sdlkjf ya'll i really wanted this to harder but idk i didnt feel the depth or sensibility this called for was there tbh. but it was a blast!!! but … it missed a bit of that x factor thing. like some kind of universality to the romance w/ the rogue. i feel he was too sketched-in.... i was also a bit disappointed that ruby's friend was not her friend bc it meant her whole thing this ep of connecting to that woman was for nothing (and up until that point it was feeling very Important specially after the marti thing) (and speaking of, the chuldur's were kinda very sketched-in / surface-level as villains as well) … yeah. idk. kinda disappointing ngl (diodati > this i think). pretty fucking gay tho so that was nice.

"I know you are going through a lot, my friend."

Mephisto shook his head.

"It's MC who is going through a lot; in comparison, I am simply along for the ride."

"Still, you are undoubtedly stressed."

The nobleman gave a small nod.

"However," Dia continued. "I would still appreciate it if you would answer a certain question of mine."

Just when Mephisto thought he feeling his worst, the prince's words made his body tense.

Somehow, he could just sense he wasn't going to like this question of his.

"What is it, my lord?"

Dia pursed his lips.

"Is...your leg getting worse or has MC simply helped you put less focus on your act?"

Mephisto freezed. He knows?? Has he truly made it that obvious? The nobleman knows he was stumbling earlier but surely that was not enough for his old friend to know his secret?

"This is not some new discovery for me, I assure you." The prince explained, knowing well what his friend must be thinking. "I...In truth, I've known since we were barely adolescents, back when you first received your cane. You always put so much effort into concealing your leg issue so I did my best to respect your feelings and hoped you would confide in me about it some day."

Mephisto was physically about thirteen when he had to start using his cane. Diavolo has literally known about his disability for hundreds of years and never spoke about a word about it simply because he could see how hard his friend was trying to hide it and wanted the other boy to confide in him about it instead of prying into what was obviously a sensitive issue.

That never happened though and here the two men are, hundreds of years later, finally addressing it.

The nobleman turned away from the prince.

"My lord, I'd rather not talk about this."

"You have always been so protective when it comes to others knowing about your leg's weakness." Dia frowned, worried. "What is it about your injury that that makes you so determined to hide it?"

Some would probably think it was a pride issue, but that couldn't be further from the truth. With the way Mephisto acts now of days, such a theory would be believable, but this has truly gone on since they were young, since before Mephisto adopted such an attitude.

Diavolo knew his old friend, knew that their must be an important reason why he did not want others knowing about his disability.

The nobleman's heart was pounding in his chest.

"Forgive me, but I have already said that I will not speak of it." He repeated.

This was a topic that no one could know, that Mephisto himself must take to his grave. Even in their closer days, he could not tell his friend about the incident and nothing has changed since then.

The prince released a sigh.

"I suppose some aspects of you still have not changed." He gave a sad smile. "Will you at least let me know if I or Barbatos can do anything to help?"

The nobleman shook his head.

"Nothing can help it, but I do appreciate the thought, my lord."

Dia stared at his old friend in worry. There really wasn't much in his life that the prince could help with, was there?

Eventually, MC was done with her medicinal bath and was ready to go home. The phantom cold was now gone, but the poor woman was now left mentally exhausted.

The tired human even fell asleep with her head in her boyfriend's lap on the way back to House of Lamentation. She slept hard and poor Mephisto couldn't wake her up.

Luckily, Beel had just come home from somewhere (Mep got so lucky it was a kind brother who showed up lol) and had the big guy take his sweet corazón inside to her room.

Of course, Beely did it without a fuss and was very gentle with the sleeping human.

...Okay, so one of the brothers is alright, he has decided. The Avatar of Gluttony has unknowingly passed a test even Mephisto didn't realize he made.

It only took two days after that for Diavolo's message hit Mephisto's parents and hit them hard. Whatever form it took, the son was unsure, but his parents knew it was his doing.

His mother slapped him across the face with enough force to make him stumble back.

"I raised you better than this!" His mother shrieked. "Do you even know what you've done? Do you have a single brain cell that thick head of yours?"

Mephisto steadied himself and avoided his mother's gaze. Yes, by doing this he betrayed his family, something that was he was taught to be incredibly taboo.

He did it to protect MC therefore he did not regret it--however, that didn't mean it didn't hurt to do so. His loyalty towards his family has always been a defining pillar of who this man was as a person; one he was willing to feel the pain of cracking it for the sake of his corazón and children though.

His father step between the two of them--not out of protection, but to take hold of the situation.

"Listen, we need to remedy this situation and quickly." The older man spoke coolly. "I need you to bring your human pet in to--"

"MC is coming no where near here." Mephisto raised his head and met his father's matching green eyes.

"You--"

The husband simply raised his hand towards his wife.

"Lamia, you wanted me to handle this so I'm handling it." He scolded her before looking back to his son. "Your prince has already made it very clear the lives of that human and her child are off limits; you have turned our threat idle."

"Then what to do you want with her?"

"For the time being? A conversation, one that you shall be present for too." The older man explained. "The rest will be explained then."

Mephisto went silent.

"I expect you both in this house tomorrow afternoon. I will have the butler give you the details in the morning."

And with that, his parents left him standing there, fists at his sides.

What the hell are they planning? And worse, what do they have planned if he doesn't comply?

He was a racist? He still is, FFS!

Ok so today was kinda crazy over here (in barcelona) so here's a bit of an explanation of what happened bc i have nothing better to do: (apparently its been in the news in quite a few places outside spain too but like most of the articles were wildly in favor of spain on this so this is like. what it looks like from the other side. some context and then what happened and some personal commentary lol)

Ok so Catalunya is a part of Spain that for a long time has been oppressed so a considerable amount of people want independence. In fact it has always been a very important factor when voting etc for some people even more than right wing or left wing (we used to have nothing like your republican party here now there is but thats not the point)

Ok so today's drama actually started on 2017 the 1st of october. The democratically elected catalan government for once kept their promises and organized a referendum to see if the majority wanted independece or not, even though the spanish government declared it illegal

Anyways a lot of shit went down, a lot of police brutality and an overwhelming 97% yes (though thats mostly bc the people against independence were generally against the referendum and didn't vote but that's on them) then the government declared independence like a week or so later (then they took it back after 8 seconds💀)

Okay so then like 1 hour after that the spanish government applied an article from the constitution (which has been around since the dictator which most people in power were supporters of died) that allowed them to override the democratically elected government and put whoever they chose in power which you know. very democratic thing to do (the party the spanish president was from had literally 8 of 135 representatives in catalunya just so you get an idea)

Anyways eventually they judged the representatives in the democratic government and it was clear they were going to get a lot of jail time. Some of them stayed here and got up to 9 years of jail i think it was? but some of them didn't want to risk this and also recognition from other countries mattered a lot to us at the moment so they went to different european countries each. Spanish judges of course sent euroorders which basically is they judge them in that country and decide if they should send them back

Off the top of my head, they've been in belgium, the uk, switzerland, denmark, finland, austria and germany and they were found not guilty in each. of. them. however meanwhile the ones who stayed got so many years of jail..... sus huh

Anyways that was many years ago during this time the president at the time traveled around those countries, became a MEP (he was in the eu parliament) and got immunity then gave that up to be in the catalan parliament this spring

And like, all these years the big campaign for his political party was like okok i promise this time im not lying uwu hes really gonna come back this time and it was always a lie but like this time apparently it wasnt :)

So today was the day they were supposed to vote for the new president, and he was supposed to vote bc he was elected etc anyways they were like not clickbait!! he's really coming this time!! Go protest in front of the parliament for when they detain him!!

And ok so the protest was supposed to start at 8am but until like 9am nothing happened then they were like everyone welcome the president!! And the motherfucker appeared in front of everyone (this man was supposed to be arrested like. the minute he set foot in spain) and gave a speech like oh im back they will probably detain me today but dont let that stop you blahblahblah anyways eventually they were like ok make a path and let's all bring the president to the parliament together!! (this guy will always be president in our hearts)

So anyways we created this path they came etc we all knew they werent going to detain him then but we were all kinda hoping they would bc it was better than them detaining him later and all the members of his party went through there all the cameras etc except. it was just a decoy

So no one knew this except probably the members of his party and the 3 or 4 ppl that helped him escape but the man just. disappeared like legit no one knows where he is yet

And like at first it was weird like i havent seen him but i must have missed him and thats it right? except it was this for everyone but still it seemed like a conspiracy theory yet when we talked about him maybe having left anyways the police didnt even know something was wrong until the session started and the guy just. wasn't there. after giving a speech in front of everyone in front of the parliament

Anyways who knows what happened and in what order but we kept protesting they arrested a policeman who had helped the president escape with his car, they even activated the fucking terrorist protocol and started what's apparently called operation cage where they just. Check every single car (including the trunk bc they are traumatized by a joke that last time he left it was on the trunk of a car) coming in or out of the city and in or out of the country. Read that again. The terrorist protocol for a politician from 7 years ago on an 8 of august around 11 am causing massive retentions fucking everywhere at infinite degrees celsius (idk who looks more like a terrorist in here man)

And like. What they wanna judge him for isn't even legal now? Like a couple years ago they approved a law that idk exactly what it said but basically if they hadn't kept the money for themselves it wasnt a crime (and yes it was retroactive) but the judges decided that since their capital hadn't decreased bc of it then it had obviously increased (it didnt it just. stayed the fucking same) so yeah they could still obviously go after him

Anyways i hope he makes it out of the country and gets the fucking pleasure to mock the entire country laugh at their faces as he somehow makes it out once again

lol I knew you would send this to me after I reblogged yours <3 Pretty much all of this you know about already, but here goes. I'll hit up my different interests one by one. Putting it all under a Read More because boy this gets long!

For video editing, it's sort of a mixed bag. I have some manga MEP tracks I'm quite proud of, notably my double tracks for the No Place Like Home MEP and the (very very old) animation action MEP. The latter in particular I'm proud of, because I was still pretty new to editing with manga and VERY new to animation.

For full-length videos, I have three in particular that stand out to me. First is the one I'm famous for, the one that apparently made hundreds of people cry and I guess will be the capstone of my editing career. Still mad that it got uploaded to an AMV hub which stole millions of views from MY upload of my OWN video but I digress (at least that channel is gone now, KARMA!) It's nowhere up to my editing standards today, but it still holds a special place in my heart. Then there's the Princess Tutu AMV I made years ago that got blocked on YouTube, so it's only available her on Tumblr (in trashed quality of course, thanks Tumblr). That one I'm proud of because there's so much masking and transition work that's hardly noticeable at all, which I felt was an achievement. The final one I'm partial to because I made it for you, wifey, with Hyouka because we both love it a lot. I ended up submitting it to cons almost as an afterthought. This one was hard because, as you recall, the files got corrupted and I had to re-edit the entire thing in under 2 days in order to make the deadlines. The final product isn't as good as the original version as a result, but I still love it. This one also was tough because of all the crazy masking and transition work I did. I recall some judge at a con saying it was a "basic" video and me cackling in response because little did they know that some scenes in that AMV are composited entirely and didn't exist at all in the show. Shows what some people know about editing!

For fic writing, I won't take into account any of my old works. For me, those are all dead and buried. I can't rightly claim the fic I'm working on right now, since, you know, it's not done yet, but I feel it has potential to be one of my best. In the meantime, I'll go with my Saria and Link fic that acted as a psychic relief valve for my pain over OoT. I banged this one out in, what, two days or so? I felt like a wrung-out sponge after lmao. Still worth it~

And for my final form of content creation, we come to my coloring. I haven't actually colored in years outside of the palette challenge that was popular years back.
