( 🌱 ) SHE'D BEEN HAVING one of her good days out of a week of discomfort and trouble being more mobile than she'd liked ; thus she decided to take the time to practice her archery when she was standing. the forest heat beat down on her yet she focused all her frustration she'd been feeling for the last few weeks into the shots she let loose from the quiver. magenta colored hues focusing on where the arrows pierce through ; one through the mid point of the head and the other just off to the side in the neck.

SHE DRAWS ANOTHER arrow to go again only to let the shot go and miss ; childe's appearance spooking her enough to distract her , causing her to turn quickly with wide eyes. who -- ?

SHE DOESN'T KNOW who this person is , already leading for her to be tense and untrusting -- especially when she takes note of its attire as well as the design of its vision : snezhnayian. though that little fact was the least of the dendric allogene's worries.

SHE'S TENSE AS she nocks an arrow , though the projectile remains ( for now at least ) pointed toward the ground. ❝ . . THANK YOU. A lot of things that don't concern a h - harbinger. what do you want . . ?    ❞ if it was to take her back to Him she wouldn't go without a fight.

ONE GLOVED HAND lifted to its forehead in a losing battle against Sumeru's oppressive heat. Even the water here was too hot, and the Harbinger once again cursed the defector it had been sent after. Not even a description. . . but soon enough, it would be on its way to Fontaine, and someone else could deal with this.

A familiar thunk of a sharp object through wood had it pausing, head tilting this way and that as it tried to pinpoint the sound. The noise drew it through vines and leaves that smacked at it, until it broke from the foliage in time to see a girl release an arrow at the target set some distance away.

There was no hiding its approach, so instead, it smiled and gave an impressed huff of laughter. "That was a nice shot."

Better than its own, at least, and certainly better than many of the trained Fatui.

OF course he is. the moment she mentioned that she'd taken a piece of her oh so troublesome power that sat behind lock and key thanks to the first descender she knew that it'd be a bit of a contention. luckily it'd be of little issue ; using a bit of excess was a good thing in the long term ( though it'd only press back the clock a week or more for the probable next eruption that would've been closing in anyway ) rather than negative.

EVEN IF IT didn't and caused one to happen earlier she would have chalked it as a win regardless. worth the trouble and discomfort of falling apart for a few days as much as kaeya may say otherwise. and she knew he would.

ah. the pause doesn't seem promising. stars what had she done.

SHE INITIALLY WORRIES that she's made a bad decision to do this at all when that beautiful eye of his glances away from her proposal. oh dear. the worry that she'd messed everything up begins to stir in the back of her mind but its quickly shelved. she had to do so ; the silence was beginning to get overwhelming even so. his reaction , even so small as his jaw slackened caused her own expression to falter a little bit even through her internal attempt to push away her worry.

❝ KAEYA --- ? ARE YOU ---- oh stars. ❞ golden hues widen a bit as the blunette practically collapses down to his knees as well , the celestial unsure whether to touch him or not ( is he alright ? he sounded stressed when he requested the moment . . he feels slightly warmer than usual --- that's probably not very -- ). her thoughts snap away back to him as his slightly elevated yet still chilled form curled up toward her , golden eyes flicking down to his head as it pressed against her shoulder.

HER LIPS PART , part - ways stunned as she couldn't recall him behaving in such a manner before ( that she'd been privy too or seen ) that had been triggered by something other than nightmares or panic attacks. which . . the signs weren't really there for both. her mouth closes after a moment , hand raising to gently find blue locks and card through them.

❝ BREATHE. IT'S . . IT'S okay. shh. just breathe for me. forget what i've said for now. take as long as you need , i'm here. ❞ she presses her nose into his hair , eyes lidded as her anxiety begun to bubble up again in her chest while she did her utmost to ground her Captain back down to teyvat.

Seeing Lumine grow flustered, Kaeya smiled in curious amusement as he quirked a brow while gazing at Lumine. He wasn’t sure if she was blushing from embarrassment, sheepishness, nervousness—or perhaps all three. If she really did buy this ring from Fontaine, then he’s going to have to try and get her to return it so they can at least haggle for a better price. However, when she assured him that she didn’t get this from some crook jeweler, he sighed softly in relief. Good. He wasn’t looking forward to pissing off another merchant for trying to negotiate prices far below their normal selling point.

Although, her stating that she inlaid her own light into the gems made him pause and his expression grow just a little confused, as well as worried. Wouldn’t doing something like that potentially weaken her, or stress her? Maybe even risk an eruption? At the very least she appeared to be fine and was in fact looking at him so tenderly and lovingly.

Her expression had him beginning to feel a bit flustered, himself, as he just stood in his spot, seemingly frozen. He felt his cheeks begin to darken and burn up once he noted her getting down on her knees, taking his hand and holding it between her own.

Once she laid it all out bare, his eye widened while his starry pupil dilated into a diamond, feeling his mouth go completely dry as his jaw—well, dropped. He stood there in silence for the longest time, taking in her words and processing them over and over again in his head. She’s—hold on.

She’s actually—?

He just had to open his big fat mouth.

Shakily, his free hand lifted itself and covered the lower half of his face as his brow stitched upwards and tanzanite eye glanced away, his face having gone completely red. Oh, Archons, this is—is she—what is—?

“H-hold on. Wait, wait—give—give me a moment,” he stammered out, his voice pitched higher in octaves as he struggled to wrap his head around everything. He felt as though his brain was melting out of his ears, unable to really stand on his own two feet anymore and instead crashing onto his own knees right before her. He curled up towards her, pressing his forehead against her shoulder as his frame trembled imperceptibly. “I—I need just a second, my love.”
