13. Unpopular opinion about XXX character?

I’ll do Sasuke, because fandom opinions about Sakura are so utterly unhinged (in wildly non-textual, completely contradictory ways) that I don’t even know what would count as “unpopular.”  

Anyway, my most unpopular opinion about Sasuke is not an unpopular opinion, it’s an unpopular fact, but I’m just gonna let that one lie, because even in an ask meme designed for the sowing of salt, there are some things that I just don’t have the energy to complain about. X) 

In lieu of that, I’ll say instead that I guess my unpopular opinion is that both Sasuke’s diehard haters and his diehard fans are equally disconnected from the fundamental purpose of the story.  Which is totally fine - it’s fandom, so if people prefer playing with whatever pieces of a story appeal to them and not engaging with it as a comprehensive whole, that’s fine; have fun; we’re all just here to enjoy ourselves.  But when we’re talking about reading the story as it was written and as it was intended to be read, both extremes of the Sasuke debate are missing the point.  

When it comes to his haters - when people watch this show without caring about Sasuke, without rooting for him, without hoping for him to get the closure he needs and surmount his pain and free himself from his chains and find his way back to the people who truly love him, then they’re not watching the story as it was meant to be read.  That is literally the premise of the entire manga/show.  The whole “we’ve gotta save the world from all these evil guys” stuff is just a vehicle for the real storyline, which is and always has been “will Team 7 be able to help Sasuke find his way out of the darkness?”  Watching this show while hoping that the answer to that question will be “no” is like...well, I don’t know what you would get out of it, I guess.  Rooting for Sasuke to reunite with his friends and finally be loved and cared for and healed is the beating heart at the center of this story, and if you hate him and think he doesn’t deserve that kind of resolution, then you’re not reading the story as it was written to be read.

At the same time, takes that are like “Sasuke did nothing wrong to anyone ever and has nothing to apologize for and his ‘friends’ are evil and he never should have gone back to them” miss the mark just as widely.  I understand that this attitude is probably just a reaction to the fact that the ending missed its landing so badly (yes, it IS completely ridiculous to write an ending where justice is never done and the whole Uchiha massacre/government cover-up is literally dropped like a hot potato; that is NOT the conclusion we were promised by this story’s previously developed themes and I do not accept it as believable canon), but to watch the story of Naruto unfold and legitimately desire an outcome where Sasuke doesn’t someday come home to rejoin a loving community of friends/surrogate family is like complaining that an author who wrote a book about a particular story didn’t instead choose to write a completely different book about a completely different story.  We ALWAYS knew Sasuke would come back to Team 7 eventually, because that’s what we were promised in the very first chapters of Part 1, when Kakashi teaches his students the sacredness of teamwork and lays the foundation for their friendship.  It has literally never been a secret that this story is going to be about the sundering and subsequent mending of Team 7′s bonds; we KNOW this story is supposed to be about the re-forging of these relationships; that is literally the entire point.  Loving Sasuke to the exclusion of everyone who is written as genuinely loving and caring about him is just as nonsensical as hating him and thinking he doesn’t deserve that kind of love in his life.  That’s not the story we’re being told; it never was.

-ginger snaps (the close relationship between a pair of misfit sisters is tested when one of them starts going through puberty, and also incidentally becomes a werewolf. similar vibes to jennifer's body although i personally prefer this one)

-penda’s fen (startlingly ahead of its time – it’s basically a coming-of-age story about a gay teenager in rural england with a tasty slice of religious/folk horror)

-crimson peak (love letter to the "gothic melodrama" genre)

Salty I don't know you that well so sorry if this is a basic ask, but how did you get into the SW fandom, and what are some of your other fandom loves? Or passions that you just love to talk about but maybe don't get to do that often on Tumblr?

Thank you so much for the ask, and sorry for the lengthy reply! To be quite honest, I tried my best not to get into the star wars fandom lol. (like a lot of people apparently) I grew up on the OT, but I didn't even consider that there would be a huge living fandom for Star Wars until the Sequels came out. My sister and I loved ep 7 when it first came out (and I think she was a kyluxer for a while, but we lived in different countries so she didn't share the details with me lol), but I avoided getting into it other than memes... I watched the Mandalorian with my dad last year and after the s2 finale I saw some DinLuke memes that I thought were funny, so I saved them so that I could show my sister. Except she still hadn't watched the Mandalorian by March this year... which was when I was cleaning out my phone and I found the bad boots joke and went "hmmm, I wonder if people actually shipped this, like seriously". I opened ao3 and was kind of shocked that the top fic by kudos had over 5k which is a pretty big audience (Yes, I'm talking about Separate Ways). I.... tripped and fell into the rabbit hole, so to speak. Suddenly I was writing fanfiction again and meeting amazing creators in this tiny crack pair fandom, and having a really good time tbh. So to all the dinluke shippers, thank you so much for making this experience a lot of fun! Let's pray we're still here after s3 lol

Other fandom loves? Hm. In sw I am actually not a strict shipper, and I enjoy most things (my new secret passion is Ashoka/Armorer, don't @ me). I did grow up with the biggest crush on Luke and Leia (yes, both), but nowadays Boba is becoming one of my favourite characters. I'm very hyped for his show! Outside of sw I love LOTR, it's kind of a timeless thing for me. I was in the YOI fandom, but it sort of lost its spark for me... I have a lot of fond memories form the fandom though. I've been a fan of BTS since 2015, I play Genshin Impact with my siblings more or less every day, and I'm secretly passionate about linguistics and global cuisines.

I love Matteo with all my heart but I don't really think David is the best character, I think Matteo is, I love druck but I feel like you guys put David in a pedestal he doesn't deserve, I mean his story gave me chills but it's not like he's the best even or something in my opinion and I don't feel like I know him that much, what do you think makes him the best character?

well, you’re entitled to your opinion (and it is nothing more than that) anon, but so am i. 

at the end of the day, no one really needs a reason to love a character or prefer them to other characters. i certainly don’t understand when people go crazy over the other even characters (except joana and og even), but whatever, no one needs to justify themselves to me, just because i don’t agree with their personal choices.

HOWEVER..... i do have my reasons, and even though i want you to understand that no one owes you a detailed explanation of why they love a character, i’m gonna give you one anyway, because i love talking about david lmao. 

a lot of people who agreed with my last post, interpreted it to mean that david is just a lot more likeable than even. that is totally fine by me, my blog is your oyster and all that. but what i was actually trying to say is that i really, really like even and when remakes create a character that is just like him - with maybe some different nuances that can mostly be attributed to the actor playing him -, im just like.... he’s cool, but he’s not even. a cool and well written even character already exists, so i really don’t need a bunch of new ones that will only leave me thinking that they’re not as good as the original. again, i really fail to see how niccolo and and eliott are in any way preferable to even, but like i said: when you connect with a character it just... happens, regardless of reason. 

i’ve made soo many posts about david and his storyline already (if you are genuinely interested: x x x x x), but the gist of it really is that druck took the bare bones and structure of season 3 and created an entirely different story, just because their characters are so different and they - most importantly - have different motivations, intentions and issues. that is especially true for david. 

now, i really don’t want to accuse anyone of anything, but i think an issue that david has, is that people expect him to be like even and when he turns out not to be like him, it throws people for a loop and they kind of end up... not getting him, because they don’t really make an effort to understand him. i’m not trying to brush off everyone who doesn’t like david with an “oh, you just don’t GET him” argument, because that is really not my style, i just want to mention it, because that’s actually how i first felt about david. 

the first talk between even and isak usually goes like this: the even character set his eye on the isak character a long time ago and when he finally gets the chance to talk to him, he goes all in. he pulls out all the stops, tries to be his most charming self and ends up being hopelessly extra. very good content 10/10.

personally, i was so set on that expectation that when i first saw the scene in druck, i ended up thinking that they were trying to replicate that and just kind of... failed at it. it seemed like david didn’t want to talk to matteo at all and that had me SO confused. looking back, i feel pretty damn stupid for thinking that, because obviously, david really didn’t want to talk to him. that’s the whole goddamn point!!! and looking back at that scene with a genuine understanding of who david is, makes it one of my favorite scenes ever. its just.. deeply hilarious how uncooperative david is in that conversation and how matteo just does not give a fuck at all, because he’s too busy physically turning into that james-corden-in-a-wedding-dress.jpg meme. 

okay so, case in point: i just went severely of the rails again, because there is so much to david that people don’t see, because they don’t give him a chance and on top of that, he is a completely new character, so there’s actually new stuff to analyze and get into. why does eliott talk to lucas at that bus stop? because he saw him on the first day of school and he’s been planning to talk to him ever since. why did niccolo talk to marti in that radio booth? because he saw him on the first day of school (idk if thats true actually, but he’s seen him before, that’s the point ok jkshfkjh) and he’s been planning to talk to him ever since. why did david follow matteo’s invitation? because they locked eyes in that corridor and david really meant to keep his distance, but when the cute guy with the sad blue eyes stops you and tells you that the abistreich meeting you planned to go to is totally not cool and asks you to have a smoke with him instead, just him: well then goddamn, one little chat with the guy won’t hurt, right?

the thing about not knowing him that much: that is something i have ALWAYS disagreed with and i’m pretty continuously salty about it on this blog. i have no god earthly clue why people think we don’t know him like other evens. we know what his hobbies are, we know his sense of humor, what his dreams are and we know his number one coping mechanism when it comes to trauma lmao. that’s therapist-level knowledge of a person. of course, there is more i want to know about him and there are plenty of stories he still has to tell and plenty of gaps to fill, but that really, really doesn’t mean that we don’t know him. also might i add... he and joana are the only evens who have a stable support system that is actually shown on-screen. showing joanas parents and davids sister laura actively supporting them is pretty important in establishing their characters as people who have a life outside of cris/matteo. we know that no matter what, they are loved and have support, even outside of their relationship.

tl:dr: if you don’t like david or don’t get the hype, that’s fine. if you never clicked with him, it is what it is. but here are the facts: david is the only male even who didn’t just copy the originals’ character traits, insecurities, motivations & habits, but instead has his own fully realized and different character arc. in my eyes, david is the most well-written remake-even, because, well.... someone actually had to put the effort in and write him.

SCENE 1

"I'm Home!" Andrea screamed when she entered the house, but no one seemed to respond to her so she assumed that no one is in the House but she was wrong because her brother is in the basement or known as the game room with his friends. she went to remove her shoes and kicked them to a random place, the right shoes went flying near the sofa and the left shoes went flying to a place where she doesn’t know where but in fact it's near to the fireplace, next one she threw her bag it went to the floor with a loud bang Lastly, she removed her jacket and threw it on the floor without grace. she laughed quietly because she is purposely trying to anger someone and she didn't know who is her unlucky victim.

Andrea is kind of a messy girl but she cleans up well when she wants to. that's what her brother is always stressing out he wants Andrea to be clean and have manners all the time but the young girl is always pissing her brother off by purposefully doing the things that he doesn't like. and she thinks doing that is comical she always calls alexander as a walking meme because he sometimes just have this face that makes her cackle especially when he is so serious.

Scene 2

Alexander is in the Gameroom with his friends, the usual spot for them from the Chae's mansion, they always meet up here no matter what the occasion is, they like chilling in the basement because everything they want is already in there and it's more convenient since they're not that interested in girls so the obvious spot is the Chae's Gameroom, but Andrea is always forgetting the fact that they're always in there and barely going out.

The boy's game room is always clean because of Ron as he doesn't want dirty places and people with no manners, they've established a rule that they always need to clean if they are going to be in the place where they would always go, even alexander is really picky when it comes to places.

The sound of the television could be heard in the gaming room but not outside, they've made sure that it should be soundproof because the seven of them is loud when they are having fun, the usual thing that is happening to the room is that Alexander is sleeping, Shaun and Sin is playing some video games while eating or mostly Sin eating like a glutton because that boy never seemed to be full like there is some black hole from his stomach. Daniel is always beside Shaun secretly adoring him like an older brother, he also likes to bite Shaun's arms like a chewing toy, the boy's find it cute and funny because he's like a baby who is teething and Shaun is his chew toy.

Daniel is the youngest in the group but he is more mature than you think. they call him the youngest but who looks like he is the eldest one. Edward just likes to cuddle Matthew while listening to some music. and right now he is on his emo mood. Matthew and Ron is contemplating what to eat and asking the boys about the food that they wanted. if they all talk it would be chaotic so Ron is controlling the noise by just asking from person to person "I want some ramyeon" sin told Ron right away, but Edward was quick to reply "Oh please ramyeon again" he said teasingly but purposely trying to get Sin to be pissed. "Ramyun is good, so what?" Sin replied without looking at him, Shaun just smiled at the two because they're like a kid. Ron shook his head and Matthew just gave them a smile showing his two dimples.

Andrea went to the kitchen after throwing her stuff somewhere in the house, she opened the fridge and she pulled out some yogurt, strawberries and blueberries, and the next thing she did she went to the cabinet and drawers to pull out some cutleries and bowl for the food that she got from the fridge. she set the bowl down on the counter first, then the cutleries. she took out the fruits outside of the container so she could wash it clean. she wiped her hands dry and she went to the counter she picked her phone along with her air pods and she put it on her ears, she clicked her favorite song titled "White love" this is mostly her most picked song along with "Stuck" and "White sugar" by MXBoys the song is just so emotional and beautiful.

Scene 3

As she was preparing the ingredients for her yummy yogurt she was singing using her falsetto voice. Andrea is a good singer but she doesn't like it when people can hear her singing so she is always secretly singing. but there's one person who can always hear her sing and he always admires her for it. as she is starting to transfer the yogurt to the bowl while still singing there is a two-person at her back sharing a smirk and soon a full-blown smile, the first person shook his head and the second person crossed his arms while leaning at the entrance of the kitchen. "I wanna love your heart" she beautifully belted loudly and she didn't know she's loud and she have some audience

she told him while still holding the knife to her right hand "What if i accidentally stab you?!" she panicked "then that's good you should point the knife to him Little D" Edward appeared from the entrance like a ghost and she noticed Daniel leaning at the doorframe while shaking his head smirking at her. she fully removed her air pods without turning off the music to her phone "MinMin!" she screamed and almost threw the knife but Ron was quick to get it away from her. she went running to Edward for a hug and he opened his arms for her "You're here!" she excitedly told him "Yes we are all here in the basement" Edward told her cheerfully.

Daniel silently scoffed at the two, while Ron is examining the kitchen "Andy I can't believe you did this and look at the living room" Ron scolded her and he went to the living room to pick up her mess "Andy if your brother saw this you are going to seriously get a punishment" Ron told her while picking the shoes that's near in the fireplace "I always do this but I never get in trouble?" she taunts at Ron "not this time andy, he is serious that he will do something if he saw you did this again" Ron told her seriously but she just shrugged

"That's right Andrea do that and you will see," Daniel told her now smiling "Of course Dany" she laughed at him "oh do you want to taste my yummy yogurt?" she told him cheerfully but he almost choked on his spit "Y-yeah I guess" he stuttered and she frowned at him "You guessed? come here" she went to pull him using his t-shirt and she picked up the spoon and dipped it in the bowl full of yummy yogurt she picked up some extra strawberry because she knows daniel likes strawberries, to be honest, this is not the first time that she did this to him she always make crazy but good food and daniel is always the first to taste it before everyone else.

She aligned the spoon to his mouth so he could eat it. "How is it? I liked this combination" she told him, but he just let out a lopsided grin at and a thumbs up. "what about you MingMing?" she asked Edward, but Edward shook his head, she went to Ron next and he shook his head too. she pouted "you don't like to try?" she asked them "We are craving for salty food right now Little D," Edward told her followed by Ron's nod. She just shrugged "At least someone likes it" she mumbled but daniel heard it and secretly smiled at her.

She didn't know that Daniel was looking at Edward and Ron to say 'No' to her yogurt because he doesn't want to share her food with them, luckily the two backed off because Edward seemed that he wants to have some. they know Daniel's messaged to them because it's not

the first time that they wanted to try Andrea's food but Daniel always tells them 'Don't’ they somehow know he likes her but he never admitted to them, even Alexander knew about his little crush on her sister, but he's not saying anything because he is not making a move and it looks harmless. Alexander knows that Andrea enjoys Daniel's company more than his. and Daniel knows his boundaries so he knows he wouldn't try anything to her.

"Where's Nunu, Honey, and Bebe?" she asked Daniel. he mentally rolled his eyes, because just a second ago she was smiling at him cutely

but right now she's asking another boy's name. and not just a name but a special nickname for them 'Honey and Bebe sounds like an endearment' He thought and scoffed in his head, he doesn't like it but he never intended to tell it to her because he knows she's going to be upset at him. "they're in the gaming room" he told her "Do you want to come?" he hopefully asked her

But she looked at Edward and Ron first, the two of them nodded at her and she smiled, she looked at Daniel "yes!" she answered, "I'll just clean this mess" she loudly replied so Ron would hear it clearly "You better" Ron replied to her teasingly. "We are going now" Edward told her " where?" she asked confused "to buy some food for the gluttons," he told her jokingly but Edward hits him in the butt "see you in a few Little D" Edward waved at her and they both left.

She still noticed some presence in the kitchen she saw him eating her yummy yogurt but she just scrunched her face at him and she went to poke the tip of his nose "Danygom! you are eating my goodies!" she whispered yelled at him but he choked from the small part of the blueberries. he continued coughing while she laughed at him "you look like an idiot" she handed some of her strawberries juice to him "Why do you talk like that you brat" he playfully told her "Talk like what?" she asked him confused 'You are sexually talking you silly girl' "nevermind you're always weird" she rolled her eyes at him "you're weird too" she replied

He laughed again "yes that's why we suit each other" she just replied by snorting and rolling her eyes, but to be honest she kind of felt some butterflies in her stomach. she continued picking up the pieces of stuff that she used while Daniel is still attacking her yummy yogurt "Danygom! don't eat all of it I want to eat that in the gaming room" she exclaimed" he just pouted and raised his two hands then he helped her clean the mess that she made.

Scene 4

Sin's screams could be heard from the gameroom, he was playing Resident Evil with Shaun, Shaun being His amazing self just let out a deep laugh

"Hey! that looks like alex!" Sin told them and he went to pick up a cusion on the floor to throw it to Alexander "Look! Lexi you're in the game!" but Alexander didn't budge from his position, Sin went to try again but this time he went to him and slapped the cusion in his face "Fucking hell!" Alexander cursed out loudly and Sin seemed to be pleased that he got a reaction "Shit Sin! that hurts" Alexander told him in disbelief "I was telling you you look like that zombie from the game" he cutely told Alexander, but after Sin let out that comment he went to pick up his slipper with a design of a sloth that Andrea gave him as a gift. he went to throw it to Sin but instead he accidentally aimed it at Shaun's head. Sin burst out laughing on the floor even alexander joined him but Shaun is just smiling cooly. Shaun is just like that he never seemed to be mad at them.

After a few minutes of laughing like hyena's they calmed down and went back from their old positions, Sin is screaming from time to time because the zombie just makes him jump, plus the added vibration from the controller scares him because that is the sign that he's bitten by the zombie. Alexander went back to take a nap again the love of his life, that's why Sin always calls him zombie, he's only awake if there's food.

Shaun tried to change the game because Sin is really noisy, he went to change it to Mario Cart just to avoid the noise from the room. "Why are they taking so long? where's Daniel?" Sin asked no one in particular "I'm really hungry" he added "You're always hungry!" Alexander replied without opening his eyes "Maybe Daniel went out with them" Shaun told him, and Sin just shrugged his broad shoulders but not after a few minutes he went to throw the controller on his side "I'm going up do you wan't something to drink?" Shaun shook his head telling him 'No'

He went to stand up to go upstairs but when he opened the door he was greeted with Andrea's face followed by Daniel's form, they were not expecting each other, Andrea is caught off guard by the sudden movement she went to stumble to Daniel But Daniel was quick to hold her up, even her yougurt almost dropped but Daniel saved it too, Daniel's left hand went to her waist to support her and his right hand is weent to hold the bowl with the yogurt. Daniel seemed shocked but only for a second because he became more aware of andrea because her body flatly bumped into him and he felt her curvs and toned body, he thought that it felt good but Andrea is flustered by the sudden contact, his hand feels so hot from the thin material of her thin hoodie "Are you okay?" he lowly whispered to her "a-ah y-yeah" she replied blushing but Daniel didn't see it only Sin saw her and he scoffed at her "Nevermind he's here" he went back quickly to Shaun's side. "Can you hold this for a second?" She asked Daniel to hold the yogurt for her and he just nodded.

Andrea quickly jumped to his brother's side, she went to roughly shake him "Hey Zizi! You're here!" she happily told him but Alexander pushed her slightly, but to her it's not a slight push she went stumbling to the floor, that woke him up to laugh at her "Zizi! that hurts!" she complained to him "You look like an idiot" he told her still laughing but she went to grab the pillow from the floor that Sin tried using earlier to wake him up. she went to hit him again. And Shaun quickly offered her a sit next to him but before that he asked Sin and Daniel to move left becuase he was sitting from the right, she quickly agreed Shaun greeted her with a fist bump and they started talking about sports mostly about his swimming and her basketball.

The two person from the left side is sulking because they are excluded from their conversation, even the yummy yogurt andrea made is long forgotten on Daniel's hand, Sin scoffed while playing alone "Hey i thought we are playing?" she slightly slapped Shaun's arm and he went to look at Andrea as if telling her 'Stop talking to him he's mine' Andrea looked at him and she got his message, she cut off their conversation right away.

Andrea and Sin's relationship has always been rocky, Sin is not really fond of Andrea because she know something about him that the members doesn't know about. Andrea tried to be friends with him but she doesn't know how because he is always hostile, Sin is scared that andrea is going to tell someone about him that's why he is always hostile to her, but sometimes he feels bad about it, but he didn't change on how he treated her.

There's this one time when Andrea and Shaun were in the pool because Shaun wanted to help Andrea about her Aquaphobia, and only Shaun is the only capabale one from all of them because he is in the swim team, Sin was observing them and he noticed Andrea's action towards Shaun, and he didn't like it because she's having a crush from the person he liked for a long time, he wouldn't allow that to happen.

Sin confronted andrea a week later about it because Shaun keeps on trying to help Andrea about her Aquaphobia and Sin is not having it anymore, and since that day Sin made Andrea promised not to tell her feelings to him, and Andrea knew from that day he have a feelings towards Shaun and she understood it, but Sin still doesn't like her. he's still giving her glares and scoffs here and there when he noticed she's looking or trying to look for shaun He would ask her 'Why are you talking about Shaun again?' and she learned not to do it if Sin is around her.

She went to move to Daniel's side, and Daniel asked Sin and Shaun to move right because she's going to be sitting beside him "You forgot your yogurt" he told her right away, and she just pouted and she took the bowl from him and she went to sit beside him "Do you still want to share it with me?" she asked shyly "of course" he answered her right away and she smiled showing her two dimples. She scooped a spoonful of her yummy yogurt for her and ate it. Daniel was looking at her every move 'Why do you keep coming into my eye?' he though silently 'I feel jealous when you're looking at someone other than me' he added to his though, she just really looks perfect even if she's not doing anything.

She looked at him and she gave him an adorable smile, she went to stand up and adjusted her position when she went back seated, she twisted her body more towards him, and he adjusted himself so it would be easy to feed him some yummy yogurt, her knee is almost on his lap and he went to rest his arm at the back of the couch aligning to her shoulder. She went to pick some yogurt and piece of strawberries, he's obeserving her movements as she aligned the spoon to his mouth so he could have some and he raised his left eyebrow at her as if asking 'Are you going to feed me?' she rolled her eyes at him and she grabbed his jaw and squeezed it to open his mouth and she shoved spooful of yogurt and strawberries to him she laughed a little and she went to pick another spoon for her 'Why are you doing this to me?' he mentally told himself 'We are not anything but what is this?'

They continued eating the yummy yogurt by taking turns because they're only using one spoon, the remaining three people in the room actually noticed them but they didn't say anything else about the position they're in, even Alexander is looking at them with more interest, Shaun and Sin is glancing at them from time to time. Shaun went to look at Alexander and he noticed his look, he just went to shrugged while propping his hand to his cheek telling Shaun to let them have their fun.

Alexander is not the type of a person who would stop someone from liking the person even if he doesn't like them, he would just let them be as long as he's not getting bothered by them, but for her sisters case, he's trusting Daniel that he wouldn't hurt her sister, for goodness sake that boy is so whipped from her, even from the start.

I think this meme I made summaries perfectly Jay's entire love life, because she can't stop herself from developing a crush on every single blonde guy she meets and most of these boys have no interest in dating her whatsoever. It's a real problem for her, especially since she constantly risks to have her judgement clouded by it even if she is well aware of that. Everyone knows about it and became even more evident when Jay started acting strange towards Edmund Quincy ( belongs to @hey-jacob-its-me ), with whom she has a strong salty rivalry, just because someone turned his hair blonde for fun by using colovaria: the two of them faced the most awkward and long hours of their lives that day. In fact, even though she might hate that person, Jay will unfortunately end up feeling attracted by them anyway.

The only thing that stops her from pursuing a romantic interest in these boys is for these same boys to be already in an happy and healthy relationship or not being interested in dating in the first place: Jay would never put herself between two people who love each other or force someone to date her, never.

As you can imagine, Jay is currently crushing over a lot of guys at the same time, but she indeed has someone towards which she is feeling even more interested day after day: I'm talking about Cillian Casement ( belongs to @iri-lynx ). They're both in the Theatre Club, so they hangout a lot "as friends", because that's how Cillian's see their relationship, even if Jay's never had any problem acting flirtatious towards him in any place and at any time: everyone knows she is trying really hard to get his attention, but Cillian is just too pure and naive to get what's going on.

27. How do they change throughout their school years?

( This is going to be really hard to answer because I'd like not to spoiler the "Arc" I'm working on for Jay. Fortunately most of it should be settled after her school years, so there shouldn't be problems... )

Jay started attending Hogwarts like a really "chill out" kid despite having nearly died in her animagus form by the hand of an hunter: that experience, not by any chance, scarred her both physically and mentally making it difficult for her to trust even in those most close to her. Even if most of her childhood friends are sorted in other houses, like Logan ( belongs to @phyl-the-gryffinclaw ), she has no problems keeping herself in contact with them and befriend new people at the same time, mostly from Slytherin like Lyx ( belongs @jadeowl19 ).

Jay was already a sort of "child prodigy", especially when it came to Transfiguration and Charms, but started building a strong reputation only after her third year, when she started manifesting that vindictive and competitive side of her the most: as I said in another post, she is at the same time a "bully" and a "hero", since she feels no remorse while punishing people who dared to step in her way or annoy someone she cares about. These are also the years in which she started attending the Theatre Club and met the kids from Beauxbaton.

Under Slughorn suggestion, Jay was chosen to be Prefect of the house of Slytherin due to her grades and strong personality, despite she was known for testing a lot of new spells and curses on those she didn't like just for fun: cause of this, she "had" to develop a more mature and responsible attitude in order to put all those troublemakers from her house in line. Another one she has to care about during these years is, of course, her little brother, who, as the "lazy butt" he is, prefers to avoid confrontations and have his own sister deal with all his messes.

Everything changed on a fateful DADA lesson, when, despite her cousin's advices, she decided to face her greatest fear under the form of a boggart, failing miserably and humiliating her own self in front of the entire class. Never wanting to have to deal with a situation like that again, Jay decided to persevere in her research for ultimate knowledge and magic: the only two things that, in her opinion, would've finally guaranteed her the protection she was seeking. Unfortunately, this made her grow colder towards people, closer to her or not, day after day, spending most of her time reading and looking for new forms of magic in the library and testing them in secret. Whenever asked by a friend or a member of her own family if something wasn't right or why she was avoiding them, Jay would deny it and lie to them... But something was wrong... Something was definitely wrong...

About Finn, he actually isn't going to change that much throughout those years of school, if we don't count the physical changes due to growth spurt. The only thing that he is going to learn is not to avoid responsibilities cause of laziness by relying on your older sister: Finn is going to challenge his own self more often and try to participate a little more the school activities cause of this.

Ok, so that meme actually reminded me of some SHIT that happened a couple months ago that sorta fucked with me.

So, I was at one of my niggas houses with 2 outta 3 things in this picture, so we boolin, bustin down lines, shit was all gravy. Mind you, I broke my 7 month sobriety, but I was drinking tequila and modelo since 3 p.m so hey, I deserved a pick me up since we planned on hitting the bar. So we get dressed, rolled out with his baby mama, Pa, one of Pa's niggas who plugged us and we headed out.

Now, I deadass don't remember MUCH besides rolling with him, drinking more tequila, playing volleyball, knocking an old white man's hat off.....and oh yea, I ran into my ex's abusive ex boyfriend who.....I feel a certain type of way (ok, I'll admit there is a bias bc she chose him over me, time and time again, but dude is the epitome of human garbage who fucks high school girls) about him already since he's emotionally/physically abusive, but especially salty since me and her broke it off to see him again. Alright whatever, my nigga rolls up to him and asking him if he had powder, low and behold he did and charged us out the ass for it, so we go outside and bust down a couple lines. We try to go back in but we got kicked out, according to my homegirl, for "selling drugs", rich ironically that mf was able to go back in.

Alright, we duck out, did a couple more, and I'm feeling a certain type of way....like a type of rage I never felt before. I told dude "Aye fuck that nigga *insert fuckbois name*, let's beat his ass, get our money back and whatever else he has" and since my nigga about that life "shiiiit, you read my mind homie let's go." Right as we were heading back, boom, cops pulled us over, took my nigga, searched him having like 4-5 cops on his ass while I was there, INSTANTLY sober, they asked my name, make up some bs about looking for his baby mama, they let me go but arrested my nigga for possession and public intoxication. Found that nigga Pa and told him his son got arrested and he just continued talking to women, so my niggas sister picked me up and fell asleep at his parents house.

On the walk home, I was just thinking how fucked everything went last night, until I realized that maybe, just maybe that was a blessing in disguise in the sense of....ok, I was more fucked off than he was since I'm a lightweight, plusbI really was gonna beat a niggas ass over some insecurities I was facing within myself (I mean, he does deserve it, yet not over some drugs/the emotional pain I was feeling), which is scary to think bc while I do dream about robbing niggas, I'd never do it/attack someone outta spite. If we did that.....well, karma is a mf in that kinda way. Either arrested, maybe shot, or it'd come back to me in some crazy ass way. Idk.

Normally, my repressed memories are jokes/faux deep thoughts I have on previous memories (this also surface level as well but get with it), but its funny how a (re)lapse in judgment reaffirmed my position on staying clean....from a certain alkaline stimulant that costs wayy too much. Imma just stick to weed and shrooms....maybe pop a molly here or there.
