The day had been long and exhausting for all of the First Class SOLDIERs. The battles were long and arduous, the enemies becoming harder and harder to cut down. None of them were sure how long they could last in this war with Wutai.

If the battles didn't do them in then the stress, the fear and the overwhelming sense of guilt would. The knowledge that they were being weaponised against a nation of people who were innocent and merely defending their home against ShinRa was a sickening thought.

One that had plagued the minds of the younger three since they had met the very young Princess of Wutai.

Vincent was not as perturbed by the warfare or the bloodshed, simply by the nature of their prior occupations, but they could understand why the younger three struggled so much. They did not mind playing the role of the therapist, the parent or the pillow. All to allow these three some semblance of mental peace in such a horrible environment.

So when Sephiroth sat beside them as they read a book, they paid him no mind and merely lifted their arm for him so he could shift closer. He was soon wrapped in the gentle embrace of his father as the other read in silence through the dim candlelight.

Neither spoke and Vincent only acknowledged the other two joining them with a soft hum as they flipped their page. A few hours passed before they lifted their eyes from the words on their page, glancing about at the trio to see them all sleeping peacefully.

Angeal had come to settle on the floor, head pillowed against their thigh and one arm loosely wrapped around their shin.

Genesis was leaning against their left shoulder, head tilted back against it as he breathed deeply and evenly. The most even Vincent had seen in a while.

Then there was Sephiroth, who had gotten as close as physically possible. His arm wrapped firmly around their midsection and his face buried in their jumper as he slept soundly.

The sight made them smile, chuckle even, as they set their book aside to gently brush the errant hairs away from Sephiroth's forehead, gently adjust Genesis so he wouldn't wake up with a sore neck and pat the top of Angeal's head to not disturb him.

Satisfied the younger men were okay, they picked their book back up and continued from where they left off with their heart a little warmer than before.

So... I have completed this list for future use on my blog in case someone gets confused or needs to reference one of Vincent's 10 children during a thread/ask.

Keep in mind that any information provided below the cut is based on my headcanons and my interpretation of a HEAVILY Canon Divergent Vincent Valentine.

Do not use this information to bother other Muns (unless they are okay with you referencing them when talking about their muses). I will not tolerate it and I value other Muns and their creative takes on characters.

Even though he’s the eldest twin, he’s far less mature than Angeal and is often treated as the younger.
