ep 2 Thoughts:

sike there’s no thoughts i have retained like nothing from this ep???? i think that’s on me tho, i always have a harder time concentrating on shit when im watching it on my tv rather than my laptop. idk i think it’s an audio processing thing. i do wanna say that there was a lot of unnecessary shaky cam at the beginning (not in the ships, it was appropriate there, but in scenes where it was just them talking?? and uncomfortable close-ups too like.... take a step back my friend) which really annoyed me too. idk. just not wild about the direction there

i have literally nothing to say about the story lmao i need to rewatch this. like i love 13 and ryan is still My Son and also boy.... i hope that Arc Villain Tease is just a tease and they’re not the actual Big Bad of the season bc.. hmm.... nahh

ANYWAY U KNOW WHAT I DO HAVE THOUGHTS ON, THE NEW TARDIS DESIGN:

i don’t............ love it...

i just miss the multiple levels?? like, w/ 11 and 12′s tardises, they really felt like places, like real tangible places with corridors that led to the rest of the tardis. w/ this one (and 9/10′s), it’s all on one level so it just feels..... flat. it feels far more like a set than a place

also it’s just dark lmao?? turn on some more lights pls i can’t see shit

it just feels a bit sinister WHICH ISN’T BAD NECESSARILY i mean im here for spooky dr who and their spooky eldritch abomination of a spaceship but also like....... not the vibe they were selling us on in the promotional material???

like it just doesn’t feel v welcoming..... like it doesn’t really feel like a space u wanna just. live in. and relax in.

but i do love the crystals. again, more alien which is neat!! and i love how the interior matches her screwdriver, that’s cool
