100 OC questions: for Heather, 1 5 7 22 27 33 38 44 52 67 74 89 90 99
WOW a lot!! im glad u wanna know so much about heather!!
1. What common traits do you share with your oc? What about them is the least like you?
we're both kind, queer, and we both admire our mothers. however heather is very close to her religion because she admires her parents so much who are devout. she's a little more modern with her beliefs tho. but even still, im definitely not religious at all so i cant rly relate to her in that sense haha
5. What is your oc’s patience like? When waiting for something, are they able to sit still or do they fidget? How do they fidget?
she's sooo patient. she's actually a pacifist so its hard for her to get into the "fighting" scene when she becomes apart of the group magically, but once she realizes she's mainly there for defense and assist she warms up to the battles. she doesnt fidget very much, if she's waiting for an appointment or on someone, she'll simply pull out a book from her bag and start reading. if she doesnt have a book she'll start thinking of her schedule for the next week and planning everything in her planner, or maybe even just reading wiki articles on her phone or playing bejeweled on her phone lol
7. Does your oc collect anything? What about of knowledge or facts? How big is their collection?
ive never really thought about this before, but i can see her collecting plants. she's one of those people that cherishes them and names them, talks to them, takes amazing care of them and can bring a dead plant back to life. it brings her peace knowing she's surrounded by breathing life and it makes her feel a little less lonely. she'd definitely know a lot about lots of different species of flora and various plant life out there. her room is definitely filled to the brim with greenery haha
22. How easily does your oc fare in the sun? Do they tan or burn easily? Are they completely unaffected?
if its super bad out i can see her tanning a bit, but she never burns. mostly she's unaffected. her hijab rly helps keep her face cool haha
27. What is your oc’s sleep schedule like? Are they a night owl, an early morning riser, or do they get any sleep at all?
early morning riser definitely! she wakes up at a whapping 7 am every day even the weekends and then anything past 10 pm is way past her bedtime haha
33. What five objects or things could be expected to be found on your oc’s person at any time? Why?
planner & pen, because she likes to keep a schedule
candy, because elise gets the munchies for something sweet
pepper spray because she knows no woman should be without one
wallet because i feel its obvious
a spare book to read in her spare time
phone and charger
house keys
travel sized Quran
i absolutely listed everything she normally carries in her bag on a day to day
38. What does your oc do to relax? Any specific activities? Why?
she loves to spend time in her garden! she's got a little section for her garden in her back yard where she grows fresh veggies and herbs. sometimes she'll talk to all her crop because she feels itll help them grow healthy and delicious if the plant feels loved. she also likes to read and sew!
44. How violent is your oc? Or are they more a pacifist? To what lengths will they go to start/avoid a conflict?
heather is 100% a pacifist as ive said previously, so she's generally the one always trying to keep the peace. she and csilla would be the ones avoiding personal conflict the most, but in battle csilla is more aggressive while heather is more docile and not willing to harm anyone because of her personal values and morals. she's a healer and the team shield, she's here to protect her friends and comrades. However, if it was for someone like elise, sinie, or daren, then heather would be more willing to face conflict head on. and honestly, the fact that she's a pacifist magical girl is such a fun concept to play with when you think about it because at some point, she's going to have to fight in some way. so finding the way she would "fight" is gonna be fun
52. In what ways does your oc cope with anger? How easily angered are they? Do they lash out?
heather is very docile and doesnt get angry often, however when she is she doesnt even need to tell you because all she needs to do is give you That Look. which is rly just a look of sadness and disappointment and u dont want that from heather. like personally, if heather ever told me she was disappointed in me i'd cry lmao
67. How many people does your oc prefer to be around? A crowd, a few friends, or all on their own?
heather is good in a crowd, but she does prefer to be around her own personal circle. her circle is definitely going to grow when csilla, agitha, urania, and eventually everett are added to the mix, which is something she's going to have to come to terms with that her personal circle is kind of a crowd. but she'll be content because its a crowd of people she cares about and fights for/with.
74. How would your oc act when drunk? What about when really, really tired?
oh man she'd be sooo lovey dovey with elise. texting elise like "where'd you go my love?" and elise is like babe im right next to you. heather has had way too much to drink but is always in when its time to take another shot. take a shot, choose ur chaser, kiss ur girlfriend. that is what heather would be like drunk haha
if she was very tired she would simply sleep. she does not fight sleep when she is tired, she feels zzzs and she is Out
89. What does your oc’s laugh sound like? How often do they laugh? Are they easily amused?
heather's laugh in my head sounds like a little melodic giggle. like...a soft hum or something. heather's voice is very soft and a little higher pitched, but her words are carried with grace and when she laughs its like a river. she laughs often too so its like music when she's around.
90. Does your oc have any objects they could never give up? Why is it so important to them? Do they have any family heirlooms?
idk if this counts, but her hijab maybe? like its soo important to her by this point in her life, but its not rly so much of an object...so im rly not sure haha but i cant rly think of any family heirlooms at the moment!
99. What is your oc’s morning routine usually like? What do they eat for breakfast (if they have breakfast)? What time do they usually get up in the morning?
she wakes up at 7 sharp every morning, washes her face, and makes breakfast. she usually eats veggies, a bit of eggs, and tea for breakfast on the weekdays, but on the weekends she spices it up with some adasi!

Danger First
Chapter 6
@pocketramblr another :)
.
Shouta trudged back to the staff break room. His counseling session with Midoriya had lasted a little over an hour, so while there were still teachers in the building, many of them had left. With the exception of semi-retired heroes like Recovery Girl, everyone working here had two full time jobs. Hizashi, despite his carefree air, had even more than that in the form of his radio show. Hizashi had probably left with the students.
But Hizashi wasn't either of the ones he wanted to talk to. Not today.
He opened the door. Three, no, four teachers were there, but Snipe didn't count, seeing as he was completely passed out on one of the couches with his gas mask half off. He must have had an early shift patrol today, poor sucker.
Nemuri was there, too, with most of her hero outfit on. She was applying her hero-grade makeup (water proof, resistant to three common contact poisons, and guaranteed not to react badly with mace).
More importantly, Kan and Yagi were both there, poring over papers on the same desk, no less. Shouta walked up to the table and looked down at sheets and sheets full of incomprehensible numbers.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
"We-"
'Don't tell him!" said Kan, urgently. "This is going to be my class's leg up on Aizawa this time around."
"Haha! Good one!" Yagi slapped Kan's back, and apparently even in his skeletal form he could pack a punch, because Kan had the air knocked out of him. Before he could recover, Yagi continued, "I'm making personalized nutrition plans for his class!"
"What?"
"One of my undergraduate degrees was in nutritional and health sciences, after all!"
Wow, there was a lot to unpack there, but Shouta was more than happy to leave it in its box. He had other fish to fry and topics to interrogate. Small talk requirement fulfilled, he moved on.
"How well do you know Midoriya?"
Yagi blinked and put down his pencil. "Moderately so? We met about this time last year and have been meeting regularly since then."
So, so much to unpack.
"Why?"
"Ah, he... impressed me, I suppose? He was involved in the bodysnatcher incident last year."
That was an understatement.
"He had a lot of heroic spirit!" continued Yagi. "But... not so much in the, ah, body category. I thought it would be a shame, a waste, really, if he wasn't able to pursue his dream, and a hero school prep course wasn't really in the cards for him, considering his quirk status and the timing... And I did have this degree..." He waved his hands vaguely at the table. "I just gave him a little help."
"What brought all this on, anyway?" asked Nemuri. "Midoriya is the little green haired kid, right? One of Chibiida's new friends?"
"If you keep calling him that, I won't be held responsible for when he snaps and attempts murder. But, yes, that's Midoriya."
"So...?"
"He told me I was the best teacher he'd ever had."
Nemuri started laughing.
"Oh," said Yagi. "I'm glad the two of you are getting along so well."
"I think he's pulling your leg, Shouta," said Nemuri, coming over to pat him on his shoulder. "Man, I didn't think a friend of Chibiida's would have it in him. Such youth!"
"I cannot even begin to tell you how much he wasn't."
Nemuri's laughter died off.
"Judging from some comments he made today," said Shouta, "not to mention the discrepancies between his record and his observed behavior in the classroom, I'd say he's been the target of severe quirkism in the past, particularly from his teachers. Did he ever mention anything like that to you?"
Yagi's face darkened and the mood in the room grew much more somber. "Not in so many words, no. However... some of his comments about his teachers disturbed me enough to bring it to the attention of the Musutafu Educational Services District, but as an unrelated stranger without concrete proof..."
("You can use the acronym, you know," muttered Vlad.)
"You're telling me they ignored the number one hero."
Yagi made a face. "I didn't go to them as All Might. Can you imagine the media frenzy if I did that? I didn't want to paint that kind of target on young Midoriya's back."
That was fair, actually. If largely-anonymous Shouta had enemies, All Might had ten times as many. Not to mention supposed fans.
"Other avenues of inquiry were also fruitless," said All Might, countenance darkening. "I asked some of my police colleagues, but they don't have full discretion over the direction of their investigations, and, again, if I were to use my weight to move them... It would get out, and people would wonder why I was so concerned with an apparently normal middle school."
"Did you try talking to Nezu about it?"
"No? Why?"
Shouta reminded himself that although Yagi was an alumnus, he was also very new as a teacher, and was as of yet unfamiliar with Nezu's more interesting traits.
"I'm going to," said Shouta, "and you're going to come with me." He turned to Kan. "Have you heard anything from Bakugo about quirk discrimination?"
"All I've heard from him are explosions, threats, and some kind of complex I don't have nearly enough psychiatric training to- They're from the same school," he realized.
"Yeah."
Kan pinched his brow. "So, the sweet shy kid you keep gushing about-" Both Shouta and Yagi attempted to reassure Kan they weren't gushing, "-and the demon brat are from the same school."
"That is what their records say," agreed Shouta. "Did you know, Yagi?"
"Oh, that they knew each other? Yes. Actually, I was rather under the impression they were childhood friends, as Midoriya ran out to help him during the bodysnatcher incident."
Shouta grunted. It was possible. He hadn't seen the two of them interact, at any rate.
"I'm going to Nezu with you," said Kan, standing up. "No matter what else this hell school did, they deserve to suffer for inflicting Bakugo Katsuki on me with those recommendations full of lies."
"Why don't you just expell him if he's that bad?"
"Because he's talented, hardworking, and hasn't actually broken any rules except for the swearing. He's just a pain I wasn't prepared to deal with and will probably contribute more to my hearing loss than Yamada by the end of the year."
"Wait, wait," said Yagi. "What exactly are you expecting Nezu to do in this situation?"
"Well," said Nemuri, who still hadn't left yet, "let's just say there's a reason hid name is 'god' in the staff group chat."
.
Terrible did not even begin to describe how Izuku felt when he woke up. His skin was static. His mouth was dry in a way that hurt. It felt like a siren was going off in his brain, and also like it was too quiet. He wanted to both run all the way to the school and hide in his closet.
This, of course, left him paralyzed in bed.
He hadn't felt remotely like this since the first time someone had left spider lilies on his desk at school. What was wrong with him?
No, that was the wrong question. All signs pointed to him having Danger Sense. He was in danger. And also immobile in bed.
With a great deal of effort, he turned to his bedside table and grabbed his phone. The clock in the corner read 4:42. Far too early to call anyone. And yet...
With shaky fingers, he navigated to Mr. Yagi's contact information and pressed dial. To Izuku's surprise, it only rang once.
"Young Midoriya? Is something wrong?"
The sound of his voice loosened the terrible knot under Izuku's breastbone. "I- May-maybe? I don't- I don't know, I think so."
There were sounds of movement on the other side of the line. "What happened?"
"I just- just woke up, and I- I think it's Danger Sense. It- Something bad is going to happen."
"I'm on my way. Is your mother with you?"
"N-no. She's at a- at a tech conference in Tokyo. She won't be back until- until tomorrow. Mr. Yagi, I don't- I don't think it's something here. I think it's later... at the school."
There was a pause. "My boy, are you quite sure?"
Izuku's laugh was just a little hysterical. "I mean, I'm- I'm pretty new to this, but..." he'd like to think his flight or fight reflex would have a more constructive response to am immediate threat. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have woken you up, I should have waited-"
"Nonsense! Forewarned is forearmed, and time is one of the most valuable resources a hero can have! I'm still picking you up, I'll just-" Mr. Yagi coughed, "-take the car instead."
"The car? You mean Hercules!?" The excitement was enough to free Izuku from his paralysis and propel him into a sitting position.
"Well, yes, but, my boy, how did you know? I don't think I've ever mentioned the name in my interviews..."
"But you did! In one of your American interviews. It was for a local station and you and Mr. Shield were on together."
"But those were in English."
"I know! When I found out about them, it really motivated me to work on my English! I think I could probably pass the Level Two fluency test..."
"Young Midoriya, have I ever told you how glad I am that you aren't a villain?"
.
"Hikage, did Danger Sense ever make you feel this bad?" asked Nana as Yoichi fussed in the background.
"Super Anxiety made me feel this bad all the time. Sometimes, it made me feel worse. I got used to it."
Nana let out a sigh of relief. It sucked to Ninth right now, but if it was normal for the quirk...
"That's good, then," said En. "Not for Ninth, obviously, but if that's just how the quirk works, he'll be able to figure it out. What did it usually mean, when you felt like this?"
"Generally, that someone was planning on killing me in the next few hours."
Dead(er than usual) silence.
"Ah," said En.
"You know," said Nana, "sometimes the kinds of lives we led slips my mind, but then the universe is always real happy to turn around and slap it back into me."
Yoichi started screeching.
.
"Do you feel any worse now that we're here?" asked Mr. Yagi after shutting Hercules down.
"Not really," said Izuku. He slumped down in his seat and looked away. "I'm sorry, I dragged you out of bed and this is probably just a stupid pointless meaningless panic attack..." He felt tears begin to prick at the edges of his eyes. He was so stupid. And selfish. All Might could be out helping people right now. Or taking care of himself (which, according to Recovery Girl's comments during their training sessions, he didn't do nearly enough of).
"Hey, hey, there's no need to cry, it's alright."
"Because you're here?" asked Izuku with a sniffle.
"Well, yes, but also, even if it was 'just' a panic attack, I'd still want to be here for you." He reached across the central console to pat Izuku on the shoulder. Then his face twisted into something rather sheepish. "But on the subject of panic attacks, something did occur to me on the way here."
Izuku looked back down at his knees. "What is it?"
"This is the anniversary of the day we met."
Izuku... had known that, actually. Waking up as he had had driven it from his mind, but the date was marked on his calendar. He'd even gotten All Might a gift, although he hadn't yet talked himself into being brave enough to give it to him, and with what happened today, it would most likely languish in his desk drawer for an indefinite period of time as the idea of giving it became progressively more awkward.
"My boy? I can't quite make out what you're saying. You're mumbling."
Izuku clapped his hands over his mouth. "Sorry."
"It's quite alright. I'm just an old man with hearing problems."
"You're not old! It's... I just- I just don't see how- how that's connected to this." He gestured at himself in all his vaguely-trembling glory.
"Young Midoriya... you almost died three separate times that day. That's traumatic. And sometimes anniversaries are... reminders."
"I only almost died once?"
"The first time with the sludge villain, grabbing on to my leg- and I don't think I ever apologized for telling you to let go, I was just so surprised- and then the sludge villain again."
"But I only almost died the first time..." He trailed off as Mr. Yagi gave him a look. He'd thought his mother was the only one who could give looks like that... "Do you really think this is connected to that?"
"I don't know," said Mr. Yagi. "Do you feel like it might be?"
"I don't know," said Izuku. He bent over and knotted his fingers in his hair.
"Do you think it might help to stay home today?"
"No!" yelped Izuku. "No," he repeated, trying to calm his racing heart.
"Alright, alright. Never fear, my boy." Mr. Yagi gave him another steadying shoulder pat. "In that case, let's go into this with the assumption that this is danger sense, and it is attempting to warn you of a real threat."
"Okay," said Izuku. He rubbed at his eyes. "What do we do first?"
Mr. Yagi tensed and looked up at the top floors of UA. "Well..."
.
"Hm!" said Nezu. "That is something of a conundrum! The extent of your quirk is unclear, and it is not properly registered, so we cannot go through the official routes we normally would for a warning given through a precognitive or clairvoyant quirk, even given that we are aware of One for All and the probable nature of Danger Sense."
Nezu knowing about One for All had been a bit of a surprise. In retrospect, maybe it shouldn't have been. All Might would have had to tell Nezu something so that Izuku was allowed on campus before he was really a student, and seeing as how All Might was originally teaching here to find a successor... well, it made sense. Izuku just wished he'd been told.
How many other people knew was a question for later, however.
"Your inexperience with the quirk and other circumstances further complicates the matter."
"Sorry," said Izuku.
"Whatever for? It isn't your fault." Nezu did not wait for an answer. "Then there is yesterday's incident to consider... You say you felt something with the reporters?"
"Y-yes, sir."
"Hm. Yes. Toshinori, I so believe you have a contact who could clear this up much more efficiently."
"I know," said Mr. Yagi. "He isn't picking up his phone."
"You don't think-?" started Izuku.
"No, no, he just hasn't been speaking to me lately."
"Oh? I was under the impression you had been communicating with him regularly since returning to Musutafu."
"He thought I would change my mind about something I didn't change my mind about, apparently. It doesn't matter. What else can we do?"
"A good number of things, luckily. Midoriya, I am going to make a series of phone calls. I would like you to tell me if the sensation you are experiencing changes at all while I make them."
"Yes, sir."
Nezu began methodically going through Izuku's list of teachers, warning them that something 'like yesterday' might happened and going over lesson plans and safety procedures. Nothing really changed. Until Nezu called Thirteen.
(Oh, gosh, they were going to go to the Unforeseen Simulation Joint on a field trip today? That was so cool!)
But after Nezu talked to Thirteen about checking safety systems, a little bit of the tension he'd been holding onto leaked away.
"Interesting," said Nezu. "Perhaps we should reschedule rescue training until-"
Izuku dove for Nezu's garbage bin.
"-or perhaps not," mused Nezu as Izuku expelled the meager contents of his stomach.
It was a good thing he hadn't eaten breakfast.
.
"Hikage," said Banjo. "I'm sorry for calling you a dead-eyed emotionally stunted bastard with a warped sense of humor if this is what you had to put up with all the time."
"You called me a dead-eyed emotionally stunted bastard?"
"Not to your face, but yes."
"Well. It isn't as if those things aren't all true..."
.
"I'm okay," said Izuku. "That just... felt bad."
"No cancelations in that case," said Nezu as Mr. Yagi hovered.
"Y-yeah. Oh gosh, now I know how Uraraka feels..."
"Perhaps you should stay home-"
"No! I can't! That would be..."
Nezu held up his hands- paws? "It was merely a suggestion. Can I offer you some tea?"
"Yes, please," said Izuku, voice catching uncomfortably on his raw throat.
"I do have a few more calls to make. Do you feel up to staying, or would you prefer to head down to Recovery Girl? Or perhaps even the cafeteria? I imagine you haven't eaten breakfast."
"I'd like to stay."
"Very well." Nezu picked up his phone again. Izuku could just make out the click on the other end when it was picked up. "Am I a mouse? A dog? A bear? One thing's for sure! I'm the principal!" There was laughter on the other end of the line. "No, not at all! I am in fact calling for you, Tensei. Or should I say, Ingenium? I'm aware this is last minute, and you were planning on taking the day off- How do I know? It was quite simple, really- but between the break-in yesterday and a tip I received this morning regarding a threat to the school, I would like a few more hands on deck than usual. Why, yes, you can stay with your brother's class. Do try not to tease Shouta too much. He has a reputation to maintain." After a few more pleasantries, Nezu hung up. "Midoriya?"
"I... think that's better? I'm sorry, it's hard to tell what could be the quirk and what's just me feeling bad."
Nezu nodded. "In that case, I do recommend that you head to Recovery Girl's office. My other calls will be similar, and the other heroes will not be with your class."
"Why not?" asked Mr. Yagi.
"Because Midoriya's reaction to the field trip being canceled suggests that the danger may not be limited to himself or his class. Oh! And one more thing. Midoriya, I noticed that you put in some costume alteration requests. Naturally, most of them will not be finished until some time next week, however, some of the support items you mentioned are fairly common. If you have time before the field trip, you should pay a visit to Power Loader."
.
Izuku hadn't expected it, but he did feel much better after eating, despite his continuing sense of impending doom. It was also about half an hour from the beginning of homeroom, so he had the time to go to the support department and check if they had anything he could take.
He hoped they had grappling hooks. Izuku had always wanted a grappling hook.
Mr. Yagi took him most of the way there, but students had started to arrive at this point, and Izuku convinced him to go prepare for classes (and hide in the staff area so that no one would wonder why he, a skeleton man not recognizable as a hero, was at the school). Before too long, Izuku stood in front of a rather sturdy-looking metal door. He hoped this was the right one.
He raised his hand to knock just as something crashed into him. Ah. This was it for sure. The way he would die. The danger he had foreseen.
No. Wait. Never mind. He was fine, just on the ground.
"Oh! There was a person there! You okay?"
"U-um," said Izuku, sitting up and rubbing his head. "I'm fine, just a little startled."
"What're you doing here, anyway?"
"I- I'm here for... support... gear?" He sort of trailed off as he looked up.
It was the intense pink haired girl from the other day. As he watched, her expression changed from one of mild concern to calculating interest.
"Support gear, you say?"
.
Shouta answered his phone as he walked down the hall. "Nezu, I've already done every security check I can think of that'll fit-"
"Not quite why I was calling, although I can see why you would think so. One of your students needs to be rescued from the support department."
Shouta changed direction without missing a beat. "It's Midoriya, isn't it?"
"Why, yes."
"Did you send him down there without warning him?"
"Yes, again. You know me so well!"
Shouta hung up.

10 Anti LO Asks
1. Persephone hasn’t finished a semester of school-wants to apply to law school. Makes sense right? Haha.
2. WHY is cerberus so generic?? and he's not even a greek breed (or any of the other dogs)?? like was it really that hard to google some greek breeds? they have some big intimidating dogs too, but i guess thats asking too much in her GREEK MYTH comic. also he doesn't even have three heads most of the time? that's his one defining trait besides being scary and still rachel fucked that up. it's so annoying she can't even be bothered to keep basic things correct while still claiming to be an expert.
3. ngl im happy rachel cut out the erotes. just off her depiction of eros she still has very bad ideas about LGBT+ representation (seriously the gay best friend trope post 2013? with eros being obsessed with a woman and the only hint he's bi being a cut scene? wow) so her trying to cover the god of homosexual love, the god who was made via the love of two men, or the deity of intersex/being non gender conforming would be more than awful. they deserve to not be in this heterosexual mess.
4. webtoons promote anyone other than LO and give them the massive marketing campaigns, financial backing, and extra resources and deals RS gets challenge (Impossible)
5. tbh i dont think the height difference is particularly bad (ive shipped couples with even more of a difference) i think it's more the combination of how young she is (and how the comic keeps bringing up its weird but then being like ok now forget about it??), her childish personality ,and the overemphasis on hades' power and experience over her that it becomes an issue. if she was a confident, sexually liberated 700 year old goddess who knew her worth the height difference wouldnt matter, IMHO.
6. see the romance in LO is off because rachel cannot help but make HxP the most powerful, desired, amazing etc characters in the whole story, yet at the same time wants us to pity them and feel like he "deserves" they each other to be happy because she insists they're the "real underdogs" like??? neither LO H or P have any disadvantages, flaws, or conflicts to make them not be together so rachel insisting they're this tragic romance is just like no?? they're just not acting like normal people??
7. All this talk about Hera entering a relationship with Echo really shows how blind Rachel must be to problems in the ships she sets up. As some one mentioned earlier, it’s a rehash of a boss lusting over a worker. But like, Hera also pretty often talks about how lowly she think of nymphs. So not only would she be with a worker, but a worker from a race she actively believes is below her. If this was like a commentary on how Hera isn’t actually that different from Zeus then that’d actually be really interesting, but if she did this, it would only be to girlboss Hera. What a mess
8. i've seen some defenders say "oh there's only critique of LO now that it's popular" like?? no there were people calling it out when it was on discover and rachel was just some tumblr nobody. critique has only picked up more and more over the years because its just that more known and the issues are only getting worse and piling up, not some hate over popularity? im sure there is some critique over that but most of the critiques has been here for /years/, not only in the last few months.
9. ive actually seen some lo stans defend the age gap AS the modern aspect because "age gap relationships are more common now" which 1) no theyre not, and 2) what 19 year old is hooking up with a 2000+ year old man?? like MAYBE if he was actually 45 like he's "mentally" supposed to be then ok MAYBE they have a point, but he's not?? hes literally supposed to be thousands of years older than her in every regard? like literally the argument makes no sense??
10. I feel like Persephone being older would actually be a much stronger point to the story than her being 19/20, and not just bc of the weird age gap. She could still have the same characterization and plot, but it would be better to aide in her frustration of being sheltered/desire to be taken seriously as a goddess and want her freedom, and to actually hammer home demeter's controlling ways, because as it stands now she just looks like an overdramatic, spoiled child with no perspective.

You know what? I'm gonna make my own neighbor Tord, AKA Todd (Wow so original I know. Well I'm just naming MY Todd "Todd" cause A: that's the most common name for the Tord neighbor, and B: That's the cannon name- He's canonically named "Todd")
SO MEEEEEEP MEEEP I'M RAMMING INTO YOUR TUMBLR DASH WITH MY OWN TODD-
So, I have to design him but I thought up of some design aspects and personality and such in the shower
So, My Todd's design would have some inspiration from @/binbunbaka and maybe @/noodle-eggs and @/the-masked-artist05 's Todd's, not heavily to the point it looks like I stole but some inspiration/aspects from their Todd's,
A rough idea for his design, and by rough idea is that it's the first draft version and I did not draw it, is he has a muscular-ish build, not nearly as buff as Mark, but much more muscle than Eduardo and Jon has, he'd have a red T-shirt maybe a button-up one (I just want his sleeves short because I want to SLIGHTLY go off of what the canon Todd was gonna be like, and in his Easter egg it looked like he had a t-shirt) and black pants, or dark grey, I'm thinking leggings, he'd have boots, maybe the ones you see on jungle adventurers, or knee-high ones BASED on those boots plus black fingerless gloves cause it fits the personality I gave him and because I said so. As for his hair, I kinda want it to be the same shade of hair Bin's or Noodle's Todd's hair is, he'd have his hair in a ponytail (Not the same hair style as Bin's Todd but I may or may not have yoinked the ponytail from the style from their Todd-) as for the rest of his hair I'm really unsure- But I'm thinking maybe hair-horns in the front like Tord's or hair-horns in the front like Tord's but this time pointing downwards to kinda mimic a demons horns as well, to counter Tord's upward ones, because according to a quick trip to google references demon horns CAN point downwards and Tord's hair horns do kinda look like a devils horns (At least in legacy and how some fanartists draw him) I can also see him with facial hair, kind of like future-Edd's but slightly longer so it hangs off his chin slightly, maybe also (Fake) tattoos (small hard to notice ones or ones hidden unless he undresses if I go that route though)
As to establish my Todd's personality he's not just a sweet kind soul (Don't get me wrong I love it when fan Todds are really sweet and kind, hell one of my favorite fan-Todd's that where not mine is like that *cough cough* Bin's Todd *cough* , but I myself just wanna go a different route on this) He's a bit more of a man of chaos, he is sweet (Ish) But he's much more of a sour patch kid (haha candy reference)- His personality roughly summed up into traits would be, smug mofo, chaos-causer, adventurous, and sweet (when he wants to be...)
For his relationship to the other neighbors:
.With Jon he'd see him as like a "Little sprog" (My Todd's Australian, because I don't want him to be full ass British and I thought it kinda fit my own Todd) and want to protect him, they have like a BROTP relationship kinda and Todd's a bit rough when it comes to hanging out but he tries to be a bit gentler when it comes to Jon
.He and Mark's relationship is currently TBA/TBD
.As for my Todd's and Eduardo's relationship, oh you thought Edu would be bullying Todd? Try the other way around Lamo, they have a weird-ish relationship, they don't want to punch each other in the face really but sometimes Eduardo would try and punch him or Jon and it ends up with Eduardo getting roundhouse kicked in the face or somth-
NOW FOR RANDOM TRIVA NOBODY ASKED FOR-
.He's not a people person (I'm not self-projecting you are-), he sees them as annoying bugs, he can tolerate and sometimes like living with and interacting with other people but only in small groups (2-6 more people to be specific) and he even has a flyswatter to swat people away
.He can't figure out a goddamn computer for the life of him- Stick him in a computer room and all you'll get is him standing there like :P, heck you'd get that dumb :P face if you stuck him in front of a TOY COMPUTER FOR FUGGIN T O D D L E R S
.He loves adventuring and exploring and a bit of a nature freak, and hates being coped up in the same place for too long, so he walks around the blocks a lot due to his love of fresh air, his equivalent to Tord leaving/reason leave would be to explore jungles or do "Naked and Afraid" (He actually HAS survived like Tarzan minus being raised by monkeys once in a jungle for a week) and he'd come back in "The End" but my Todd would return BEFORE Tord's robot rampage
.Instead of being a chatterbox like you think he'd be, my Todd counters (classic) Tord's rare talking/quietness by beinG LOUD AF the mofo's like a fugging foghorn, he even snores like one, he talks a bit more than Tord did as well, not to the point of chatterbox but he talks more, you could seriously be 8 whole ass rooms away and hear him talking- The man has NO inside voice, he's constantly left behind by the others at library's and other places that require you to be quiet-
.He despises anime, he finds it "cringy"
.He has never gone near any drugs or cigarettes or alcohol or anything, he really does not want that shit in his system, he's happy with his body and would rather stay healthy-
.He's gotten really strong from adventures he could accidently literally squish you by accident in a hug- (Could be worse- Could be MARK hugging you- Than you'd be atoms)
.He's more of a machete wielder than a gun wielder
.He likes roughhousing
.He once wrestled both an alligator and crocodile. at once. and somehow won-
-
Hoped you had fun reading about me making my own Todd- I'll probably do more of this guy in the future I like him

Kayano Kaede/Akari Yukimura is a character so full of wasted potential.
(Screencap taken from Manga Chapter 128)
This is probably the first manga panel that made me fall in love with Akari Yukimura. Look at her. She could have been amazing.
(If you feel like reading an essay of a textpost on the injustice she was dealt, feel free to click more.)
(I’m probably rehashing things i’ve said previously so if you know me you’ve probably read bits and pieces of this post before but I’m in a Mood and I just want to say them again.)
Kayano Kaede is a very interesting concept. However, she’s generally a forgettable character. This is because of the lack of anticipation and buildup for her character so no one really expects anything or gets attached to her, and her as an individual does not seem to hold much appeal.
Kayano’s character was poorly handled from the start, in my opinion. She was marketed as one of the main characters - the RGB trio, along with Nagisa and Karma. She was clearly slated for this role from the get go, which makes it even sadder because of the lack of groundwork and buildup there could have been. I would have preferred it if her backstory came about because of “shit, we forgot to give Kayano lines, let’s just slap tentacles on her and spin something insane out of it” because then you could explain the injustice.
(On the other hand, her two counterparts have pretty nicely-developed arcs that pretty much span the entire series but despite that, Kayano never gets the spotlight until the tail end of the narrative.)
This normally wouldn’t be a problem because many of the side characters in assclass are well-developed. Just to name a few, Sugino, Isogai, Nakamura - all not main characters, but over the course of the series we get a pretty good feel for their personality. We have fun with them and are invested in them.
Pre-reveal Kayano Kaede, on the other hand, is boring. Even if you think she isn’t, she is. The only character traits I can name off the top of my head are that she likes pudding and hates big boobs, which, what? She has possibly the longest wiki page out of everyone and yet has the least personality.
An argument for that is that Pre-reveal Kayano Kaede was an actress. She was meant to be incognito, to blend into the background until time comes to strike. So we can say she did her job well - too well, in fact, that to the audience she’s perfectly forgettable. Yeah, narrative wise, she did her job. But did it get us to like her? Not really.
By the time that Kayano gains some traction during her reveal at the tail end of the series - ergo by the time she becomes an interesting character, everyone has spent the previous 120 chapters/1 and a half seasons laughing along and liking the other characters. We have all gotten our favorites by then. Sure, Kayano still piques our interest, but there’s really no real time for everyone to get attached and have her as a “favorite” before she’s immediately overshadowed by her sister’s background story arc and the subsequent Save/Kill civil war.
I’ve seen posts where there were maybe a silhouette of a shadow of a tentacle in the background of what could have been 3 manga panels but let’s face it, this does not count as plot building or character development. It does not. There are no hints or throwaway lines you could reread and think “oooh damn”, no set-up, nothing. I don’t even think there was a callback to her being an exchange student/not being in Kunugigaoka prior to 3-E.
Kayano’s proximity to Aguri is also of issue. There’s interest drummed up about Aguri right from the start as the “mysterious woman” that Koro-sensei reminisces about. That does fill us with interest and satisfaction once the puzzle pieces connect (who doesn’t like solving a puzzle?) but there’s none of that for Kayano’s reveal. The fact that Kayano’s arc was intersped with Aguri’s admittedly more developed backstory arc also portrayed Kayano as more of a “stepping stone” to get to Aguri. To “add insult to injury”, Aguri’s just more of an interesting character than her. She’s got more personality, her character interactions with Koro-sensei and Yanagisawa/Shiro are interesting. Compared to her, Kayano’s just more forgettable.
The lasting impression most people get from Kayano is her status as a love-interest to Nagisa. Pre-reveal Kayano Kaede is a bland and boring character. Post-reveal Kayano Kaede (after her brief bout of insanity) defaults back to that same boring personality, and it is explained off by saying “Kayano realized how liberating it was to be a good person and adopted her nice personality throughout the year into her new one” or something along those lines. That’s boring! Her character doesn’t seem to gain any development from that experience. There’s no character trait that we can look towards to distinguish pre-reveal Kayano from the “new Kayano”, other the fact that she now has a crush on Nagisa. That label as Nagisa’s potential love-interest goes onto be carried post-canon and to the timeskip, and that’s the lasting impression of her.
(That adds to why a lot of people don’t like her, because 1. her crush on Nagisa seems out of place, 2. Nagisa’s already shipped with a lot of people by this time, and canon disrupting that doesn’t have the best reception.)
Kayano’s character brings the narrative full circle by giving us some closure to whatever happened to the first teacher of 3-E and provides reasonable incentive for Koro-sensei to bring up his backstory. She as an individual does not hold much appeal. She doesn’t have a standalone arc like Itona or Isogai or Sugino to solidify her character as an individual. She’s just used to bridge the gap between two much more important parts of the narrative, making her seem far more insignificant in comparison.
(Speaking of Itona, I think I would have liked to see her interacting with Yanagisawa/Shiro a little bit more. It’s one of the little things they could have built up on, I think. At that point Shiro had still been a rather interesting and mysterious character - Kayano’s reveal preceded Shiro’s by a tiny bit of time. They did interact in one or two scenes with ambiguous lines if I remember correctly - but they were working together despite a mutual hatred because of a common enemy. There was a really cool dynamic that I wish we saw more of.)
Pre-canon Kayano Kaede was honestly very interesting. From what little we saw of her, we know that she had her suspicions about Yanagisawa/Shiro from the start (I think they stated her dealings with unscrupulous people in the media industry gave her experience). She swore a pledge for revenge and stuck to it for a whole year, stole chemicals and injected them into the damn back of her neck, and I’m sure she probably didn’t even fully understood what they did at the time. We also know she broke Principal Asano’s laptop right in front of him to get into 3-E, and really, who else can boast about having the guts to do that? There’s so much you could get from her character from just knowing she did these things, and in the end post-reveal her didn’t do her justice, I think.
Wow, I’ve typed a lot, HAHA. This took me longer than I expected. Kayano is mt favorite female character in assclass apart from Irina, I think. To conclude, I love her.
(Disclaimer: I haven’t read or watched canon content in a long time. I’m going off the open wiki page and my leftover memory/impressions, so if I’m interpreting something based of inaccurate information, feel free to let me know.)

BTW SORRY FOR ANY OOC-NESS!!
Featuring: Best Boy Kirishima!
Sigh
As you sat on the couch in the common room you rested your chin on your palm, sighing for the 10th time this afternoon. You were beyond bored. It was one of the few break-days and yet nothing interesting was happening, you stared at your classmates, some of them were just chatting, conversations about training, the cooler heroes or about how much stronger they had gotten. Although you only heard ‘blah blah blah’ every time one of them opened their mouths.
“Hey (Y/N)!” However, you heard one person, and just hearing his voice made you smile as you perked up from your palm with a rosey red blush blossoming on your face.
“Hee… oh Kirishima, hey there dude.” You greeted him, adoring the way he grinned at you with those shark-like teeth of his. Which you actually found really endearing, and when he began talking to you, you felt yourself getting lost in his eyes as his words trailed off as you got distracted by his cherry red orbs. They might have been red, but they were some of the prettiest, sweetest pairs of eyes you had ever seen. Kirishima was an enthusiastic and energetic guy, and yet he was so gentle too, each trait was only some of the million reasons why you loved him.
“You know Kirishima… now that I get a good look at you… I rather like your pointy teeth. I always have in fact…” You suddenly said, pointing right at his mouth as he blinked a bit and nervously grinned, feeling oddly flattered as a smidge of pink tinted his cheeks.
“Oh ya do huh? Thanks! I’ve always been a little unsure about em ya know? Not everyone finds sharp teeth very approachable.” He admitted, since despite his personality, some people have found him a little intimidating once they got a look at his teeth. However, you weren’t put off by his teeth at all. If anything, you found them cool.
“Yeah… I wish I had your teeth.” He started to blush at how much you were complimenting him, he’d never really heard this much positivity about his teeth before. “I mean, if a villain were to show up, I’d just bare those pointy things and growl at them. And when I REALLY have to play dirty, I’ll sink em into their jugulars and tear a piece of their flesh off!” You suddenly exclaimed with a slightly crazed look in your eye that made Kirishima perk up and flinch a bit, now feeling slightly dejected since you wanted teeth like his for such brutal reasons.
“Ha… you know I never even considered using my teeth as a weapon before.” He pondered, even though he wasn’t the type to play dirty at all. It wasn’t really something he considered ‘manly’, although he wouldn’t judge you for that, and in a strange way, he considered you fairly manly in your own way and he respected the hell out of you for that. Even if you kinda scared him sometimes.
“You should. If it were me, I’d go ‘Brienne of Tarth’ on a villains’ ass and tear their fucking ear off!” You added, giving Kirishima a very vivid idea of what you meant as he nervously smiled. You reminded him of Bakugou in many ways, except you were a little bit nicer and not so angry like he was.
“Wow (Y/N) I definitely never want to get on your bad side.” He said nicely, and that’s what you loved about Kirishima. He never judged you, always said something nice about you even though you were weird and just a little bit of a trouble-maker most of the time. And he never avoided your or pushed you away no matter how many times you would tease him.
“You could never get on my bad side Kiri…” You said in a softer tone, contrasting with your energetic one you used seconds ago as you blushed upon admitting that and when you saw Kirishima’s contagious smile as his blush deepened. “Awww…”
Why couldn’t this boy see that you absolutely adored him? You wondered. You were sure that the teasing and the jockstrap you gave him should have made him wonder or think that maybe you had a thing for him despite the way you played around with him. It made you pout a little bit because you really wanted to get closer to Kirishima, hug him, kiss him and hug him again til he couldn’t breathe. And maybe slap him a little bit after because he made you feel this way and it was eating you up like some sort of disgusting lovey-dovey parasite. Every time he smiled at you; you would melt a little bit every single time.
You were a human infected with this parasite people call ‘love’, it felt so gross yet so wonderful, he was so wonderful…
It was driving you mad!
But you were so mad for him…
How you hated it!
And how you loved him…
A part of you wished that this could all just be some movie, where Kirishima would be the right guy for you, and you would be the best friend and then he would fall in love with you in the end. The two of you be happily ever after or however those crappy rom-coms ended, but if it meant finally being with Kirishima you would gladly let that all happen and just be with him for the rest of your life with that lovey-dovey song playing at the end credits.
Damn you had it bad…
But at that moment it hit you. All this talk about pointy teeth combined with your raging flurry of feelings for Kirishima and thinking about movies gave you a brilliant and somewhat evil idea just to get your beloved redhead closer to you and to get back at him too for giving you this crush. A devious smile spreading across your lips that Kirishima didn’t seem to think much of. Poor sweet boy, you thought.
“Hey you know what we should do? We should watch a movie together. All together as a class.” You suddenly proposed, which kind of surprised him but just the thought of spending time with the whole class made him grin wide.
“All together? That actually WOULD be a great idea! Yeah… it’s been so busy lately, I think we could use the break. I’m up for it (Y/N)!” He gave you an energetic thumbs-up, looking like he was pretty amped for the idea. Kirishima was always one for palling around with his classmates.
“Great! Cuz I had a GREAT idea for a movie…” You smiled happily when he agreed to the idea, clapping your hands excitedly, but then you made your claps nice and loud to catch everyone’s attention.
“Everyone~! Everyone! I have an announcement and a proposal!”
“(L/N)! As the class rep making announcements is my job.” Iida reminded you, but you paid him no mind.
“Shut up Iida!” You suddenly screeched at him, ignoring the shocked, indignant look on his face as well as some of the other shocked looks from your other classmates because of how loud you could be. Iida attempted to scold you, but you didn’t let him get a word in. “We’re too busy! I say we all take a break since we got the day off, and instead of training, let’s all watch a movie together!” You quickly took on a cheerful tone, which made only the smarter ones a little wary.
“And NO! You can’t back away from this, spend some time with us! Cuz if you don’t I’m gonna kick your butt!” You then declared somewhat angrily, and of course, only Bakugou challenged you.
“Tch, forget it you pathetic excuse for a glowstick!”
“You’re just jealous cuz my light shines brighter than yo’ weak-ass explosions.” You brushed that off, and you laughed and pointed when Kirishima and Kaminari held him back from trying to attack you for the 4th time today.
“Anyhoo… I’d better see you at movie night biatch~.” You smiled smugly at the growling teen, who WANTED to just blow you up but he knew Kirishima had a thing for you. This would be the only nice thing he’d do for him for a while…
Speaking of which, Kirishima looked pretty damn happy about the idea of a movie night with the class, “So (Y/N)… what kinda movie did ya have in plan?” He asked politely, the same question everyone else had been wondering since it was your idea.
However, the others noticed your smile quickly turning into a smirk. “Let’s watch a good old-fashioned horror flick tonight… I have this one REALLY good one that I’ve been meaning to bust out to show my best friends so… yeah…” That little suggestion made a few heads turn, and a few eyes widened which made your smirk widen, especially when you saw Kirishima’s nervous look.
“A horror movie…?”
“Yeah! Nothing says togetherness like watching a movie so scary you might piss yourself and cry your fucking eyes out…” You clasped your hands together, your smirk turning darker as most of your other classmates looked hesitant, save a few who looked interested.
“That could be fun! I love scary movies! They’re so exciting don’t you guys think?!” Hagakure, your partner-in-crime had excitedly agreed with you and backed up your decision. And if she was being honest, these movies were fun for her because her invisibility allowed her to indulge in a little fun when she would prank some people when they were scared out of their wits.
“I enjoy those kind of movies. They tend to have some interesting story-lines, so I’m okay with watching a horror movie.” Tsuyu said, despite her blank expression she was up for it.
“I agree. I would watch one of those.” Tokoyami was quick to agree with her since he was very much an avid horror movie fan, befitting how much of a goth he was. “You may or may not have seen the movie I have in mind before.” You pointed out, since if there’s one thing you and Tokoyami got along with it was your fondness for horror movies.
“Surprise me.” He almost challenged you, which just made your grin grow, especially when you saw the other looks on your classmates’ faces, especially poor sweet Izuku and your dear Kirishima…
“I’m in! I ain’t afraid of no scary movie!” Kaminari claimed, since scary movies didn’t exactly bother him as much as it did for others, but not many of his classmates looked like they believed him. “Me neither!” However, he started a bit of a trend when Mina shared his sentiments, and now many of them started to feel the need to prove their bravery, and to just see how ‘scary’ this movie was…
“H-Hey now! Look if anyone’s not a fan of scary movies then maybe… you guys don’t have to watch it.” Kirishima wanted to be nice though, and make sure no one felt pressured to watch the movie, even though you could just tell what his ulterior motive was: He didn’t like scary movies.
“Heh… let em watch it Kirishima, it’ll give them a lesson in bravery… I mean… what are you really playing at bro? Are you chicken?” You smirked and crossed your arms, satisfied when Kirishima flinched at such a very ‘unmanly’ accusation.
“No! I’m no chicken! I’m just giving them a choice that’s all!”
“It’s okay if you’re chicken, I mean Tokoyami’s the bird here but I guess we just didn’t notice you wearing your chicken hat until now. Though I guess your hair looks chicken-esque enough.” You said, sadistically smirking at the poor guy, whose face was turning as red as his hair.
“H-Hey! Don’t call my hair chicken! This is peer pressure! Come on that’s such an unmanly thing to do!”
“You’re just saying that cuz you’re a big, FAT, chicken!”
“(Y/N)! This is so not cool! Stop saying that!” Kirishima’s blush darkened as you didn’t stop your taunting.
“Chicken~.” You sang-songed, poking him on the forehead to add to your teasing, even when he backed away, “Stop it!”
“Chicken!” You didn’t stop, you were loving how embarrassed he was getting when you started to poke at his hair and even pull a strand out purely for the hell of it.
“OW! I’m NOT a chicken!!” He cringed as soon as he felt that little strand plucked out as he gave you a rare look of mild annoyance which looked beautiful with his flushed cheeks. You almost felt guilty for being so mean to him, but the tsundere in you was telling you that he deserved it for making you love him so much.
But the guilt was winning as you took it down a notch, “Okay Kiri… I believe you…” Your voice softened a bit, and Kirishima wasn’t sure whether to feel comfortable or nervous since he’s learned to predict how unpredictable you could be. It didn’t help when you put your hand on his shoulder, “I suppose you’re only a chicken if you can’t fight against villains like you have… so… okay… you’re not a chicken… and you don’t HAVE to watch the movie if you don’t want to… and I’ll just make fun of you in private to the girls in the locker room.” You sounded a little bit gentle, and you smiled when you saw Kirishima perk up a bit when you took back the ‘chicken’ insult, but instantly he pouted at the last thing you said.
You always did this. But it’s not like he hated it, he actually liked the attention you gave him and you were nice to him at times, which he really liked because it proved what he thought about you. That you were actually pretty cool and that you had a heart underneath all the jokes. But, he couldn’t quite let you win, or get away with calling him chicken.
“Heh. There won’t be any need for that, I’ll prove that I’m no chicken! Scary movies are nothing! I mean… a real man isn’t afraid of a little movie… I’m man enough to watch this!” He was up for this challenge, well… not really, but he’d prove that he could be manly and take a scary movie! It was just a movie! Nothing in them were real… and he knew it!
But you couldn’t help but smirk when he was finally on board, and disregarded the fact that a few of your other classmates… particularly Izuku, Uraraka, Kouda, Jirou and Mineta weren’t really on board. And Sero and Kaminari finally succeeded in getting Bakugou to very reluctantly agree just so they would stop bugging him.
“Perfection…” You resisted the urge to do a ‘villain laugh’ as soon as it was all set in stone for tonight…
4 HOURS LATER at 7 pm…
“Okay…” You were getting the movie ready as you clicked on the remote, “I’m telling you guys right now. That this movie inspired me to pretty much NEVER go anywhere where there’s mountains in my life… after this, you’ll understand why I’m never going anywhere that’s too dark again.” You were kind of exaggerating, but at the same time you kind of meant what you were saying since… the movie kinda traumatized you when you were younger.
Only a few of your classmates took your warning seriously, but Bakugou thought you were being stupid as he scoffed. However, Kirishima sat beside him and he was already looking very nervous and appeared to believe every word you were saying…
What in the world was in this movie to make you stay away from dark places and mountains…?
“There can be revelry in the dark you know?” Tokoyami asked you, but you just chuckled a little bit, “Maybe for you… because the dark is your advantage but… I ain’t never stepping foot into a pitch black place again… not after this movie…” You gave your cryptic explanation, which did nothing to ease your more nervous friends.
“I-It’s that bad…?” Uraraka sounded concerned, and she was just as scared as Izuku and Kirishima was. While horror movies didn’t freak her out that bad, some of them still scared her. And you nodded as you turned the lights off, “Oh… it’s bad…”
Kirishima put his brave face on, even though everything you said wasn’t making him feel any less nervous, “I’m sure it’s not that bad… we can handle anything! Nothing’s too scary for heroes!” He declared optimistically, and you couldn’t help but smile, he was so sweet it was perfect that you chose this movie to scare the Mr. Bojangles out of him…
“Yeah, yeah just start the fucking thing already!” Bakugou was getting impatient though, and demanded that you start the damn thing as you scoffed and just started the movie, “All right already! Keep your panties on…” You muttered under your breath, but that didn’t escape Bakugou’s surprisingly sharp hearing.
“WHAT DID YOU SAY?!”
You had to cover your mouth to quell your snickers as Kirishima managed to calm down the blonde to get him to shut up when the movie started…
50 MINUTES LATER…
The claustrophobic setting was enough to unnerve your classmates as they watched rather intently and felt nervous for the women in the film.
Mineta at first was excited because there was mostly women in the movie, but as soon as thing were getting intense he was shaking like a leaf, and he practically fainted as soon as Holly broke her leg in a rather graphic manner.
But Aoyama actually fainted as soon as he saw Holly’s leg bone sticking out after falling and breaking it, which urged a rather frantic Iida to quickly to lie the boy down with his head on a pillow until he woke up. Similarly, Jirou had to look away as the graphic sight alone made her feel nauseous, and neither Sero or Ojiro fared much better as Sero covered his mouth and averted his gaze from the scene, and Ojiro nearly gagged the more he focused on the bone and blood…
Much to your immense amusement, even if you did feel bad for Aoyama. You certainly didn’t expect anyone to faint. Sick at best, but not enough to faint…
“Oh that’s nasty…” Kaminari didn’t feel as sick as Jirou or Ojiro did but it was clear he couldn’t look at it either, “Eek!” Mina had squealed and closed her eyes once that part came on and practically held a disgusted and mildly frightened Yaoyorozu, “I-It’s okay Ashido… it’s not real…” She tried to comfort the girl, and kind of felt really horrible for Holly even if she was just a fictional character. The injury looked horrible…
Izuku, shockingly wasn’t the most horrified since he’s suffered injuries not unlike that before, but seeing it on someone else was still alarming and frightening to look at. And Uraraka gasped and involuntarily hid her face in Izuku’s shoulder. But then they both gasped heavily at the sudden close contact and pulled away, averting each other’s gazes and blushing darkly. Beside them Todoroki didn’t seem disinterested, if anything he seemed pretty focused on the movie even if that injury was a little bit hard to look at.
“That’s inaccurate. You’re supposed to set the bone once before you splint it in place.” He stated what he knew about injuries based on his own training and what his shitty old man had taught him. “You’re never ever try to reinsert a protruding bone from an open fracture like that.” Yaoyorozu backed up his claim, which made you kinda giggle at how much these two knew.
“Heh… the least movies can do is use correct medical knowledge eh?” You wondered after listening to them, but you were distracted when you saw Kirishima shivering as he tried to not focus so much on how graphic that injury as he gulped hard and resisted any part of him that felt nauseous or sick after seeing… bone… blood… and Holly screaming when they tried to reset the bone…
He swallowed whatever was in his throat and tried rising back up, gagging quietly as you tried your hardest not to snicker at the poor thing. He was so freaked out…
And this wasn’t even the best part.
You heard a sharp gasp though from Kirishima as soon as Sarah saw some kind of creature in the cave, and he was trembling all over again. He knew what that meant, and he wasn’t looking forward to what was happening next, he knew a jump scare was coming soon.
“Y-You all saw that right…?” He asked nervously as many of his classmates made little mumbles of acknowledgement, “Who couldn’t have seen that idiot?” Bakugou rolled his eyes at how clearly scared his friend was, even if he wouldn’t admit that this movie was… surprisingly hardcore, the injury looked pretty real, so real it actually made him cringe the first time he saw it…
“Hehe… don’t worry Kirishima…” You smiled and placed your hand on the redhead’s shoulder, scooting closer to him even when he tried to stop shaking so badly and gulped hard. Was this your plan? To scare him? He was starting to wonder. He wanted to avoid watching any of the more unnerving parts, but he couldn’t since you were right next to him, and making sure he WAS watching it…
And you resisted the urge to snicker like a maniac when you saw that Kirishima wasn’t the only one trying to not watch the movie. Shoji averted his eyes every now and then whenever something disturbing showed up, he didn’t dare look at Holly’s broken leg and Satou was too frightened to eat the sweets he had in preparation for this movie. While Kouda was covering his ears and had his eyes closed as he trembled where he sat next to a rather calm, collected Tokoyami, who was clearly enthralled by the movie.
“How have I never seen this movie? The dark, suffocating atmosphere is frighteningly realistic in that setting…” He thought outloud, obviously approving of your movie choice as you giggled a little bit, “It’s different from other horror movies I’ve seen, but in a good way. It’s not cliché at all.” Tsuyu agreed with Tokoyami and looked just as interested as she did, and you couldn’t help but smile proudly. “Told ya it was good. And this ain’t even the best part.” That piqued some of your classmates interest and dread.
“W-What’s the best part…?” Kirishima asked you nervously, his form quivering as you gave him that insidious grin you were infamous for. “If I told you it’d take away from it Kiri…” You used a cutesy voice even though Kirishima knew better, especially at this moment where he figured out your evil plan…
He shouldn’t have been watching, he should have actually just said ‘no’ to this movie instead of pretending to not be scared. Even though he thought ‘what kind of man is too scared to watch a movie?’. It was conflicting and embarrassing, especially now that you were seeing him all freaked out over a little movie…
You almost felt bad when you saw how scared he was getting, but after 5 more minutes in you noticed just how dark the room was, thanks to the sun setting and making the room nearly black and only the light on the TV allowed you to see most of your classmates getting nervous as they focused on the scene involving the dead animal bones…
A wide grin found its way on your lips as the ‘best part’ came up…
At least 10 of your classmates let out shrieks of terror as soon as the ugly cave monster showed up, and a few had jumped out of their seats from fear.
“AAAAAHHH!”
“IT’S IN THE CAVE!!”
“RUN OUT OF THERE!!
“EEEEEEK!”
“WHERE’D IT GO?!”
“OH MY GOD!!”
“WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING?!”
“OH SHIT!!”
You laughed outloud as your classmates all shouted almost as if they were in the movie and as if the women could actually hear them, and identified Mina and Kirishima as the loudest screamers when you saw Mina practically hiding behind the couch and Kirishima was shaking in his seat and you swore you saw tears in his eyes. The poor thing did not exactly have what you would call a manly scream and you were loving it. Sadistic as it was, you felt successful in ‘getting back at him’ for making you love him, and at the same time you felt kind of horrible…
“Are you okay…?” This time, you didn’t sound like you were teasing him, you were concerned since he looked pretty scared.
“I-I… I think I peed a little bit…” He said in a somewhat shaky voice, and you tried your hardest to not snicker in amusement as you tried to soothe his nerves and rub his back gently, “Don’t worry buddy it’s all a movie…” As much as you loved how this turned out, you were starting to feel a little worse by the moment.
“I nearly wet my pants…” Sero then spoke up as he trembled where he sat, and Kaminari promptly scooted away from him. “I guess… I wouldn’t blame you…” However, he was just as terrified as his friend was. If he were in that situation, he would have freaked out just like the women did.
But before anyone could relax, the creature showed up yet again and everyone was on edge yet again now that the monsters were there to make the movie all the more horrifying.
Aoyama finally came to from where he lied, sitting up and rubbing his head with a low groan, “W-What did I miss…?” He asked, and as soon as he saw the screen featuring Holly getting her throat torn and ripped apart, he fainted yet again much to Iida’s distress as he jumped a little bit at the scene himself.
Wow, it was that scary to everyone?
Well, Tsuyu, Tokoyami and Bakugou still looked pretty entertained. In fact, the latter was smirking and legitimately entertained as soon as Juno began fighting that ugly fucker.
Of course you expected those three to be comfortable watching a horror movie, but everyone else, especially Izuku, Uraraka and Kirishima looked like they weren’t going to get any sleep tonight. And it got worse as soon as Sarah was forced to watch the monsters eat Holly’s corpse in all it’s gory glory complete with the sickening sounds of flesh being torn and stripped by the creature’s sharp teeth.
Uraraka and Izuku practically squealed in unison as they trembled and turned away with their eyes shut, wondering why did they actually stay and watch this with everyone. Kirishima held back the scream creeping in his throat, at least until he thought bile was rising up and he gagged a little bit. You should have been amused but you weren’t…
‘Aww man… I can’t be happy when he’s like this…’
You thought guiltily as you sighed and put your hand on the redhead’s shoulder, which made him gasp sharply due to that sudden touch startling him, “(Y-Y/N…?”
“Dude… if it’s too much you don’t have to watch… I promise not to mock you behind your back if you do…” You weren’t playing or anything, and Kirishima could tell, “What…? Hehe… I-I’m all right really… it’s like you said it’s just a movie…” He nervously forced a small laugh and crooked grin, “I’m not a chicken after all…”
Kirishima claimed and tried to look brave… for about 5 seconds until he saw Sam and Rebecca get ambushed by one of the monsters in a jump scare that made him jump in his seat and let out a scream, “O-Okay fine I’m a chicken!” This time, he did turn away with his eyes downcast and looking miserable as he started mentally beating himself up and calling himself a coward for letting a little movie scare him. Part of him wanted to cry, but he refused, no way he’d look even more like a wuss in front of you.
He was such a loser. This was so unmanly in every way possible, and on top of that you were there to see him act like such a wuss. Kirishima always knew he was a bit of a wuss when it came to these kind of things, but he thought he could brave it, he really did…
‘What have I done?! Oh Kirishima… no matter what I do I can’t shake these feelings off, and now I feel horrible!’
“Eijiro.”
Kirishima perked up as soon as he heard you say his name, and your heart was beating at what you were about to do next, but you couldn’t stand to see him like this. “C’mere you doofus…” Quietly and discreetly you placed your lips on his forehead which made him perk up and freeze, his cheeks turning as red as his hair as he stared at you wide-eyed in extreme surprise.
“W-Wha… w-wha-what… w-was…?” He didn’t mean to stutter, but he definitely did not expect you to do that as you pouted and blushed heavily. “I’m sorry okay? I didn’t think this movie would freak you out that much…” You muttered and he blushed even more, looking away in shame as you put your hand on his face to make him look at you.
“Admitting you’re chicken is manly though… don’t feel so bad just because you find it scary. I’m still afraid of the freaking dark because of this movie… the only reason I’m not scared is because I’m so close to you…” That sounded kinda sappy, but you meant what you said as you tried not to smile when you saw Kirishima’s look of surprise.
He was touched though, and felt a beam of happiness beginning to blossom in his heart as he smiled wide, “You… you mean that?” He asked somewhat bashfully, and you rolled your eyes a little bit.
“Yes you mook… I really do. And the truth is… argh… dammit… I like you stupid…!” You whispered to him as your whole face burned, and your heart beating out of your chest now that you finally admitted it. Kirishima somehow looked even more surprised, part of him always thought that maybe you had a thing for him, but now this was confirmation that you definitely did…
And he couldn’t help the grin rising on his lips as he pulled you in for a hug, smiling that smile that you fell in love with, “Hahaha! W-Wow um... I... you know I have to be honest I... I like you too (Y/N)! I think you’re pretty awesome…. And seriously manly… to be able to watch a movie like this… and for other reasons too but… yeah I… I like you too…” He blushed and sounded a little shyer when he said the ‘L’ word to you, as he truly did return your feelings and you were just… so happy…
You almost completely forgot about the movie as you smiled warmly and hugged him back. “Good… that is exactly how I feel about you too… you’re the manliest guy I’ve ever met you know that?” Deciding to go soft, you smiled when you saw his smile brightening, but before he could squeeze you affectionately, he made the mistake of looking at the movie when a loud monster screech startled him and made him and his classmates nearly all scream and he did squeeze you… out of terror and he practically clung to you like a sloth to a tree.
At first you were shocked, but then you quickly snickered at his reaction and loved how his arms felt around you as you patted him on the head, kinda stroking the spikes a little bit. “(Y/N)’s got you…” A little condescendingly you spoke to him a soft tone, which made him kinda pout as he made sure to avoid watching the scarier parts while everyone was trembling in terror.
“A-Are you okay Ashido…?” Yaoyorozu asked Mina, who nodded despite her fear, “Y-Yeah… why…?”
“W-We heard you scream just now…” Jirou replied shortly afterwards, but was surprised at Mina’s confused look, “That wasn’t me…” Mina, for once didn’t scream at that last part since she had gotten used to the atmosphere. But everyone knew what Jirou was saying, because after seeing the jump scare featuring Rebecca getting her stomach torn and eaten alive by the monsters they heard someone shriek…
Very femininely and high-pitched…
“Huh? Then who screamed? Uraraka?” Kaminari looked to see the girls, but all of them were shaking their heads because they had held their tongues to avoid embarrassing themselves. “It was very girly sounding…” Despite not getting an answer, Kaminari just snickered a bit and everyone didn’t see Todoroki staring down at his lap and silently blushing as he made sure to avoid seeing anymore of the movie.
You saw. Because it was your job to make sure everyone was watching the movie, and you didn’t expect Todoroki Shouto to scream like a little girl, or Kirishima, the love of your life to hold you so tightly as his grip on you didn’t loosen in the slightest as you held him close and practically cuddled him.
Boy this night was turning out better than you thought…
25 MINUTES LATER…
The ending credits came on and you were a mix of amused, ecstatic and enamored as you didn’t let go of Kirishima, just in love with how soft yet firm he felt thanks to all those muscles on him that you found ridiculously attractive and tempting to just touch, and now you were feeling them up so close. It was like a muscular teddy bear you just wanted to sleep with in bed and never let go. And you had seen what he looked like under the clothes
However, his grip on you slowly loosened now that the movie was over but he still looked a little unnerved after everything he had to see.
“Soooooo… what did you guys think?!” You excitedly asked your friends and classmates, but many of them were rather… shell-shocked, with only Tokoyami, Tsuyu and Bakugou appearing the most entertained.
“That actually wasn’t a shitty movie after all.” Bakugou looked surprisingly calm as he approved of your movie choice, and you actually smiled. “Yeah I liked it a lot. It was one of the better horror movies I’ve seen in a while.” Tsuyu was next to say how much she enjoyed the movie and Tokoyami nodded besides her. “That was brilliant. I enjoyed every moment of it. I agree with Asui, it’s a lot better compared to the more modern horror movies.”
Their approval made you start to smile a little more smugly than you wanted to, “Hehe… why thanks~.” You giggled a little bit, but everyone else…
“T-That… t-hat… w-w-a-was… horrifying…” Izuku barely managed to get his words out as he and Uraraka were still trembling on the couch they were on. “I don’t want to go visit the mountains anymore…”
“I-It’s only a movie! It’s fictitious and there is no such thing as cave monsters!” Iida tried to make his friends feel better, but you just smiled at him.
“You don’t know that Iida… I mean not all caves are explored… who knows what’s in there? There just might be a cave monster somewhere around the world.” You didn’t help at all and added to the fear as many of the others started to tremble.
“She has a point…” Todoroki didn’t want to believe it, but this movie was… surprisingly and legitimately frightening. He didn’t want to imagine getting stuck in a mountain and suffocating from the lack of oxygen while something is potentially lurking in the dark.
“I-I’m sleeping with my lights on tonight…” Aoyama said what the rest of the Dekusquad was thinking, now that they had the wits scared out of them.
“Momo… can you please make me a night light…?” Mina asked Yaoyorozu because that movie seriously freaked her out, “M-Me too…?” Kaminari quickly asked right after Mina did, but the sweet Yaoyorozu did agree to make them some lights for tonight…
You didn’t know whether to be amused or kinda guilty. “Um… you don’t think this movie’s gonna scar anyone for life do you…?” You asked a shaky Kirishima, “I… I don’t think so…” He didn’t sound confident at all as you nervously smiled…
“BOO!”
Kirishima suddenly screamed and many of his classmates followed short when they heard him, and he jumped fearfully. But you had no idea who did that… at least until you heard your friend laughing.
“Hee-hee-hee! Sorry! I couldn’t really resist…” Hagakure was giggling, but nobody could see her so that definitely means she had stripped to be completely invisible. “Ahahaha! Nice one…” You approved of her little joke even when a few of your classmates were shouting at you for starting them, and Kirishima was trembling where he stood.
Smiling, you went over to him and held his hand to take him to his dorm-room, “C’mon…”
Kirishima let you lead him because he was honestly really scared now that he saw everything from that movie and some of the images and scenes weren’t going to leave his head for a while. He couldn’t stop thinking about it now… the blood, the cave-in, the monsters, the women screaming…
Even when it was time for him to go to bed he couldn’t really get them out of his head, and you knew this. So that’s why you were staying with him even when he got in his pajamas and lied in his bed, unwilling to turn the lights off and he almost freaked out when you were about to.
“Don’t!” He suddenly yelled, and you were honestly surprised…
Was he that scared?
Now you really felt bad. “Oh Kiri… I’m sorry… I’m so sorry…” You smiled a little sadly, turning off the light as he gasped and tried his hardest not to look so alarmed as you made your way over to him on his bed. “I’m sorry for calling you chicken…” You patted him gently on the back, and he blushed a little bit at how close you were but your comfort was making him feel a little bit better.
“Nah… it’s okay… you weren’t wrong, I should have just owned up to being a chicken…” Kirishima admitted to that, and felt bad for lying about since lying was not a manly thing to do at all. “You’re the cutest chicken ever. And besides… you’re not chicken at all where it counts.” You kissed him on the cheek, reminding him of the villains he’s fought against, and his bravery when he and Izuku went to go rescue Bakugou.
And Kirishima couldn’t help but grin shyly with a pink blush on his cheeks, “Awww… thanks!” He beamed as he actually kissed you on the forehead in return, which made you freeze and blush heavily as you let out a rather dorky, giddy little giggle…
“Uh… this might sound kinda lame but… do you mind… staying the night?” Kirishima then sounded shy upon asking you that, and you were still in a bit of shock from the kiss, but you nonetheless grinned and happily nodded. “I don’t mind at all~!” You said happily as the two of you exchanged big smiles and an equally big hug.
It took a while for him to actually go to sleep, but you were next to him in bed and the dark felt a little less scary.
You on the other hand, weren’t scared at all. You succeeded in getting the boy you loved close to you. Sure, you might have had to scare the pants off of him, but he was all yours now.
BONUS ENDING…
“Good morning cla-…”
Aizawa didn’t expect to walk into his classroom to see almost all of his students asleep on their desks. The ones who were awake looked a mix of exhausted and terrified with their eyes wide, droopy and bloodshot. And the only ones who were awake at all were you, Kirishima, Tokoyami, Tsuyu and Bakugou.
His eyebrow twitched ever so slightly in irritation when he picked up on what could have happened, “That’s it… no more horror movies on a school night…”
Little did you know, Aizawa planned on finding that movie of yours and confiscating it, as to spare his students from being traumatized any further…
You wouldn’t mind. You were finally with the boy you loved.

Shadowlight Week 2020 Prompt: Fall Pairing: Sting x Rogue
A Collaboration by @mdelpin and @oryu404

Chapter 2: Fall
The sound of the backpack zipper opening seemed louder than it should due to the library being so silent, but the guy in front of Rogue didn’t seem to notice, muttering to himself as he emptied what must have been half its contents in search of something.
Rogue watched in silent fascination as a small pile of receipts, empty food wrappers, used paper products, and a few jewels of loose change littered the previously pristine table, finally ending when the desired item was found. A familiar book, one which he had just put away in his own neatly organized backpack, sat in front of the stranger.
Foreign accent, tall, blond, wearing crop tops… As Rogue observed him more closely, he was excited to realize he’d seen this guy before.
“You’re in my Bio class!”
“Really? I didn’t notice, classes here are so much bigger than I’m used to. The name is Sting Eucliffe,” he extended his hand out to Rogue in greeting, waiting patiently for him to shake it.
Rogue was amused by the formality, but he shook it nonetheless, figuring it must be more common wherever he was from.
“I’m Rogue Fullbuster,” he introduced himself, “Nice to meet you.”
“Same!” Sting beamed, again with that smile that was brighter than Rogue’s future, “Did you already do the worksheet?”
Rogue groaned, putting his head on the table for dramatic effect. The sound of Sting’s laughter surrounded him, making him lift his head again to see what Sting looked like when he laughed. Rogue should probably shush him, but he didn’t want to.
“It’s not that bad,” Sting commented, opening the book to the chapter Rogue had just closed.
“Easy for you to say,” Rogue grumbled, “I’m a creative writing major, all this stuff is just gibberish to me.”
Sting gazed at him in surprise, “Why are you even taking it?”
“It was the only open class that would fulfill the requirement,” Rogue sighed, cursing himself yet again for waiting til the last minute to pick his classes.
“That’s rough,” Sting commiserated, “I can try help you if you want?”
“That would be amazing!”
“Sure,” Sting grabbed his book and moved to the seat next to Rogue, once again sifting through the contents of the backpack that Rogue had begun to consider more of a trash bin until he retrieved his laptop and opened it.
While it was busy booting up, Rogue got distracted by the scent of whatever cologne or body spray Sting was wearing. It smelled nice, although he couldn’t put his finger on what it was. All he knew was that it was pressing buttons that should be left unpressed if he ever wanted to get that biology assignment done.
“I’m sorry, did you say something?” he finally managed to tear himself away from his thoughts when he realized Sting was talking to him.
Everything about this guy was just a little too something, too loud, too messy, too handsome, a little voice inside his head added smugly, and he certainly couldn’t deny it.
“I was just asking how far you got?” Sting asked once again, looking slightly amused.
“Honestly?” Rogue grimaced, hating to admit he was having so much trouble, “I entered my name?”
And there was that laugh again, warm and full of mirth, lifting Rogue’s previous mood effortlessly. “Okay, uhm, let’s start at the first problem then.”
Sting began to explain the concepts that minutes ago had been incomprehensible. To his amazement, Rogue found that once he was able to concentrate on the words rather than the man who was saying them and his cute accent, he was actually able to understand some of it. Sting never lost patience with him, only stopping once to chuckle, “Wow, you really suck at this,” before launching into another explanation.
An hour later, they had both finished the homework. Rogue looked out the large library windows, not at all surprised to see it was already dark.
“I don’t even know how to begin to thank you,” he admitted, “there was no way I would have gotten that done without your help. I feel like I should make it up to you somehow.”
Sting was about to reply when his stomach decided to do so for him. With a slight tint to his cheeks, he asked, “I don’t suppose you know any good places to eat around here? The food at the dorm kind of-”
“Sucks,” they both said in unison.
“Let me buy you dinner, it’s the least I can do,” Rogue suggested, even though they’d been working on homework it was the most fun he’d had in a long time.
“Alright, I gotta warn you though, I eat a lot,” Sting had already begun to stuff his book and laptop back into his backpack, along with all the other items that he’d piled on the table.
Rogue wasn’t too worried, he ate a lot also. He had already put his stuff away, so he led the way to the library exit, mildly surprised to see Sting hurry ahead of him to open the door, holding it open until Rogue walked through.
Well, that was considerate, Rogue thought, once again flashing to his dream and the traits his dream self had written on the strips of paper. What had they been?
Oh, yeah, that’s right. Rogue could remember quite clearly the one that said nice ass, but that wasn’t something he was just going to check out right here and now...
That thought lasted a whopping 3 seconds before Rogue could feel the corners of his lips tugging upwards because who was he kidding, he totally was. And it was easy enough to be subtle about it. All he had to do was reach for his pocket to grab his pack of cigarettes- which he was going to do anyway- and pretend he was making sure nothing would fall out when in reality, he was looking just a few extra inches to his side.
Yep, it was pretty nice, and the rest of him wasn’t bad either. Rogue cupped his hand around the cigarette sheltering it from the wind while he lit it, already considering where to go for dinner.
He noticed the slight wrinkling of Sting’s nose at his smoking, but if it bothered him, he chose not to say anything, so Rogue decided to engage him in conversation.
“Anything you’re in the mood for?”
“I don’t suppose you know any good places that serve seafood?” Sting asked eagerly.
“Seafood?” Rogue was taken aback, that was definitely not what he’d been expecting to hear. “Uhm, I think there might be a place a few blocks away from here, my parents used to take us there.”
Rogue kept his cigarette in his mouth as he did a quick search on his phone for the restaurant he was thinking of, relieved to see he’d been right, the place was only a few blocks away.
“Looks like you’re in luck,” Rogue said, leading the way to the address listed on the site.
“Thanks,” Sting fell in step beside him, looking decidedly chipper.
“Don’t thank me yet,” Rogue smirked, “it might be terrible.”
“Can’t be any worse than what I’ve been eating lately,” Sting muttered, “Never thought I’d see the day when I’d tire of junk food.”
“I feel ‘ya, ever since my parents moved I’ve been eating crap too. Should’ve let my mom teach me how to cook when she offered,” Rogue laughed, remembering his few disastrous attempts at cooking for himself. “So, where are you from anyway?”
“Edolas,” Sting replied, and taking in Rogue’s blank expression added, “It’s an island to the east of here.”
“An island, huh? This must be pretty different for you,” Rogue commented, “What do you think of Magnolia so far?”
“I haven’t really got a chance to see very much of it yet.”
“Oh, that’s too bad, maybe I can help with that,” Rogue offered, hoping that Sting would take him up on it so that he could see more of him.
They chatted on the way to the restaurant, Rogue asking questions about Edolas and receiving responses that he only half-listened to, too intent on watching the way Sting’s eyes lit up when he was excited, or the way he used his hands to talk. Much too soon, they had arrived at the restaurant, which was a bit fancier than he remembered.
Enough so that he worried they might be sent away, given Sting’s outfit. However, the greeter only gave them the briefest of glances when he asked for a table, replying in an apologetic voice, “I’m sorry sir, we are reservation only and we are unfortunately all booked up for this evening. Perhaps you can join us another time?”
Rogue thanked her and went looking for Sting, who had somehow disappeared from his side. He found him standing in front of a lobster tank, which was full of the crustaceans, each with their claws held shut by a band.
He couldn’t help a smile, Sting was talking to the lobsters contained within, arms once again moving a mile a minute, but it was his words that he found amusing.
“Aren’t you a pretty fella?” Sting cooed at the largest lobster Rogue could ever remember seeing. “Bet you look even better inside my belly.”
“Making friends?” Rogue teased, ignoring the looks they were getting from the other people who were waiting to be seated.
“Oh, haha,” Sting replied, hand moving to his neck, “Never seen one that big before.”
“That’s what he said,” Rogue replied out of habit, but he was surprised to see Sting stare at him curiously.
“Oh, that’s just something my friends-, “Rogue began to explain but thought better of it, “You know what? Nevermind, stupid joke.”
“Yeah, I’ve heard that joke before,” Sting clarified, “I was just surprised that you used he.”
“Is that a problem?” Rogue tensed slightly, he thought he’d gotten a certain vibe from his friend earlier, but maybe he’d been wrong?
“I’d hope not,” Sting laughed, turning back to the lobster tank and mouthing Thank You before cheerfully adding, “I’m still going to totally eat you, though.”
“I’m sorry to say, you’re not,” Rogue announced, “They’re booked for the evening.”
“Oh man, that sucks,” Sting whined, “I was looking forward to it.”
“I think the place next door sells fish sandwiches,” Rogue cajoled, trying to get out of the restaurant before they caused a scene.
“Not what I had in mind,” Sting pouted but seemed to consider Rogue’s offer nonetheless, finally turning back to the lobster tank and pointing at it. “Don’t look so smug Sheldon, this isn’t over,” before following Rogue out the door.
The place next door did indeed sell fish sandwiches, along with a host of other things, but it was also extremely noisy. Rogue didn’t mind all that much, he was used to Fairy Tail on weekends after all, and few things were louder than that, but Sting looked disappointed.
They put in their order at the counter and sat down at a table, waiting for their number to be called. Music was blaring from the speakers, and people were yelling in an attempt to be heard over it.
“This is worse than my dorm,” Sting yelled across the table.
Rogue shrugged, shouting back, My band plays the bar circuit on weekends, I’m kind of used to it.”
“I know, I saw you guys play last weekend.”
“Oh? What did you think?” Rogue asked, he knew his guitar playing was decent, but he was always nervous to hear of what people thought.
Their number was called just as Sting was about to answer, and Rogue couldn’t blame him for hurrying to fetch their food, considering they were both starving, but it still made Rogue wonder if he’d been avoiding his question.
They ate their sandwiches, attempting some small talk, but as most of it got lost in the noise, they soon gave up and tried to get out of there as quickly as possible. In a record 15 minutes, they were back outside, and Rogue noticed Sting gazing at the other restaurant with longing.
“Fish sandwich not up to your standards?” he teased.
“It was alright,” Sting muttered.
“I sure hope so, you ate five of them!” Rogue laughed, “I thought that lady was gonna pass out when she saw how much food we ordered.
“Yeah, that was kind of funny,” Sting admitted.
Rogue looked at his watch and noticed it was getting late. Too bad it was Wednesday, else he could’ve asked Sting if he wanted to get some drinks. The dinner hadn’t exactly gone the way he’d hoped. “We’ll just have to make a reservation next time,” he suggested, already thinking of a retake at the fancier, more atmospheric seafood restaurant.
“Next time?” Sting raised an eyebrow, “I like the sound of that. Does that mean I can get your number?”
“Sure, but only if I can get yours too. I don’t think I’ll pass Bio without you,” Rogue retorted.
“Not the answer I was looking for, but it’ll do for now,” Sting winked, handing Rogue his phone so he could plug in his number.

October 10, 2012
Although Rogue was used to having an audience by now, it felt kind of weird to have a single spectator during a rehearsal. He wasn’t the type to enjoy being in the spotlight all that much, but when they played in crowded student bars, he’d quickly get swept up in the atmosphere and forget everything but the songs they were playing. That proved to be somewhat more difficult with someone as distracting as Sting watching them, as even though he was casually doing some homework, he’d break into a wide smile every time his eyes met Rogue’s, which happened, well…quite a lot of times.
And if that wasn’t enough of a distraction already, Rogue could practically feel Totomaru’s eyes burning into him, and he could tell by the fierceness of his drum playing that he wasn’t too happy about the situation.
Maybe he should have thought twice before suggesting Sting come along to band practice, but then again, it shouldn’t be such a big deal. The only reason why he’d come up with the idea was that they had agreed to study at Rogue’s place after, since the library had been so busy lately. If Maru wanted to have a jealous fit over that, it shouldn’t be his problem, right? They’d broken up, he was free to do whatever he wanted.
With that in mind, and because he didn’t want to get teased for being distracted later, Rogue doubled up on his efforts, and...okay, maybe he wanted to show off a little as well. It proved to be good motivation, and soon those pretty blue eyes became a muse rather than a distraction.
The love songs they often practiced suddenly took on new meaning, their words resonating as they flowed through him, making it difficult for him to meet Sting’s eyes, too afraid of exposing the feelings that he didn’t dare give a name to so soon.
At any rate, they played the stars from the sky, and satisfied with their progress, Gajeel called for a smoke break. As Rogue put his guitar away and grabbed his jacket, he was surprised to see that Sting was also putting on his coat, “Fresh air sounds good,” he smiled, turning to Juvia as he asked, “aren’t you coming?”
“The air is never fresh around those three,” Juvia snorted, and she grabbed a sketchbook and a pencil case from her bag to keep herself busy, as she always did.
They walked through the building to the alley where they smoked most of the time, so they wouldn’t block the sidewalk in front of the entrance.
“Are you really that cold?” Rogue frowned at Sting, who buried the lower half of his face inside his scarf, pulled the hood of his winter coat over his head, and shoved his hands inside his pockets. The big fluffy fur trim that encircled his face made him look like he was about to scale Mt. Hakobe, instead of merely joining Rogue in the alley for his smoke break and he found that kind of adorable.
“I’m from an island,” Sting whined, his voice sounding muffled from behind the scarf, “It’s so much more colder over here, we usually don’t get these kinds of temperatures until it’s almost Christmas. How are you two still wearing only a shirt and a leather jacket?”
“You should see my brother, he’s probably still walking around in just a t-shirt,” Rogue chuckled, lighting his cigarette and passing the lighter to Gajeel, who was holding out an open hand. “Does it ever snow in Edolas?”
He thought about the fun they could have once it was really starting to get cold, perhaps introducing Sting to some things that were entirely new to him. That is, assuming he wouldn’t have resorted to hibernation.
“It does, but like, very rarely? Maybe we get a day or two, or a week, at most? Usually, temperatures are well above the freezing level again by the end of January.”
“Heh, just wait until you’ve experienced a Magnolian January,” Gajeel snorted, exchanging a knowing look with Rogue and Totomaru, who lit up a cigarette as well, “You’ll be claiming we’ve hit an ice age.” He held his cigarette between his lips as he reached out to touch the fur trim on Sting’s jacket, his eyebrows knitted together in an apprehensive frown. “At least you’re already dressed for one, ’s this shit real?”
“Eww, of course not!” Sting exclaimed, slightly offended but seemingly not minding the intrusion of his personal space.
“Good.”
Gajeel backed off again, satisfied with that answer, and Rogue breathed a sigh of relief at the thought that they’d all been spared of one of his seemingly endless rants. But on the subject of personal space, Rogue considered his definitely invaded when Maru moved closer to him, putting his hand on Rogue’s shoulder.
“So, Sting-” Maru blew a cloud of smoke in Sting’s direction, “have you done a lot of sightseeing already?”
Waving the smoke away, Sting shook his head, “Not yet, I’m just starting to find my way around the university and stuff, but I was planning to do that during fall break.”
“Cool. You should take a day trip to Hargeon Port, oh, and try one of those canal rides here in Magnolia.” Looking at Rogue and giving his shoulder a squeeze, Maru continued, “We did that on some of our dates. It was really great, wasn’t it?”
“Yeah, it was nice,” Rogue agreed with a forced smile.
They’d had a great time together, he couldn’t deny that, and even if he’d ended their relationship, he still valued their friendship. But Maru made it no secret that he still had feelings for him, and Rogue was getting more and more frustrated by his constant attempts at getting back together. He just didn’t know what to do to make him understand that without snapping and possibly causing a big fight between them.
He calmly removed Maru’s arm, taking the last hit from his cigarette before dropping it on the ground and stepping on it, “Let’s go back inside, we still have studying to do.”
“Sure, book nerd,” Maru teased, ruffling his hair.
“Knock it, skunk!” The familiar nickname slipped out before he knew it as Rogue tried but failed to swat Maru’s hand away, bringing him back to times when things were a lot less complicated between them. Maybe, hopefully, those times would eventually return, when Maru would move on just like Rogue had done.
“Come on, wouldn’t want you to freeze to death,” he joked at Sting, sticking out his tongue at the dramatic pout he received in response.
They went back inside and played a few more songs, the newer ones they hadn’t gotten a chance to practice last week since the studio had to close for repairs due to the fire. All the while, Rogue was dying to leave, for two reasons. He wanted to study, not just because that meant spending time alone with Sting, but because midterms were coming up. But the main reason why he wanted to get them out of there had everything to do with the way Sting was getting awkward under Maru’s scrutinizing stares.
He was more than relieved when the song they’d agreed to be their last had ended. Flashing Sting an apologetic smile, he quickly put his guitar into the carrier and grabbed the rest of his stuff. “See you guys next week,” he called over his shoulder as he led the way out of the studio, walking a little faster than usual.
“Sorry it took so long, we have a gig this weekend,” he explained, searching his pockets for his car keys, “Shall we get some food delivered? We can get started while we wait.”
“Yeah, good idea, I’m starving!”
“So, three large pizzas then?” Rogue grinned, already used to the ridiculous amounts of food Sting put away regularly.
Sting’s face wrinkled in thought, “You think that’ll be enough?”
“Gotta leave some room for dessert,” Rogue shrugged smugly, “Unless, of course, you don’t want any ice cream, or lava cakes, or…” Me, his thoughts happily supplied.
“There’s always room for dessert,” Sting replied very seriously, “it’s the most important meal of the day.”
“Dessert is not a meal!” Rogue laughed, and although Sting was trying to keep a straight face, he couldn’t hide the twinkle in his eyes.
“Yes it is. I say so,” Sting claimed, losing the ability to hold back his laughter before he’d finished the sentence.
They got into the car, immediately bickering over the music that played on the radio, and Rogue was amazed at how at home he already felt around Sting like they had known each other for ages rather than just a short week.
0-0
They were still laughing when Rogue opened the door to his house, although he wasn’t sure what they were even laughing about, he just knew it felt nice. He took off his shoes and showed Sting where to put his so as not to get any dirt on the floor.
Rogue led the way to the dining room table, where they both dumped their backpacks and Rogue’s guitar.
“So this is where you live,” Sting commented as he looked around.
“Yep, oh bathroom is that way if you need to go,” Rogue pointed at the door to the half bathroom that was located just off the kitchen while he looked up the number for the pizza place he liked.
“Don’t forget to get the lava cakes, “Sting urged, tossing his credit card at Rogue, “My treat this time.”
Just to mess with him, Rogue pretended to forget the lava cakes when he got the pizza place on the line and placed their order, only mentioning them at the very last second. The poor soul on the other end of the line probably didn’t know what hit them when Sting’s gape of horror had Rogue in tears, wheezing as he listed his address and managed a “See you later.”
As soon as he’d hung up and put his phone away, he knew he was going to pay for it. Sting came charging at him with one of the soft pillows from the couch, delivering a few well-placed blows as they tumbled to the floor.
Still laughing, Rogue held his arms up in mock defense from the continuing onslaught, “I give, I give!”
Sting let up, blue eyes twinkling with mischief as he leaned ever closer before grabbing the pillow and getting up, leaving Rogue feeling incredibly disappointed. “Thought so!” he grinned victoriously, holding out his hand to help Rogue off the floor.
Rogue released a sigh, playing it off as a side effect from his laughing fit, “Alright, let me show you around the house, I doubt you’ll be focused enough to study with lava cakes on your mind.”
There wasn’t that much to show since Sting had already seen the hallway and the living room, which crossed into the dining room, but Rogue needed something to drag himself down to earth again. He showed Sting every room in the house except for his parents’ bedroom and their bathroom, finally ending the short tour in the basement.
“Guest bedroom-” Rogue opened the door to the room his dad and Gildarts had built for Cana when she, Gray and Rogue were in their teens, so she could have her own room and Gray didn’t have to share his with Rogue anymore. It hadn’t been used in a few years, and over time it had been filled with all sorts of old junk that his parents had meant to sort out and either donate or throw away.
“Still more tidier than my room at the dorm,” Sting chuckled sheepishly, “at least here you can still see the floor.”
“Why am I not surprised?” Rogue muttered under his breath before turning around to his favorite part of the house, “And last but not least, the entertainment room -,” he was about to say more when Sting interrupted him.
“You have a pool table?! That’s so cool, can we play a game while we wait for the pizza?” Sting asked hopefully.
“Sure,” Rogue shrugged, setting up the table while Sting grabbed some cue sticks, “You any good?”
“I’m alright,” Sting conceded, handing Rogue a stick while grabbing some chalk and applying it to the tip of his own.
“Well then, show me what you’ve got,” Rogue taunted, completely trash-talking cause regardless of owning a table he was only average at it.
“Alright,” Sting furrowed his brow in concentration and hit the cue ball as hard as he could, but even though it made an impressive sound, none of the balls went into any of the pockets. He bit his lip, looking at the floor. Clearly, that hadn’t gone like he’d wanted.
Rogue laughed, “Well that was, uhm… something. Wanna try again?”
When Sting nodded, he reset the balls and stood back. This time it went much better, and they started a proper game with Sting calling stripes.
“So, uhm, can I ask you something?” Sting was fiddling with his cue stick making Rogue awfully curious as to what he wanted to know.
“Could I even stop you?” Rogue snorted good-naturedly as he set up for his next shot.
Sting chuckled but wouldn’t meet his eyes, “What’s the deal with the drummer? He was definitely shooting daggers at me earlier.”
“Yeah, I’m sorry about that,” Rogue aimed the cue ball at the nearest solid ball, attempting to get it into one of the side pockets, not at all surprised when he missed. With a sigh, he added, “We used to date, but I broke it off. He’s just having a hard time accepting that.”
“I thought it might be something like that,” Sting commented, “Isn’t it hard to be in the same band?”
“He’s a good drummer, I’m kind of hoping he’ll get over it sooner rather than later,” Rogue heard the doorbell ring and put his stick away to head upstairs. “Guess that’s game.”
Sting followed, needing to sign the slip for their food. Once the door was opened, he moaned happily at the smell of chocolate wafting towards him, and if Rogue didn’t know better, he would have thought the idiot was getting ready to hug the delivery man.
“Down boy,” he muttered, feeling a tad jealous for no discernible reason, even as Sting looked back and grinned at him, arms laden with boxes.
“Food!” he cheered, carrying the boxes to the dining room while Rogue got some paper plates and sodas ready.
By the time he brought them in, Sting was already inhaling the first pizza. Twenty minutes later, there was nothing left, and after doing a quick cleanup, it was time to study.
“Do you want me to play some music or something?” Rogue asked.
“No, this is great,” Sting answered, looking down at his phone. “I work better without it, it’s one of the reasons I go to the library, there’s always music playing in our suite, and I feel like a jerk to ask them to turn-” he stopped in the middle of the sentence as he looked at his phone once again and started laughing.
“What are you doing?”
“Oh, you should see this,” Sting laughed, “my roommate just sent me this great TikTok!”
“After we get some studying done,” Rogue reminded him.
“Right!” Sting gave him a mock salute, grabbing his backpack and opening it up to grab his laptop. “Oh hey, can I get your wireless password?”
Rogue tried to ignore the amount of trash that fell out of the backpack in the process, but it was a losing battle. “Do you want me to show you where the trash bin is?”
“Hmm?” Sting peered at him absently, still in the process of booting up his laptop.
“Nevermind,” Rogue sighed, entering the password and sitting down with his own laptop. He had a feeling that it wouldn’t make much of a difference if he got Sting to tidy up the backpack now, it would probably be just as messy again within a few days. Sting just wasn’t a neat person, which was just about the only flaw Rogue had found in him so far.
“We should start with Bio before we get tired,” Sting suggested, pulling his book out and opening it to the chapter they had been covering that week. For the next hour, Sting went over everything they were supposed to have learned, explaining it so that Rogue was able to understand it.
He took lots of notes, knowing he might forget when he had to study without Sting there, but once they were done and had each moved on to different subjects, Rogue mostly ogled his new friend. Biology was his weakest subject, and he couldn’t help but be fascinated by the way Sting’s forehead furrowed in concentration when he read something he didn’t quite understand, or how his tongue peeked out when he was doing math problems. It was very distracting, and Rogue couldn’t help but wonder what it would have felt like if Sting had kissed him earlier, rather than just teasing him with the pillows.
“Aren’t you going to study?” Sting interrupted his train of thought, which was probably a good thing.
“I sort of am, I’m thinking about this story I have to write for one of my classes,” Rogue lied, having not done anything but stare for the last thirty minutes or so.
“Funny, your thinking looks a lot like checking me out,” Sting grinned.
“Someone’s a little self-centered,” Rogue retorted, reluctant to admit that Sting had pretty much hit the nail right on the head.
Sting snickered but chose not to comment, going back to his book and making exaggerated expressions every few minutes until he was once again distracted by his phone.
Rogue made a point of opening a book and staring into it, embarrassed at having been caught. Would it have been so bad to admit it? Time passed quickly as they both tried to get their work done, and much too soon, it was time to drive Sting back to the dorms.
On the way back, he thought about how pleasant it had felt to have company, even if they had studied for most of it. Maybe he should invite Sting over to study more often, midterms were coming up soon, and he’d definitely need help with Biology.
“You’re a lifesaver,” Sting announced with great enthusiasm, “I got so much stuff done! It would have taken me days to get that done in my room or even the library.”
“Midterms are coming up,” Rogue dangled an unspoken invitation, waiting to see how Sting reacted.
“Oh that would be great, even only for a day or two,” Sting beamed, “That would be so much help.”
Maybe it was because of how much fun they’d had, or the way Sting made him forget so many things that had used to bother him. All Rogue knew was that his infatuation with Sting continued to grow in leaps and bounds, making him question whether he could possibly already be falling in love with the exchange student.
He wasn’t really the type of person to be spontaneous, but the reality was that he didn’t have a lot of time to figure out his feelings, not when Sting would return home at the end of the school year.
So before he could overthink it or let himself chicken out, he blurted out, “Why don’t you stay with me for exam week?”

Sooooo I’m not sure if anyone would be interested in actually reading something like this, but I was looking through some of my older Miraculous art and seeing how the designs of my future AU characters have subtly evolved over time, so I wanted to make a post about designing these characters and how/why I made the decisions that I did!
So first off, the birth order! I was originally intending to have the kids born in the order that they’re listed in the Stormy Weather episode:
...unfortunately, instead of actually looking at the episode to be sure, I just went off memory; I remembered Emma being the second but accidentally mixed up Hugo and Louis. By the time I realized this, the characters were already too cemented in my head to switch them back. ^^” Oh well.
In addition to the above, in my ~10 years of experience with next gen fics/art/OCs (I know, I have a problem), I’ve noticed that a pretty large fraction of the time folks opt for their OTP’s firstborn to be a daughter over a son. Nothing wrong with this, of course (heck, I’m a firstborn daughter myself haha), it’s just so disproportionately common that I thought making Hugo the firstborn instead of Emma might make my version stand out a bit more. ^^
Now with the siblings’ order decided, on to the designs! Starting with our oldest,
Hugo!
Black hair and green eyes seems to be the most popular design for an Adrienette kid, and for good reason! It’s an appealing combo on its own in addition to using traits from both parents for the most notable genetic features in characters: hair and eyes.
I also wanted to give Hugo some of his own flair though. I think the best next gen characters are recognizable as their parents’ offspring BUT can still stand on their own as unique individuals. One way to help do this is, when available, to draw on extended family rather than only their parents.
Hugo’s strongest example of this (at least as a kid) is his slicked-back hairstyle, which was somewhat inspired by Gabriel’s. The slicked-back style seemed to fit his nerdy personality, but because he is a child and not nearly as uptight as his grandfather, Hugo’s hair is much messier than Gabriel’s, and he often has pieces falling out in the front.
Admittedly I’m not super great at conveying the slicked idea from the front view, but you can see it a bit better in profile:
Hugo more than either of his siblings also takes after the Dupain side of the family, which isn’t super noticeable as a kid but becomes much more so as he grows up and develops the broad shoulders and strong upper body of Tom and Rolland. He’s not quite as enormous as Tom but is easily the strongest sibling (Louis, meanwhile, is a lanky little noodle like Adrien and Gabriel).
Going along with that, Hugo’s personality has loosened up a bit over time. While I do still draw him in his tucked-in button-up, I’ve also started drawing him in looser styles a bit more, because after all, he is just a goofy kid! This has included anything from using shorts instead of long pants to sometimes wearing just regular ol’ t-shirts instead of his nice button up (on which I rarely actually draw the plaid pattern I initially designed him with because wow it takes forever).
Funnily enough, this is a bit of the opposite of what happened to Adrien. My first sketches of adult!Adrien from this AU all have his shirt untucked, even whilst teaching, but now I almost always draw it neatly tucked in:
...interesting, interesting.
Anyways, while Hugo is still very much a little nerd who does quite well in school and LOVES learning about space and astronomy, he’s also a little more goofy and active than he was when I first created him. He’s probably the most athletic of his siblings (though really none of them are exactly jocks) and while he’s not particularly interested in organized competitive sports, he loves a good game of catch or tag. :)
While people in real life obvious wear any color they want, with my OCs I tend to pick a general palette and stick to it though all (or at least most) outfits, for consistency and easy recognizability. Hugo’s palette is mostly greens (for Chat Noir of course! ;) ), dark blues, and warm browns.
Now, onwards to
Emma!
I decided to make my version of Emma blonde for two reasons: one, it appears to be so in the screencap shown at the beginning of the post, and while Marinette’s imaginations do not necessarily have to dictate how you design your versions of the kiddos, I liked having the consistency.
...plus then some years later Frozer rolled around and showed a blonde (imaginary) Emma again, so like
...validation ;)
(by complete coincidence they’re even accurate to the color schemes I use kashdfgjsddsafjdf)
And the second is just that, again, most (not all, of course, but a lot) of the other Emmas I’ve seen in the fandom have been dark-haired, so again I thought it’d help mine stand out a bit.
So now with hair color established, it’s time for eye color. Most of the blond-haired Adrienette kids you see have blue eyes, for the same reason that a lot of dark-haired ones have green. Which, as said with Hugo, makes sense, since it’s the hair color of one parent and the eye color of the other. So why didn’t I make Emma’s eyes blue, then?
Well, it’s a bit of a silly reason tbh, but the blond-hair-blue-eyes combo reminded me a little too much of Chloe. ^^” Not that it would cause any parentage concerns, of course, since obviously Marinette is the one who gave birth to her, but the visual similarities still made me go like...eh ^^”
So green eyes it was! Which, of course, made her look a heck of a whole lot like her father.
But of course, it’s fine to favor one side of the family, but she’s gotta have SOMETHING from Marinette, right? So what other visual could she inherit to show at least some of her mother’s genes?
✧・゚:* F R E C K L E S ! *:・゚✧
And since Marinette’s freckles are so subtle, I decided to make Emma’s a bit more prominent and easily visible.
Actually her freckles have multiplied quite a bit over the years. She’s always had more than Marinette but it used to be confined to just a few on her cheeks and shoulders. Now drawing her is more like DOTS! DOTS EVERYWHERE! with freckles all over her face, down her neck and arms, and even a few on her legs! It is very much her Thing at this point haha
Freckles everywhere!
As for her hairstyle, the default is a simple headband, but she also sometimes wears it just plain down with no accessories at all (usually when in PJs), or up in pigtails like Marinette’s!
Those are just the main ones though...really she can do pretty much whatever ^^
Emma’s outfit palette took a bit more consideration than her brothers’, since I needed it to match the yellow hair (whereas black, as a neutral, can go with just about anything. So I took a minute looking at her established colors--bright green eyes and golden-blonde hair--trying to think of what theme I could used.
The grassy green and sunshine yellow ended up reminding me of warm weather, like a spring or summer morning. The easiest color for that would’ve been green, but I was already using greens for Hugo and didn’t want their schemes to look too similar. Ultimately I decided on pinks, because the pink outfit with the yellow hair reminded me of some nice fresh lemonade! Some bright whites and warm creams/off-whites then added to the cheery, springy theme. ^^
Her original outfit design included some small dots on her collar and pant cuffs, not unlike the inside of Marinette’s jacket, but I don’t really include that detail much anymore for the same reason I rarely draw Hugo in his original plaid.
Lastly but not leastly, onwards to
Louis!
Thus far we’ve had Hugo, who’s a pretty good visual mix of his parents, and Emma, who takes more after her dad. As such, I figured that it’d only be fair if the third and final kid took more after his mom!
So in many ways Louis looks a lot like a mini male Marinette, right down to the subtle freckles. If Hugo has the most Dupain genes and Emma has the most Agreste genes, Louis probably has the most Cheng genes and has the easiest time convincing people that yes, he is actually 1/4 Chinese (absolutely no one believes Emma when she says this lol...she has to show pictures of her family haha).
We can’t completely ignore the Agreste side of the family though, and in Louis’s case is manifests mostly in his hairstyle which is very similar to Adrien’s, as well as his lean and lanky body type as an adult, very similar to Adrien’s and Gabriel’s (unlike Hugo who, again, is stockier like a less-extreme Tom).
His outfit color scheme is light blues and grays with splashes of red. The blues and grays work well for his shyer, more reserved demeanor, while the splashes of red like the t-shirt hidden under his sweater are like his big imagination! (Like his mother and grandfather, Louis is very much into art and design, though his interest tends to be geared more towards characters and stories than fashion).
Not as much to say about him tbh...he’s “evolved” the least from his original concept and is mostly just the cute baby brother ^^”
So yeah, there you have it! That was roughly my thought process for creating/designing my little kiddos ^^
Hopefully some of you found this interesting; I enjoy talking about my ideas and stuff so if you ever want to know more or about something else that I do/make, feel free to ask! ^^

How did you guys come up with Oni terms such as "Phos" or "Xinta" and Oni names like Hershel and Theodynn? Are they based off of another existing language, or did you make them up yourselves?
Names and Oni terms were fun to come up with, though sometimes it was difficult. In HOTO, I didn't really have to come up with many names because I was borrowing from the few things we knew about season 9 at the time, and I already knew the villain's name was Iron Baron and he had a henchman named Heavy Metal. So Keyda was the only one I had to name; I named her after Maddie technically because I was writing the story for her (we were waiting for season 9 and she pressured me into trying my hand at fanfiction.) Her penname had been PrincessKeda for years so I'm like fine this chick is getting named after you, her name is Keyda.
In Soto, I was suddenly doing a lot more worldbuilding and introducing lots of new characters, so I needed lots of names. Hershel's name came because originally, he really was just going to be the servant that comes to get Cole when Keyda freaks out and I wanted him to have a proper little servant name. I was like "Hershel sounds like a cute little majordomo, we'll go with that." But then as I was writing, it made more sense for Hershel to be a lot younger if he was going to get help from the mysterious outsider. Then I made another little servant girl, and later I decided they were siblings and that her name was Syn. They were just supposed to be cameos that weren't really mentioned again. With Phos, I just wanted that random crazy old healer dude who acts really weird and knows too much. I wanted him to not have a name to make him quirky, but I wanted him to have some old, guru-sounding name that he went by. I thought about it forever and finally decided that "Phos" sounded like an old-timey guru name. He also was just supposed to be a weird dude that appeared a few times. But then I needed more things to write about, and I shot Syn on accident (I know that sounds weird but like it wasn't really planned until I was writing the scene and it kind of just happened. It was supposed to just be that assassins came for Keyda, but I was like crap the little personal servant kids would be in there. Maybe one of them gets hurt? That will give Cole the chance to meet that old timely guru that I felt like needed to exist.) Hershel unlocked his powers because he was really taking the loss hard and I was like he obviously really loves his sister that feels like something that would be equal to Keyda losing Cole...whoops. His powers are unlocked now. Of course, by this point they all sort of became secondary characters, and they continued to just sort of grow on their own within the story. Phos ended up with this tragic backstory that I didn't even know about and Ves figured out he was an Ancient of all things, and Hershel and Syn grew and became stronger and their characters more apparent.
Wow I've gotten way off track of the original ask here, but basically, I give characters a name, and then they sort of just start developing their personalities as they go. The five guards that helped Keyda--Tolan, Retrevan, Jaqah, Ves, and Omar--were also just supposed to be one-off characters. I gave them a name and like one character trait and I was just going to leave them at that. But then Maddie kept asking me about their background and demanding that they have more of a presence in the story. About half of them did. I liked Tolan, Ret, and Jaqah, so I used them more in plot. Ves went off on his adventure (he was not supposed to come back evil but what can I do? I leave my characters for five seconds and they join forces with some evil entity. RIP Vesly) Poor Omar just didn't ever really interest me so I kind of gave him a happy ending and left him alone (in case you were wondering, he lives in the south with his wife Pema and his three children.)As far as thinking up names, a lot of it literally is me staring at the keyboard of my computer and putting sounds together until it sounds like what I want it to. That probably doesn't make much sense, but here's an example: "I don't have any "J" names. J...j...Ja...Jab? No, I don't like Jab. Jack? Too cliche. Jacka? Ooooo better. Sounds like a girl's name. Jacka can be a girl. Don't like that spelling tho; too American. Jaqah? Yup. There it is." Retrevan just sort of came into my brain unannounced, same as Tolan. I was thinking about their characters and poof, they had a name. Did some more thinking and decided on Ves because it sounded cool and foreign and his character trait was that, he was the "foreign one." And Omar just felt like a good fit (its also a very common middle eastern name). As far as Oni terms, I think I looked up random words in random languages for some of them (I think the Norah Ku was something that I did this with.) I honestly cannot remember where I got the name Xinta. I think I just liked the sound of the word? It sounded powerful and ethereal. It probably has some tie to some subconscious thing I heard somewhere. Who knows.
I thought up Theo and Amber's name back when I finished HOTO because I was brainstorming what Cole and Keyda's children would be like if they ever had kids (though I was adamant that I would never write about them...) I knew their names would be Theo and Amber. Amber's name really did come from the color of her eyes and I just really loved the name Theo. But when it came down to it and I was writing FOTO a year and a half later or however long it was, Theo didn't sound like the other Oni names that I had made. So I played around with different names that could have Theo for a nickname, and Theodynn sounded the best. Also when I first thought these two characters up, their personalities were very different. Theo was supposed to be a very serious little boy who didn't talk a lot, and Amber was supposed to be very sensitive and emotional. I think those personalities got stuck in my brain though--when I thought about it later on, I realized that Hershel and Syn were the original Theo and Amber personalities. By the time I was writing FOTO, I was still going to write them the same way, but by the time Theo was born he just didn't want to be serious and dour. He wanted to be happy and bubbly and run around ignorant of all the bad things in the world. Then Amber was born and she was so independent and fiery that I couldn't make her the little sensitive girl that I had envisioned. She still had self-image issues she had to work out, but she was less an emotional wreck about it as she was jaded and fiercely independent. It's strange that characters can turn out so differently than what you first think. This is probably a lot more information than you were wanting, but there's a peek into the process of how I name/ write characters. If you couldn't tell, they kind of take over haha. Thanks for the ask! -NP

JUSTIN COWELL - HC CHART
CHARACTER CHART:
Character’s full name: Justin Louis Cowell Reason or meaning of name: Justin is an anglicized form of the Latin given name Justinus, a derivative of Justus, meaning "just", "fair", or "righteous". Justinus was the name borne by various early saints, notably a 2nd-century Christian apologist and a boy martyr of the 3rd century (possibly spurious). Character is most at ease when: Creating new music Most ill at ease when: Around Angie’s mother Enraged when: Emilia shows little to no interest for their daughter whenever Justin is around. Also when people can’t be upfront or honest with him, especially due to said incident with his ex. Depressed or sad when: he can’t find enough work for the week or when his music fails to deliver. Priorities: His free time, Angie. Life philosophy: You can’t get stuck doing the same thing over and over, you have explore and live a little -- take chances. If granted one wish, it would be: To regain some of his youthful years. Why?: He loves his daughter but he enjoys his freedom as well, it’s a rough act to balance. I’d describe Justin as someone with a Peter Pan syndrome, aka someone who refuses to grow up and act accordingly to his situation and age. Character’s soft spot: His family and friends Is this soft spot obvious to others?: Yes Greatest strength: Creativity Greatest vulnerability or weakness: The fact he’s kind of easy to run over if you want. He’s not gullible but he likes to give people a chance and wants to be liked in return. Biggest regret: Having a child at an all too young age, he feels as if he’s been missing out on his best years. Minor regret: Dating Angie’s mother. Only a minor though since ya. Biggest accomplishment: His career and the fact his music is slowly growing on people. Minor accomplishment: Whenever he steps up his game and acts like an actual adult. He doesn’t necessarily crave to make it to the top of the chain but he wants to be able to live off creating music either for himself or others. Immediate goals: Get a new gig. Long term goals: Get a bigger following. How the character plans to accomplish these goals: By being as creative as one can be and by networking, really. He tries to play around with new sounds and tend to mix in his own songs among requested ones at gigs, cheeky as you can be. How other characters will be affected: Not much, it’s mainly aimed at him but alas Angie could suffer a bit since it’s time consuming and he has full custody of her every other week.

Mannerisms: Usually comes off as friendly, has an easy-going way of expressing himself. He quite so look and act like every other 25 year old out there though which haven’t allowed themselves to realize they aren’t 18 anymore, with his lavish way of dressing up in hoodies and caps. He’d blend into a crowd, yet find a way to hold his own.
TRAITS:
Optimist or pessimist?: Optimist Introvert or extrovert?: Extrovert Daredevil or cautious?: Middle, depends. Logical or emotional?: Logical Disorderly and messy or methodical and neat?: He’s a methodical messy type deal haha Prefers working or relaxing?: If on his music he enjoys working, otherwise a nap never hurts Confident or unsure of himself/herself?: Comes off as confident but definitely has his doubts. Animal lover?: Yes, but he doesn’t own one.
SELF-PERCEPTION:
How he/she feels about himself/herself: Not too high, not too low. He has himself as this sort of middle ground in which he doesn’t dismiss his talent but he also doesn’t have it in him to fully brag or show off what he can do. He believe he possess some rather positive qualities beyond that point, even if some are better than other. It could always be worse. One word the character would use to describe self: Fine. What does the character consider his/her worst personality trait?: He’s too lazy for his own good. 1. Why did you stop liking the last person you liked?: Over time I just moved on. Nothing was going to come of it and we had drifted apart. He honestly just like disappeared. One day I saw he had deleted Facebook and Instagram and I have no idea what happened.
2. If you were dating someone seriously for a long time and were considering marriage, would them not wanting kids (or wanting kids; if you don't want them) be a deal-breaker?:
This is an interesting question because I don’t see myself ever getting married or having kids, so it’s hard to answer this. I’m not sure what I would do because I can’t even imagine myself in that situation to be honest.
3. If someone cheated on you, would you give them a second chance?: I don’t know. My first reaction is to be like, “NO”, but again, I think you don’t really know unless you find yourself in that situation (which I hope I never do). I think it would depend on the situation and other factors.
4. What do you think about before you go to bed?: Everything and anything. For some reason my brain likes to go to some weird, sometimes dark, places.
5. Are most of your friends virgins?: Just me.
6. Could you date someone who was a different religion than you? What about be just friends with someone of a different religion?: I could be friends with someone of a different religion, but as for a relationship that could be complicated. I’m not sure.
7. Do you enjoy sexist and racist jokes?: No. 8. What about dirty jokes?: Eh, some can be funny I guess. 9. Could you date someone with a kid?: No.
10. Do you respond to texts that just say "lol" or "haha" or just a smiley? Why or why not? Not usually. I don’t know how to respond to that and I feel it doesn’t need a response.
11. Do you think you're easy to talk to? Are you a better talker or listener?: I’m a better listener. 12. Who was the last person you were "in a relationship with" on Facebook (including anyone you may have put "in a relationship with" for a joke)?: I’ve never been “Facebook official” with anyone, ha. I also haven’t done that for a joke.
13. Do you think a relationship with a 16-year-old girl and a 35-year-old man would work out? Do you think age differences like that (when they're under 18) should be legal?: Uh, well, that’s illegal first and foremost so there’s a lot of issues there. I wouldn’t support any relationship if one of them involved was underage.
14. What's one job you would HATE to have?: Shout out to the janitors out there for real. 15. Be honest. When you hear someone wants to be an artist or musician, do you automatically think "Oh gawd, they're going to fail and be a loser forever..."?: No, I don’t think that, but I do think that it’s going to be hard for them to find work because that’s just the reality of those professions.
16. When you write, what do you usually write about?: I haven’t written anything since I last was in school. These surveys are the only writing I do anymore.
17. Were you ever "the other man/woman"? How did it turn out? How do you feel about it today?: No.
18. Have you ever cheated? What have you learned from it?: No.
19. What do you think of open relationships? If your partner suggested it, what would you say?: I wouldn’t be okay with that all, personally.
20. If you had a girl right now, what would you name her (full name)? What about a boy?: Sigh.
21. Are you crushing on anyone right now?: Alexander Skarsgard.
22. Are you a party animal? Why or why not?: No I'm lame as shit. <<<< Ha, same.
23. Do opposites truly attract, or would you rather date someone more similar to you than different?: Of course I’d like to have things in common with the person I’m with, but differences are good, too. We don’t have to like or do all of the same things. We’re different people. It’s good to have your own interests as well. Plus, when there’s differences you can inform each other of things that you may not know about it and it can be fun and interesting.
24. Could you date someone with no job, no car, and no goals?: I instantly want to say no and then I realize that wait, that someone is me.
25. Would you ever date out of your race?: Yes.
26. When you have old clothes/whatever that you don't want anymore, what do you do with it?: I donate them.
27. Do you still have a landline, or does everyone in your family just use cellphones?: We do still have a landline. We give that number out to doctors and such.
28. Are you religious?: Yes.
29. Do you like the "guys/girls you can't have" or would you rather have someone upfront, honest, and good for you?: Apparently that’s the case because no one wants to be with me.
30. Are any of your clocks set in the 24-hour (sometimes called "army time") format? Do you knowwhat 18:08 would be in "regular" time?: No they’re not. Yes, it would be 6:08PM.
31. What are five personality traits that would make you instantly not want to be with someone romantically?: Cockiness, arrogance, controlling, disrespectful, and humorless.
32. What about five traits that would immediately catch your attention?: Sense of humor, patience, compassion, reliable, and trustworthy.
33. Ever had a relationship last under a week? Do you even count those as relationships?: Ha, after my first boyfriend and I broke up we got back together at one point for a few days. I don’t count it as a relationship.
34. Do you celebrate "month-a-versaries" or do you just do it yearly?: I would just do it yearly.
35. Is it okay to fool around when you're single?: Yeah.
36. If you're single, do you still mess around?: I haven’t even been talking to anyone in that way for a few years now.
37. What does your work uniform look like?: No job.
38. What's the oldest age someone should be living at home at (if they're NOT going to school or because they moved back in due to a divorce/lost their house/or another tragedy)?: Who am I to say.
39. Is there anyone you know who hasn't changed much (personality-wise; not maturity-wise) since middle school?: Yeah. 40. Are you attending college after high school? Which one? If not, whatcha gon' do?: I did, yes.
41. What curse words do you find to be the most offensive?: The F word when used excessively.
42. Do you have any sexist beliefs?: I don’t think so.
43. A teenage girl wears a revealing outfit to a club and gets date raped. Did she "bring it upon herself" because she was dressed that way? Or is that mindset just sickening?: Wow, absolutely not. That mindset is very sickening. Let’s put the blame where it’s due, which is on the rapist. country music : nolan patrick
anonymous asked: Yo just wanted to pop in with a concept™ So Nolan said in an interview that he hates country music so just like any chance you get just blaring or like scream singing country music at him just to annoy him.
word count: 1.2k
a/n: this is actually pretty funny haha i hope you all enjoy it. and i changed the concept up a lil to make it a bit more funny.
if there was one thing in the world nolan hated more than anything, it was country music. but, who could blame him? even you were from the south and cringed anytime country song played on the radio.
to say the least, nolan was relieved and a bit shocked to find out his southern girlfriend hated country music as much as (and probably more) than he did. he knew it meant there was no chance of you blasting any kind of country music around his apartment and was extremely happy he found someone who disliked the annoying tunes.
but one thing nolan did not know was that your family also hated that type of music.
you, your siblings, and parents were all extremely different; which lead nolan to believe someone was bound to change the current pandora station to country music at some point during your small barbeque get-together at your parent's home in georgia.
it was nolan's first time meeting your family after dating him for six months, and he wasn't nervous at all. one good thing about him was that he usually didn't tend to overthink situations and would rather just let life happen; it was one trait about him you loved and trait your family was growing to love.
"wait, are you being serious?" your brother asked nolan as they sat in the backyard on two lawn chairs.
"of course, any time you wanna go to a game just let me know and i'll get you there. no charge." nolan leaned over in his seat to pick up his now empty cup from the grass.
"wow that's...you...i could seriously hug you right now." your older brother looked like he had tears in his eyes waiting to pour out as you approached the two of them. it was the happiest you'd seen him in a little while and knowing that it was all thanks to nolan made you more than happy.
"(y/n), i swear he's my favorite guy you've dated out of all the guys you've brought home." your brother turned to nolan, "and she's brought home a lot of guys." your boyfriend only laughed and shook his head at your brother's comment.
"shut up," you replied, leaning on the back of nolan's chair, "you've been single your whole life."
"ha," your brother stood up from his chair and dusted off his pants. "except for that time i dated your best friend. what was her name? mandy, right? or was it molly?" he laughed before walking away to help your father with the grilling as he ignored the insults you sent his way.
"your family's nice." nolan stated as he tapped his fingers against his empty glass.
"i told you southern hospitality wasn't just a myth." you teased, wrapping your arms across his shoulders.
"(y/n)!" your younger sister yelled out to get your attention, "can you come here for a sec?" you told nolan you'd be back and that you'd get him a refill before reaching to grab the cup from his hands. the seat next him suddenly became occupied by your sister's boyfriend once you walked away; the young boy was ecstatic to talk to a hockey player.
"what's up?" you asked your sister while filling up nolan's glass with homemade tea.
"is tk single?" she asked.
"first of all," you sat the jug of tea back down on the table, "you're fifteen and he's twenty-one. secondly, your boyfriend is literally a few feet away talking to mine."
"it's sad how boy crazy she is, isn't it?" your mother sighed as she put plates down on the table. "but that's not why she called you over here. we just wanna know why your hockey player over there breaks a sweat anytime someone goes to change the music station."
you let out a laugh as you glanced back at nolan, who was trying to keep up as the young boy talked his head off. "he's fine, he just really hates country music and is scared that someone will put it on."
"wait...so he thinks we actually like that music? really?" your sister seemed almost offended.
you shrugged, "i didn't tell him that you didn't like country, if that makes sense."
"well, at least we get to mess with him now." your mother turned to your sister, "go put on blake shelton and pretend that you like it." she and your sister mischievously smiled at each other and you laughed at how funny they thought they were being.
as your sister ran to change the station, you made your way back to nolan before handing him his glass that was once full again. "thank you," he replied as he accepted the drink from your hands. comfortably sitting in his lap, you waited for the music station to play as nolan's hands snaked around your waist; the cold glass barely touching your stomach.
"so, yeah" your sister's boyfriend proudly leaned back in his chair. "destiny likes the fact that i play a sport, she's great."
you furrowed your brows in confusion, "my sister's name isn't destiny, she told you that was her name?" you questioned the now, also confused boy.
"dude, her name's kayla." nolan replied, slightly smirking.
the boy stood up from his chair, a hurt expression on his face. "kayla.." he called out, and began walking to your sister who was toying around with the music on her phone. a confused look was on her face as she heard her real name come from the boy's lips but quickly brushed it away as a new song started to play; a country song. "mom! this is our song!" she yelled, not even knowing the artist of the song; let alone the name.
"shit," nolan muttered before taking a sip of his drink. he was already annoyed though the song had only been playing for a few seconds; truly showing how much he hated country music.
he tapped on your thighs, "get up, i have to pee." he said, finding an excuse to leave. you sucked your teeth, "stop, this song isn't that bad."
nolan was shocked at your statement, "you too? you like country now? jesus christ, no. why did the gods of country music had to abduct my girlfriend of all people?" his thumb and index pinched the bridge of his nose as he watched your family fake-enjoy the song that was playing.
your mother was the first to come over and see how nolan was doing. "you guys like the song? it's a family favorite." she lied.
"oh, yeah" nolan also lied. "it's great, i love it." he replied in a completely monotone voice, wishing the song would hurry up and end so he can finally be at peace.
your mother laughed at nolan's attempt to be polite. "ok, yeah, i think that's enough torture for today; turn that crap off, kayla."
"got it!" kayla yelled before turning the music off, another attempt to avoid confrontation from her own boyfriend. "wait," nolan used his index finger to turn your head until you were making eye contact. "they don't like country either? this was just to fuck--uh, mess with me?" he quickly corrected his swearing after remembering your mother was present.
you nodded, "the only thing the five of us have in common is our shared taste in music."
"what're you guys talkin' about?" your brother asked he approached, a can of beer in his left hand.
"about how we all hate country music."
"...we hate country music?"

Survey
1. What made you pick up the last book you started reading? I’m reading two books right now! The first one, Empire of Storms, I picked up because it’s the next book in the series I’m loving and I was already halfway done, but then I moved and had to return it. The second book, Blood of Olympus, I picked back up because I realized I never finished the series once college started.
2. Have you received any bad or troubling news lately? I’ve had to go to the BMV three times without being able to get my car titled, so that’s been fun.
3. When was the last time you were relieved about something? Yesterday when we made it to the fireworks show on time! 2017 was not as organized.
4. What about your life concerns you the most? Um... I guess where I’ll be living in October.
5. Is there a common thing most people seem to do without trouble, but it scares you (talking on the phone, driving, interviews, etc)? When was the last time you had to do one of these kinds of things? Driving. Especially on the interstate. I’m terrified of it. I’ve never been pulled over, never gotten myself in an accident, never gotten a ticket, I even use my turn signal in parking lots haha. Still, after the accident I was in in high school, it’s terrifying to think that no matter how skilled of a driver I am, I can still die in an instant because of someone else’s mistake.
6. Is a pen pal something you would enjoy? If so, what kinds of little things would you send your pen friends? I always wanted one growing up, but then my old friends would write me letters and I am the actual worst at responding to people. I don’t think it would last very long.
7. Describe a time when you were there for a friend? I usually like to take the distraction approach. I’ll get them to talk about what’s bothering them, help them come up with a plan if it’s something solvable, and then do something fun to cheer them up or keep their minds off of it, like taking them out for lunch or ice cream or disc golfing.
8. When was the last time you went somewhere for the first time? Yesterday, I went to a fireworks display at a Fort I’d never been to.
9. What is a situation that makes you feel especially confident? Whenever I’m doing something secretarial, aka editing someone’s paper, showing off my typing speed, writing a marketing blurb, updating someone’s resume, or being anywhere relating to books.
10. What was the subject of your most recent conversation? Michael and Noah telling me the hot dogs were done grilling and telling me to come watch a movie with them.
11. Hypothetically and generally speaking, how would you go about breaking up with someone? Is there anything you would make sure to say, or perhaps not say? W o w. I hate hurting people’s feelings, so I’m incredibly bad at it. I try never to place blame on the other person and just speak of things in a broad and futuristic manner like “ It’s just not feasible when I’m leaving for school” “We’re just not in the same place in our lives” “ I just feel like we’re going down different paths”. I always like to try to add something about how I wish them happiness and point out some of their good relationship traits or say how I enjoyed my time with them. I honestly probably sound like a talk show host. I also almost always add the “I hope we can still be friends” line (except once) but I surprisingly am only friends with the only ex who ever broke up with me.
12. Are you more of a night person or a day person? What is it about the night/day that you favor? I like the night because I am more creative and fireflies, but I also like the day because I love soaking up the sun and swimming.
13. What do you find particularly offensive? Would you say you’re easy or difficult to offend? People making any sort of comment that is degrading of my intelligence or purposefully hurtful toward another person. Thankfully, it hasn’t happened in a long time. I would say I’m on the sensitive end of being offended when it comes to rude remarks.
14. Is there a belief you have that most others around you don’t have? Do you share this belief with others, or do you tend to keep it to yourself? Have you ever offended anyone with this belief? Yeah. I’m a Christian and have been involved in various Republican and pro-life campaigns and events over the years, which seems an uncommon alignment to have on Tumblr. I'm rather opinionated about politics since it’s related to my career goals, but I don’t usually bring it up outside of those events unless asked. If people are offended by my blog, they don’t have to follow. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
15. Do you consider internet friendships as important as offline friendships, or do you view them differently?
I think offline friendships take priority when I schedule my week, but that both are extremely important. Moving so much has me communicating with most of my friends via the Internet anyway.
16. When was the last time you visited relatives or friends of the family? Is visiting family something you enjoy? I visited with plenty of them at my wedding, and will be going to visit with them next weekend for the annual hog roast. I really enjoy it, but it always makes me so tired.
17. What did you do for the last holiday or event you celebrated? Fourth of July! We went to a fireworks display last night, are watching classic “Fourth of July” movies, grilling out and baking, and hopefully launching off some of our own fireworks with our sparklers.
18. If you’ve moved out from home, what was the scariest thing about it? What was/is your favorite thing about it? The scariest thing about moving out originally was really just moving somewhere where I didn’t know anyone. My favorite thing was having freedom to become my own person.
19. Are there any fictional characters you like even though they’re “bad” or “evil?” What qualities draw you to a character? Bellamy Blake s1. Lorcan from TOG. The antagonist in my own story. Eugene Fitzherbert. I’m a sucker for the reluctant hero trope.
20. What are your thoughts on “forgiving” murderers, rapists, attackers, etc? Do you think it’s even possible to forgive these people? If they are truly sorry and actively trying to spend the rest of their life showing they have changed, then yes. However, forgiveness absolutely does not mean they should not be brought to justice and pay for their actions.
21. What was the last series you finished watching? Do you have any plans to begin another? Everwood. I just started watching Freaks and Geeks, Harlots, and Handmaid’s Tale, but I’m only liking Freaks and Geeks so far.
22. What is one way in which you are different from a year ago? What is one way in which you are still the same? I feel like I’ve learned to be more comfortable in my own skin, and the importance of fitness and eating right and being organized and showing initiative. I’m still the same in that I still get just as excited about fireflies and I still fall a little bit in love with everyone I meet.
23. When was the last time you had to walk somewhere in the rain? How about the snow? Last week at a Pokemon Go event in the rain and.... wow, maybe to my car on my way to work in the snow back in February?
24. Are there any types of survey questions you dread or don’t like answering for whatever reason? What kinds of questions do you like best? I don’t like the same questions over and over, usually like “ Who was the last person you kissed? Do you miss them? Do you wish you could be with them?”. I love the ones that are unique and make you stop and think.
25. If you could learn about anything without the stress of grades or cost, what kind of classes would you take? Italian in a classroom setting would be great. Also painting.
26. What was the last item of clothing you purchased? Do you wear it often? A blue lingerie set. I wore it once and it feels like wearing a cloud.
27. Has anything made you feel nostalgic lately? Reading the posts I made on Tumblr today all the way back to 2014.
28. What was the last chore you completed? Putting the dishes away.
29. Name a song you’ve listened to today? The Rocky theme song.
30. Is there anything you’ve promised yourself you’ll never do again? Drinking alcohol or eating processed meat on a regular basis.
