What drives Laurie to go hell over and over again when giving up to the nightmare would sound easier than running and running... Is she afraid of death or the shape himself? Or is what her life holds something she wishes to cherish in the end, no matter how much is already robbed from her. Her friends, her sense of security shattered... Laurie will always be haunted by the gruesome sight of her friends’ bodies set up. She might cry, even scream, but that doesn’t prevent her acting right away in dire situations. The hell, what is more dire situation than have actual serial killer chasing you in ‘ you’re the next to end up here ’ way?  Even after falling stairs and possibly injuring herself, Laurie doesn’t fear to strike her hand through a door window - let shattered glass peel her skin while she unlocks the door before Michael reaching her - the fact she was ready to attack since the beginning, already having the knitting stick in her hand before he made a move. Just wow.
