Hi hi! I remember reading your blog last year and I found you again!!
So, SHOWER THOUGHT!! I was wondering how would the yan deals with their fans sending hate comments/death threats to MC just because they are dating them?
- Like for Roman, his F1 fans, they don’t like MC being his WAGs (I learn that from my F1 ✨bestie✨, unless MC is gender neutral coz I actually don’t remember).
- For Jae, his delusional K-pop fans (just like the real life delulu fans), if the relationship is not revealed and the paparazzi somehow manage to take a pic of them dating at night outside and the fans go crazy abt it.
- Kaidan is his online fans, Joshua is his fellow church members???? I’m not sure for Lento (his past hook-up?) and Hayden coz they sweet as hell.
Tumblr media
YOUR SEVEN YANDERES.
A N: I will write it differently for the non-famous ones!
A B O U T: They see you're getting hated on.
W A R N I N G S: Death threats and online hate.
Tumblr media
— ROMAN BEAUREGARD.
Roman is livid. He sees it all just before a race, and the whole day he's steaming, but hey, he got pole!
He has never raced so viciously in his life, and damn, he was still steaming afterwards.
Just know that he kissed you extra hard in front of the cameras that day, as a massive, 'fuck you' to the idiots who are horrible.
He wouldn't directly make a post about it. He's media trained and knows how to look good to the masses, but he does show you off more as a silent way of telling the fans to get a life.
— LATEN REED.
Laten only sees it when it's affecting you, he doesnt realise that the women around you are mean due to you both dating. He's so happy with you that nothing else exists outside of your little bubble.
Maybe you suggest breaking up. You cry over the mean comments they make towards you. Maybe you flat out ignore him in public to save yourself the backlash.
Either way, he is devastated. He's so upset that 1. He didn't notice, and 2. You're upset over a bunch of idiots.
He would comfort you, pamper you, baby you. Make sure that you're happy with him because he genuinely would go crazy if he ever lost you.
Laten will catch them out and flash his pretty smile, "Leave them alone. It's none of your business." And they smile and giggle, and suddenly they all love you and have a fanclub for you... which is also annoying.
But at least they're not mean anymore!
— JAE 'NIKO' LEE.
Due to his job and the nature of it. There is nothing that he can do. He needs to keep a polite and positive front, he can't let people know the real him.
But he is seething. Seeing the death threats? The doxxing? He's angry.
He will use it as an excuse to pin you underneath his thumb and keep you in place, "it's too dangerous out there, darling."
Honestly, he uses it to his advantage for his selfish desires of keeping you where he wants you.
But he does seek them out and have them sorted out. Legally, of course.
— KAIDAN WOLFE.
Kaidan is so upset. Our delusional baby is so overwhelmed by the fact that your sadness is due to his popularity.
His entire fandom is created by people who want him, of course it's his fault you're getting hate.
He posts you more and makes sure that you feel loved and seen. That he doesn't listen to them, doesn't care.
Kaidan takes you out on private dates and hangs around with you 1:1 to make sure that the intimacy is there.
He wants you to know that he loves you and doesn't care about what they say, so neither should you.
— HAYDEN WEST.
I genuinely don't see anything like this happening. He's a very introverted person and not really ever noticed by others.
He thanks the world for bringing you so close into his grasp.
— JOSHUA WHITE.
The girls at the church can be vicious. Joshua is the perfect man. The perfect husband. The perfect father. Their dream man.
Taken by you? What in God's name?
He doesn't seem the sly remarks or the jabs made your way at first. He's so busy helping the community.
When he finally picks up on your behaviour as you slowly crawl into yourself due to their nastiness, he's over it.
He hates bullies. Those who are unkind. It goes against everything he believes in.
He makes sure to make it known in the church that its people will remain respectful and kind, to love thy neighbour, and to stop being judgmental idiots.
He also makes sure to make eye contact with those who make you uncomfortable, to really lay it on thick that he won't stand for any of it.
— BLAKE CROSS.
Blake picks up on it way before you do, and he stamps it out just as fast.
He's wealthy, from a wealthy family and knows what he wants and how to get it.
He got you, and he's not going to lose you because of a bunch of idiots.
Unlike the others, he has no social boundaries and will create a fuss.
"Shut up, I wouldn't even piss on you if you were on fire." He spits their way before dragging you away from them with a scowl and clenched jaw.
Honestly, it doesn't take long for him to get rid of idiots. He knows he can be a nasty person, and he will take advantage of it.

It can't be easy at all.
Warning: Mentions of chest pain (?) And sick aunt. Idk, I think that's it.

"You came back earlier today." Jeonghan commented, taking a sip of his morning tea. It was still quite dark outside, and only a handful of the wolves were awake.
"It was closed." Seungcheol mumbled.
His face was ducking to the side, and he was walking slowly with slumped shoulders.
He sighed, falling onto a chair and accepting the cup of hot tea Jeonghan was offering him.
Minghao was just finishing his tea. "It's okay, hyung. You'll get to eat those pastries later on." He tried to comfort the head alpha, patting his shoulders as he walked behind Seungcheol, walking straight to Wonwoo's room.
"Are you planning on telling the kids yet?" Jeonghan asked him with a raised eyebrow. Seungcheol shook his head.
"The last thing I want to do is stress them with the news, especially when some of them are just joining the pack."
Jeonghan nodded, looking through the window. Jihoon was playing with some balls that he probably stole from the town with one of the newest pups.

"It's a big deal," Jeonghan mumbled, chuckling at something that he saw outside, "you are our first example of imprimation; I think you should tell at least some of the olders; you know that we do need a plan B just in case..."

"You know it; that's all we need. You've been here almost as long as I have."

"I won't do it, Seungcheol. I'm not made to fit that spot in our pack; I genuinely think you should talk with Wonwoo or Joshua."

"Joshua." Seungcheol choose. "At least he's as old as we are."

Jeonghan nodded, taking the seat next to Seungcheol. "So how does it feel?"

Seungcheol's face immediately brightened up as he started thinking about his mate. "Amazing," he replied. His eyes were sparkling so much that, for a solid second, Jeonghan thought Seungcheol was about to start crying. "It feels like everything finally makes sense. Like I found the missing piece of the puzzle I didn't know was missing."
Jeonghan smiled at him and said, "I'm glad you found her." He admitted.
"Me too," Seungcheol replied.
"Are you going to try and meet her again later?"
"Yeah," Seungcheol nodded fervently. "But I don't know if I'll have much luck. There was something written on the board they use, but I couldn't understand it."
"You'll have to find some other thing in common," Jeonghan pointed him out, "because if we have to have bread for dinner and lunch for another whole week, I'm kicking you out. I swear."
"I never told you guys to eat it all!" Seungcheol sulked, his cheeks turning red. "I never get to eat the pastries I buy."

"Alright, alright." Jeonghan raised his hands, taking the last slice of bread that was left in there. "At least try and buy new stuff, though."
"I try! But the names are kind of difficult to remember, and I always forget everything whenever I see her." Seungcheol complained, hiding his face behind his hands.
The front door opened, and a sweaty Jihoon entered the house with a triumphant grin on his face. He gobbled down three glasses full of water before sending Jeonghan a curious look.

"Had fun outside, Jihoon?" Jeonghan asked instead, taking the fourth glass of water that Jihoon was about to drink and drinking it himself.

"Asshole." Jihoon complained, but he didn't make any effort to take it away from him.

Jeonghan returned it to the younger wolf once he finished it, a teasing smile on his face.

"Where's Soonyoung?" Seungcheol asked Jihoon, finally raising his head from the table.

"He's probably still whining about how I beat his ass." Jihoon replied proudly, walking downstairs with a straight back.
Jeonghan chuckled, finally shifting his attention back to Seungcheol once the other wolf was out of his sight.

"I'll go and check up on Soonyoung," he informed the head alpha; "he's probably sulking big time now."

Seungcheol nodded. "Why don't you take him to the lake? He usually likes to see the tiny fish in there whenever I scold him."

"I will; you go to sleep. You've barely been sleeping the past few days." Jeonghan was pointing at him.

The wolf wasn't lying; between patrols and the new additions to the pack, his new mate, Seungcheol, was constantly running in around two hours of sleep.

And the constant headaches were an indicator that he definitely needed to give his brain and body a good rest.

"But what if she's at the bakery when I'm sleeping?" Seungcheol frowned.

Jeonghan clicked his tongue. "If she's there today, then she's going to be there tomorrow; give it a rest, would you? At least for today. You won't be able to initiate any conversation with her if your brain is fried from lack of sleep."

Seungcheol still wasn't convinced.

Jeonghan sighed. "I'll go and take a look later, and if I see that the bakery is open, I will come back and wake you up. Alright? Would you go and sleep now?"
The pain in his chest was increasing with every second he didn't see you; it was so annoying. He pressed his hand against his aching chest, hoping that the added pressure would help him erase the pain.
"You promised it?" He asked.
"I promise it."
"Alright, then." Seungcheol agreed. "But as soon as you see it open, you run back and wake me up. Got it?"
Jeonghan looked annoyed. "Run? Seungcheol, c'mon, you cannot be serious. I will walk fast; that's the best you're going to get from me." And at the mad expression on Seungcheol's face, he added, "The town is pretty far from here!"
Seungcheol growled, his fingers massaging his dry eyes. "Fine! But you walk as fast as you can."
And with that, Seungcheol walked to his room, closing the door behind himself.

Jeonghan sighed one last time before walking towards the back of the house, finding Soonyoung sitting on the ground, angry, mumbling to himself while pulling up some grass.

"Hey Soonie." Jeonghan moved towards him, softly carrasing some of the younger wolf's hair to calm him down. He knew that the wolf had a soft spot whenever someone called him by a diminutive of his name.
"Nothing." He mumbled, his head moving closer to Jeonghan's hand, a pout on his face as he kept remembering what had happened before.

"You sure? Because that's not what Jihoon told me."

Soonyoung shook his head, moving away from the older wolf as he was now looking away.

"Why don't you tell me what happened?" Jeonghan asked once again, his tone soft.

"I'm sick of now winning, never. I'm always too slow and dumb; I'm sick. I thought being a wolf meant my senses were better, but it still feels the same as when I was just a human." He crossed his arms over his chest, hiding his face behind his ankles.

"You're not dumb, Soonyoung." Jeonghan reassured him. "Jihoon is just way faster than most of the wolves in our pack. It's okay; you will eventually find what you're the best at." Jeonghan smiled at him. "However, we're a pack, and it's not your priority to find out, Oh, I'm better than this person at doing this thing, you understand? We're all in this together."

Soonyoung nodded. "Still. I wish I could at least have something."

"I'm sure we can find out something together; why don't we go to the lake? There's some bread that we could feed the fish." Jeonghan offered.

"I don't think that's good for the fish." Soonyoung frowned, but he was starting to stand up nonetheless.

"Is it? My mom used to take me and my sister when we were babies to feed bread to the fish."
The two wolves started moving toward the forest, meeting Joshua on their way. The wolf had just finished his rounds and was going back home.
He wasn't necessarily tired, so he decided to join the duo on their way to the lake.

Soonyoung quickly started running, leaving the other two behind.

"He seems excited." Joshua chuckled.

"He had a fight with Jihoon." Jeonghan told him. "Or well, I don't think Jihoon knows they have had a fight."

Joshua nodded, already having an idea of how it could have gone.
The two of them sat down on the ground, looking at how Soonyoung was touching the cold water with his hands on the other side.
There were some fish here and there, but most of them were scared as soon as they saw Soonyoung.

"Have you noticed anything different about Seungcheol lately?" Joshua asked, picking up a rock near him and throwing it into the lake.

Jeonghan raised an eyebrow. "Different? What do you mean?"

"Well, he's been a bit...distracted, I guess. And he's been going to town almost every day," Joshua replied. "It can't be something good; he hates going to the town, and lately I cannot think of a single day in which he hasn't made his way down there."

Jeonghan chuckled. "Oh, that. Yeah, he has found this girl, and he has imprinted on her." Jeonghan informed him, taking a glance at Soonyoung, who now has half of his arms on the water.

Joshua's eyes widened in surprise. "Really? He never mentioned anything."

"He's pretty smitten with her. It's cute, really," Jeonghan said, a fond expression on his face. "But it is also kind of annoying, like he won't even go to sleep if he has a chance to see her. And I get it, but still."

Joshua smiled. "Have you met her yet?"

Jeonghan shrugged. "No, but Seungcheol seems to really like her. I hope she can accept him once he tells her everything."

"You think she won't?" He asked, his voice laced with concern.

"I don't know; there's always the risk of rejection." Jeonghan looked at him sadly.

"But what are we going to do if that happens? You know what happens if an imprint is rejected."

Jeonghan nodded, his expression matching Joshua's worry. "We will see. It doesn't have to be that bad, right? You never know; she might accept him for all we know. But whatever happens, we can't do much to change it."

"I just wish there was something we could do to help him," Joshua said, his eyes lost in the horizon. His mind was creating so many scenarios in his head, and he wasn't sure he liked any of them.

Jeonghan placed a reassuring hand on Joshua's shoulder. "We'll just have to wait and be there for him, no matter what happens. We can't predict the future, but we can always hope for the best."
The sound of Soonyoung falling onto the lake startled them both. A big wave was formed for a second, and some of the water fell near the two other wolves.

"Soonyoung!" Jeonghan half-complained, "Are you alright?"

Soonyoung emerged from the water; his hands were trying their best to take all the water from his face and hair, and his lips were now starting to turn purple.

"Yeah..."

"Get out of the water." Joshua told him, raising a hand to help him out. "We should go back before you start getting sick."

"I can't; I promised Seungcheol I would go to check on something in town." Jeonghan sent Joshua a secretive look. Joshua easily caught up on what was being said between lines, so he quickly nodded.

"Alright, Soonyoung and I will go back then. Be careful." He reminded Jeonghan.
Jeonghan's first impression of your family bakery was cozy. There were two old women and one man paying for something.
He glanced around at the various baked goods displayed on the shelves. You were behind the counter, a friendly smile on your face as your eyes met his, greeting him.

"Hi, welcome to our family bakery! What can I help you with?" You asked him.

Jeonghan hesitated for a moment before responding, "Actually, I'm not sure what I want." His eyes desperately looked around, trying to see if he could get a glimpse of something familiar. "My friend, he, um, comes here a lot recently. But I'm not sure what he usually buys."

Your smile brightened. "Oh, well, our Sfogliatella have been quite popular lately, and I have heard lots of people liking our biscotti." You recommend him. "Is there anything you think your friend might like?"

Jeonghan grinned. "Actually, my friend has already tried everything here. He's a big fan of your baking."

"Oh, I'm glad." Your cheeks were as red as a tomato.

Jeonghan leaned in closer to the counter, resting his chin in the back of his hand, taking a nice look at your face. "Yeah, he says your pastries are the best he's ever had."

You titled your head, taking a step back to avoid being that close to him. "Is that so? Which one is his favorite?"

Jeonghan smirked. "The one with the long, wavy black hair and puppy eyes."

"E-excuse me?"

Jeonghan straightened up, still grinning, and said, "Nothing you have to worry about; it was just a silly joke. I'll take the Sfogliatella; I bet Seungcheol will love that one."

 Seungcheol.

It has been a couple of days since the last time you saw him; at this point, he had become a regular client based on the number of times he went to your bakery to buy food.

You have talked about him with your friends from Italy on your little trip to visit your sick aunt. They have asked you to describe him, but your descriptions didn't seem to be good enough for them to picture him, so you ended up drawing him instead.

Your cheeks turned pink from the memory of the man in your little notebook.

You wonder if he would get scared or feel creeped out by it.

Jeonghan handed you the money and said, "It was nice to finally meet you."

"Finally meeting me?"

"Oh," Jeonghan chuckled, "you're quite the star in our house."

With months stuck in 1903 to plan, Kai accounted for everything.
The vampires are taken care of first, each one swiftly knocked unconscious before the crowd even realizes something is wrong.
The exits are sealed, preventing any cowards from running.
Bonnie is out of sight, ensuring he won’t have any last-minute changes of heart.
One by one, witch after witch disappears.
Children’s screams are cut off mid shout, some of their parents left behind in the chaos. The wolf his little sister refuses to admit she loves is gone, along with the human everyone insists is useful, both of them swept under a cloaking spell and into safety.
It all happens quickly, efficiently, and with few hiccups.
Kai planned nearly down to the minute, envisioning the way Ric would be too distracted by Jo’s body to do much more than cry, and Joshua would be riled into a fit of rage that would spark a long-awaited fight.
The only thing he didn’t expect was the way it would feel when Jo’s heart stopped beating.
**** Snippet of the longer bonkai fic I'm working on - planning to drop the first 2 chaps on the 23rd for the Red Wedding anniversary :)

Joshua awakes in darkness.
A breath is drawn from his chest like the string of a bow, taut, trembling; the sound of it mixes with the hum of the forest, the crickets and nightingales and the voice of the river. The air is cold, colder than he remembers it being when he fell into his dreamless sleep. He knows the prickling of his skin, the sudden shivering, the way his breath curls upwards in thin clouds — he knows these things like an old friend now.
“Samuel.” He reaches out in the darkness. “Samuel, I need you.”
His brother is awake in an instant. Even in sleep, Samuel is attuned to the sound of Joshua’s voice; he listens for the change of it, waits for when it will turn cold, dark, hungry.
For now, his brother’s voice is soft. “He’s coming.”
Samuel doesn’t ask if Joshua is certain. He can feel it too, that familiar shaking in his hands, and wills himself to be steady. He rises, moving sure-footed through the darkness; a lonesome wolf howls far in the distance, its cry made hollow in the trees.
“Hurry,” Joshua says. His voice is thinner now.
A third brother, a broken one, limps soundlessly from his guard post into the circle of trees where Joshua and Samuel stand. The sword at his hip is heavy, and the cold twines bruising fingers against his frame.
“What is it?” he asks. His eyes are the only thing left, the only part of him that he can trust; he watches as Samuel strips to almost nothing before pulling a long white robe over his body.
“God’s hand,” Jacob mutters. He whistles once, sharply, into the dark; a pair of glowing eyes opens and shimmers in the branches of a nearby oak.
“He’s coming,” Jacob says, watchful as the bright-eyed figure alights from the branch and lands like a cat on the ground, silent, graceful. He studies the figure’s shadowed face. “Are you Daniel?”
Sharp fangs show in a crooked smile. “Guess again.”
Jacob sighs. “Never mind. They’ll need a fire.”
The fanged creature hides its teeth and blinks once, twice, three times to rid its eyes of the feline glow. Soft brown takes its place, and worry finds a home in the curve of the mouth.
“What’s happened?” Daniel asks. Even his voice is different.
Jacob nods to the circle. “They need a fire. Your friend declined to help.”
Daniel shakes his head and bites the mark on the side of his hand, adding to the scars from teeth he’s set there before. “Not my friend.”
He gathers wood for the fire, broken ash and birch limbs cracking like ice across the surface of a frozen lake. Joshua flinches at each sound, his ears ringing, his head pounding; he hopes that the pain will not be as harsh tonight.
Daniel steps away when the fire is steady, flames curling and licking over the dead wood like serpent tongues. His eyes flicker again in the firelight.
“The hemlock,” Joshua urges, a creeping, frantic dread writhing like a living thing in his chest as the flame grows. He can feel it like a clawed hand around his heart, squeezing against the tender flesh.
Samuel ignores his brother. He knows which herbs he needs, which tinctures he must use; he mutters incantations to himself in a tongue that only he knows, a ghostly sort of song that makes it hard for Daniel to stay rooted. Everything must be perfect, and Samuel takes his time; he takes the herbs in his red-gloved hands, rolling dried flowers between his fingers until they crumble into a fine powder.
Jacob sucks a sharp breath through his teeth. “He’s nearly here.” The pain is always worse when he comes, and it webs over his hip, his chest, his shoulder. He knows if he traced it with his hand it would follow the path of the white scars etched into his skin.
A shadow passes overhead, blocking out the light of the moon and a thousand trembling stars. Each breath comes in silvery tendrils now, and the forest grows quieter with each passing moment.
“Samuel,” Daniel says quietly.
“Silence.” Samuel’s voice is harsh. “The wine.”
Daniel brings him the wineskin in perfect obedience, watching as Samuel pours a draught into a silver cup. He mixes a portion of herbs into the syrupy wine and hands the cup to Daniel.
“Make him drink,” Samuel says. “Cut his hand, this time.”
Joshua is silent, still, closed-eyed when Daniel comes to him. Daniel touches a gentle hand to his cheek, and Joshua startles.
“Oh,” he breathes. “Daniel.” He studies his brother’s face as Jacob did. “You are, aren’t you?”
Daniel presses the cup into Joshua’s hand. “Watcher doesn’t like this part. It’s only me.”
Joshua takes the cup, and Daniel pulls his dagger from its sheath; the blade catches the light of the fire and glints back against the flames. Joshua drinks the wine, swallowing down the bitter mix, and extends his arm to Daniel.
“I’m glad,” Joshua says, and there is enough softness to his voice to know he’s still there, at least for a moment. His entire arm is trembling, from his fingers to the crest of his shoulder. “I’d rather it was you.”
Daniel takes Joshua’s hand and cuts its swiftly, drawing the blade across his tender palm. Joshua gasps with the pain of it; blood wells in the hollow of his hand, and Joshua closes his eyes and turns his head when Daniel holds the cup underneath to catch it.
Daniel kisses Joshua’s bloody palm. “I serve the god of the wood.”
Joshua’s eyes sting with tears. It’s harder to breathe now. “Your service is counted as merit to you.”
Daniel takes the cup to Samuel and leaves Joshua’s blood smeared on his mouth, a blessing, a baptism. Joshua holds his hand awkwardly, blood dripping to the forest floor, and each drop sizzles where it meets the soft, springy undergrowth. Acrid smoke rises from the places his blood has burned the forest.
“Jacob,” Joshua rasps. “Your turn. Quickly.”
Jacob limps into the circle of trees and kneels before his twin, leaning heavily on his sword. He pulls roughly on the collar of his shirt, exposing the top of the long, winding scar.
“The pain won’t last,” Joshua says. “Remember this.”
Jacob grits his teeth. “Just do it.”
Joshua paints his brother’s scar with his blood. Jacob groans and flinches away from the touch as every nerve along the jagged scar comes alive with pain; he bows his head and rides the wave of torment with an anguished cry.
When the worst of it has passed, Jacob looks up at his brother, his blood- and sweat-slicked chest pumping with greedy breaths.
“I serve the god of the wood,” he gasps.
Joshua feels little distress at his brother’s display; the cold is too hungry now to give space to the warmth of pity. “Your service is counted as merit to you.”
When Jacob rises, his pain is gone, and he walks to Daniel’s side without a limp. His body is mended, for now, blood and bone knit back together until the magic runs thin again.
Blood on the mouth, blood on the chest; the last brother receives a streak of red on either cheek, and Samuel offers his pledge with solemn dignity.
“I serve the god of the wood.”
The ringing is unbearable now, Samuel's voice merely a thread of the cacophony weaving through his head. Joshua answers the way he must, and his voice has teeth.
“Your service is counted as merit to you.”
Samuel spreads the herbs over the fire, and clouds of smoke rise from the flames in a sparking blue haze. Joshua comes close to the fire, breathing in the fragrant smoke; the pain is gone, the ringing silenced, both rising to a crescendo before they vanish as sudden as death.
Then, like a thumb nail in the tender flesh of a ripe fruit, Joshua feels something else come in with the final breath of smoke.
“He’s here,” Jacob says.
Joshua’s hand raise of their own accord, one bloody, both shaking. His breath is sporadic, choking. His eyes roll back in his head.
“Don’t let me die,” he gasps.
“Be at peace,” Samuel tells him.
Everything goes black.
The shuddering inhale is torn from Joshua’s chest like the breath of a drowning man. Everything is spinning; he sways and only stays upright with the help of ready hands.
“What did he say?” he rasps.
He feels the rim of a cup against his mouth. “Drink, first,” Daniel says.
The water is cool, soothing the grit of another voice in his own throat. He’s lowered to the ground; one brother holds him, another tends his wound.
“God’s hand,” Joshua curses, shaking his head to rid it of the blinding dizziness. “Samuel, make it stop.”
“Be still,” Samuel says, panting and breathless. “I cannot help you. Have patience.”
Joshua squeezes his eyes shut and tries to calm his breathing. After a long moment, he opens them again.
His brothers sit with him beside the dying fire. The sky is lighter now, well past the dark of night, pale fingers of sunlight stretching over the cool gloom of morning. He knows he was gone for hours, and feels a residual shiver race across his skin.
“Are you well?” he asks, looking over his brothers. Jacob sits beside him, supporting him with a steadiness Joshua has missed in his twin. Daniel is the one mending his hand, rubbing salve over the wound, bandaging it with a strip of cloth. Samuel sits just across, peeling his gloves off, sweating despite the cool of dawn.
“Well enough,” Jacob says. Even in his voice, his brothers can tell that his pain has subsided. They all dread its return, but for now, he is hale and whole as he ought to be, as he was before.
Samuel accepts the waterskin Daniel gives him, taking long drinks to slake his thirst. Joshua knows that the visits are just as hard on his brother as they are on him, perhaps moreso; Samuel stays awake, and it is he who must ensure that the ritual unfolds as it should.
Joshua puts his head in his hands. His head is woozy still, full of incense and ringing like a death knell with one word, one name, over and over.
“Corinne,” he says.
Samuel nods. “Yes. That’s her name.”
Joshua feels ill. “Who is she?” He cannot bear the thought of dragging anyone else into this Stygian nightmare with him, but a hunger that does not belong to him aches in his chest.
Daniel’s eyes flicker until they are not his, gold and fire-bright. “A little queen for the god of the wood, perhaps?”
Jacob scowls. “No one asked you, Watcher.”
Fangs show when Watcher snarls, but he doesn’t dare speak back to Jacob. Not now, not when Jacob fairly glows with strength and vigor from the blood-blessing he's been given.
“Let him go,” Samuel tells the sprite. He takes Daniel’s hand and presses against the sigil in his skin. “Now, Watcher.”
“No fun,” Watcher says, sullen. He makes Daniel shake all over, a great heaving shudder like a dog shaking off water, and leaves.
Daniel groans and touches a hand to his head.
“I could feel him,” he says. “I tried to keep him quiet, but it’s getting harder.”
“You need rest,” Joshua says, gentle.
Daniel’s smile is thin. “You need rest.”
Sam shakes his head. “No time for it. We’re going today.” He looks to Jacob. “Do you know where it is? The place he spoke of?”
Jacob nods. “South.”
“Warmer,” Joshua says tiredly. “Of course.”
He looks up at his brothers. “Who is she?” he asks again. He doesn’t want the answer, but he must know.
Jacob grimaces. “Watcher was right. She’s... she’s meant to be your wife. He's chosen her.”
“My wife,” Joshua breathes. “No. His wife. My body.” He runs his hands through his hair. “Does she know? Or am I to snatch some girl from her home under cover of night?”
“You are to do as he commands,” Samuel says, wary and serious. “You must obey.”
“We all must,” Joshua says bitterly. He studies the bandage on his palm, lets his gaze travel to the scars that shine white all over his hands, his arms, his shoulders. “I serve the god of the wood.”
“Your service is counted as merit to you,” Samuel says, trying to comfort him.
Joshua sighs heavily. There is very little comfort to him now.
He stands, and his brothers stand with him.
“Very well,” he says. “We'll go south, and there we shall find a queen for the Master.”

AJ was a gift, send by God, even if his mother's parents weren't happy with the idea of their sixteen years old daughter falling pregnant and her bright future being forever tarnished by it. Being strictly religious, there was never even a mention for an abortion, even when doctors had adviced them to terminate the pregnancy due to some test results, and on one chill morning in November after a rough eight months Veronica Almaz gave birth to a set of twins.
AJ's birth name was Antonio Xavier Almaz and his sister was named Andrea Gabrielle Almaz, even though she only lived a couple of days after being born. Unlike her, AJ proved to be a fighter since birth despite the doctors giving him only 25% chances of living due to a rare condition he was diagnosed, called a ventricular septal defect. Due to it, he was a rather sickly child growing up, being under constant medical observation in case he may need a life-saving surgery performed to correct that defect. But surgery cost money, which the Almaz didn't have, which led Veronica to name a rather hasty decision and accept a job opportunity, which turned out to be a scam.
AJ and his mother became victims of human trafficking, never to see one another ever again. Due to his medical condition, AJ was soon dumped at a group home where he under constant neglect by the people who were supposed to be taking care of him. It wasn't until he was thirteen when the police were finally able to close down the place, releasing all children back to their real families or into the foster system as it appeared this home was a part of a bigger organisation, which was drawing funds.
AJ was a kid that one one wanted. He couldn't count the times he'd heard himself being too much; it was his medical history as well as everything that he's been through, which pushed potential adopters away. Then came Joshua Hoshea Meadows, a recently retired detective, who've lost his wife to cancer. It had always been his wife's dream to have a family, but they were unable to have one of their own and following her death, Joshua had made a promise to fulfill that wish by giving a chance to a child in need.
Under Joshua's care AJ flourished. There was finally some stability in his life, which allowed him to find what piqued his interests. As a teenager he was equally interested in sports, joining his high school's lacrosse team even, as well as computers, video games and all those things. It became evident that AJ was a rather smart kid, using his photographic memory to his advantage and having exceptionally high drive for solving puzzles of all kinds.
At the age of sixteen he was finally adviced to undergo a surgical procedure in order to help fix his medical issues once and for all.
Inspired by his adoptive father, AJ took interest in the law enforcement and proceeded a degree in criminal justice after graduation. He started his career path with the idea of becoming a detective, but later switched to crime analysis and profiling.

Joshua has been staying at Martha's rest since a couple weeks, having been picked up by a few guards stationed there when found wandering the landscape by himself. When informing them that he must return to Rosalith and to the Archduke, he was met with bewilderment, and informed that his home is occupied by imperials since the fall of Phoenix Gate.
It's naught that Joshua can or wants to understand. And so he goes nigh mute, refusing to give anyone his name or anything else that might give away his identity and resolving himself to having to sneak away and make his way back home by himself should no one from Rosalith get here first. That is until he catches sight of a man so strange yet so familiar at the same time. An imperial Bearer, accompanied by an equally familiar silver-haired lady and a big hound. From around the corner of the inn, Joshua warily observes the small group making their way through the settlement - until the hound raises its head and sniffs the air ere it dashes towards him, that is. Immediately, the young lord steps back in an attempt to retreat, but alas - it's too late. With an excited bark, the hound jumps on him and Joshua falls to the ground, not able to help the soft laugh escaping him when the animal licks his face.
Tumblr media
They had been busy helping out where they could. Both had too many sins and regrets to ignore those in need. Perhaps it felt like he could earn redemption by being helpful. Even though they had their own reasons for going to Martha's rest, they still seemed to get swept up in helping. They had been doing a favor for Martha when Torgal caught the scent of something. Clive cursed under his breath. He was usually so well-behaved. He told Jill to go on ahead while he retrieved the wolf. It was dangerous to be a bearer on his own, but this place was safer than most.
His heart sunk into his stomach when he saw that Torgal had knocked down a child. In a tone far too much like a parent lecturing a child, he scolded the wolf. He whined softly in protest, but Clive commanded him to return to the inn with Jill. He didn't want Torgal to be pulled into more trouble if this child's parents got angry. With only a growl in protest, the hound relented.
Tumblr media
"Apologies. M-my master sent me to retrieve him." He kneeled beside the child. "Are you h-" His voice died in his throat.
Blue eyes widened as he saw the boy. An illusion or a hallucination. Or a damned ghost. He didn't know. The lump that formed in his throat instantly stole his voice. His heart pounded in his chest and it felt like a knife was twisting in it too.
"J-Joshua...?" His voice trembles, cracks, and is barely audible. He isn't sure how long it takes before the tears run out of his eyes. Real or illusion, Clive cannot stomach the raw emotion attacking him. The brother that he has loved... The brother that he had killed... His hands moved to grip his small shoulders, fingers trembling as he held onto them. Gentle as to not hurt but firm.
"I.... I'm sorry...." Clive had always wanted to look strong in front of him. Shedding tears in front of Joshua was never something he wanted. But here he was, crying before him. Begging for forgiveness that he did not deserve. "I'm so sorry... I didn't.... I would never.... want to hurt you... I'm sorry."

Thunder and Shadow
Summary: Five years after Ultima’s defeat, those left behind have no choice but to push onward in a world still on the precipice of ruin. Left with all that remains of Clive—her twin boys—both Jill and Joshua do all that can be to ensure the world they grow up in is one of less strife and struggle than what came before. But the destruction of the crystals and the god that created them has left the aether and eikons in a state of chaotic distress that plagues the entirety of Valisthea. And now, to have received a letter from the north about stone bearers coming back to life, Jill has a new mystery to unfold.
At the same time, Clive finds himself waking on what he thinks must be the western Rosarian coast, though how he arrived there, he doesn’t know. Nor has he any idea how much time has passed since that final fight with Ultima. But as he begins to investigate, he sees a battle of eikonic proportions in the distance, one that revives old, bitter memories. Ifrit, perhaps, can make up for wrongs wrought so long ago.
Meanwhile, behind the scenes, a shadow manipulates them all, his eyes set on those who would become dominants and tools both.
Chapter 1 / Chapter 2 / Chapter 3 / Chapter 4
Chapter 5
He had to do something. It was another bad eikon and he was the only one big enough to fight it. To protect people, like Uncle Joshua did, and his mother. He was like them, so he had to fight.
But, last time, when he'd fought, he'd—
There were flashes of black horns, infected claws and sharp teeth. Glowing eyes and roaring in his ears.
He was scared now and…
Why would Worm try to fight it? Why was he going closer to it? What if he got hurt?
What if he…?
"WORM!" Elwin screamed, his voice hiccupping and leaving him choking on his tears as he begged, "Come b-back!" He tried to reach out after him, but the blonde lady was holding him around the middle.
"You stay here, little lord," she said, but didn't she understand?!
Worm couldn't get hurt! Worm was—
He was their…
That's what Pup said, and…
"Worm," Elwin whimpered, coughing now in his distress.
"No!" Pup said through his own crying as he latched onto Elwin's arm. "Don't!"
The lady, her hold on him had loosened, because all around him there was static, the lightning starting to grow, beginning to glow.
"Stop!" Pup continued in his ear, still holding tight to him.
But he had to do something! He was the only one that could—
"PAPA SAID NO!" Pup shrieked.
Startled, Elwin finally turned to his brother, who was still so close when everyone else had stepped away at the sight of his glow. He was crying still, and hugging Elwin's arm against his chest. Even as lightning sparked from Elwin's fingertips, he remained with him.
Chest hitching, power diminishing, Elwin cried harder.
Leaning in close, Pup murmured, "Papa said stay here."
But—
Jumping as the ground trembled beneath them, the air going hot, Elwin and Pup whipped their heads around as a great wall of fire erupted from beyond the cliff upon which the village sat. A wall that closed in to form as single tower of flames that beamed up toward the clouds. Around them, people screamed and ran, but Elwin could feel it.
Leaving the land around smoldering, the flames soon dissipated, a set of massive, red-hot horns emerging up into view, followed by a mane of sheer white and cracked, molten flesh—hard, armored skin that burned and boiled from the inside, creating a heated, wavering sheen.
A massive beast, with a head shaped somewhere between a wolf and a coeurl, if they happened to be made of rocks and fire.
"Ifrit," Pup whispered.
Ifrit…

JEWELS WITHIN; a wolf story pt.3
Tumblr media
Pairing - Kwon Soonyoung (Hoshi) x 6 year old!oc x fem!reader (you don’t show up until later chapters though)
Part 1 Part 2
Warnings - werewolf au, cold!soonyoung, cursing, hoshi using nicknames for his little sister (baby, honey, etc), 1 word is in caps, angst (my heart is aching writing this) hana has separation anxiety, bipolar!josh (he can get so soft and then be an ass but we all know he cares <33), Soonyoung overthinks… a lot in this part.
Word count - ? (I’m sorry I do this on mobile and it’s so hard to get a word count. 😭)
Summary - After being rejected by his mother at birth and parents murdered by hunters, soonyoung is faced with the responsibility of raising his little sister alone… until he finds you.
Notes: fonts are used at random times, as always. Towards the end we get the side of Jeongsoo’s story! (His father) but other than that italics will usually always be for Soonyoung when he thinks!
Soonyoung has always been faced with difficult decisions.
Whether it was him figuring out the food him and his sister would eat during the day, or where they would sleep.
Honestly it was just plain difficult.
Raising a child by yourself is not the easiest task at hand, especially when you have nowhere to go, nowhere to be warm other than a fire made out of wood and rocks.
So Joshua asking him to stay after bitching for so long? It was a hard decision to make. Why? Because you never can be too careful, who knows if he’s acting and will do something?
He would be lying if he plain out said he wasn’t nervous, because he was. All he ever wants is to give his sister the best life, a life that’s not living rough and needing to fight to survive.
She’s only 6 for crying out loud, but at the end of the day, he’d do anything for her, no matter if she screams her heart out in the morning singing her favorite songs, or just talking about whatever nonsense children love to speak about. Because she’s his sister.
Please stay.
These two words have been ringing in Soonyoung’s ears for so long with eyes empty and dazed out.
Could he trust these people- werewolves. Could he trust these werewolves? Sure he stayed the night here, but staying? That’s something he immediately starting flooding his thoughts with what if’s on things that may or may not happen.
One being what if they want Hana and take her while he’s sleeping?
No… he’s smarter than that he’d can make sure that wouldn’t happen, easy.
But what if they poison him or her? What if they put wolfsbane in the food!? Or… or the air… the water?
“Hoshi!” A voice called out. What if he can’t smell anything because they put something in the house’s air that took his senses away but not theirs!?
No… that’s not possible.
What if they’re teamed up with hunters?? Or what if they hate rogues so much they truly want to kill them?! “Hosh! Hosh!” The voice called out again.
Soonyoung was overthinking so much he completely blurred out everything around him (which he’ll blame himself for not paying attention and letting his mind off guard for watching Hana.)
But what if… “HOSHIIIII!!” The voice yelled, bringing Soonyoung out of his overthinking mind. “H-huh? Oh.” He said looking down at Hana who was calling his name and looked at him with big eyes.
“I think you should accept his offer! He looks really nice now! And we wouldn’t have to live in a cave anymore!” The little girl says happily. “I can’t just accept his offer Hana! This is a huge choice to make and-“
“You don’t have to accept. I understand, I mean I was an ass and now I’m switching up, but I’m being as sincere as I can be when I say I want you to stay, I know what you two are going through… and I’m not saying that out of empathy.” He says with a dry laugh, walking towards the kitchen door leaving Soonyoung with a anticipating Hana.
Looks like Mr Anger has some secrets yet to be told…
“I understand that being outcasted and living such a heard life can bring trust issues… but you really can trust us! I mean something inside of you allowed both you and your sister to stay the night here, maybe a week or so until you find something else wouldn’t hurt Soonyoung.” Aria says, looking at Soonyoung with a small smile.
“How would you understand? I’m sure you’ve never lived a hard day in your life.” Soonyoung says coldly. “We aren’t outcasts.” He scoffs. “But that’s how you see all rogues huh? Can’t blame you. But we’re not outcasts.” He says, shaking his head and thinning his lips into a straight line as he looks down at his sister.
“Do you want to stay here? Is that what you really want?” He says softly.
“Yes! I will be so happy!” The little girl says, giving a big convincing smile up at her brother who sighs. “Fine, we’ll stay but only for a week, then we’re leaving.” He says sternly.
“Great! You won’t regret it… I hope.” Aria says looking down towards the floor.
“Anyways! Are you both hungry? Anything you want specifically?” She says trying to change up the mood. “Whatever you make is fine… thanks.” Soonyoung says picking up Hana and sitting her on his hip as he follow the shorter girl into the kitchen where Joshua sits eating his already made breakfast.
“I want some pancakes please!” Hana says clapping her hands, still wearing that big smile on her face. “Do you ever stop smiling?” Joshua asks with furrowed eyebrows. “Of course not sir! Smiling is great to do! It can make others happy!” Hana squeaks out. “I also love smiling cause-“ she tried to explain further. “Hana be quiet, you don’t have to give him any reason.” He cuts her off. “He’s just upset he can’t do the same.” Soonyoung says with a snicker.
“Don’t forget who’s letting you stay here. I could make you get out right now.” Joshua says glaring at Soonyoung. “We both know you won’t do it.” Soonyoung starts. “You’re little ‘i know what it feels like’ speech says it all… if it was even true.” Soonyoung says lazily. Making Joshua stand up.
“Of course it was true! God is that what people see me as? Someone who would lie about that?!” He yells making Hana flinch. “Baby…” Aria says moving towards Joshua.
“I don’t know? Lots of people like to lie their way out of things by using a hard core background of a life for an excuse, you can’t blame me for saying what I said.” Soonyoung says in a matter of fact tone.
Joshua just scoffs and leaves the kitchen.
What’s his deal this morning…
“He uh… gets like this sometimes… or a lot but! Don’t worry about it he really doesn’t mean any harm.” Aria tries to explain. “It’s all good. Hey do you know where I’d get a job application from?” He asks suddenly making Aria look at him from behind the counter.
“Well… actually, I work at a bar and maybe I could help you get a position there.” She says putting a hand to her mouth as she thinks.
Her? Working at a bar? Didn’t see that coming.
“Didn’t think you would be the type.” He mumbles. “What type?” She asks with a tilt to her head. “To work at a bar, you know, you just don’t look like you’d be in that setting.”
“Oh! Yeah I mean you’re right, It’s definitely not but it pays well… so how about after breakfast we can go down there? You can check it out and see if you like it there.” She says with a smile on her face, turning back around to finish the food.
“Sure, that would be great.” He says with a monotone. “Hosh?” Hana says grabbing the attention of the older boy. “Hm.” He says looking at her. “What’s a job? And what’s a bar?” She asks looking up at her brother with a semi opened mouth in question.
“A job is where someone goes to get money, which is what I really need for us to get our own place, with food and get you the things you need.” He says, not bothering to answer the girl’s other question.
“What about a bar?” She asks.
Kids sure don’t quit until they get an answer huh?
Soonyoung just sits staring into the table not answering his sisters question.
Hana on the other hand, realizing her brother won’t reply to her question. She asks the girl In front of them. “Miss what’s a bar?! Do you eat it?” She asks. While Soonyoung burns a hole into the back of Aria’s head with his eyes hoping she won’t tell Hana the truth.
He wants Hana to be away from all these kinds of things, she’s too young, she doesn’t need to know what a bar is.
“You can call me Aria honey, a bar is when people gather around and play games and have a good time!” She tries explaining it in the best kid friendly way as she could.
“Games!? I wanna go! Take me, take me!” She pleads to Soonyoung. “No.” Is all that he says. “You’re no fun hoshi! Aria would take me! Right Ria?” She says, using a nickname that made Aria’s heart swell.
“I’m so sorry sweetheart, but you can’t go until you get just a little older! Plus… it’s not as fun if you’re small, it’s harder to have fun there!” She says softly. “Breakfast is ready!here’s the pancakes for the little princess! I hope you like them, I made them with love.” She says laughing a little.
“Here’s your breakfast… hoshi.” She says trying to be playful. “Don’t call me that.” Soonyoung says glaring at her. “Oh.. I just-“ She tries explaining. “Only Hana calls me that and I’d like to keep it that way.” He says. “We aren’t friends, we’re merely guests and I don’t need you calling me nicknames.” He says shaking his head.
“I’m sorry…” Aria says quietly. “It’s okay ria.” Hana mouths to her, making her smile sadly.
Why is she sad? He’s kind of right… we aren’t friends, we don’t know him, or the child. They’re merely just guests that we don’t need to get close to other than helping them.
Right?
“I’m done eating.” Soonyoung says leaving the kitchen table with a quiet thank you.
“He barely ate anything…” Aria says looking at his plate. “He doesn’t eat a lot, I try telling him to eat but he don’t listen!” Hana says throwing her tiny arms into the air with an eye roll making Aria laugh.
“The bar is approximately 15 minutes away from this house, and 30 minutes if you try walking.” Aria explains as she gets ready for work. “Okay.” Soonyoung says watching her get ready as he just had his shoes on- which were new ones as Aria snuck into Joshua’s room to get a pair.
Not like the guy would notice anyways. He has to many shoes… unless he keeps track of all of his shoes and he’ll tell her off later after work.
She cringes just at the thought.
“Where’s a place that Hana can go? I have to drop her off close to this job.” Soonyoung says looking around the house since he never really payed attention to it.
“Huh? A place to drop her off? There isn’t one, she’s gonna stay here with Joshua and some other of the pack members here.” She says as if it was the most obvious thing.
As soon as he heard this information he started to panic on the inside. Hana? Alone? That simply wouldn’t do… she’s never been alone, ever. Sure for a small moment when he has to go get food for the two of them
But actually by herself? With random people? No.
“I change my mind, I don’t want to do it.” He quickly says. “What? Why?” She asks with furrowed eyebrows.
“I can’t leave my sister here alone are you crazy!? She’s never been alone before, plus all these people? I won’t allow it. It wouldn’t work out-“ He says in a rush, not even realizing he was showing his panicked side.
“Soonyoung, just calm down, please? You’re sister will be fine. The others here will absolutely adore her. They’d never do anything to hurt her.” Aria says trying to reason with him.
“But what if-“ He tries protesting. “She’ll be fine.” Aria says looking into his eyes with a smile.
“Okay.” He sighs, giving in… for once.
-
Leaving Hana alone was a pure nightmare come true. Even if it was for a few hours advance, his baby, his sunshine, his Everything would be alone… without him.
Without him to check up on her every second, annoying her with his singing (which he also knows it’s what helps her sleep at night, although she won’t admit it.) for all the 6 years they’ve spent together roaming around trees and going from shelter to shelter.
Hana never knew what it was like to live without her brother next to her, it was no doubt she would react badly to the news her protecter had to leave for half the day.
“You’re leaving me?! Why?! I know I was a bad girl last night and I’m sorry! I.. I didn’t mean it!” Hana sobbed from the depths of her heart.
Soonyoung had broke the news to her that he’d be leaving for a few hours and now she thinks he’s mad at her.
He was definitely expecting this reaction.
“What? No! It’s only for a few hours baby, I promise and it’s not about last night, okay? I have to go.” He said trying to blink away the tears that wanted to come through.
“B-but i don’t want you to go. I want you to stay with me.” She hiccups. “I know… I know honey and I’ll be back so fast you wouldn’t even know I was gone! You’re safe here yeah? I wouldn’t leave you unless I knew you were safe, you know that right?” He says rubbing his hand over her hair.
“I know! But why do you have to go? Just stay here!” She says in a whines. “It’s not that easy to explain Hana, but it’ll just be a few hours, okay? I swear to you.” He promises.
Should he have told her that he’s looking for a job? Perhaps, but that would lead her asking questions about it and pushing it.
He has to go. He made it his life mission -quite literally- to make sure he can give his sister everything possible in life.
His father wanted him to be the one who protected her. Not that he had any other choice in the moment, but still, he would want her with Soonyoung anyways.
***
Jeongsoo knew from the moment he brought Hana home, Soonyoung would not only love her and do anything to the extent.
But he also knew he would be taking care of her for the rest of his life.
Yes, he knew that the hunters would come find them eventually, he knew him and his wife would be killed.
He knew.
He never did anything because he wanted to have his last longing moments with his daughter and son for as long as he could hold onto. Even if it was overnight.
It wasn’t easy accepting the fact his life was going to be taken away from his children, he despised it. But what could he do?
If he tried getting protection or help it would lead to people knowing more about it, he couldn’t have that happen.
Jeongsoo was a very smart man, he could sense when things were going to arise, he could feel the atmosphere change when something was being planned.
Which is also how he knew that Soonyoung would be okay, he was gonna have to mature quickly and of course, it was going to be the hardest moments of his life to come.
He’d figure it out though, he always has figured things out, even if it may be messy, he’ll know what to do. Just like his father taught him.
He never liked the idea of having his kids live the same life he did.
Jeongsoo was guilty, though. The requirement of leaving his children in the world the way he must?
No parent ever wants to do that, unless it’s for a reason, which of course he had.
Things can be so hard sometimes.
Oh Hoshi… you won’t be alone for long…
I’ll make sure of it.

I think that 5SOS5 was my very first obsession. It was my first album that I really got into and when it came out, Bad Omens, Carousel, and Me, Myself and I were on repeat. I truly did not have a 5SOS album that I would go to. I was so new, and I still very much am with only a year and maybe a few months in my belt but I love these boys so much. 5SOS5 is still such a special album for me. Carousel makes me cry so much (sometimes I can't listen to it but it is everything I worked for). Take my hand (Joshua tree version) is just so comforting. I love this band so much. Best Friends reminds me of @crystalheart11 cause she is my best friend (no shit)(hi I spammed your mentions again) Emotions makes me emotional and just I love this band so much. I missed Ash, and Luke, and Mikey, and Cal. They really helped me find myself so much. Watching the interviews for 5sos5 and that be being the first time I'd laugh that day - that why I love this band. I used to and still stay up watching their interviews spefically the 'teens react to 5sos' is my favorite because it's just so comforting. Blender is such a place of home, Okay now im crying to the girl who cried wolf which I know is not 5sos5 but now im fucking sad.

Being young and still forced to attend the many feasts the Rosfield household had to arrange every once in a while was both a blessing and the curse. Joshua loved to be with people, especially his brother. And he was always proud to see Clive being so easily accepted among the other knights and even the Lord Commander Murdoch seemed to have a soft spot for him. The younger brother could still not comprehend why the Phoenix would choose him out of all people when Clive was everything someone could want from a good leader. Joshua loved his brother deeply and he felt very proud to have someone as honorable as Clive to serve him as his shield one day.
The downside was.. the feasts were an event for adults and therefore the knights and everyone else behaved liked adults, especially once they started to feel the effect of the ale and mead. And as Joshua quietly sat in his chair next to his mother, pushing around the food on his plate with a fork, he listened to one of the knights talking about how he had gruesomely killed a beast, a gigantic wolf, cutting open its belly before cutting off its head to take it with him as a trophy.
That night as Joshua slept all he could see was a poor wolf being killed, just for eating a lamb as it was the beast’s nature to do so, and afterwards the severed head chased him through the whole castle, trying to make the next lamb out of him.
Joshua woke up covered in cold sweat and his heart pounding in his chest as if he had really run through the entire castle and not much later he realized he was still crying. Quietly the boy got out of bed and sneaked out of his room on bare feet. People would assume a scared boy would always seek out the comfort of his mother, but almost instinctively Joshua made his way towards his brother’s room.
“Clive? Are you awake?”, Joshua asked into the darkness and once he had stepped inside he quietly closed the door behind himself before making his way toward his brother’s bed. As he climbed on it he settled down by Clive’s feet, putting a tiny hand on his thigh to shake him, trying to wake him up.
“Clive? Can you read a story to me? I had a nightmare..”

dance (a fun little dance)
actions speak louder than words
dance, sender sticks a hand out to receiver and invites them to dance.
"My, my - despite your outward appearance being rather roguish and suspicious, you have the steps of the highest of noblemen!"
Is that supposed to be a compliment? Clive thinks it's supposed to be one, and he can't really get offended by it because he does give off that vibe with slightly messy hair, a large scar going down his face, a sword at his back at all times, and a large wolf with teeth bigger and sharper than most normal dogs.
"I'm a Marquess." It's all he offers, really, along with a simple shrug of his shoulders. "If you're looking for someone who is a little cleaner than I am, I can offer you my younger brother." That might be a bad idea for Nero's ego though, because Joshua would absolutely get down on one knee and take her hand in his. But the Emperor merely shakes her head in response, her hand in his as they glide along the dance floor.
"Nay, this is fine. I was simply surprised. It reminds me that not every book can be judged by cover alone. And I've heard that you're a man of theater as well! You must tell me what sort of plays you partook in!"
Tumblr media
The outlaw smiles just a little, a chuckle leaving his lips as a response to her words. Perhaps he should take her lesson as well; he wasn't expecting an Emperor such as herself to be so taken with the island and its people. A far cry from Dion's own father, for certain. He'll have to learn more about this Emperor he's dancing with, if only to learn of her motives and where her heart lies.
For now, he's content with simply dancing with the woman, allowing her to take the lead.

Updates on Drama
So what I was thinking about earlier today was about how Wilma told me she didn't have the heart to leave my son. Well, good for my son, but bad for her. It's not right to stay in a toxic relationship because of the children. Wilma thinks that Ricky has changed and is treating her better. Yeah, for how long before he starts doing the same shit all over again? When Ricky was gone for 2 weeks, she was going crazy and venting to me. Since he came back, she's back to being quiet again. I'm relieved that my son still has a great person taking care of him while I won't be there for awhile. I'm just concerned when Ricky is going to pull the same shit again. He's been cheating on her at least twice majorly. We shall see how much longer she can handle until he hurts her again. I have no faith that he can ever change. Many people would call her a weak or a dumbass for staying in such a bad relationship. Even with Cait's readings, she see's that they won't last very long. When he ends up hurting her again, and she comes back crying to me for advice or to vent to again, I'm going to be like, well you already know what he's capable of, what he has already done to hurt her and the others in the past, but she made the choice to still stay with him. It's on her......
Another drama I want to bring up was the drama between Lex Wolfe and her drummer girlfriend, Shaina. Right when Josh & I left Cali, they got pissed off about it. Lex acted like Josh fucked her over because she seem to have enjoyed being part of his band, but the thing is that she's got plenty of work going on as a hired gun. She can basically play in any kind of band that she wants and be paid, but she never wanted to practice whenever Josh asked her to. She's not committed as she should be as Joshua said. They never even made an official agreement about paying Shaina a set amount. After Lex found out about us moving out of state on his post on social media, that's when she came out and said that she expected Shaina and Skumlove to be paid. She doesn't even know Skumlove long, I think they just barely met from that day they streamed their online competition. Skumlove even has been bugging Josh for money just like majority of the people would that he owes. Me and Josh agree that if you agree to help somebody, just help them. If you're sitting there expecting the money back right away, it ain't gonna happen so these people could've said NO and refused to help and move on with their lives. It's dumb how humans can be. If I can't help anybody, I don't help. Plain & simple....
I never even did anything wrong to Lex and this was between her and Josh, but she had the audacity to post a comment under my personal post about moving out of state and about missing my family & son about moving to a better environment and then owing her friend and Skum some money. What a disrespectful bitch....I blocked all of her and her gf's social media on all platforms right away, at least I thought I did. Just yesterday, I noticed somebody reported one of my museum photos on Facebook as a nudity/sexual content and you can see clearly that it's all vintage photos of musicians. Lex Wolfe popped into my head and I immediately blocked both her public & private accounts from my public page. We weren't able to do that before, but i am glad that Facebook allows you to do that now. Of all the 6.5 years I been doing my work, nobody has ever reported my shit until yesterday at 9pm. I knew it has to be Lex. Hopefully that will fix the problem now that she or Shaina can't see any of my pages or Joshua's pages at all now. I'll have to do another curse on her. We paid her ass her money before we left California, too so it's fucked up that she's coming after Josh by trying to harass my fucking social media. It's all good, i'll have to fuck her up spiritually.

Evita: The Life & Work Of Eva Peron GN -  Alberto Breccia
In a sequel to their spellbinding, experimental biography of Che Guevara, Hector Germán Oesterheld and the Breccias chronicle the eventful life of Eva Perón. Published in 1970, Evita: The Life and Work of Eva Perón was daringly intended to be the follow-up to the artists' successful and controversial 1969 graphic biography Life of Che. Hector Germán Oesterheld plotted the book and the father and son team of Alberto and Enrique Breccia drew the comic - but the text was "sanitized" before its publication. In 2001, a restored version of Evita featuring Oesterheld's original, uncensored script wasfinally published in Spanish; it is translated in English here for the first time. In just 72 boldly penned chiaroscuro pages, this graphic biography paints a complex portrait of a pivotal Argentine figure who was at once beloved and reviled by her people.
Born in rural Argentina to extreme poverty, she moved to Buenos Aires where she met and married Colonel Perón, who would become president of Argentina. As First Lady, affectionately nicknamed Evita, she devoted herself to social welfare and worker's rights, campaigned for women's suffrage, and became known as "The Spiritual Leader of the Nation." While she has been viewed as an international icon, inspiring celebratory works such as Andrew Lloyd Webber's 1976Broadway Evita, this biography by her countrymen takes a far more searing and critical approach, chronicling the noble causes she fought for as well as the militarism and oppression of the Perónist regime.

Hidden Systems GN -  Dan Nott
This nonfiction science graphic novel takes readers on a journey from how the most essential systems were developed to how they are implemented in our world today and how they will be used in the future. What was the first message sent over the internet? How much water does a single person use every day? How was the electric light invented? For every utility we use each day, there's a hidden history, a story of intrigue, drama, humor, and inequity. This graphic novel provides a guided tour through the science of the past and reveals how the decisions people made while inventing and constructing early technology still affect the way people use it today.
Tumblr media
Hoops GN -  Matthew Tavares
A work of fiction inspired by a true story, Matt Tavares's debut graphic novel dramatizes the historic struggle for gender equality in high school sports. It is 1975 in Indiana, and the Wilkins Regional High School girls' basketball team is in their rookie season. Despite being undefeated, they practice at night in the elementary school and play to empty bleachers. Unlike the boys' team, the Lady Bears have no buses to deliver them to away games and no uniforms, much less a laundry service. They make their own uniforms out of T-shirts and electrical tape. And with help from a committed female coach, they push through to improbable victory after improbable victory. Illustrated in full color, this story about the ongoing battle of women striving for equality in sports rings with honesty, bravery, and heart.
Tumblr media
House On Fire TP -  Matt Battaglia

Battaglia depicts the near-future landscape of House on Fire with wild two-color brushwork reminiscent of the great Paul Pope, and a minimalist writing style that evokes and questions rather than lectures.
