Ash had been about to pick up his coffee cup -- when he witnessed something moving right in front of him.

Well.

"Great, something followed us home." Or at least, it was his first assumption. "Look, I don't have time to deal with a haunting, go haunt Candace instead."

Usually, he didn’t make his presence known. After all, seeing ghosts could be very alarming for some. However, this particular person….Well, he felt a connection to them for a reason he could not quite place. 

As a result, he decided to leave little hints around that he was there, mainly small runes used at times for protection, a gift of sorts to show that he wasn’t hostile. Occasionally, he would move or shift things just a little, but never in their view, at least….Until this time.
