Fox, from my Dystopian Story. She’s the first OC I ever really worked on, and whose story I finished to a point where I was ready to properly share it with people – she also has three whole books. If it wasn’t for Fox, I never would have done anywhere near the amount of writing that I have. She’s curious and creative, fights for what she believes in, and tries her best to overcome her fears.

Sylvester, from my Countdown Story. I have no idea why I fell in love with Sly, but there’s something I find endearing about him as a character. His story all came from the inspiration of a Nickleback music video, and kind of spiralled from there. He’s curious and logical, willing to go the extra mile for information, and constantly tries to look out for the people that he cares about the most.

Sophia Laverna, from my Superpowers Story. She actually started life as a musing character that me and a friend were talking about, a kind of ‘What if’ scenario for a TV show. Somehow her story moved far beyond the one or two little moments that we thought of, and now she’s getting a whole story around her in a new world. She’s intelligent and kind-hearted, family orientated, and a little bit of a rogue to keep things interesting.

Isaac, from my Zombie Story. Isaac is one of those characters that I forget I love until I start looking over his story again, or thinking about him for whatever reason. I feel awful about the situation he finds himself in, given his story, and yet the way he makes his way through it all is something that I really enjoy working on. He’s kind and resourceful, underestimates himself, and constantly tries to do the right thing by the people he cares about.

Willow, from my Superheroes Story. Willow is one of those characters that should be really easy to dislike, but there’s something about her terrible attitude and the changes she goes through during her story that I adore – especially from a narrative perspective for her. She’s difficult and argumentative, fiercely protective of the people she cares about, and reluctantly a hero when called upon.
