🌱 Favourite past time?

---Hard question, to which there isn't really any one answer, there?

Sparring is a habit more than a past time, but I do enjoy it when I have an opponent I don't have to be careful with.Believe it or not, Rogers doesn't fit that bill all the time. He may be strong enough, but his muscle density doesn't match up to that of a race that is comparative enough physically to Asgardians to have managed to be opponents and competitors for what was among the last of the Great Wars. Barnes does sometimes, if he makes smart use of his arm; and Stephen when is getting there when it comes to magic but.. for the most part unless I'm sparring with an Asgardian, their durability is comparatively something I have to be wary of. Which, can be a fun challenge in it's own some days too though, don't get me wrong.

That aside, there's a few. First is and probably always will be learning, or experiencing new things: and that doesn't just apply to books and the like, before you ask.

Having a phone again now, I've discovered I enjoy puzzle games (well most games really) surfing the internet is another.

Pretty things are nice. But seeing the changes in expression on the face of someone I care about when I make them something with any thought behind it is even better. (Yes this includes meals... which..)

I do also enjoy cooking, these days. The way food and spices have changed over the past thousand and a half years on earth is fun and interesting to me.

🐞 What's your favourite thing about where you live?

--- Oh my. The potential, I suppose. Earth and it's currently dominant species has a great deal of that! You're at this unique place in what's going to be your history; on a lot of levels: that many observers simply do not get to witness first hand. It's a painful process, especially as you make the mistakes necessary to get to being a whole people you can be entirely proud of, but; absolutely captivating to watch for all the passion you put behind even those. Disappointing at times yes, but definitely worth gritting one's teeth through the grimaces and wince-worthy portions for. Also, Red Bull.

🐌 What is a nice thing someone has done for you in the last week?

---Gerald --yes, I still refuse to call him Vision, if you read this Anthony-- recently made a go of making myself, Wanda and Barnes breakfast: regardless of his running track record in the kitchen. Sweet and determined thing that he is, our house bio-mechanoid spent a good six hours trying to get the eggs alone just right. They were perfectly fluffy but; well.. don't know how Buck managed to keep his face straight when he put them in his mouth. He'd mistaken sugar for salt again, and overdone that seasoning a bit. Before you ask, yes: I did eat them all regardless. Adding the Bacon to the scramble in bits helped but, Wanda seemed to be concerned for my health after, dear girl.

🐸What is something you are looking forward to?

---There are a few things but; focusing on something a little more positive? Probably Stephen stopping his squinty sort-of-angry pout in regards to what happened in Nepal. I understand it, I do but.. it has been months and I know very well he's smart enough to have figured everything out at this stage: especially after having followed my exoneration so closely in world and local media. Second would be our dear Jelly Bean's next science exhibit and exam results. Parker is incredibly fun to spend time of any sort with as is, but that sort is becoming a regular piece of joy to my days.

Also tacking down Banner's signal and bringing him home but that's another matter entirely.

🦉Whats the best think (*thing???) about nighttime

---I can do almost anything I want during the dark hours really. Testing how far, for how long and with what other limitations and perks my natural form comes with is a big one right now. I'm not entirely comfortable with it yet still, and definitely know next to nil about Frost Giants still between the lax and bias information available through Asgard and the former no trespassing decree that went with the old treaty: but I am most definitely working at getting there, first and at the least. This whole strange inner battery thing Lau explained has been interesting still to get a more refined control of; though I admit I've gained a great deal more fine control of it through our Ormr persona the last three or four years. The visual effect varies from pleasing to interesting me as well, and I wonder at it. Probably something I should ask him and Hvedrungr about sometime in the near future.

🌄Whats the best thing about daytime

---That's also difficult. The reverse of the initial answer above I suppose. Barring time zones it's when I am at my most social. I am not an early morning person without reason (in part because even I do have to sleep and) mostly because I do spend a lot of the dark hours at my most active. If the afternoons and night time is when I get the most done without interruption: then the rest of that day is mostly spent touching base with the others and if needed, adjusting plans accordingly.

🌳What's a sing (song??) that makes you happy

---Oh stars there are more of these than I can count. I love music, and both Centarans and Terrans have some of the most diverse music selections available and growing. It's difficult to pick without picking one from every genre; I simply cannot make up my mind on just one... so I'll name just a few.

---Not throttling my Thor (and sometimes Clayton's) when he slips back into the habits his father has pressed into him when interacting with me in any way, shape or form. (Twice today, so phrasing it like that yes.)

🐝Why is your favourite animal?

---I am going to assume that's supposed to be what is your favorite animal???? On Earth: definitely Platypus, Silkie Chickens, and Giraffes. Nature was high as a kite those days, clearly: and they amuse me to no end.

Also I feel obligated to mention that if CG animals count, I must agree with LiLi: Hei-Hei (from Moana) is life, and you can fight me on it.

Why I like them all fall to the same thing though; the absolute chaos and sense of humor in nature they represent in one way or another.

---No. And I am fully aware you probably do not count Red Bull, regardless of it actually containing water.

“sandali,” (wait a minute) iwaizumi used his spoon straw to push yours out from the bowl of halo halo as you were using the straw end, leaving you idiotically sucking on air through the straw before you completely registered what was happening.

you take your mouth of the straw and lightly hit him on the wrist as you whine, "bakit?" (why?)

a deep chuckle leaves his chest as he takes the spoon end of his utensil and starts stabbing the contents of the bowl, "babe, we haven't even mixed it yet-"

"i was taste testing it!" you argued back. all iwaizumi did in response was shake his head and click his tongue, continuing to mix up the bowl.

"you're always so particular about how we eat this," you huff, yet gave in and started helping him break up the toppings into the shaved ice dessert.

it was a hot summer day (arguably the best kind of day to eat halo halo), and you and iwaizumi decided to visit one of your favorite hole-in-the-wall destinations in the city. the owners were immigrants from the philippines, explaining why the resturaunt served the best filo food you've found in japan to date.

best of all, however, was that each summer the small restaurant brought back halo halo to their menu. and their halo halo had everything! what you and iwaizumi loved was that they didn't skimp on all the classic toppings–creamy ube ice cream, rich ube hilaya (jam), gulaman (gelatin), jackfruit, banana, and even crunchy corn flakes to finish it all off.

though your boyfriend's occupation as an athletic trainer meant he closely watched what he ate for the sake of being "healthy"... he could never deny getting a nostalgic taste of his childhood favorite whenever you suggested it during the summer months.

today–even though the owners had about four fans going in the room–it was so hot that the dessert was already starting to melt. getting impatient, you take a spoonful and quickly bring it to your mouth to avoid the evaporated milk from dripping on the establishment's table. (the sugar from the dessert is bound to leave the table sticky if any gets on it, and you wouldn't want to do that to the sweet lola (old lady) and lolo (old man) who ran the place.)

"hey! i wasn't done yet," iwaizumi protests, "you're gonna miss getting all the flavors in one bite, that's the point-"

you hold up a finger to shush him, closing your eyes savoring the taste you haven't had in months. he shuts up and lets you have your moment, but you notice a noticeable lack of clinking–almost as if your boyfriend isn't continuing on his usual halo-halo-eating ritual.

you crack one eye open to see him staring at you. not in a creepy way, but with a soft smile on his face. he had the look of admiration in his eyes... or maybe that was his sweat, you don't know. you open your other eye and tilt your head at him, amused.

"ano?" (what?) you tease, nudging his leg under the table with your foot, "haji, the halo halo's gonna melt, why aren't you eating?–"

"sarap?" (good?) he suddenly asks.

you go to reply "duh" but you're already eating another spoonful of halo halo so it just comes out in a hum, "mmrmh!"

he aimlessly digs his spoon into the dessert bowl a few more times, "y'know, i might just have to let you finish the whole thing-"

"HM? no way, we always share!" you go to prepare a spoonful with as many of the toppings as you can–the way you know he likes it–and hold it up to his face, your other hand underneath to prevent any from dripping on the table, "plus we already paid!"

like a toddler, he turns his face away, still glancing between the spoon and you, an annoying grin on his face.

"... sige!" (go on!) you were not about to let this bowl of heaven go to waste.

he guides your hand holding the spoon back to the bowl and nonchalantly shrugs, "i don't know why i always let you trick me into coming here, the amount of sugar in this is really bad for you-"

you groan at his health-talk, "but since when have you cared about that? it's lola and lolo's halo halo! it doesn't count."

then he laughs...

he's messing with you. now you can tell.

you don't know what he's trying to get at, but despite your frustration, you can't help but laugh a little with him (while eating that spoonful of halo halo for yourself, of course) because his eyes crinkle up as he smiles. the sound of his laugh makes you feel warm inside and you hope that by swallowing down another spoonful of frozen dessert your insides can cool down a bit from the sensation.

"yeah, well..." he starts, running a hand through his short hair, "also i think i could watch you finish this whole thing and i'd be satisfied."

"ano ba? (what the heck?) what are you even saying? did you get heatstroke?" you question before using the straw end of your utensil to sip some of the refreshing concoction in between you two. how could staring at you be better than eating halo halo? on a hot-ass day like this? you fear your boyfriend's gone mad from the heat.

almost as if he can hear your thoughts, he continues, "you look so happy every time you take a bite, you know that?"

you pause sipping from your straw, taken aback by the sudden comment.

he doesn't hesitate to add on, "sobrang ganda mo" (you're so pretty).

that's when you feel heat creep up onto your face, and hastily take another long sip from the cool halo halo, "d-don't be corny."

"i guess it's the nostalgia."

"you haven't even taken your first bite yet, you haven't even tasted-"

"mahal kita." (i love you)

"...... mahal din kita– kain na!" (i love you too– now eat!)

from that, he finally takes a bite of his own, and it's your turn to admire the lovely man that you somehow have the honor to have in your life.
