Oh, really ? Really. Surely he wasn't stupid enough to think he could hide from the literal King. No, forget the honorific: from Lucifer. Lucifer before he'd been cast down and donned a crown . . . Lucifer who had met Adam in a garden. The Lucifer who knew him.

Yeah, no, he wasn't that shocked to learn he'd ended up here. On the same side of the coin, it wasn't all that hard to figure out who was going around destroying shit ( very specific shit, actually, rude, ) and it was even less difficult to actually find the guy.

In the heat of the moment it'd been easy to pretend that watching The First Man die hadn't made him so much as bat an eye, but circumstance aside it wasn't as simple to actually force pretend feelings out of make-believe-land and into reality.
