@perpetualcynicism you're one of the first blogs I read on Tumblr, I looked up to your writing and it probably kick started my writing here on tumble so thanks :) @mxthtea you were my first proper moot and interaction and one lobed reading your cyno fics. You filled up the Cyno tag before any of us - you're the og @cynotical your writing is absolutely exquisite. Although one if my latest moots you are definitely one of the best, most well written cyno simp accounts I've met. @aeripq loved your writing, and missed you when you left. Loved having you back And a moment of silence for @yumir3 ;(

It feels surreal to have been waiting for Cyno for so long - saving, grinding my prints, getting artifacts for him, screaming every time leaks are released and finally getting to this moment.

just, like… wow. a part of me cannot believe it’s already been over a year since i first started writing for him, and after such a long wait, we’ve finally made it. somehow it doesn’t even feel like that long, either: time seems to have flown by since i started out as a little blog titled ‘humans-are-rubbish’ with one fic and a handful of followers on a near-empty cyno x reader tag.

we went from here…

to here…

…and it’s been so awesome to see the different writers coming and going over the year and recently a well-deserved spotlight on him…

to all my cymoots (@mxthtea, @1eaf-me-alone, @cynotical, @aeripq) and all other people who have been around for a while: well done, guys. we made it.

@mxthtea, you’re the oldest writer i can remember on the cyno x reader tag from my starting out days, and you’re partly why i got motivated to start writing for him, so thanks for that! (also, i don’t know if you remember that ask you got aeons ago about cyno having sand-based attacks, but if you do… that was me </3)

@1eaf-me-alone, you’ve also been around for a while (i think you started, like, just after i did?), and i also want to thank you for bringing some much-needed life and content into the tag and for being such a dedicated cyno lover for so long. it’s awesome to see how your blog has grown!

@cynotical, you may be the most recent of my cymoots, but it sure doesn’t feel like it. you’ve provided so much quality cyno content in a relatively short span of time, and i salute you. your writing of him is incredible, and i’m so glad you shared your talent with us in the form of stupidly-wide-grin-inducing fics.

@aeripq, you’ve also been around for a while (but i can’t remember exactly when…), originally as yumpty-dumpty, then as msuri, then yelanuki, and now aeripq: it’s been quite a wild ride. i know that you received some hate in the past and your genshin writing didn’t get that much attention, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that your cyno writings were *chef’s kiss* and i love rereading them sometimes.

and finally… let’s pay our respects to our good fellow cyno writer yumir3, who deactivated their account a while ago for reasons unknown, but… you haven’t been forgotten.

and for any new arrivals to the cyno pit, welcome! we’ve been here a while, and have prepared any snacks, drinks and brainrots should you be hungry after the harsh impact of landing in the cyno hole and knowing that you’ll never leave, and it’s going to be amazing to share ideas and finally have more than five or so blogs contributing to the cyno x reader tag! i look forward to dragging new, unsuspecting victims to join us in the future.

basically, it’s been a long wait for cyno, but my god was it worth it.
