Rifle in her hands, she's looking at him with a scowl and demanding to know if his eyes had caught sight of whatever tore these men apart and there were plenty of beasts in these lands with the ability to do so. Tattered clothing and a pool of blood seeping into the tainted ground of Chaos' Kingdom - such a thing was hardly uncommon.

These fools had worshipped the wrong God and as such he wasn't about to step in when a wild Bandersnatch stepped onto the battlefield. At that point they were merely collateral damage. They had raised their arms towards the Wind and he had meant to meet them in kind.

It wasn't until the carnage was over that this woman appeared on the scene. Armed. Rifle in her hands... was she another fool chasing the bounty? She wouldn't see it from him so easily. Even if she was then it felt a little foolish to demand answers from him when her quarry would be standing just before her.

Blue eyes narrowed down on her as she demanded to know what happened.

"None of your concern. These fools only earned their comeuppance."

Both is good! We'll start with songs in no particular order:

Equlibrium (Sophia's theme) One of my first favorites! I used to listen to it so much I still remember most of the lyrics by heart haha.

A Long Fall (Twinning theme) I mean, who doesn't love the party dungeon song?

Unbreakable (Fractal Continuum theme) and by extension, Order yet undeciphered (Azys Lla theme). I'm cheating and putting these out together since Unbreakable has Order yet undeciphered's leitmotif in it.

Neath Dark Waters (Amaurot overworld theme) I'm weak for that leitmotif and this one is my favorite one of the different versions.

Last one uhhhhhhh Close in the Distance. Very closely tied with Flow Together, but this was the song I liked so much that I speedran Ultima Thule fates in like two days so I could have the song playing in our house.

Then, top 5 memories. Hmm, this'll require some thinking because my memory is swiss cheese and things just fall out of there if I rattle my head around too much.

First one that comes to mind is our first run of Gubal. Our group (whm, drg and dnc) rolls in with sprouts on and all of us in cutscene. When we got out of cutscene it turned out that the tank was also finnish and declared that she "must protecc" us after asking if we were all first timers. She proceeded to be one of the best tanks I've had a plesure to heal, gave us helpful tips about mechanics and /doted all of us before leaving.

This is gonna sound a little funny but Moonfire Faire. We started playing during the 2019 one, and while we never made it to the event itself (too low level, rip), the memory of seeing the fireworks on Gridania (both on sky and a group of peeps spamming the items next to conjurer's guild haha) while doing our very first quests left a very deep mark on me. I still get really nostalgic every time the fireworks come back~

Figuring out how to do Omega unsynced with only 3 people (so we can farm by ourselves). Mostly blind, we only looked at guides after hitting mechanics we could not figure out. Up until like the last runs we kept forgetting the Omega F knockback (too focused on random chatter), or the exploding debuffs. The 10+ runs we had to do to figure out timing for tank invulns when M & F start dashing around. One of us leveling tank just for that fight (and turns out they like tanking now lol), one having to finish leveling pld bc gnb shooting themselves did not go too well when you have to have hp for the tankbusters after the invuln ends.

Endwalker boss fate farming. Sitting there for hours, getting progressively more tired and unhinged with couple hundred other people as we were so sure that yeah next hour Chi or Daivadipa would spawn. Surely next hour. It's already been 8h over the spawn timer cooldown it MUST spawn soon... right? Right??

Baby's first on launch alliance raid, Puppet's Bunker! I was so nervous haha, first time patch day alliance raid on healer? Scawwyyy. We died soooooo much lol but it was such a blast. People figuring out you could shoot eachother with the lasers, the constant "ohhhhh so that's what that does" in chat, the collective "what the fuck yoko taro?" during second phase of last boss. Now my absolute favorite content in this game is doing alliance raids right after patch so all 24 of us can be equally confused about stuff and just chill dead on the ground together.

⋆୨𖤓୧⋆ He's being followed when he did not ask for company. Where is White Cloud? The fool has wandered off again and now he's gained another one. This is not his overly optimistic swordsman and he doesn't remember inviting the man to follow him. Still the Wind listens as he walks; scowl near permanently stitched into his features. He wouldn't find his Other in a place like this and the prince had likely wanders his way off to this town's bazaar in search of supplies and offensively sugary substance he could get his hands on.

There's is a deep groan at the thought.

This man however, continues to blather on and while he understands the sentiment of a warrior needing not fear death, there was still a certain aspect of respect that came with the concept of acknowledging the spiral. This fool probably had never even heard of such a thing.

Most hadn't.

Perhaps that is just something he inherited with his bloodline.

It matters not, he supposes - all would return to its flow whether they were aware of the spiral's flow or not.

There's no answer to the inquiry of who he is. Only narrowing ocean orbs as the man's left hand raises instead, only to stop level with just under his own shoulder.

"A man. This tall. Quite small. Dressed in white with several amethyst horns on his head. A swordsman. Have you seen anyone of this description?"

"Hmmmmmmmm....." He bobbed his head, either silently agreeing with the guys hasty assessment, or trying to consider the next step now that it appeared that he wasn't going to be handed a solution on a platter. NOT that he expected such a convenient delivery, but never could tell when the fates would decide an easy route was EARNED and deserved!

"Okay!" Whatever dreary reception he received, it didn't seem to affect him much at all! He shuffled after the stranger. Mostly because he was the first to actually breach the otherwise silent regard that he'd gathered from everyone else [everything else?], he wasn't exactly sure how to put it. Even though, technically, his comment COULD be considered just an afterthought spoken to the wind or something. Zack was going to interpret it in whatever way benefited him!

"I mean, I'm not the smartest tool in the box, you know what I mean? So---" He shrugged. "Wouldn't get far if you fear dying every two seconds. I ain't done yet." That was that.

"So, who are you? You often come sashaying in places with doom on your lips?" He grinned. "I knew someone like that once. Maybe not QUITE as grumpy."

last song i listened to: hmmmm I was listening to my "why can't music be as good as it was in my early 20's" playlist yesterday and I think it was something by the Foo Fighters. I was at a party last night with music on but I didn't really pay attention to it and recognized only like 2 songs anyway. the kids these days, I tell you.

last film i watched: I am mostly watching tv shows recently and few movies. Last movie I watched for fun, I think was the Guy Ritchie "King Arthur" movie, because I was watching a couple of things in my Netflix queue before cancelling my Netflix subscription. I also watched "Zone of Interest" for academic reasons last week, which. huh. what do you even say about that film.

currently reading: I have been stuck at the halfway point in Notorious Sorceror for ages, even though I like it so far. It's giving me V.E. Schwab with a dash of Liveship Traders. I think I'm reading it so slowly because it actually requires my attention span and I'm in the middle of a school semester and don't have one. In the meantime, I've started and finished This Is How You Lose the Time War (oh my god?????) and started Rebecca by Daphne du Maurier.

currently craving: Oddly nothing. Will probably eat the last of the leftover potato salad soon though.

currently watching: I am in season 7 of Supernatural, season 7 of X-Files, season 7 of 9-1-1, and approximately 5 episodes behind on the current campaign of Critical Role. I neeeeeed to catch up on CritRole real bad because I already know what's going on in recent episodes and I need! To see! My boi! (I should probably also get farther in Supernatural since I am now apparently writing fanfic for it.)

coffee or tea: Coffee. Black, strong, scalding hot, thanks. Oh,wait, I just made some. Yum.

'sorry, guys, can't make it to dinner tonight.' is the text he sends to his friends. it was the third time this he's declined going out with them, but it was fine. he's a little glad he doesn't actually have to get dressed, more than comfortable in just the boxers & loose shirt he was in.

he waits until he hears joon coming back, tilting his head back so he sees the other upside down. "hey. i was gonna tell you that even stained hands weren't gonna matter for tomorrow. we're doing a halloween-themed shoot & i'm getting 'blood' on me. how'd you know i had one, anyway?" he turns so that he can face him properly, resting his arms on the back of the couch. "i don't remember telling you about it."

Kumo gets cloudnapped way too often and Kaze doesn't like it. He's stressed. The man is stressed. Please stop stealing his Other. It's rude and it's very stressful. So people (Chaos) can't steal him if he keeps him close.

I like the theory that the reason Midori's paralogue only unlocks after Kaze survives chapter 15 of BR is that he and his spouse decided to celebrate him surviving his near-death experience by doing the deed a lot, to the point of (accidentally or otherwise) creating Midori; i just find it kinda funny.

You and Megumi weren't necessarily in a relationship.

You never bothered to put a title on whatever it was you two had.

Yet, you still took pride in being so close to him.

Megumi wasn't one for physical affection but he talked, alot. He talked about his ideals, his place in the world, everything.

For a third year in junior high, Megumi was as intelligent as they came.

However, even in his last days at Urami, he never stopped in his discipline towards delinquents.

"You'll text me, right?" You look up at Megumi, who's situated on a pile of bruised bodies. It's almost as if he's on his self-weaved throne. With tufts of onyx hair that upturns to the sky and pretty features that should instead, be befitted for royalty. "Can't just ghost me since you're going to some prestigious school." You point.

After a few seconds of looking at you from under his long lashes (which you were very much jealous of), he nods and gestures for you to sit next to him.

"I can't get up there Gumi, it's too damn high."

With an eye roll, he reaches towards you and hoists you up. You let out a soft giggle as your face brushes past his.

When you sit yourself on your seat, which you're sure is somebody's back, you hear several groans. With a sneer you shuffle around.

"Are you saying I weigh too much?" A collection of absolutely not's and of course not's causes you to let out a cackle.

"M' gonna miss this." You turn to Megumi who's already staring at you. He quickly diverts his gaze when he sees your eyebrow raise.

"Take a picture, Gumii," you sing. However, it wouldn't be an easy task, the boy simply had no clue how to operate a phone's basic feats.

"Shut up," he grunts, somehow reading your mind. "I do know how to use a phone."

"Yeah, cause I taught you." You state, uncrossing your hands to shove his shoulder. But before you can, he gently takes ahold of your hand and places it on his thigh.

Your chest expands with nervousness as he caresses the expanse of your skin with the pad of his thumb.

He shoots a glance your way and for a second, you catch his flushed cheeks that are painted in red.

"Can we stay like this for a while?" His voice trails off with a lilt of hesitance.

You compel the batting butterflies in your stomach to cease as you hum in affirmation, the warmth of his palm soothing your nerves.

"Of course. " You smile, eyes fluttering shut as you bathe in Megumi's serene presence and the sun's gaze.
