had this been the first time this had happened, maybe he’d be a bit more worried. key word is maybe. but even so, this area is a bit unfamiliar to him, and it was supposed to be a family outing. so how is it that he’s already lost his parent figure?

a tired sigh escapes from his lips. well. it’s time to begin the parent hunt. so, he taps gently on the stranger’s arm, hoping to gain attention but no at the expense of startling them. ‘ excuse me. you wouldn’t happened to see someone wandering around seemingly lost, have you? ’

running into children is not a pastime that he thought he would have outside of what he would consider a normal routine, because shopping for necessities was considered that. but it seems to have been happening a lot more often than expected. it’s also not that he doesn’t like children, it’s just unexpected, really.

so, now kneeling down to at least eye level with the kid, he gives a hesitant smile.

‘ um. are you lost? would you like to sit down for a little bit? ’
