If a Heathers remake or sequel ever gets made, I pray it's not a musical. Heathers is so special to me because it's a satirical comedy film that could possibly happen in real life. The film feels so immersive for how believable the characters and story are.
The Heathers musical is its own thing. If a remake or sequel is made and is turned into a musical, it would ruin the immersion for me. The Mean Girls remake did exactly that and everyone hated that decision. Fingers crossed Heathers doesn't suffer the same fate.

Went to a performance of rocky horror last night and my very sweet friend who is maybe a little too willing to say yes to everything went on stage and was asked to name a historical figure immediately followed by what that historical figure would sound like having an orgasm. & um. she’d picked Rosa Parks.

Yesterday i saw a stage version of Jesus Christ Superstar that had scenography and costumes so bad that it made me consider doing my masters degree in scenography just so i can prevent stuff like this from happening in theatres
#didn't help that like 2 years ago i saw a stage version that was like 100 times better#with half of the budget of this one#godddd i could rant about this for hours#they tried to do a modern version with the staging but they messed it up so bad and it came off as cringy more than anything#like. having the jesus death scene and the big led screen behind him showing the instagram hearts#bro thought they were onto something#and that something made like half of the audience groan/facepalm#the void talks
