                     21. after losing part/all of their memory

❝ Fuck! –

                         – Uugh, God - God Damnit, my head is KILLING me! ❞ The concussion was bad enough, even after the stolen boost from the Master Emerald a fall like the one he had taken was too much for his physical body. Of course the only person who would drink with a minor cold AND a concussion would be Scourge, partially because he doubted anything could kill him at this point, and entirely because he had no idea the effects they would have on his brain and more specifically his MEMORY. Stumbling for a while he falls against the wall as a dull pain in his head makes itself known, the dizziness certainly didn’t help either, slowly his eyes open and he feels as if he’s going to vomit. Confusion washes over him and it shows on his complexion, ears are drooping and he looks a mess. As he fumbles for his shades, he barely manages to choke out his question.

❝-- Where... Where’s -- Why am I...? -- Mmmmgghhffuck! ❞

Slowly his hand moves to the bandage on the back of his head, and the hazy confusion morphs to fear. Carefully, his fingers prod and feel the edges of the bandages while his eyes close tightly and his jaw snaps shut, a sharp inhale through clenched teeth is heard as the dull ache becomes stronger and completely impossible to cope with for a few moments.

Scourge is really brutal, he wasn’t always like that but since he was a child a lot has happened to him and now he’s always looking to pick a fight. Except for when it comes to Sonic, he’s his “twin bro” and his “partner in crime”, and although he might sass him and get into little tiffs with him he is always really protective of Sonic. Anyone talking shit about him is going to be found beaten to a bloody pulp in a ditch, and God help the people who try to hurt him, those people are as good as DEAD if someone doesn’t stop him that is.

For a long time Scourge was un-trusting of Sonic and his parents, but Sonic was the very first person he trusted. It terrified the fuck out of him though, he was sure he was going to regret it and he stayed guarded and waited for it to happen. He kept waiting and waiting, but it never happened and even though he’s still guarded and cocky and picks fights he’s not defending himself against Sonic anymore and he’s one of the few people he’ll break in front of which is a big deal for him. If Scourge is gonna have a mental break down and he needs comfort, he’ll just shuffle over to Sonic with his shades down and hands stuffed in his pockets, and then nudge him and hide his face in Sonic’s shoulder.

Even though he loves his twin, that doesn’t mean he’s above pranking him and trying to plot double trouble hi-jinks with him. Before he gets his power up and color change from the Master Emerald he of course looked just like his Prime Zone counterpart (duh) so of course he uses that to his advantage. He practices talking like Sonic and will impersonate him to get him into trouble, or use it in some scheme where he and Sonic are working together. Occasionally, I can see him posing as Sonic for a day if he’s sick or feeling down and he needs a day out of school. Though, school isn’t really his strong point because of how distracted he’d been with the previous bad home life, his neglectful father, and the eventual adoption, he’s rather good with chemistry, gym, manipulation / smooth talking.

Honestly, even though they’re literally the opposites of one another I really like to see how well they work together as a result. One’s strength is another one’s weakness and vice versa, of course I would think they have a few similarities (such as they’re both afraid of water) but that aside these two working together and living in the same house always entertains me.
