There was so much to look at and learn about here in Sumeru, and while that fueled Kira’s desire to learn, going to the main cities--where much of this knowledge could be found--was rather...taxing for her. She didn’t like the Akasha terminals, nor the looks she got when she wasn’t wearing one. She didn’t like how the scholars looked at everyone else as if they were nobles or aristocrats looking at the general public like dirt. So, she stayed in the forest for the most part. 

“What...??” She froze and looked before her at the patch of greenery a little ways away. The area looked cloudy with fog, despite the fact that there was no fog where Kira stood, and the plants...they looked like they were decaying... What was happening.?? She hasn’t been in Sumeru for very long at all and had yet to come across something like this. Her vision glowed upon her chest, as if warning her against proceeding. What was happening to the forest..??

Kira sat under the shade of a tree, writing diligently in a journal in her hands. She appeared to be glancing up every now and then, either evaluating her surroundings or deep in thought about something before quickly going back to the book and writing whatever it was back down.

Genshin!Kira open~

This feeling… It drew her in just as much as it concerned her. Kira had been to Liyue many times but had never gone anywhere near The Chasm. She had no reason to, after all. But standing here, enveloped by the darkness…and yet with the ever so distant feeling of desire to go deeper. Was this merely her adventurous spirit wishing to explore this new area? Or…was it something more..?

“Are you sure we’re allowed down here..?” Something felt wrong about this. There were multiple Hilichurl camps down here, but they were all abandoned. Part of her wished to leave, but she found herself still intrigued. What a strange sensation…

Sexual Tension—No Longer Accepting

What was his plan? Kaeya always had a plan present, though his thought process was seldom ever shared to those around him. He kept his cards close to his chest without even the smallest hint of what he had planned, and despite how close Kira was to him, she still couldn’t quite read the man. People were often predictable to her, but not Kaeya. The only thing she could do now was follow him as he tugged her away from the party guests.

There was some sort of get-together at the Dawn Winery, Kira being here due to her adoptive father. Even after all of these years, she still felt like she didn’t quite belong in upper class situations...but she didn’t complain. This was for her father, after all. But this whole time, she was concerned for Kaeya. She knew he would be here, and she was vaguely aware of the tense relationship he had with his adoptive brother. Coming here couldn’t be easy for him, right.? So, she sought him out to make sure he was alright, and almost immediately after finding him did he pull her away from the crowd.

“Where are you taking me.??” she inquired through hushed giggles as she quickly followed behind Kaeya. He led her to a private room away from the party--of course he would know where to go, he lived here for quite some time. Kira stepped inside and raised a brow at the bluenette. “Alright... What now~?” Despite her coyly amused smile, she could feel her cheeks warming. He wanted some alone time with her... Unless, he was actively trying to show her something, that could only mean one thing.

Enemies to Lovers—No Longer Accepting

His words caused the woman to freeze, purple hues staring wide at orbs of dull blue. Fall in love with her..?? Was he admitting that he was in love with her?? It was a foolish thing to be so surprised about. They have been through hell and back together, and she had hurt him in countless ways along the journey. Yet he stayed by her side through it all. He didn’t leave. Ajax wanted to be here with her despite all of her stupid mistakes. If that wasn’t love, what was.??

But they never actually talked about these things. They met again after Lia disappeared, and he continued to visit even after. More when he learned about Michail, even up until Lia nearly killed the man without her vision. They had been through more than she could say for anyone else she has ever met, but they never really talked about things like this. Lia could feel her cheeks heat up as she stared at the redhead.

“Are you…saying you’re in love with me..??” As soon as she said those words, she mentally grimaced. Of course he loved her… He wouldn’t still be around otherwise, and questioning him about this may make him think she didn’t see their relationship for what it was. And that wasn’t true. The tall woman glanced to the side, no longer making eye contact with him. “I don’t know why you would… I’ve only ever made your life harder…but I feel the same way.”

Purple hues looked back into his own orbs of blue. “…I’m in love with you.” But she knew what he did to make her fall for him. It was every little detail about the man that drew her closer, that filled her cold and dead heart with warmth.

“None of this scares me, actually... I’m not afraid of the paranormal. I’ve heard ghosts do exist, but I doubt they could cause too much harm. And any harm done could simply be cured by an exorcist. If any true dangers arise, I have my vision to keep me safe.”

Besides... She’s learned now that the only things one should be afraid of are the physical things that could hurt them. And with her vision...she won’t get hurt.

|| Let’s talk about Genshin Kira’s mom!! I haven’t completed Sumeru’s questline, but I’ve collected quite a bit of info. I may be wrong, but for now, here’s what I have~

Kira’s mom, Minerva, was a researcher at the Akademiya. She was incredibly promising, a genius in many’s eyes, and the sages wanted her to work for them and help with larger research projects. However, she wasn’t interested in what they wanted to study, so she decided to travel to Snezhnaya to continue her research there (which is where she met Kira’s father, who is USUALLY Pierro but that can be adjusted since Kira is NOT related to Kaeya). After she left for Snezhnaya, no one ever heard from her again. They don’t even know she’s dead. 

She was kind and witty, often wanting to help others with their studies but not tolerating any foolishness (the actual detrimental kind, since she didn’t see anything too wrong with a little imagination). She wasn’t as good of a student as Lisa was (given that they say Lisa was the best student in 200 years) but she came rather close. 

But it wasn’t just her talent and intellect that made her so well known within Sumeru City. It was the fact that she was kind and helped others, while many researchers in the city seemed to act on some higher level than the normal townspeople. 

Kira looks SO SIMILAR to Minerva that it wouldn’t be surprising if people who knew her would ask if Kira was related to her. Of course, they wouldn’t know Minerva had a daughter (but given that it’s been 20+ years, it wouldn’t be so surprising if people assumed Kira was her daughter). They have the same curly hair, Minerva’s actually a bit of a lighter blond than Kira’s. Minerva was on the smaller side (not as short as Kira, but still XDD) and with her same pale moon-kissed skin. They have the same large eyes with long lashes, though Minerva’s eyes were a forest green. 

Kira doesn’t know anything about her mother. I’m trying to figure out why she would have gone to Sumeru, but in maybe half of her Sumeru threads, it’s probably to find her mother. I’m thinking maybe part of Varka’s message to Lisa in the letter he wrote to the Knights included info on Kira’s mom and told Lisa to tell her about it...so she went to Sumeru. MAYBE. But she wouldn’t know anything except “she’s from Sumeru”. Kira would probably think that she’s still alive (and is in for a BUNCH of disappointment later on~)

Human beings are known for being flawed. There are good people in the Akademyia I’m sure, but there must also be bad people. This amount of power should never be placed in any human’s hands... Access to the knowledge and the thoughts of everyone who establishes a connection with the Akasha it too much power.”

“And...if someone were able to hack the Akademyia... The result would be catastrophic. At the worst, possibly even mind control....”

Our Flag Means Death—No Longer Accepting

He was asking the wrong person. Or, perhaps, the perfect person given her experience in the area. Did he not know that this was how the girl always felt..?? Jezilia was simply standing still, or “treading water” as he put it. This was her life. Jezilia never had a say and only did as asked of her regardless of if she wanted to not. She moved forward without much thought, just as her father wanted her to. She hated it…this mindless treading hurt more than she cared to admit.

Slowly did the teen nod with her gaze fixed on the ground. It hurt… She didn’t want to live this way, but what other choice did she have? When she spoke, it was in a voice softer than her usual cold tone. “I’m always treading water, Ajax… It’s the only way for me to stay afloat…” And one day she will die, and she won’t mean anything to anyone. She will just be a disappointment for perishing. The only reason she wished to survive was so she could see Ajax as often as possible.

He made her feel warm and giddy inside… Like breathing in life itself, something she had never experienced before. He made her feel… No one has ever done that before. Jezilia finally looked at the redheaded teen beside her, a hint of pink to her sheet white cheeks. “But… I feel like I’m swimming when I’m with you… Like I’m finally moving in a direction I want to go…”

Kissing Prompts—No Longer Accepting

It was just the two of them together, both staying in Albedo’s camp on Dragonspine as a blizzard kept either of them from leaving. Kira couldn’t tell what time it was, but she knew it must be very late into the night. Her brain was tired and not quite as sharp as usual, a bit more susceptible to actions of the heart rather the mind. So, she didn’t quite notice it when Albedo drew closer and closer. Or perhaps she just didn’t care…

There was something odd about that alchemist. So smart that it stunned the woman, and of course quite attractive physically as well. She was drawn to him, whether she admitted it aloud or not. The two talked through the night, mostly about discussing experiments and things of the past Kira had studied. Now that the night had grown so long, they seemed to be running out of things to talk about. They instead just remained close to each other… The atmosphere felt heavy, but Kira didn’t allow herself to think too much into it.

Until he spoke. His words were so direct, so forward with what he wanted, and it startled Kira. A warm blush formed at her cheeks. However, she didn’t get too caught up in her thoughts over what could have brought this on. She didn’t really think at all, for that matter. Surprise slowly faded from her face as she continued staring at him, her lips just slightly parted inquisitively. She finally spoke a few moments later. “…what’s stopping you?” She certainly wasn’t going to.
