Drabblecember 2023 Day 12: Snowball Fight Headcanons

This is for @eternally-smitten and @bioexorcizm's Drabblecember Event! They said that Drabblecember could be anything that was low effort basically, so I've decided to do some headcanons! Just in time for the last day!

Ship: Optimus Prime (TFP)/Honey Moon (S/I)

🖤 So, I think the concept of a snowball fight would come up while Honey (me) is on a low risk patrol with Optimus. I would be riding with Op and near the end of the patrol it comes up that, like Raf, I grew up in an environment that didn't snow. And that I was curious about it too.

🖤 And he takes note of this and plans to take me to a place to see snow. He convinces me to come under the guise of getting Raf a snowball like he promised in the scraplet episode. He surprises me by telling me that the main purpose of the trip was for me to experience the snow.

🖤 "But we'll still get Raf his snowball right?" I would question, wanting to make sure Raf was happy.

🖤 Op would appreciate my thoughtfulness. "Yes, we shall." He would say with a small smile.

🖤 We get to talking about games humans play in the snow, a conversation started after I attempt to make a snow angel. I would tell him about snowball fights and things like that.

🖤 Then I would make a snowball and throw it at his windshield on his chest. He would just slowly raise a metal eyebrow at me while the snowball sloooowlllly slides down his windshield.

🖤 I remember Arcee mentioning that "Primes don't party" and I realize I might have accidentally offended the serious leader. So, I sheepishly apologize and he accepts it. I can't really discern his thoughts as usual. Since, he keeps them very well hidden. I would worry I just ruined any progress on friendship with the stoic bot.

🖤 We take a walk and I end up checking out a tree with snow on its branches. When I go under it I notice Optimus didn't come over with me.

🖤 Before I can ask what's wrong, he raises his foot up and then stomps real hard on the ground. It causes the snow to fall off the branches and fall on me. Some even going down the back of my shirt!

🖤 (I make a lot of embarrassing noises when that happens.)

🖤 Then Optimus chuckles, which is basically the equivalent of keeling over with laughter for him. He comes over and helps gently dust the snow off of me and asks if he wins the snowball fight.

🖤 And I think in my head that I want to keep hearing him laugh.

🖤 (Op: is gentle and kind and then shows a hidden sense of humor, but is still kind-hearted about it.)

Hi Rebecca! Thank you for the ask! I'm going to answer these with Optimus since you didn't say a specific f/o. ✨✨✨

Orange rose: Who's more spontaneous? Do one of you often get dragged around by the other?

Between the two of us, I think Optimus is slightly more spontaneous than I am. But not by much. I imagine in most relationships I would be less spontaneous. And I don't think we drag each other around really. I'd say we both separately plan dates and things we can do, then we bring them up with each other to see if we like the ideas or have the capability to do them.

Blue rose: What is your favorite date setting?

Oh, I really like the idea of stargazing dates. Going out to a secluded area where no humans are around, with low light pollution and looking at the stars.🖤🖤🖤🖤 Also, I really like the idea of being out with him while it is lightly raining. and kissing in the rain

2 roses: Who fell first and who fell harder?

Ooooo I dunno... Maybe I fell first and then he fell and then we both fell real hard??? I can kinda imagine it going like:

Honey: "Ok, so this semi truck can turn into a giant robot??? Oh, he's an alien, and the leader of them??? Oh, he's really huge and kind of intimidating, but he's actually really gentle and kind and sweet to me and the kids, OOPS I HAVE FEELINGS FOR HIM!!!!!"

Optimus: "This human is different from the rest, he came from another universe and hops between them???? He's really shy and timid, but kind and even brave when bravery is needed. He loves all the Autobots under my command and has started dating them. And he tries to take care of the human children and be a good role model for them and give them advice and try to help them with school work and protect them as best he can. He also tries to look after me and understands my role and duty as leader, oh dear I have fallen in love with Honey, I must repress these selfish desires lest I ruin our friendship.

🎄: What's something you always do around the holidays with your f/o?

For the autobots, I think before they befriended the humans they had known about Christmas, but they just didn't do anything with it since it's an earth holiday and they didn't have a reason to celebrate.

So, when the holidays do show up after they've befriended humans, I help the kids convince Optimus to decorate the base a little bit. (Much to Ratchet's irritation.)

I would convince him to help me with hanging decorations up and that would end up with me telling him about christmas trees and their decorations and stockings and mistletoe, and so on. And he gets really into it. So into it that we end up decorating the entire base with decoration instead of just the main room. So, I think we would put up decorations every year. :)

🎁: How do you and your f/o handle gifting each other? Do you make lists and give them to each other or do you just intuit what the other wants? Some third method?

Honestly? I think we just come to a mutual agreement to not worry about it. It's hard for Optimus to acquire anything that I would want, being a giant alien robot from space, and Optimus isn't a material person, or at least I think so.

But we do try to make time for each other. And that can be hard depending on if the Decepticons or Mech are really active during this time. It's a war Optimus is involved in after all. But we manage to pull through. ;)

🎊: What do you do with your f/o to celebrate new years, if anything?

I think we probably try kissing at midnight to ring in the new year. But we don't watch any fireworks or set any off. The reason is that I have sensory issues with loud noises, so Optimus wouldn't force me to do something that causes me such distress. Otherwise, we probably just sleep like normal if there isn't any enemy activity.
