The threat leaves her lips on instinct, hands hovering close to her chest in sudden fright. No... not fright. That wouldn’t be right. She isn’t scared of him--fern eyes widen when he looks at her, an emotion behind his gaze that she isn’t sure that she wants to know. Askran princess releases a shaky exhale when he actually speaks to her.
     Fafnir’s here...
He’s... here. In Fódlan. Outside of Askr. Outside of Niðavellir. Standing before her.
Sharena nods to his words, not like they were a question to begin with. Said as a statement that she is the princess of Askr. There is no doubt about that. She’s Alfonse’s sister, the daughter of the king and queen. She’s here and he is, too. He doesn’t move, just as she threatened, but she’s the one to take a step back. One that stutters and hesitates before her foot touches the ground. There wasn’t anywhere to go, if she even tried to retreat to somewhere more public, he would catch up to her; he could catch up to her.
( Combat intended to harm someone to the point of self-satisfaction wasn’t allowed anywhere in the monastery. Not unless the mutual desire was shared with wooden weapons and handled by sparring.
She doesn’t have her lance and she can’t see any blade on Fafnir, but he could hurt her without one. He did so to her mother; Sharena’s neck is smaller and, beneath his palm, could snap easier. )
Fafnir speaks, again, but this time his voice definitely releases a question. She’s late to answer, her gaze is fleeting; on him, the right wall, the left, the corridor that stretches past Fafnir.
“Well...” Did Alfonse know that he was here? Should she warn him? “I... What are you doing here?” Gloved fingers curl into fists before she lowers her arms to her side, unable to stop her hands from moving behind her back and her fingers from fidgeting against each other. Deep breath, hold for four seconds, release for six. She’ll be fine. All she needs to do is calm down. “Sorry, I’m here as a student,” Of course, “but you’re here and you’re... are you here to teach?”
