She practically hopped on top of him in her excitement when he'd said yes but she let him go so he could change. He looked much less enthused but there was something in his eyes that softened when she was happy, and though she didn't really know what it was, she was more than pleased she'd gotten her way.

Waiting with barely controlled exhilleration she, put her coat back on, straightening out her scarf to wrap around her when they stepped outside into the cold.

"Wear something warm! It's cold today!" She called behind him. The last thing she needed was him shivering and complaining even more because he only had a single layer of his robes on. It was even supposed to snow later! Wouldn't that be magical? She smiled at the thought of it falling all around them as they picked the perfect tree.

Teeth squeezed her lower lip in anticipation as he spent a few moments to contemplate, hands roaming underneath her shirt again. She made no effort to deter them, instead enjoying the feeling of his caaloused fingers grazing her midrift. Honey eyes searched him, her breath soft and shallow as she agonized over his oncoming answer. When his eyes finally caught and held hers, gold reflecting gold, he conceeded.

Her smile widened into an excited display of emotion usually unseen by her as she giddily bounced up and down, laughter ringing in the otherwise empty apartment. It looks like she was going to have to have enough cheer for both of them, but this was a start! She didn't care how much he complained as long as he went.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!"

Vox rebelled against the others and began Operation Angelic Security as a means to fool Hell’s inhabitants into believing that he and the other Vees were the only ones who could truly keep them safe from the Exterminations. 

Together with the other two Vees, Vox began hiring lower-class sinners and hellborn to get his security established, raised enough money to buy out Carmilla’s weapon line, and blackmailed other overlords into giving up their souls for ‘the better.’

Warmth spread across her body as his large hands gripped her thighs, rubbing them and causing a little shiver from her.

"Is anything?" She asked, looking down at him briefly with a soft smirk before turning her attention back to her task. Her fingers rubbed deeper into his scalp, massaging along his hairline and temples. She hummed for a little as she did so before speaking again. "I'm happy to see you relax, sir."

She switched again from massaging to lighting raking her fingers through his thick fluffy strands. She felt so privilaged to be able to be at his side like this. When her gaze lifted again she caught him already looking at her with a small smile. Her cheeks warmed with a hint of gold in them. Why was he looking at her and for how long?

It wasn't often that Adam was silent, but one of those rare times was preening day. Lute meticulously ran her fingers through his large wings, plucking loose feathers and rolling new pin feathers that were ready to emerge between the tips of her fingers. It was a very long task with his wingspan but a relaxing one, and it was Lute's favorite activity aside from wiping out hordes of sinners.

There was one thing that she typically didn't do, however, and she tilted her head curiously when the thought came to mind. Why had she never groomed that before? Her fingers moved to the mess of fluffy hair on his head, running her fingers through it to check for tangles like she did for the pile of fluffy down surrounding her. It couldn't be much different than preening wings, right?

She was so focused on her job that she never even thought to ask him or say anything at all. He suddenly just felt her long, slim fingers trailing through his ashy brown strands in the name of bird-like bonding.

"Because it's wrapped. You have to wait until Christmas to open it." She batted his hand away, face scrunched into endeared annoyance. She was going to continue complaining about the lack of decorations and overall missing tidings but he suddenly said some very magical words and she stopped all movement to stare at him with a growing smile.

"I can do that. WE can do that! Can we get a tree?! Please, please, please, please." She was definitely going to annoy the absolute holy out of him until he was carrying a tree through that door, she was dead set. She wiggled around to remove his attempts at stripping her as she pleaded, with very uncommon and adorable puppy eyes.

Fumbling her keys just a little while she balanced her pile of gifts, she finally heard it slot into the keyhole and turned to unlock it, pushing the door open with her foot. She was greeted with his impatience at being ignored but stood up to help her even with his typical grinchy attitude.

"Yea, I couldn't really reach my phone and you know there aren't." She set the remaining packages and bags on the kitchen counter. "But.... there might be something you can take off me later."

She looked around once her hands were free, shoulders dropping with with a ghost of a pout and a sigh at the realization of...

"No tree? Really? Where am I supposed to put all these?"

"Come onnnn, you know they sell Adam ornaments, right? We can decorate it all about you." She pulled her shirt back up, buttoning it with a sly little smile with her attempt at persuasion. Did she want a tree with his face over it? No. But it was at his apartment and an Adam tree was better than no tree.

Pouting again, she moved his now empty hands around her waist so she could press herself up against him and wrap her arms around his shoulders, adding to the manipulation and offering him more to make it worth his while.

"If we have one to put the presents under, I'll let you open the special one tonight."
