idk if you've seen Her Inflorescence, a final boss in a ffxiv raid but that's kinda what i pictured for the sato-shiki eldritch abomination in twins cannons au and well.. I GET YOU GETO
!! Funnily enough I know exactly what you're talking about (I've actually been in that raid before and gotten yeeted multiple times by the buildings) and I mean. I guess?? Sorta? Wow actually I do think there are somewhat similar vibes going on now that you mention it...
The two heads + four arms thing for eldritch abomination Sato-Shiki was decided very early on since I thought it would be a fun parallel to Sukuna with his two faces + four arms. Two heads rather than two faces for Sato-Shiki because they are two different individuals sharing the same body, and not two facets of one individual!
Sato-Shiki being an eerie white color was decided partially for the unnerving factor, and partially because of Mahoraga's design -especially the summoning part in the anime, I thought that was very cool. So that was a factor in this decision! We don't know what color Tengen is, but I'm assuming that they are a light color, too? ... This one's a stretch, but I still think giving Sato-Shiki a statuesque vibe adds points to the whole preternatural feel of everything haha.

I brushed past this one before, because I think the answer is just “his parents” and that’s boring, but it actually gives me an excuse to talk about his name meaning and I want to do that, so:
Tumblr media
The people who made his character profile were kind enough to include the kanji spelling, so I don’t have to guess which variant they were going for (well, other than deciphering the stylized calligraphy). I originally thought the top two characters meant “Tomonori”, but after some time scouring name sites in vain, I remembered that in Japan, often they’ll say someone’s last name before the first, so I thought it was worth searching for the last two instead. And lo and behold:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So his name would translate to something like “intelligent rule” or “wise regulation” or something similar, according to these two baby name meaning sites I found. Now I don’t know what rule or principle was in mind when this name was chosen for him, and it’s possible this is a cynical interpretation, but it feels very much to me like his parents wanted to subtly warn or remind him, “keeping the Sword sealed is the wise, reasonable thing to do for the sake of the world, so do your duty no matter how hard it might be for you emotionally”.
That’s the vibe I get, anyway. Or maybe they were signaling to him, “Your guiding principle should be what’s smart and logical, not what you feel or what’s in your heart.”
Either way, I don’t think it’s a name he would choose for himself, basically. Especially because if he wanted to name himself this, he could easily have gone with different symbols to alter the meaning. There’s tons of less ominous variations out there.
Every poll on this blog is about fictional characters only. This request was sent to us and we made a poll in response to it. Send any Blorbo-related question you want to our inbox and we’ll make a poll on which people can vote with their own Blorbos in minds

😼💥💪 SHIKI GEKIDAN MUNGO AND TEAZER 💪💥😼
I found this channel that's got a bunch of adorable, old-ass videos that are just fun little slideshows of cats put to songs from the Japanese Cats soundtrack (any titles that start with 「ミュージカル キャッツ」 feature songs from Cats). This then inspired me to put what Japanese abilities I have to good use, so I translated Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer back into English 🙀🙀🙀🙀
(+ translation AND translation notes under the cut)
////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
マンゴジェリーとランペルティーザ 小泥棒 / Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer: Thieves
Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer
A notorious couple*
From comedians to tightrope-walking acrobats, and everything else
Now, we’ve made a fortune
And we live in a fine home*
This is merely our zone of operation*
We were born to be drifters*
We only passed by the scene*
Wherever we go, our names are always a bit too well-known
The window is narrowly opened
The basement was vandalized*
The roof’s red tiles are peeling away and falling off
If a drawer is opened and your shirts have disappeared
If you lose a glass ring again
The whole family will all say at once,
“Again, Mungojerrie
And Rumpleteazer
Just accept it, they’re the ones who did it”*
Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer
Extraordinarily smooth talkers
Stealing, sneaking, snatching
Our skills are top-notch
We have a very fine home,
But we don’t live there
We have the most fun when we’re chatting with the police
When the family assembles for dinner
And orders a luxurious meal of meat on the bone,
The cook will come out, crying sorrily, and say,
“Excuse me, you’ll have to try again tomorrow*
The meat has gone missing from the oven”
The whole family will all say at once,
“Again, Mungojerrie
And Rumpleteazer
Just accept it, they’re the ones who did it”
Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer
A wonderful team*
It could be a fluke, or just good luck,
Or could it be the weather?
We show up like the wind
And we’re gone like the wind
Hey, Mungojerrie and
Rumpleteazer
Or maybe it was some completely different cats!
If from the kitchen or dining room you hear a loud noise
If from the study your precious vase is heard being smashed
The whole family will all say at once,
“Again, Mungojerrie
And Rumpleteazer
Just accept it, they’re the ones who did it”
*While in English the lyrics are “[...] we’re a notorious couple of cats” (leaving the exact meaning of “couple” open to interpretation – “couple” as in quantity, or “couple” as in the dynamic?), the Japanese lyrics treat “couple” like a borrow word (「カップル」, which is just the English word for “couple” in katakana); this suggests that Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer are being referred to as a literal couple/duo. I only mention this because it implies a specific dynamic between the two, rather than the English lyrics which keep their relation vague – the Japanese lyrics don’t necessarily suggest that Mungo and Rumple are a romantic couple; simply that they work as a couple (the word could be used to mean a lot of different things – they could be twins, inseparable friends, simple partners in crime, or something else).
*Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer’s home is explicitly referred to as 「立派な一軒家」 (“rippana ikken’ya), with 「一軒家」(ikken’ya) meaning a detached house, or a house that stands on its own separate from others around it. This phrasing may have been used to help with worldbuilding, as Mungo and Teazer are established to come from a well-off family that would presumably live in quite a large home.
*”This is merely our centre of operation” is a fairly innocuous line in English; in Japanese, however, the line is 「そこは単なる作戦地」. 「作戦地」 (sakusenchi) is mostly used in a military context to describe where a fleet is operating, from planning to attacking – this phrasing is less open-ended than the English lyrics, and really helps to sell Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer as sweet little terrorists).
*「ながれもの」 (nagaremono) translates to “wanderer” or “drifter” and refers to a person who doesn’t tend to stay in one place for very long.
*Rumpleteazer sings first, but it made a bit more sense to place what she said after Mungojerrie’s bit upon translating the line. This whole line (「狙った所をちょいと/通り過ぎるだけなのに」) was a hard one to translate – 「狙った所」 (neratta tokoro) can be translated as “target (specifically, a place)” or “scene (of an incident)”. The line reads as if Rumpleteazer is saying “all we have to do is walk by, and we get recognized”.
*The phrase used here, 「荒らされて」 (arasarete), can literally mean either “to damage” or “to break into” — I went with “vandalized” as I felt it captured the essence of both of these definitions.
*「二人の仕業は泣き寝入り」 was difficult to translate – 「二人の仕業」 can mean “Our/their fault”/”our/their actions” (usually in a negative context); 「泣き寝入り」 is used to describe giving up and accepting a situation.
*This line, 「すみません明日にしてください」, is incredibly basic in Japanese. 「明日」 (ashita) means “tomorrow”, and 「して」 (shite) means “do (it)”; I tried to add some context to my translation instead of just making the line “Excuse me, do it again tomorrow” (I’m not normally one to try and add a ton of spice to a translation if I want it to be direct, but the line just felt so strange without it).
*The phrase used here, 「二人三脚」 (nininsankyaku), literally means “three-legged race”, but can also be used to describe two people who work together to achieve a common goal (ex. Teammates, collaborators, etc), just like racers in a three-legged race (they operate as one).

Rent A BF!
#2 | young toji fushiguro x reader | fluff, mentions of prostitution and related violence, period accurate and sometimes offensive terminology | 880 words
previous next series masterlist
Tumblr media
31st December, 1995 | 11.57 AM
20th May, 1996
In his months-long career as a rental boyfriend (and before that as a full-on prostitute), Toji has seen many different sorts of people who pay for company and, yes, sex. Most are older gay men who enjoy feeling young, many of whom are conservative family men who called it an ‘occasional treat’- getting fucked up the ass while being called sissies. And then they go right back to being firebrand homophobes. They amused Toji the most. Now Toji wasn’t gay, but when he took on those customers, he was homeless– so same results, really.
No, Toji didn’t like his job, but he took it like a champ. Blamed it on capitalism like the rest of us all.
After a couple of very satisfied male clients, he was deemed worthy to graduate to women. Unlike men, there were no ugly women clients. The only women who look for a male prostitute are rich ones, and rich women are never ugly. It’s a cardinal sin of wealth.
Toji would know. Though he could only lick the scraps, he once sat at the elite tables too.
All his clients, men or women, ugly or otherwise, were lonely. Toji couldn’t judge them for it, he was lonely too. Sitting in front of you at the café shop, he wondered about your degree of loneliness.
“Would you want another boba milkshake, Toji-kun?”
“No, miss. But the truffle cake looks heavenly.”
Usually Toji got the requests to play the Big Strong Boyfriend (bless his incredible heaven-gifted physique). The type to fight for your honour if someone even looked wrong at you. But you had simply asked for, in the words of the receptionist,  a normal chill guy.
He could do that, easy as pie. He could also get truffle cake while doing that. You look lonely enough to pay for whatever he asked.
“Miss, would you mind us getting the seasonal fruit platter too? It looks great, and frankly, I haven’t had much except for ramen these past few days.”
Toji liked to push boundaries, see how much you would spend before you told him off. Instead of his company-issued suit and tie, he’d just worn his loose white sweater (ketchup stain at the hem), jogging pants and sockless Crocs. Hey, if you asked for a scrappy dude, Toji would show you real scrappy.
“Sure, order it.” Yup, lonely as hell. I could squeeze easy money out of her. It’s hard to contain the delight in his face. He’d live like a king the next couple of months. “Eat well, Toji-kun. You know what to do when we get home, right?”
Eyes on the waiter bringing his truffle cake, he nods, his milkshake forming a cream mustache on him that you wiped off with a tissue. Compared to free boba and truffle cakes and fruit platters, the sex was definitely one of his lesser favoured parts of the job.
...
I take it back, he grumbles to himself as you started another episode of Dragon Ball Z, all his clothes still on him. You sternly instructed him to enjoy the show: breaking into shoulder-shaking laughs and nodding eagerly at your commentary as Vegata fights that dried Egyptian cat.  I’d rather get pegged with an axe than take anymore of this.
8k yen per hour. He chants in his head. His cheeks hurt from fake laughing. Osaka boating summer.
The dried cat wins.
Tumblr media
“Ey, O-Toji!”
Said Toji finds Shiki sitting on the broken wall of his apartment compound after he comes back from your house. Unlike your residential colony, Minami-Senju is the part of Tokyo that nice women with LV purses avoid. The Tokugawa shoguns used to execute their criminals here, the evil ghosts of whom the women say they’re avoiding the area for, and definitely not the melting-pot of urban poverty that resided here. At the time when Tokyo was trying to modernise itself, all the undesirables of the city poured into Minami-Senju: low-level Yakuza goons, Filipino street-hawkers, prostitutes, ex-prostitutes turned single mothers, Indian truck-drivers, transgenders, convicts hiding from the police, army veterans handicapped from the war 45 years ago, gambling addicts, runaway kids, and the worst of them all– Koreans.
Shiki managed to hit several of these categories. He was a runaway kid, transgender, prostitute, and a gambling addict. It was one of those chains of events that makes you understand the whole story at once. “Toji-sama! I’ve got ye the ticket ye wanted!”
He used to get beat up by his clients until Toji moved to the neighbourhood last January. That’s my boyfriend, Shiki would lie. Toji’s gonna kill you if you don’t pay up now. And Toji might not have shown it, but he was actually so happy to make his first friend.
“80085! Now thass the golden number!” Shiki waved the lottery ticket at Toji. “I’ll let ye have it if ye give me 5 cups of ramen.”
“Nah, I've won the lottery already.” Toji flashed Shiki a wide grin, walking up the steps to his apartment. Shiki jogs along. “This lady I’ve bagged is richie rich. And get this– I don’t even have to lick a single cunt. She makes me watch dogshit cartoons and pays me a million yen.” Shiki’s mouth hangs open. “5 cups of ramen? Nuh-uh, we’re getting grilled pork today. Dinner’s on me, Shiki, I’m motherfucking rich!”
You’re definitely the best sort of customer he’s ever had.

a/n: divider. i love strangergraphic's collections of dividers so much. the tone of the fic was heavily inspired by @jimlingss's Student Council Prez, fantastic series do check it out! on the same note, we need to document the impact bts had on fanfiction.
Shiki is supposed to be from the provinces and have a provincial accent, maybe something seaside? up to the reader really.

ℑ 𝔴𝔦𝔩𝔩 𝔡𝔦𝔢 𝔶𝔬𝔲𝔯 𝔡𝔞𝔲𝔤𝔥𝔱𝔢𝔯...
Full Name: Yua Misaki
Aliases: The headmage's daughter, Songbird, Enola's doll, Ire Carriedo, The Narrator, The First Yuu, and The Lapsus Eve
Gender: Female
Pronouns: She/Her
Age: Has been trapped in the world of Twisted Wonderland for about 3 years
Sexuality: Bisexual
Birthday: October 24th
Star Sign: Scorpio
Height: 166 cm (roughly 5'5) without heels
Eye Color: Hazel (pre- Enola's control), Lilac ("corrupted")
Hair Color: Ash Blonde
Dominant Hand: Right
Voice Claim: Kaori Nazuka (Japanese) Erica Mendez (English)
Inspiration: Shiki (TWEWY) and Eve/Lilith (Christianity)
Homeland: Shinjuku
Dorm: Unassigned (was the former Ramshackle prefect in her story line)
Year: Unknown ( "Ire" is a 4th year)
Club: Unassigned
Best Subject: Curses
Worst Subject: History
Favorite Food: Forgotten
Likes: Forgotten
Dislikes: Dire Crowley.
Biggest Fear: Losing her few remaining memories of her real life (before/outside of Twisted Wonderland)
Personality: What once was the soft-spoken and sweet adopted daughter of Dire Crowley is now the cold and apathetic blotted Narrator. Her old memories of who she was before the world of Twisted Wonderland have begun to fade as she remains longer in the world. Unable to return home, she turned to listening to the lies of Deus and Enola, who promised they'd help her get home and have since manipulated her. She will burn the story of Twisted Wonderland down to feel a moment of warmth. The sole string memories she has of her old life are of Yuuto and so she forced him into the world of TWST and will make more people overblot to make him stay longer.
Unique Magic: N/A (before Enola), Rewrite: allows her to "edit" the story of Twisted Wonderland, such as re-writing/editing characters, story lines, changing character memories, etc
Trivia:
Has two biological brothers back home (Kiryu and Mikagi) and one adopted brother (Ezra Crowley), lost her parents at a young age and so was raised by Kiryu and Mikagi
When she entered the world of TWST, all memories of her in the RG (old world) faded away
The plushie Yuuto wears was made and given to him by her (as they were dating before she was dragged into TWST)
She has lived the story of TWST before and was close to/friends with many of the boys (dated Ace), however since rewriting the story for current Yuus she has erased herself from the story. Only Crowley, Ezra and Deus are the "characters" that can say her real name and remember her
Uses the body of Ire Carriedo (big sister of Lyss and Des) to wander around NRC undetected
Her bringing Yuuto into TWST opened portals up for many Yuus to fall into the world of TWST
Once adored Crowley (saw him as her father) but thought he betrayed her by never letting her go home. Crowley didn't want to lose his daughter but Yua thought parents should be selfless and want to help their children and since Crowley put his wants before hers, she thought he didn't care about her. In reality, he cared too much and couldn't bear to lose her.
Stole the storybook of Twisted Wonderland from Crowley (after hearing the whispers of Deus in the shadows). Once she opened the book, Deus and Enola were released. Yua now has the ability to rewrite the story and characters as she'd like.
The old Yua is there but she's fading fast... Sometimes Enola lessens her control over Yua to make Crowley suffer (to torment him)
She is the reason Ezra returns to NRC (after hearing about Riddle's overblot, he raced back to NRC thinking it involved Yua and eventually stayed after seeing new Yuus (doesn't want a repeat of Yua [helps Yuus so they don't feel betrayed by Crowley like Yua did. Ezra does not like his father for that reason)
Design Fun Facts:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You'll see her broach in Yuuto's chibi piece (and hers matches with Ezra's)
The flower buttons she wears are forget-me-nots
The bitten apple necklace reflects how she listened to Deus ("the serpent"), going against Dire's "rules" and falling into blot (Eve biting the apple and the fall of man)
The under cage of her skirt in her Narrator look is a reference to a gilded cage as while the world of Twisted Wonderland seemed like a fun adventure for her free from the worries of her real life, it instead gave her more worries (ex: Overblots)
Her left eye is a broken mirror, reflective of overblot monsters having broken heads that seep blot

Missed Details from Sukuna's Introduction
Did you guys know that there are details we've missed from Sukuna's introduction by Satoru Gojo in chapter 3?
Tumblr media
JJK Chapter 3
In this post, I'll go over the few details we've missed because of translation issues or difficulties.
WARNING: Very minor mentions of details beyond season 2 of JJK anime. Please DO NOT INTERACT if you don't want even a tiny bit of spoiler. Also, a bit of a long post ahead.
Tumblr media
Missed Detail #1:
Let's start with this panel first.
Tumblr media
"Ryomen Sukuna is an imaginary fierce god who has 2 faces and 4 arms."
In this panel, Sukuna was called a 鬼神 (kishin), which in general means a 'fierce god or spirit'. But there are also other meanings beyond this.
鬼神 also refers to gods or spirits/souls of heaven and earth. It is also a Buddhist term that refer to beings with supernatural abilities (e.g. shinigami, rakshasa). 鬼神 can also be pronounced as onigami, which means an invisible (nature) spirit, or a fierce and frightening god or spirit.
So this reflects the belief of people that Sukuna is a fiercely frightening divine being. They might've also believed that he was there even if they couldn't see him, just like how we treat our God(s) in real life (if you're a believer). They are definitely aware of his frightening powers.
It also has another implication behind it. The first kanji, 鬼, means oni. Oni has many translations including demon, evil spirits, trolls and ogres. In addition, during Heian era, the oni creatures were depicted as terrifying monsters that ate people, and there are even literature where oni's were depicted eating people in one mouthful.
Tumblr media
Blue Oni, c. 1764. Painting by Soga Shōhaku (1730–1781)
The word 鬼神 is ironic, as well, because of his outward appearance, he can be considered an oni and a divine one at that.
Tumblr media
Missed Detail #2:
Below is our last analysis for this post.
Tumblr media
"Crowned with the title (name) of Sukuna, we couldn't even eradicate his grave wax that traverse eras as cursed objects."
The title that people gave to this man is 'Sukuna' alone. I don't know why they included 'Ryomen' in the English translation.
Tumblr media
JJK Chapter 3 (ENG Translation)
I repeat. The only title they gave this man was 'Sukuna' (宿儺), which means the 'dwelling of exorcism.' 宿 (Suku) means lodging, inn, home, dwellings; while 儺 (Na) means exorcism or the ceremony of driving out evil spirits. What a great name for this guy!
Then what about Ryomen? Where did that come from?
I believe this is the name that they've been calling him for almost his entire life, even before he was called 'King of Curses'. That's right. This is definitely the name - means 'two-faced', btw - that they call him as a kid and became stuck with him until now. Imagine being called 'two-faced' as you grow up. That's most likely Sukuna's life until he was given the title of 'Sukuna'.
His name is ironic in a sense since these people equated him to the (real-life) Ryomen Sukuna who was written in the Nihon Shiki as a vicious force of nature after the imperial family of Japan declared him as such.
Tumblr media
So yeah there you have it. Thank you, Gojo, for the wonderful introduction of Sukuna.
I hope this post made your day. Until then.

Random Shiki Headcanons
When they’re out in public, sometimes people will ask to take photos with them because they think they’re cosplaying. This especially happens to Manji, Takumo, Kojiro, Fourth and Kujaku
Out of the five aforementioned, four of them are the only ones who would agree. Everybody else would range from nah to fuck off.
Fourth is in the nah category and Six is in the fuck off category but they can be persuaded to join in by the others who would do it.
Everyone thinks Ikkaku and Korjiro are secretly a thing and no one believes them when they deny it.
Takumo owns several pet tarantulas and they probably have sweet names like Mochi, Doriyaki and Dango.
Manji desperately wants a pet but is worried to bring one home because of Six’s virus. Unfortunately Isou has refused to make a version of Six’s medicine specifically for animals.
If it weren’t for Six’s virus already stopping them, Isou would actually make it a rule that none of them are allowed pets. With well over a dozen people living in the same house, he’d be terrified the entire house would become overrun with animals before he knew it. He’d be especially scared to find out what Manji would bring home.
But what he doesn’t know is that Six is trying to make a version of his medicine that can be given to animals and is getting closer and closer to succeeding. He wants a pet snake.
Kujaku has everyone’s birthdays memorised, always plans something for each one and makes the rest of the group participate. Minus the birthday boy/gal. They’re kept in the dark about any planning because she always wants it to be a surprise.
Kojiro is more or less the same. The only ones he wouldn’t bother doing this for is Mei because he’s an asshole and Elf because he avoids him like the plague and only interacts with him if he has to.
Kojiro has multiple options for prostesics. His favourite is of course his tail but the does also have a pair of prosthetic legs to make it easier for him to get around on land.
Takumo, Six and Manji all have a steadily growing pile of plushies in their rooms and it’s thanks to Kojiro. Takumo has spider ones, Six has snake ones and Manji has all sorts of animals.
Jin will also get a pile of plushies the moment Kojiro finds out she likes cats.
Six will say it’s lame every time he receives one and hisses “shut up” at whoever points out he still keeps them.
In return, they’ve all given Kojiro shark plushies.
Ikkaku has also given him various shark memorabilia that he’s come across and made him think of him. He thinks by leaving them on Kojiro’s doorstep, he won’t know they’re from him but he knows.
He would have figured out they were from Ikkaku on his own but he knows for sure because Elf told him.
Elf is the worst snitch. He knows almost everything about everyone he infects. Including their secrets and loves to spill them. Especially to the people they want to keep their secrets from. He thinks it’s funny.
Mei, Isou, Six, Elf and possibly Mashiro as well all have an I’m surrounded by idiots moment at least once a day.
Six would never say it out loud but he does genuinely see most of his colleagues as his friends.
He sees Isou as a dad figure but not even the most extreme tortures would get that out of him.
Before joining Shiki, Six used to smoke (no point in trying to keep yourself healthy when you’re basically death itself) but Isou put a stop to that immediately.
Six sometimes steals the others alcohol. He’s never actually been drunk though. Or at least not that drunk. He just likes the taste of it.
He would drink with Ikkaku and Kojiro and often does but they won’t let him drink more than a single glass because Isou would murder them they think he’s too young to drink any more than that.
When Mei first joined the group, he couldn’t be bothered to learn everyone’s names. He made sure remember his employers names from the get go but as for mere colleagues, Six was Emo Kid, Kojiro was Shark Dumbass, Takumo was Spider Freak, Ikkaku was Muscle for Brains, Kujaku was Witch Lady and Forth was Old Man, Manji was Horned Idiot and Natsumi was just plain Narcissist.
Some of them have stuck. Six, Isou and Elf now also refer to Kojiro as Shark Dumbass and some of them still jokingly call forth Old Man but Mei called Kujaku Witch Lady to her face one time and ended up getting his ass beat in three seconds by ways Mei still can not comprehend. He did not know that being called a witch was a sore subject for her but he along with everyone else learned that very quickly.
Elf’s favourite nickname for Isou is Dad, in reference to the irony that despite hating kids, he’s taking care of three of them. Manji, Six and Tsu-in
Isou hates this nickname more than any of the others Elf has given him, which is why it’s Elf’s favourite.
Ikkaku and Kojiro have been joined at the hip since the moment they met but Kojiro started spending even more time with him Ikkaku told him he doesn’t trust anyone. He doesn’t know everything that’s happened to Ikkaku but he knows what it’s like to be harmed so much you feel like you can never trust another person again. By genuinely trying to be Ikkaku’s friend, he’s hoping he can help him heal.

✣ probably one of your worse ideas, if we’re being real. he has to be in a specific mood in order to go along with your whims. half the time he ends up shoving you off of him whilst looking like an irritated cat. when he does fight back, he’s careful not to actually hurt you even though you can’t tell with his gritted teeth and narrow brows. there’s a good chance you can take him out and he’ll just huff and ask if you’re done being stupid ; but be warned that while he’s not very muscular, he does sometimes get a rush of adrenaline in a fight that gives him a quick edge over his opponent and the same applies here - before you know it, you’re underneath while he looks down at you, unimpressed. “annoying,” he’ll mutter, and before you can protest he’ll give you a chaste kiss on the lips before leaving and acting like the situation never happened at all.
iori:
who wins? you.
✣ realistically, iori could knock you out in one quick strike - however, he loves you a lot and loves being the source of your happiness just as much which means he will always let you win. always. you could give the most half hearted attack towards him and he’ll be falling dramatically, going on about how his beloved has betrayed him and left him to die. his shit eating grin as he does so takes any chance of believing him and squashes it. the only retaliation he offers is gently tugging you down with him as he lays on the floor and letting your body rest atop his. he’ll give you that stupid lovesick look he always has when you’re in the room and lean up to kiss your forehead, mumbling a sweet nothing about how proud he is of you for being so brave and strong.
nayuta:
who wins? nobody.
✣ nayuta specializes in stealthily dealing with people rather than physically, as shown by when he pickpockets those thugs for shiki. and even then, he doesn’t really feel like exerting the energy needed to pin you down most of the time. so what's his solution? act like a big baby. the second you launch at him or anything of the sort, he’ll whip out the pout and puppy-dog eye combo with the full knowledge it tugs at your heartstrings. he’s so unbearably cute that you just give up and smother him in hugs and kisses instead, something he’d much rather participate in.
satsuki:
who wins? you.
satsuki is actively terrified a simple hug from him will hurt you, you think he’d ever fight back? he’ll be surprised for a moment when you jump onto his back and almost go to retaliate before realizing it’s you and instead stiffening from such blatant contact. there’s a moment where he’s scared you’re mad at him and that’s why you attacked him, but once you explain you’re just playing around he’ll stand there and take whatever you give him. he’s a relatively built guy so the chance you do any actual harm is minimal, and he'll just be elated you're acting so adorably around him. the raging blush on his face has a higher chance of KOing him than you do.
zen: who wins? him, but he tried to let you win.
this man is built like a brick wall. there is 0% chance you’d be able to knock him down or do him much damage at all if you’re just playing with him. he’ll look at you with a little bit of confusion while you struggle to try and get him to budge. it turns into a smile when you drum your fists against his chest while complaining about how he’s too damn muscular. “alright then,” he’ll laugh and relax his body to give you a better chance, “do your worst, love.” it ends with him apologizing profusely for the way you landed on your ass when trying to push him over.
yuto:
who wins? hancho.
yuto on his own is a bit of an easy target. sure, he’s a prison guard but you’re not a prisoner and he wouldn’t want to harm you. besides, he kinda leaves “cop mode” behind once he’s home with you so it would be a huge shock to him when you sneak up and tackle him down on the couch. he’ll stammer and blush while you straddle his hips with his wrists pinned above his head, and your victory looks to be assured when a familiar red glint appears in his eyes. “where’s all that bark from before?” hancho will growl in your ear with a smirk on his face as you wriggle helplessly beneath him.

“Who’s Shiki?”
Gojo Satoru stares, confused as Suguru-who’s-not-Suguru makes a hitched, strangled sort of sound in his throat. He tilts his head –he’s never heard of a ‘Shiki’ before, but going by the other man’s reaction, Shiki was someone important.
Why?
Probably something to do with the differences between our worlds. That much is not particularly difficult to deduce, really. But the reaction of this Geto Suguru from another world to Satoru’s complete lack of recognition to ‘Shiki’ felt strange, somehow, like it was significant in a way he couldn’t quite name–
“… What are you talking about?” The other sorcerer’s voice sounds shaken. “You… you don’t know Shiki? She’s your sister!”
His what.
Satoru’s jaw drops open. “I have a what now?”
A sister? Him? Gojo Satoru is pretty sure that he’s an only child; a sibling sounds like something he would know about!
He’s fantasized about having younger siblings during his childhood, sure. The Gojo Clan was a cold, cold place, and people only ever saw the Honored One and not Satoru. Even his own parents. Gojo Muneyoshi only ever occupied himself with how Satoru’s lessons and training were coming along, and Gojo Sachie only cared for the status that Satoru brought to the family and nothing else. The other children in the clan either avoided him out of awe and fear, or tried to suck up to him. Satoru didn’t make any friends until entering Jujutsu High, and… the less said about that, the better.
(Why was I not enough to make you stay, Suguru?)
If Satoru had a younger sibling –knowing his parents, he doubts that they would pay any attention to them. There was only ever one user of both Limitless and Six Eyes at a time, so they wouldn’t have the same pressure that Satoru carried on his shoulders pressing upon them. The elders wouldn’t watch them as closely as they did Satoru.
If Satoru had a younger sibling, then they would be his. As a child, Satoru had so very badly wanted a friend and confidant and someone who would always, always be with them. It didn’t matter if they were a sorcerer or not. He’d just wanted–
But Gojo Satoru was the only son of Gojo Muneyoshi and Gojo Sachie.
“Gojo Sachie?” Suguru makes a funny sort of twitch. Satoru instantly hones in on that odd reaction. “… So your father remarried?”
Satoru frowns, “Not that I’m aware of, no? I was born to Gojo Muneyoshi and Gojo Sachie. I’m guessing that’s not the case in your world?”
That would explain the existence of a younger sister, at least–
“It’s not,” Suguru confirms. “In my world, you and Shiki were born to Gojo Muneyoshi and Gojo Hina.”
Gojo Hina?
Satoru stills. That name…
There is a shrine that Muneyoshi keeps inside his home. A shrine to Gojo Hina, and Satoru remembers overhearing an argument between his parents once about it –something about Muneyoshi not being able to ‘let go’ of his ‘first love,’ and Satoru had lost all interest in the conversation by that point.
It might be nothing. But…
“As far as I’m aware,” Suguru continues, “Gojo Hina died shortly after you and Shiki were born.”
Okay, that somewhat matches up, then–
–hang on. Satoru does not have a good feeling about where this is headed. “After Shiki and I were born?”
“Well, yes. The two of you are twins.”
Twins.
Twin children. In sorcery clans, twins were a curse. Even though it shouldn’t matter in the case of fraternal twins, but if one child was born the Honored One and the other child wasn’t, if the Gojo Clan refused to take any chances–
Then–
An icy chill runs down Satoru’s spine. It’s been a long time since he’s last felt this way.
Did I have a twin sister?
… The air is cold. It has nothing to do with the weather, or Satoru’s current lack of a jacket in the winter weather.

Once Piece Chapter 1138 - Initial Thoughts
Tumblr media
And we return once more
Answers have come with more questions, as they tend to do in One Piece fashion, but with Shamrock and Gunko setting sights on Elbaf, the stage is slowly beginning to set itself
Spoilers for the Chapter, Support the Official Release too
OH MY GOD QUELLE SUPRISE this mysterious base with cat aesthetic and cat guards is the home of cat enthusiast Who's Who, WHO WOULD'VE GUESSED!?
I mean he wasn't gonna go back to the WG anytime soon
Still got his cat harem, but the oiran seem to be held against their will as he enjoys sake with his large sword with a tiny blade (not a euphemism...maybe)
We continue with Loki, who notes Shamrock's similarity to Shanks
Gunko notes it has nothing to do with him, which Loki agrees but can't help but be curious, since one's a pirate and another's a Celestial Dragon
Confirmation that Shanks is the younger twin of Shamrock, who says his twin 'went astray'
Oh? Shanks went back to Marejois? Wonder why that gives him a little more leeway with the Navy
He grew attached to the world though - which Shamrock calls 'filthy' - which is why he left again
Hearing that Shanks went back only makes Loki dislike him more, but also notes that now he has beef with an entire family it seems
He continues to pledge violence once he's free, hoping to avenge his animal friends
Shamrock asks if it's a threat, Gunko tries to calm him but he agrees it's not worth dirtying himself over
His sword however...seems like it ate a Cerberus fruit
Pretty badass power for such a dick...
Also reminds me of Thriller Bark with their cerberus
Blades come out of each hounds' mouth
It might be my Zoro fan coming out but I see a swordsman with a power that makes three swords...
The heads can also detach from the body and float around, Shamrock calls it his 'biting blade'
Gunko makes an arrow plane as Shamrock sics the hounds on Loki, offering for him to challenge him anytime so long as he survives
All three stab him in the gut, Loki did seem worried about the damage it'd cause
I doubt he's dead but still, sets the tone
Unable to get Loki on-side for 'subjugation', Shamrock plans to go low: kidnap the children
A third God's Knight is going to be called in to assist
Back at Ouest Castle, Luffy refutes the guards' suggestion that Shanks attacked them
Tbf the giant guards must not be so perceptive, they claim it's Shanks because he's visited Elbaf a lot but Shamrock lacks the eye scar and missing arm...
Detective Zoro at it again, noting that if he's visited recently he'd have no need to sneak back in to skulk around
Luffy continues to defend Shanks, which Nami notes regarding his loyalty
Luffy does make a point that Nami would be equally refuting if accusations were thrown at Bell-Mere, though he called her Tell-Mere and got corrected, with the added honorific XD
The giants entertain that it may be a lookalike, or a brother
Luffy wonders if he has a brother, expecting him to be a cool guy (spoiler Luffy: he's not)
But he also mulls over the fact that Shanks never really talked about his bio family
The guy from that cover story we think might be Shiki got a sneaky panel? Wonder what that's about...
Luffy notes that as far as he knew, Shanks was raised on a pirate ship, so he assumes that Roger and Rayleigh were his family
'Their whole crew...except Buggy' - damn Buggy catching strays, that's Yonko on Yonko violence
Over to Franky and Ripley who are at Treasure Tree Adam - lucky guy
Franky marvels how there's so much of the tree, expecting it to be rarer given its black market value
Ripley didn't know that it was rare and jokes about selling it on the side
Seems Saul is more protective of the tree, demanding that Franky didn't cut into it because it's a sacred tree - Ripley was sent to keep an eye on him
Ripley enjoys Franky's Saul impression, also she is still beautiful
Franky concedes that the value is probably because it'd be difficult to steal from Giants, but he then spots something, a mural
Ripley calls it graffiti, thinking it was likely down to kids a long time ago, which made it a heritage site - because it was done sometime around the Void Century
Aw Franky immediately thinks of Robin when he hears it's from the Void Century
He notices though that the drawings aren't all of giants, which Ripley confirms since it's full of multiple races
She thinks the mural was some kid's dream because of the cooperation
Class starts in the Walrus School, very unaware that soon to be 3 God's Knights are likely to be targeting them
Over to the Owl Library, Saul shows Robin and Chopper the Harley text
Chopper marvels at the size, but catches a big ball of giant dust
The Harley's cover also has the circle symbol we've seen a lot in One Piece, the circle with eight mini circles around it
The tome also holds other myths too apparently
As we were told before, the Harley's different interpretations have led to different interpretations of the Sun God
Robin asks to read it and Saul happily obliges
Turns out the Harley is split into 3 different texts; 3 states of the world - which explains why Giants believe the world has been destroyed twice before
The only common thing agreed upon is that Nika appears laughing to the rhythm we've heard before, with Saul also doing the dance
Robin decides to read aloud, which plays over Franky's marvelling of the mural
The First World allegedly burned in endless flame, the Sun God rose from the prayers of the enslaved
The enslaved must've done something though, since they are said to have 'reached the forbidden star', which angered the god of the land
With a Serpent of Fire, the God of the Land cast the world into ruin, darkness and death reigned
'They would not meet again'
The Second World was a breath that stirred in the abyss
The God of the Forest nurtured devils
The Sun lit the embers of war, those of half-crescent and full moons dreamed
But the ones who slew the sun deified themselves, angering the Sea God
Once more 'they would not meet again'
And finally the Third World: Chaos reigns, the world drifts into void
Time does not erase the memory of the promised day
The voice of the half moon echoes through the ages, and once more the Sun God will rise
In the final act, the sun is reborn, a new dawn will break
'Surely, this time, they will meet'
The mural itself is marvellous, while it's possible to be all three worlds I think it mainly depicts the first and second
To the left you can see the enslaved carrying fires in a factory
These fires look like stars next to the moon though
A dragon fights a big serpent, and between them is a ship similar to the Ark Maxim
The ship seemed to crash, and bring winged people and animals
In the middle there's the tree, but there's another fire or star to the side of it
Then on the left is a battle, a demon holding the sun battling armies led by Nika
Emeth, a whale, a giant, a mermaid, a fish, a samurai's boat, another boat adorned with the symbol, possibly a Lunarian and a Mink, a tontatta and two other species are also in battle
And in the middle is Franky soaking it all in
There are spreads like these where you just have to sit back and be in awe of it for a while, because this feels big.
I believe the mural depicts the first and second world since it was made during the Void Century, and thus the world had yet to fall into void. The image of Emeth implies that the second world is Joy Boy's time - 'those who slew the sun deified themselves' is likely a nod to the Celestial Dragons. It's just so much to dissect, but from what I'm seeing it sounds like Devil Fruit powers were perhaps initially due to the 'forbidden star', which probably led to Nika's creation, the resulting war brought Skypeians, Birkans and Shandorians to the planet from the moon - as depicted in Enel's cover story - but Nika lost, the world plunged into darkness.
The second world implies that the God of the Forest created Devil Fruits, and that they are rejected by the ocean because of the Twenty Kings putting themselves at the top. Perhaps Devil Fruits were a gift and they used it to overthrow the world, it also implies that DF users could potentially not be weakened by the ocean under some circumstances. The mention of the moons is interesting too, the full and crescent moon are common in One Piece, but since it's the sun who 'lit the embers of war' it's probably Joy Boy's revolution that did it. Interestingly, they don't say the Sun God in this World, just 'the Sun'; we know Joy Boy awakened his fruit because of Emeth but why isn't the Sun God listed here.
And finally we expect the Third World to be the current one; the Void happened but people don't forget, the sun god shall rise guiding the world to its final act. But there's some things that aren't too clear; who is the half moon that echoes through the ages? What is 'the sun' that'll be reborn after its demise in the Second World? And who will meet?
In terms of Norse myth I do feel like the first and second world have Muspelheim and Niflheim influences; endless fire and breath in the abyss (Niflheim meaning 'world of mist'). When the ice met the flames of both realms the ancestor of jotnar (giants) was born, Ymir.
But anyway, I'm interested in there being three shadow creatures too, I've seen some say that Imu is the one on the right, and they could very well be, but what if Imu's powers are a set of three? What if Blackbeard has another that needs to be awakened the same way? Three dark entities of the world's destruction...
We could go on all day about it, but there was a first half of the chapter to get to as well, so we'll leave it for now with me being glad that Robin, Chopper, and Franky had parts in the chapter for once, and Ripley ofc, though I do wonder if Lilith and Bonney were overhearing Robin's reading of the Harley. Now we need something from Usopp, Sanji, Jinbe and Brook.
Over with the Loki stuff, it is a surprise that Shanks went back to Marejois, maybe he did want to see what life was like there among his birth family? Regardless he still turned away from it. As I said before I'm sure Loki's alive, though he seems more and more like a potential ally as the chapters go on, where does that leave Hajrudin though? We're getting a lot of layers but no conflict right now.
But conflict will soon come, targeting kids is a scummy move but it may set the floor not only for Colon to encourage bravery from the others but for Elbaf to show its fighting spirit, I could definitely see Ripley going ham. When Gunko and Shamrock arrive though I do worry for Robin's group, including Saul, that feels like the next place shit will hit the fan.
We have more mysteries too with that cloaked guy appearing after Luffy mentioned Shanks' family, the shadow guy from earlier chapters has yet to show too, and a third God's Knight is coming, but the numbers are still quite uneven, things are gonna get a lot crazier before we see the full picture.

My WIP is currently called 'Shiki Matoba' or 'Came Back Wrong AU,' but I should really call it 'the situation specifically designed in a in a lab to give every single character an ongoing ethics crisis.'
Oh, Hiragi becoming Natori's shiki makes you uncomfortable, Natsume? You hate it when yokai eat each other? Even if it's natural?
Well tough: in this AU, Natori fucked up and turned Matoba into an ayakashi, and he's Natori's shiki now. And he has to eat either human blood or other ayakashi to live. His old clan is also constantly trying to kidnap him, but he swears he's not upset with them OR Natori.
Natori - you had qualms about working with the Matoba clan? Too bad: Matoba nearly died because of YOUR attempted murder, and you're the only one who can maintain your flubbed healing spell to keep him alive. As an ayakashi, now bound to a family no sane yokai will make a contract with.
Speaking of the Matoba family: how are things with the new shiki? The one with internalized ayakashi-ism and undying loyalty?
For bonus points: the eye stealing yokai will accept an eye from the Matoba clan head's personal shiki as payment. So Matoba can have some guilt over choosing the clan and his father's wishes over his father's health and life. As a treat.
And potentially every clan head after can have the temptation of a way to save their own skin at the cost of the clan's power.
Aaaand now Matoba's father's dead, and Matoba's refusing to become the new clan head's (not Shinoubu) shiki for *totally irrational ayakashi reasons* he swears. He just had an oopsie 'accidentally psychically manipulate your only healer/ confessed hopeless crush/ rival clans member into making a contract with you in a blind panic' moment for no reason.
The entire Matoba clan gets a moral quagmire there: the new clan head is a little sus, but ayakashi ARE irrational and their special little ayakashi was really upset about Shinobou being passed over for clan head. Is it really okay to leave him unsupervised with his only healer/ confessed hopeless crush/ rival clans member?
But also, they need Natori to keep him alive. So they can't take the nuclear option, or even cut him off and risk any of their enemies killing him either. Surely gently kidnapping Matoba and "helping him come to his senses" is the best option here- they can burn the clan head bridge if they need to after he's home. (Opinions on the necessity, practicality, and greater good of the last part vary. Civil war is a distinct possibility.)
Meanwhile: Matoba wrestles with the guilt of forcing Natori to give him his blood to eat when there's a secret third option he's just being an *irrational ayakashi* about.
Hiragi, Urihime, and Sasago have background ick about the inappropriate master/ shiki behavior (Urihime and Sasago more than Hiragi, though even she finds the literal just sleeping together weird.)
Takuma has STRONG FEELINGS about letting the little shit turned ayakashi who *psychically manipulated his mentee into a giant clusterfuck* into his house. But he also doesn't have any better ideas, and isn't about to cut off his formal apprentice (mandated after the healing spell fiasco.)
Yorishima has NO INTEREST and NO RESPONSIBILITY in helping resolve any of this mess, thank you very much. Even if he has some unique insight into complicated human-ayakashi healing.
I'm softballing Tanuma- he gets to have his cute lil teenage friend worries about being curious when Natsume's very firmly steering him away from ever knowing WTF's going on with Natori and his really friendly shiki.
Nishimura, like. Feels really conflicted about his *dead certainty* that his favorite idol and the idol's chronically ill friend are a couple. They say they're just friends- is it an invasion of their privacy to insist otherwise? Is he minimizing the depths of male friendship by insisting there must be more?
(The universe is testing Kitamoto's patience, not his morality, with Nishimura's fandom nonsense.)
I go by manga timeline, so Sasada is Sir Not Appearing In This Book, the canon divergence blissfully parting around her.
Taki's deal is still percolating- I have to do *something* with her two degrees of separation from the Matoba clan, but I don't know what.
I don't think Nyanko-sensei's getting any extra *ethical* issues- he doesn't care that much about ethics in the first place. Just external pressure to become Natsume's formal shiki since the exorcist community isn't as blasé about powerful, self-taught kids after The Fuck Up.
I'm fighting the "why do the Fujiwara's let their 15 yo relative stay overnight with a 23 yo idol?" angle kicking and screaming, but its gravitational pull is starting to look inescapable. Matoba became undead an ayakashi at 18, if he's strong enough to have a human form (which. ofc he is) there are going to be QUESTIONS about why he's living with an idol who looks five years older than him.
(Yes, Matoba has a driver's license stating he is 22- no it doesn't help with the scrutiny. There is just some inevitable speculation and conclusions about the chronically ill NEET who never uses his last name due to "family issues" who lives with the idol who got PTSD from saving his life.)
I actually do have an ending in mind, though I'm going to let canon developments lead the way.
OC Matoba clan head eventually dies "naturally," as Matoba clan heads do, and Shinoubu takes over.
This leads to a shakeup regarding prejudice against "weak" exorcists. (You don't need spiritual powers to politic, or very much to dodge a giant blob and open an umbrella. She IS a little evil (pending contradiction by further developments in canon), but hardly the worst.) Someone points out the "eye of the Matoba clan head's shiki" loophole due to this lack of trust, and the Matoba clan approves the "loan" of a shiki to the now closely-associated Natori clan.
Yorishima's expertise does bear fruit, so Matoba is expected to eventually fully recover. (But remain an ayakashi.) In Matoba's POV, this is the happy ending- he gets to live with Natori for the rest of Natori's life, and he has a formal way to escape future conflict with the grab-bag of Matoba clan heads.
But he's getting stronger- able to maintain his human form for longer, and make more changes to it.
So Shuuichi suggests leaving the industry- taking his still active identity, and living as a human. To not be anyone's shiki.
(Natori CANNOT have a romantic relationship with a subordinate. Nope, nope, nope. Absolutely not. Especially after their specific experiences. But just being an ayakashi isn't a deal breaker.
However, his world view values freedom and independence, so he'd suggest the idea anyways.)
(Matoba might not be able to return to the clan after a disavowal of that magnitude. The clan will definitely never trust him again.)
There'd be an epilogue from Natsume's POV revealing Matoba's decision, directly echoing whatever the canon ending of Natsume's Book of Friends does.

Tsukihime sketch 8: Awkward
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bottom image is the higher resolution image. Screen tones might make it look janky so that's why there's two. Anyway-
After the epic conclusion to the Vlov fight, shiki crashes out and Arc carries him home. Shiki understandably thinks that because Vlov is gone he can rest easy, but that's until he hears there's still killings going on
Shiki rushes to try and find Arc, but she decides to pay him an unannounced visit first. The maids and his sister are understandably confused, and hilarious awkwardness ensues

So we got horror villain shiki and void shiki, so how about what shiki and Void shiki would be like as just plain old yanderes.( never thought I'd say something like plain old yandere)
Warnings: Yandere, Stalking, Kidnapping, Violence Against Reader (Breaking Bones, Beating), Unhealthy Relationships, Murder, Torture to Reader and Others
Void Shiki:
Void Shiki is better at blending in than regular Shiki, surprisingly. She’s quiet and shy, sure but no one thinks of her quirks as more than that. Void is good at adapting to any situation and is a lot more involved in your social life. She’s not directly friends with you but a friend of a friend. You don’t think much of her, not in a good or bad way. You like chatting with her at parties but wouldn’t go out of your way to invite her out. Things continue normally for a while, life moving forward.
Void Shiki’s goal from the beginning is to make you hers by any means possible. Kidnapping, stalking, even murder wouldn’t deter her. People who get too close to you start to go missing or avoid you completely. She can’t play the long game and by the time she comes to get you, you’ll know something is seriously wrong.
She loves it when you struggle. Cry, beg, try to fight her off. If you fight so hard now, once you’re in love with her you’ll be even more dedicated. It takes a lot to push her over the edge but even then, she never gives up on you. You’re just stubborn and she can fix that. The people you love are used are bargaining chips and you do you’re best to save them. She tells you she’ll bring them home but they disappear; if you were ever to escape your world will forever be different.
Shiki Ryougi:
Shiki as a yandere is very ‘classic’; she’s big on stalking and watching you from afar. You’re the most important person in her life, even if you’ve only spoken to her a handful of times. Mostly it’s because you live in the same area; she goes to the same coffee shop or grocery store. You have no idea she goes out of her way to follow you and she never wants you to. It helps create the illusion you’re in love and are spending time together.
She’s happy to stalk and leave you notes, taking pictures every so often. As long as you don’t get a partner or try to move or anything major to disrupt her fantasy. Once you start to move onto the next phase of life that makes her panic and create a new plan. She never thought she’d get to the point where she kidnaps you but its exciting. Shiki loves you so much and having you all to herself is a dream come true.
The easiest way to upset her is to deny your affection for her or try to escape. Shiki doesn’t think to hurt you but she will take her anger out on you. Breaking bones and beating you until you stop trying to escape. She’ll deny you food and water until you beg her to hang out with you. You’re going to fall in love with her and if you’re not in love, keep it to yourself. Shiki only wants total devotion, that’s what she gives you.
