i havent caught a lot of the totk story yet but... all of it seems so contradictory to the actual zelda lore, or am i crazy? so like. if sonia and rauru founded hyrule and ganondorf already existed back then that's completely contradictory to him being born around the time ocarina of time takes place, where hyrule had already existed for a long time? also a lot of things in the game seem to be referencing skyward sword, but the premise of skyward sword is that hyrule was founded after the sky islands of the world sank to the ground, not when the zonai came from the sky to make contact with humans. and the zonai never were referenced anywhere in the zelda lore before so the idea that there was an ancient civilization that was more advanced than them is so out of the blue??

Hey you've probably been asked this before so I hope this isn't a bother, but is your comic Extinction officially cancelled? I really enjoyed it, it was probably my favorite webcomic I've ever read and I loved the dialogue and characters.

It makes me really happy that you enjoyed the comic and that it was your favorite!! Gosh It simply became unsustainable for me to maintain, juggling my irl studies, and the comic itself, as well as my free time and social life. Comic pages took a long time to finish, and my studies demanded more and more time from me most of which I spent drawing or writing for class, so for my free time I wanted to do other things in the end

Currently my focus is on other stories, though I still love Extinction to bits. I would definitely love to return to it someday and finish it or reboot it if necessary if my life stabilizes enough, but at the moment I can't dedicate so much time to it as I used to be able to

Somewhere around the north of Gensokyo a maquis corporation camp filled to the brim with outsiders who migrated and rescued from the outside world still in war placing the outsiders of the outside world in their camp offering them food, water, shelter in tents all while quarantining the females as this land is currently suffering from the outbreak which only infects the females. There is too many civilian outsiders who're suffering from loss, grief and injuries from the outside world. Medical care was needed for the situation as they try to calm and line the civilians up in order not only the tending of their wounds but also trying their best to help everyone else the best they can but as they continue to help and assist survivors of the outside world, out of nowhere a large bipedal dromaeosaur, no doubt a carnosaur genetically man made by maquis appeared leaping on top of a woman whose month's pregnant disembowling her stomach eating her baby while more of them showed up all along with the said carnosaur whose eating the now unborn infant as the mother watch in terror and despair in her eyes as they eat the rest of the woman, barely alive. Many of the carnosaur swarm in packs pouncing and killing many of the outsiders and the maquis corporation's soldiers overwhelming them in sheer number. They tried fighting back but their resistance against a whole horde of genetically modified deinonychus is futile and their survival is slim. The sanctuary is now a massive and very gruesome feeding ground full of carnosaurs tearing apart and dismembering every single survivor in the area from men, women and children none were spared.

As the catastrophe continues a few snipers from the watch tower trying their best to snipe down and eliminate as many of the carnosaurs as they can even trying their best protecting the survivors but the carnosaurs are too fast and agile for them to get a clear shot which lead to them missing a few shots and even accidentally killing both civilian and squad mates as the situation here is now dire and far beyond their control as a few of these carnosaurs climbed ontop of the towers sneaking behind the snipers killing them, things have begun to get far worse as big momma showed up into the scene. The tyrannosaurus Matriarch the one who asexually reproducing these creatures by the thousands joining her children for a midnight snack devouring and consuming a few survivors in a single powerful chomp many of the civilians along with few soldiers remaining alive try to evacuate the survivors but in the sanctuary no one gets in or out in what is now carnosaur territory as the rest of the pack hiding out through the shadows of the bushed emerged from the shadows and slaughter the last remaining survivors for the matriarch let out a roar through the night sky as her children not only have a great feast but also a new nesting ground to lay her eggs and reproduce more into the world. The carnosaurs stacked and pile the dead to one big pile of dead bodies for her and the rest of her children to feed for later. Despite their victory this is the only the beginning as the night has just begun. No one safe from both the virus and the carnosaurs they have made to defy nature, and now nature strikes back.

Japan was once a luxurious and cultural island country full of life and beautiful landmarks however as the erebus outbreak subsided and new outbreaks from viruses that evolved from the T-Erebus virus now emerging the entire country become now a land of monsters, the undead and ravenous bio organic weapons running amok where survivors continue to fight for their lives however there are things far worse than the undead and the monsters from the virus that have accelerate their evolutionary change.

Something far more ferocious that they are the top of the food chain in all across parts of tokyo. There now a thriving race of such nightmarish mutated hybrids, genetically modified monsters that adapted to the now harsh environment they've been unleashed too. These genetically modified monsters are no ordinary bio organic weapons for the beasts are dinosaurs that have been brought back to life and all of them either hybridized or genetically modified through the usage of the original t-Virus and chicken embryos along with the DNA of other modern day animals and the dinosaurs by none other than scientist Dr. Lykos who had acquired from the Third Energy Criticality Incident back in 2009 during the Kijuju Autonomous Zone Incident back in africa of the same year from his little project he calls the carnosaur project.

How are they have been released happen to be by accident as his most perfect creations killed him as an act of defiance thus letting the dinosaur mutants roam free through japan thus destroying everything all about the carnosaur project as the dinosaurs he created would die off, until the outbreak hit years later as the T-Erebus virus have made the dinosaurs adapt better and live longer and thrive. Becoming a menacing threat to the undead and other bio organic weapons however unlike the dinosaurs and hybridize dinosaur mutations there is another type of dinosaur mutation. One so horrifying and far more dangerous making the other dinosaurs and B.O.W.s. knew to stay away. One that is more disturbingly human and what appear to be Dr. Lykos's greatest creation, a new breed of post human.

A post human that is both dinosaur and man and one that will thrive and repopulate for years to come into the far future marking another dark chapter in human evolution and for mother nature to strike back against man playing god. Extinction is the thing of the past...

End-of-Splatoon thoughts.

Thinking about how since the very start, Splatoon has had a feature where players can draw and post artwork and spot them as graffiti on walls or billboards. Or how the weapons have always been paint brushes and rollers and ballpoint pens. Since its inception, Splatoon has been dedicated to engaging its players with the act of creation and creative expression, showing them how their art can build communities and (literally) change the world.

Thinking about finding golden human-made music discs buried underground for thousands of years, and a grand finale music festival. About the Voyager Golden Records. About those human handprints etched into concrete in Alterna. Did those human artists know it would end like this? First a fiery death and then, eventually, a worldwide celebration of music to represent our shared past, present, and future. Did they know that their songs, insignificant in the face of extinction, would one day become the solution that will save the next dominant life-form from the same fate?

Thinking about how eerily similar the Octarian domes are to Alterna. About how close Inklings and Octolings were to repeating the same mistakes as humans. But their doomed fates were undone not by some miracle technology or military power or a rocket, but by music.

Thinking about how humans wiped themselves out with war, and our parting gifts were liquid crystals that somehow paired with the DNA of primeval inklings and somehow infused them with our memories and culture and a Song. And 12,000 years in the future, that same Song will end a war.

Thinking about how art and music and punk culture and rock & roll and friendly competition and petty arguments and water guns aren’t uniquely human concepts, but the fundamental qualities of intelligent life. An inheritable spirit that can cross evolutionary bounds.

Thinking about the theme of Splatoon, that art and music and fun will not die with the human race. That every piece of art we create is a seed we sow for future generations to reap. That our legacy is ingrained into the crust of the earth. That long after we’re gone, the oceans will remember, and they’ll pick up where we left off.
