As for the question it honestly just depends on what I personally feel like doing. Originally the mystique arc was planned for much longer like mid season 4 (right after Courage) up until this point but because her and Morph are both seen at some point in the apocalypse arc at the end of season 4 I had to shorten it quite a bit. But it does really help having a set story and timeline in place and just like working on the side of it. It’s a fun little challenge to be like, ok so they are in these episodes with cameos in these ones I need to make sure what I have them do doesn’t interfere with the canon

When the news came out that Morph was now going to be nonbinary in Xmen 97, many people said "why did they do that?!" I don't know, man, maybe because it's so ironic to make a series about oppression and not have any queer characters.
