"Inaction," Khonshu answered easily enough. "Those with power choosing to stand by, only complaining when it's too late. Especially when it's those I cannot punish..."
He could lie, and say it's cold. The moon's light is bright, but provides no warmth; watching those commit heinous acts under it, he feels a sense of righteous fury, but there's no heat in it. The 'emotion' is so constant and familiar it barely even counted as one, paired with the satisfaction as his avatar took them down. One less threat to his travelers of the night. Onto the next. That was just his business.
Anger was every era when his Knight saw fit to disobey when there was so much on the line. Anger was trying to punch out Arthur Harrow in front of the Ennead for distracting the gods from his crimes by bringing up his Avatar's mental health, how easily it worked. Anger was the night he was banished, when they decided to punish humanity's 'betrayal' by pulling away from them entirely, sealing away gods that refused to follow the new rules. An entire wall of them, in the Great Pyramid. Knowing he hadn't met the same fate because they saw him as a small, inconsequential. In it for the theatrics, the masks and moon-themed weaponry. Not worth the trouble, just like humanity.
That. That which constantly simmers inside him, prickling like fireworks, threatening to consume all other feeling and leave nothing behind-- that is his anger, and his birthright.
How does he cope...? Psh. By being right, and better. "My Avatars 'cope' for me, with blood."
