full moon . but having james CONFRONT him on it was terrifying because remus didn't want to think too much about it . instead , he pulled a seat out && sat on it , wincing slightly as he went down && avoiding james' gaze . ❝ it's nothing , ❞ he said quietly . ❝ don't worry about it . ❝ as far as i know , almost every major city has it's own wizarding community , ❞ remus said after a moment , beginning to move down the alley admiring all the sights && sounds that were available to them . it was his father he had to thank for letting him EXPERIENCE these communities . lyall had been so terrified that remus would be ostracised at large by the community , that he wanted remus to experience as much of it as he possibly && physically could . to the point where remus had seen much of the UK's wizarding world before he was 9 years old .

it didn't stop him from being turned away at large by a world he coveted && loved . && that pain stung like a knife twisting in his very gullet .

a glance at lily && remus hid the pain that surged through him well . he was good at that . don't let them see . ❝ i'll tell him off too , ❞ he assured with ease , grinning slightly . ❝ make sure he takes you places && TREATS you right . nothing less than you deserve . ❞ he paused thinking for a moment . ❝ i always really liked south wales . especially during mari lwyd , that's always a fun time . if a little SPOOKY . ❞

Lily is quite content to amble along the crowded street beside Remus, matching whatever pace he is capable of at the moment. "I suppose that's partially why I've been ignorant of places like this," she muses between licks and bites at her ice cream cone. "Can't imagine Cokeworth hiding anything as exciting as this." It's said only somewhat in jest. Her hometown is nowhere she plans to return to at the moment, no matter how many thinly veiled hints about the impropriety of "shacking up with her boyfriend" her mother might drop on her.

Remus' declaration makes Lily throw back her head, bright laughter escaping her lips. "I should tell him that. Give him an ultimatum that he has to take me traveling or else..." She winks at her friend, knowing full well that she'd never be able to enforce such a threat - and that there would be no need because James would acquiesce to any request she makes of him. "Do you have a favorite, of all the places you listed? It feels like I've seen so little of the magical world that I hardly know where to start."

"Where are the bodies?" Sirius

❝ am i glad to see you , ❞ remus breathed , sitting up against the wall , panting heavily as blood POURED from his leg , where a deep cut lay . panting heavily && wand against his chest as he tried to protect himself from the onslaught of death eaters that had descended the area . nothing filled him with more comfort knowing that sirius had received his patronus && had been able to gather other order members to come to the rescue .

leaning back , remus let go of the TOURNIQUET he had been fumbling to make , letting sirius take over for him . he then staggered to his feet , sirius keeping him upright as they cast flashes of light in the opposite direction to ensure their safety was prioritised . remus cast sirius a glance at his question .

❝ over there , ❞ he said , his voice cracking as he came to the horrific realisation that he had not been quick enough to save them . had not been fast enough or SKILLED enough to ensure their safety . he didn't even know their names . a wave of guilt washed over remus && he knew for a second what sirius was thinking . he grasped at sirius' jacket , shaking his head . ❝ sirius we can't go to them , we can't recover their bodies , we need to go otherwise we'll be DEAD TOO . ❞ he looked over almost pleading with the other man .
