Protagonist Kaede, Class Trials
Since this is the idea that Kaede is the protagonist there are actually two routes for the first trial.
First Trial Killer: Shuichi Victim: Rantarou
Kaede made the ‘trap’ but Shuichi takes the blame, and is executed as if he is the perpetrator. The reasoning being that Shuichi ‘convinced’ Kaede to not go through with her plan but he executes it behind her back.
Alternative First Trial Killer: Tenko Victim: Himiko
While might get some hate cause Tenko would never do such a thing, I imagined it as more of an accidental murder. Set up by the mastermind and in this alternative Kaede didn’t set up the trap.
Second Trial Killer: Hoshi Victim: Kirumi
Because of the motives, what if his motives happened to have something but it was a lot more drastic then imagined. So when she thinks his guard is down he actually kills her instead.
Third Trial Killer: Angie Victim: Korekiyo and/or Kaito
Fourth Trial Killer: Gonta Victim: Miu
Fifth Trial Killer: Maki Victim: Shuichi
Sixth Trial True Killer: Tsumugi Victim: Himiko or Rantarou
Possible survivors are Rantarou, Kokichi, and Kaede or Kaede, Kaito, and Kokichi. Reason Kokichi alive is because Kaede a stubborn fuck. I feel sad murdering Shuichi though even in the alternative thing.

Honestly, Kaede felt like a shadow of her formal self after Shuichi’s execution and it felt like a few people thought she tried to purposely make them pick wrong. Since the execution, she has been a bit quiet still unable to process that she was alive. At the least thankful for the slight reprieve given as there was no new motive. But the air of the dining room felt tense despite the forced normalcy, funny enough she just noticed but Maki wasn’t around. Kirumi explained that Maki asked for her meal to be delivered to her, to which Kaede offered to do for her.
It took a bit of persistence on Kaede end, as the maid wasn’t someone to just hand the task but Kaede wanted to help out. Finally, Kirumi sighs and accepts the aid handing a tray of food to the pianist, noting that it did free up some time. Kaede smiled in triumph and stated that she will make sure it’s delivered safely. Quickly leaving the dining room with the tray, having to avoid Kokichi looking ready to pester her out of curiosity. Even the pianist didn’t understand why she insisted to take the meal to Maki. The Caregiver always seemed to avoid everyone and seemed even more distant ever since the lab opened.
After everything that happened she wanted to continue what she started, getting everyone to work together. As she walked to the Research Lab of the Childcare giver she shifts the tray into one arm thinking the teen will be inside. Though her eyes widened in slight surprise to see Maki outside the front standing guard. It seems like Maki REALLY didn’t want anyone getting in there, well Kaede wasn’t about to pry. It was within the others right if the other wanted to let others in the lab or not. But it can’t be healthy to close everyone off just to keep it so.
“Harukawa, Good day~” She piped, smiling brightly as she approached the other wth a tray likely this was a surprise. As the dark haired teen asked Kirumi to take up her food but Kaede hoped this wasn’t a huge problem. It gave an excuse for her to finally talk to the antisocial caregiver, “I volunteered to take up your food since Tojo was a bit busy, I hope that doesn’t bother you.”

Verses ~ Alternate Worlds
Note for people who haven’t finished the game, there are spoilers.
Verse 1 ~ Main Verse | Playing a Melody
Just any random interactions are untagged.
Verse 2 ~ InGame Verse | { V; Trapped like Rats Waiting to be slaughtered | Chapter 1 }
In this verse, everyone has just been forced to play the killing game and she’s trying to find a way to escape. She’s very optimistic and trying to help keep everyone’s spirits up but the stress is getting to her.
Verse 3 ~ Alternate Game Verse | { V; The Truth will Forever be Lost | Protagonist Kaede }
Very quickly she realized this game was rigged from the start as Shuichi was found guilty of a crime he didn’t commit. Having to watch him die for her own crime has sparked an indescribable hate for the mastermind. Keeping his hat as a momentum, letting it block her view after deciding to carry on his memories she does everything in her power to keep everyone alive. But will it even be enough to end this killing game...?
Verse 4 ~ Alternate Verse | { V; Welcome to Hope Peak Academy | HPA verse}
This is a verse for any interactions with DR1 & 2 characters, especially in the academy. It can be either Post DR3 or non-despair verse but Kaede is the Ultimate Pianist. She simply wants to make as many memories as possible during her time at the Academy. You can think of it as the Talent Development Plan verse in that sense.
Verse 5 ~ Pre-game | { V; Looking for a Reason to Live | Pregame Kaede }
Pre Game About
Verse 6 ~ Alternate Verse | { V; This is a New Hope’s Peak | Post DR3 }
This is pretty much Post DR3 with Makoto Naegi as the new headmaster of this new school which accepts students on a slightly different basis. Kaede is a new student that has applied to Hopes Peak Academy after being recommended by many famous spectators of her performance. She’s excited by this new turn of events and just like in verse 4 wishes to make tons of memories. Just now the cast of previous games are adults and some are dead.

@tsutantei
Kaede had been horrified and scared when everyone began to suspect Shuichi Saihara as soon as they learned the lack of intervals. She begged the detective to speak up but he had only looked at her with a pained expression, cause he KNEW. His hands clenched at his own chest as if he was terrified of speaking, this realization meant he wasn’t going to speak to her. So she confessed, instantly knowing that if she didn’t then they might pick him instead. Admitting to her crimes trying to explain in detail just how she murdered Rantarou, but her desperation made her stumble. It seemed too convenient that after everything the murderer would just admit everything.
There seemed to be a divide between the group as her own credibility had been crushed after failing a lie. Seeing his name on the board that one extra person had chosen Shuichi filled her with absolute dread. Her thoughts racing at the idea that she might have just caused all of her classmates to die because she didn’t confess earlier. As Monokuma laughed she closed her eyes waiting for him to shout that they had picked wrong... That wasn’t what happened.
“Puhuhu HAHAHAHA! You’re correct! The killer of this case is none other than the Ultimate Detective himself~! Who would have thunk it am I right?” The bear shouted the kubs looked incredibly confused apparently they didn’t expect this turn of events. Kaede felt her heart stop as her eyes stared in confused horror wondering if she heard right. Did they just say that Shuichi murdered Rantarou? But that was a lie, the mastermind should KNOW that was a lie!
“W-What the hell are you talking about!?” She screeched, tears began to fall from her eyes feeling the bears gaze on her. Likely he was laughing internally at the fact an innocent person was about to be killed for her sins. “You’re lying! Shuichi would never so this you know that!” She doesn’t know why he called him by first names, it slipped out when realized he was going to be executed in her place, but now she felt desperate and terrified. Her body ached as grief, confusion, and despair flooded her body as she runs over to the detective the moment they were allowed to do so.
Likely everyone thought she was just trying to protect him, after all, they had been together with each other since the game began. They had smiled and worked hard together but now they were going to be torn apart. Many only looked at them with sympathy while she grabbed Saihara almost protectively. Watching the damn bear tilt it’s head as if it had no idea what she was talking about when she called him a liar. If he thinks that she is going to let him murder her friend willingly then this mastermind has another thing coming.
#{ V; The Truth will Forever be Lost | Protagonist Kaede }#[ Um hello yes? I accidentally started writing for end of TRIAL uhhh ]#[ Just wanted to write this scene before we get some ghost!Saihara. I had too much fun. ]
