Saw the sonic 3 trailer are you telling me the movie based on Sonic Adventure 2 is Not anti-military??? No anti-authority theming here?? Nothing?? The game where a kid gets gunned down? I am so fond of my headcanon that shadow has no idea how money works

Like he knows he exchanges money for goods, but he has no idea of the value anything holds

G.U.N issued him a bank account that they pay into, but he has absolutely no way of quantifying the amount in there. He was just told that he was not to give the numbers on the card to Rogue.

He once bought a $300 bag of coffee because he liked the packaging. He has a designer jacket that cost thousands and it was only when Amy pointed out that she knew the brand that he realised it must have been expensive. He’s bought VIP tickets for their concert trips more than once by mistake, then got frustrated when they tried to bring him backstage to meet the band (which he accidentally paid to do).

A few of his friends have described him as ‘surprisingly generous’ but truly he just has no idea what things cost

#Amy complains that she needs new bake ware and an entire le crueset set turns up at her door #he is confused and uncomfortable by how thankful she is #Tails explains needing a specific expensive part and Shadow returns with it #‘oh!! did you already have what I needed?’ ‘No? was the issue not transporting it???’#Rogue will absolutely invite him shopping and ‘forget’ her purse #he gets the feeling he’s being tricked somehow but doesn’t quite understand why he feels that way #GUN give him far more than enough to live on and he has no expenses so he’s loaded #he just has no idea #shadow the hedgehog #sonic the hedgehog

I can't get over how Shadow needed Rouge bribing him with a fucking spaceship to reluctantly attend Sonic's birthday party, but for Amy's birthday he not only went willingly but got all decked out in a costume, played along with the murder mystery game, went through lengths to get her tickets to her favourite band as a surprise present and agreed to go to the concert with her afterwards even tho he doesn't listen to their music to boot. Either Amy is a different kind of special or Sonic is just a different kind of "not worth it" lmao
