,was tagged by @tysonjost to post 7 albums. i went with albums i’ve listened to the most in full, but there are several others that could be here based on “okay i listened to the first five songs of this on repeat for months” but i went Full Album only. inspired by jd i’m gonna talk a little about these, and include song recs!! that’s all under the cut.

hunter hayes (encore) by hunter hayes. oh so this is my sweet prince angel boy. idk how i found out about this album but i did and it’s FULL of incredible songs that make me feel soft and happy and sad and loving and all of the other emotions all at once!! song rec: rainy season 

melodrama by lorde. not to be like, basic, but GOD!!!!!! this album just changed the game for me. it’s one of the first albums where i really like, listened to the whole thing as a unit, and saw all the songs as pieces of the same larger story and i don’t know, it just really got to me. it released the summer before my senior year of high school and i felt Seen even though i didn’t necessarily have experiences that related to the songs. song rec: the louvre 

so sad so sexy by lykke li. the summer after i graduated from high school i got a job at a library on the other side of town, and had a like, 50 minute commute each way. i would listen to this album three times a day, once on the train to work, once whilst at work, and one last time on the way home. all of the songs flow together in a way where i kind of struggle to separate them from one another, but it makes for a very smooth listening experience imo. song rec: better alone

pink strat by bahamas. another one that is a very smooth listening experience. it’s great background music for just any occasion really, but i especially like it for reading. he has a very soothing voice, and i don’t know, sometimes you just want some chill guitar ballads!!! i found out about him through that dylan o’brien movie the first time, which i Highly recommend, and used to watch All The Time when i was in like 7th grade. song rec: til the morning

dream your life away by vance joy. hi hello this album is great i definitely thought i would have more to say about these but this is just a Solid album, i don’t think there’s a single song i’d wanna remove or change and it’s just *chef’s kiss*. also there r songs to feel soft about (from afar), and there are songs to lay and stare into the wall to (georgia)!!! song rec: all i ever wanted 

jag ångrar ingenting by lena philipsson. this was one of the first cd’s we had that was Mine. i must’ve been like six or seven, and i can just remember playing this, and the album that came before (det gör ont en stund på natten men inget på dan) on my phillips cd player. i still remember all of the words to all the songs, and whenever i listen to them i just feel content. song rec: det ringer på min dörr (SUCH a bop!!!!!!!!! one of my top feel-good-songs!!!)

rockferry by duffy. my parents bought this on a whim at like a gas station when i was a kid so for a while it was played a lot in the car, and then also at home. like the lena album, listening to this makes me feel content and at ease, and brings me back to being a kid. also, her voice is INSANE. pls make ur second album available on spotify again queen, i miss it. song rec: warwick avenue
