——taking a small bite of her macaroon, she remained silent for a collection of seconds. she always enjoyed spending time in Violet’s presence; she was not only a good neighbor, but also a very good friend of hers. and she is very stylish, too, and she always appreciates that about someone. “I should start organizing my birthday party…” Honey mused, breaking the momentary silence that hung in the room. “every year I make the same mistake of thinking I have enough time, and it always turns out that I don’t. and I make the same mistake with my dress, too!” she concludes, laughing as she shook her head lightly. and this year, on top of everything, she won’t have the best friend there to celebrate with her, and she also has no idea what she wants to do, theme-wise. “am I too old to keep throwing parties?” she inquired, frowning a little at the intrusive thought; she is turning thirty-three, after all, and even if parties and celebrations don’t have an age, she feels she might be judged for this decision. but maybe she is just generally in a weird mood this year overall, so it projects itself in all aspects of her life, and thoughts. ——Honey hummed, nodding a little. “this does sound like a lovely idea, to be frank…” a part of her felt like something would be missing from her birthday celebrations since her best friend couldn’t come to her party, so perhaps she couldn’t have a quieter one, with good friends and close friends surrounding her; a themed party, of course, no doubt about that —there was still time to think about that before making a final decision though. “and you know, I feel bad that Neva wouldn’t be able to come,” she sighed, making a face; and then laugher fell from her lips. “I love the idea!” Honey exclaimed excitedly. “oh, Violet babes, you have the best ideas!” her birthday is sooner than Halloween, but still close enough to not make it weird if it was Halloween-themed. “Disney Villains,” she laughed, already thinking she could go as Cruella.

"No no, I am not commandeering this conversation! Besides, I don't want to do anything big for my birthday. Just spend time with the people I love. That's fine for me right now. You are the one we should be focusing on." It was strange, normally Violet would love to talk about herself and her birthday. But one; it would be pretty rude to Honey and two; she didn't really feel excited for her birthday. Easier to help her friend. "True but it's drinking cocktails and dancing to Dua Lipa, not fruit punch and the Jonas Brothers. "Ohh a Halloween theme could be so fun! Like have everyone come as their fave scary movie killer. Or a Final Girls! When you give a more specific theme, people tend to follow it better."

——Honey’s warm brown eyes winded a little at her friend’s words. “uhm, babes, sounds like I should be the one helping you, actually…” she responded, laughing a little; though she honestly appreciated Violet’s willingness to help her come up of a theme or a concept for her birthday party. “but it hasn’t?” another pearl of laughter fell from her lips. “it’s still the same; drink, dance, have fun, all the way thought the night,” and then, a beat. “but only when work isn’t demanding early morning attention.” to which she made a face —as much as she loves what she does, she doesn’t like it when she has to be up very early in the morning; she likes her beauty sleep. hearing Violet speak while enjoying her macaroon, she was impressed by them; she had never thought of a themed part around a hobby she would be interested in. “I was thinking Halloween, to be honest, because I never had one,” she admitted, scrunching up her face a little. “but yours are much more original,” a gentle smile adorned her lips. “but we need to plan your party, first!”

"Well you certainly have more time than me, my birthday's at the end of this month and as for what I'm doing, I have no idea. But I could probably help you think of something fabulous." Violet said, breaking a madeleine in half. Two heads were better than one, and Honey and herself were definitely similar in things they liked. Here they were enjoying french sweets in Violet's apartment, after all. "I don't think you're too old, there's no age limit on having fun. It's just the type of fun that changes. Maybe you could plan the theme around a place you have visited or want to. Oh, or maybe a goal you want to achieve! Like if you really want to get into a hobby, maybe have a paint party. I mean, no matter what, I'll be there."
