idk what happened when they were making the anime, but i have noticed that reiner has a lot more #emotional facial expressions in the manga, tears in his eyes and what not and i'm wondering if the showrunners wanted him to feel more stoic than he actually is.

idk it's sad because while his character becomes an emotional mess during the final season, he always was someone who felt what he felt regardless of his decisions and mental stability and his face didn't hide how he feels once the secret is out. i wish they included more scenes of paradis era reiner with tears :')

anyways words cannot stress how much i adore the reiner/annie/bertholdt trio, their character arcs, motivations and complexities are gonna SOOTHE me until the day i die. ( i say this while looking fondly at the keychains of them i have hanging on the wall near my bed )
