Rarely, I sometimes leave my bed undone but that’s it, you should be able to find it.

Yeah. Always. The only exception is my office, because I have a habit of leaving things out while working on a project. But after I’m done with it, I clean the entire office up.

Can you dance?

Um. Yeah.

How well?

Well enough to have gotten ‘mistaken’ as a dancer before.

What kind of dance styles?

….ah…ahahahahahaha hahahaha hahahaha I refuse to tell that secret.

Can you dance to save your life?  

I don’t think… so… I’m okay but I’m not a professional…

Yeah of course. Who can’t cook?

I guess 4… I’m okay. I cook to get by and that.

What is one skill you wish you could master but you haven’t yet / can’t because you suck at it?

Drawing. I can’t do it but I have a friend who is amazing and I wish i didn’t suck.

Do you believe in Ghosts / Supernatural?

I…. I don’t believe in ghosts. But I don’t dismiss the supernatural. I believe in the djinn. And I would rather not mess with them.

I don’t really wanna talk about djinn and stuff okay, like, one might hear us and decided to give us a hard time.

What are your favourite foods / drinks?

Uhhh, I’m pretty boring since one of my favourite foods is just your standard fries. There’s no specific reason? It’s convenient on the go. They usually have a bunch already freshly made, so you don’t have to wait around and it’s super easy to eat just using one hand. I kind of just like water to drink.

Food / Drinks you would never eat / drink?

I refuse to eat Khin’zirin uh… uh swine. Yanno… Pig. Its a religion thing and I guess orange juice. I mean… I’ve had it but it has a weird taste so i would never choose to have it.

Even at Gunpoint?

Of course I would if i was at gunpoint and that was the only way to save my life… though I would be wondering why someone would threaten my life just to make me eat pork or drink oj.

How long do you take to get ready in the morning?

I am ready at any time though i guess 5 minutes to brush and wash my face would be nice. 10 minutes extra to shower is even better. Another 10 to have breakfast and I’m blessed. (5 - 25 minutes)

What is your morning routine like?

I sort of suggested it already but if I’m not needed for work straight away, I usually will get up and wash my face. If I’m showering too I’ll wash my face in the shower. Then I’ll make breakfast or eat left overs, after which I usually prep my camera and my equipment before brushing my teeth and heading out. Yeah. If i can help it, I brush my teeth after i eat breakfast. Don’t you dare judge me. 

Do you have any favourite pieces of clothing / accessories?

Well, you might have noticed it already but I really like headgear. It’s either a head band, bandana, beanies or caps.

Why do you like those?

I dunno… i just feel safer with something on my head. You don’t know what might fall from the sky.

What do you sleep in?

A shirt and shorts.

Do you remember your dreams?

….sure.

What are they about?

…in my culture, they say you shouldn’t share your bad dreams to just anyone.

What sleeping positions do you sleep in?

Fetus.  

Do you shower before bed?/

When i want a really, really good sleep, I change all my bedding and then have a hot shower. But its probably once a month or something.

Anyway... I have to admit, I’m curious as to why you wanna know all this?

with a playful grin, the agent re-aligned himself and very swiftly, swept the light-haired youth from the floor and into his arms, a grin starting from one side of his cheek and ending in a full stop in the shape of a small dimple. 

“As you can see, I’m very good for a hug or two~”, and with that, he let out a laugh and rested his forehead against Aiko’s, “… does that answer you questions princess?”

                                      An Abandoned Baby

This was possibly one of the greatest conundrums The East Wind had ever needed to face.

Ignoring for the moment who would have snuck into his apartment to leave a living breathing infant in his home, he had to deal with the real problem here and that was the living breathing infant in home. It had started crying…well if you could call it that… It sounded more like the sound one would make burning in hellfire while the devil devoured your innards for breakfast - And wonderful, if things could get any worse it was now spilling it’s insides from every orifice.  

Aish.  

Salim had never been a fan of children…

Brows furrowing in disgust, Salim already had his phone dialling the only person in the world he imagined would have any idea of how to deal with a baby.  

“It’s an emergency. Someone broke into my apartment”, he left it at that and then hung up after which he moved tentatively over to the child and with equally tentative fingers, began the surgical removal of it from it’s garments. Salim decided he would burn the bed covers later.

Not even 20 minutes had passed when the door slammed open and a frightfully tall, dark and stern-jawed man clambered through, calling out for his comrade:

“!! Where are y-“, he had not need to finish his question when a startling, head splitting scream came from the bathroom – that would be his next destination. Armed, he dashed forward, rounding the corner he shoved open the door and aimed his gun at the intruder.

Salim blinked a few times, unfazed it seemed, to be staring down the barrel of his friend’s gun, the guest’s eyes lowered with confusion down to the crying and wailing naked bundle in Salim’s hands – it was dripping wet and being held upside down.  

“What is th-“

“Don’t you know what a baby is?”

“Yes of course- i know it’s a baby - but why is it-“

“ , hold it for me”

The conversation was spoken amidst screeching but that didn’t stop Salim stuffing the bundle of limbs into his friend’s arms. , the man in question looked on with horror as the baby decided to give the new person a chance and watched him with wide eyes, shock would hold first, soon followed by finally reaching for a towel and pulling it tightly around it, rubbing it’s short hair dry as he moved into the living room.  

returned shortly, in a new shirt, one not soaked through and with a bundle of bed sheets he immediately dropped into the bin before turning back to hopefully and finally giving some answers, but all it seemed he would be given was a tense silence. The baby had quietened, seeming to prefer the guest’s arms despite one being made of cold metal and yet here it was, already dozing off. finally went to speak but Salim spoke first.  

“I definitely made the right decision to call you out of everyone… It’s already shut up, being in your arms”, Salim’s expression was inquiring though mostly relieved and for the first time since he had come home, he could relax and he finally loosened his shoulders.

They’d arrived at the bookstore in the evening after having dropped into a local convenience store to grab what had suggested they get for the sake of the baby; clothes, baby formula etc, the store of course was locked up and empty. They moved through into the back half of the building: A T L U S>’s home.  

The smell of a familiar incense still filled the room, the haziness a comfort for Salim and all his fellow colleagues, their own homes / apartments mostly temporary and scarce in home amenities, but here…. in the Arabesque style that his team leader beside him preferred, they all felt welcomed - a home. It was just a shame that today they had a baby to worry about and the stern man had already advised Salim to put the kettle on before they both reclined into the excessively overfilled pillow mounds on the floor, child in hand. They lay there quietly, the whisper of water becoming hot their only source of sound other than the steady communal breathing, it was fairly peaceful until there was a dull click noise indicating that the water had boiled.  

The team leader lifted himself up, lowering the baby into Salim’s hands before heading to the kitchen to make up some baby milk from their recently purchased formula. Malachite orbs watched his leader and friend slip out of sight as he smiled to himself, he hadn’t been wrong when he had opted for for help – Salim had banked on the fact that having a younger brother would have taught his friend how to take care of infants and it seemed he had been right. 

A subtle movement from his chest made brightened orbs move down, catching sight again of the reason he was here at all. Who was this child? Where did he come from? What do they do with him? A myriad of thoughts thundered through his mind at this late hour and it seemed he wasn’t the only one it seemed, when a deep voice broke the silence:

“We will need to give him in to an orphanage, I’ve requested Rauf to look into one for us”

The much taller man joined Salim in the pillows once again, a jug with water and a submerged bottle in hand, a low scented candle light illuminated them in a rather intimate setting, their preferred kind of lighting. sat up a little, cradling the child awkwardly. 

“Is it alright to use names? What if it’s bugged?”

“The Child?”, he scoffed, “I ran a quick scan while making the milk - as if I would let a bug come into my home Salim - you give me far too little credit.”

Sheepish, the agent inclined his head in defeat; the man in front of him was considered as good as the veterans - of course he would know what he was doing, but it still begged the question… Why was there a child in his home? His thoughts were interrupted once again when quietly took the baby from him and slowly put the bottle into it’s mouth, cradling him gently. 

A smirk tugged at Salim’s lips - ignoring for a moment the oddness of the situation, it was a funny image - the groups team leader had always joked about how he was in charge of a group of children and yet here he was with an actual child. The smirk dissolved into a low, quiet chuckle and he had already lifted his phone to video the entire experience, likely to show his comrades, the attempt was silenced when a swift kick had the electronic device flying across the stone floor. 

“Don’t even dare, I’ll wring your neck”

Diffident, the younger of the two backed away in his seat apologetically, laughing a little.

“Sorry Sorry… But, Malik did you know…”

The silence rang on for a while and it was only after the man in question glanced over finally that Salim continued speaking. 

“You make a fitting looking father”

Eyes widened in horror, a pure look of shock standing on the inset jaw for quite some time before, another kick would come - lacking power but still enough to emphasise his displeasure - though Salim only let out a pained laugh as he gripped his comrade’s foot playfully;

“You’re just lucky I didn’t shoot you in your apartment”

Four similarities between mun and muse

We’re both bilingual; though Salim is massively more varied than I! I know 3 really well whereas he knows 6 very well

This is a weird and embarrassing thing for me to admit, but we share this weird habit of wanting to touch people we care about? It’s not like sexy™ at all lmao but i do realise it can be intrusive. If I had to describe it, it would be like someone will be talking and while they’re talking, our vision will just go to their shoulder or their hair or their side and like suddenly WOOPS AM I GRABBING YOUR SHOULDER? DID I JUST RUFFLE YOUR HAIR - WOAH WHEN DID I START TICKLING YOU - IM SO SORRY. For real though. I’m so sorry.

Four differences between mun and muse

I’m. Really. Not. Good. At. Socialising. I mean. Once the initial anxiety of actually going over to someone and talking to them is overcome, sure, I can sort of ease into a comfortable conversation where I literally wont stop vomiting words... but Sal is so good at dealing with people.

Come on, there’s so many differences - for one he can lockpick (tbh I’ve once unlocked a padlock just by listening. BUT HE LIKE DOES IT AS IF HE’S JUST CASUALLY CHEWING GUM)

[🌹: What are weird things they start to do once they've developed a crush?]

                         Ah yes. The little quirks B))) He’s full of these kings of things. 

When Salim lets strays into his apartment, he tends to name them all and anyone he has a crush on tends to get an associated cat with the same name; congratulations!

Sometimes, he’ll find himself subconsciously writing their crush’s name into coding by accident. Or they’ll accidentally enter their name into a search instead of an actual target.

He begins to drop ‘Habibi’ (My Love), ‘Mahbuban’ (Beloved) or ‘Ya Hayati’ (My Life - rare as he’s gotta be pretty deep in that love my friend) when addressing them - he doesn’t always finish the words when he realises what being said and ends up biting his tongue. 

Salim tends to tease the people he likes most, but it depends on their personality entirely. Those that fume quick get it the worst, those who are mostly calm tend to not experience his teasing so much.

Occasionally, when he’s close in proximity to someone that resides in his heart he tends to become overwhelmed with the desire to touch, caress and kiss them. Most of the time he avoids this by casually patting their head - other times it can be too much to handle.

When he finds himself touchy-feely around someone he likes, you can occasionally hear him murmuring ‘Astagfirulla’. [CONTEXT] He’s praying for forgiveness - contextually, this is used in relation to religion but also socially / culturally used to remind oneself they’re doing / seeing something they shouldn’t be.

      Oh ho ho ho~ Well my friend. -clears throat- i’M ADDING CONTEXT CAUSE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT YESSSS.

Just skip to  =  If you want to actually READ THE ANSWER LMAO.

So Sal’s pretty unfortunate when it comes to romance. It comes down to having grown up as an agent to be nothing but one until a mission one day claims his life. So the idea of getting attached is one to fear for him and most of his agent buddies alike.

Now - He IS really good with people and he’s not afraid of making out with someone he doesn’t know too closely - however, he avoids civilians - he’s at least not that crude… but when he visits informants (particularly agency affiliated ones) in the red light district, the lads and ladies down their tend to enjoy his attention. As you can tell, he’s pretty liberal when it’s non-romantic and no strings attached (Though he wouldn’t go beyond a good making out session).

However, he’s really restrained with people he likes - avoiding touching them almost completely. If they’re a civilian, this is even more so. Agents are taught that romance outside of the office is massively abhorred and they will penalise anyone who begins to get close enough to share confidential information. That could be an agent sharing just their real name; real info. So Agents avoid it - Salim included. 

This is why, when he would realise he likes someone… Salim becomes more distant, awkward and would turn every intimate, special moment into ‘just big bro ones’. His words would suggest they couldn’t be anything more - though this is generally if he suspects the feelings may be mutual. There’s nothing to stop him just dropping shop and moving elsewhere without a moments notice, disappearing from their interest’s radar completely or lying about already having a girlfriend / boyfriend. 

However, he also dislikes doing this, especially since he wouldn’t fully be able to fight the desire to be nearby and so if it’s possible he would just draw a line in the sand and avoid things escalating; doing things to upset their partner enough to not see them as a potential in love.

If his interest is a fellow agent… (SPOILER ALERT THERE IS ONE ALREADY) he just rewrites his feelings into ones of respect and adoration, showing a massive amount of loyalty and well-meaning concern. Though agents can date one another, most choose not to bother to protect themselves from loss I guess. Instead of being all doki-doki, Sal tends to endanger himself and tease the shit out of those he likes, friends and romantic interests alike; this gets him into so mUCH TROUBLE THOUGH- HE’S HAD SO MANY BEATINGS. PLS STOP HIM.

These guys are literally chalk and cheese (In a good kind of way) but okay, the East Wind is known for speed, agility and form so if he sees Yuuri on ice ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)… He’ll totally be bewitched. AS HE SHOULD BE. 

Okay. So Salim has never ever even watched professional ice-skating? He’s seen it casual when he’s been to American malls or on natural lakes and rivers etc, but he’s not interested otherwise - in fact, he’s never himself been on the ice. 

In fact. He’d assume that it’s a lie and some sort of jinn had put it into his mind, because wth? That bratty kid? The glasses kid. The one that looks like he’d fall over his own pig feet could ACTUALLY MOVE LIKE THAT???? He wouldn’t believe it - the moment Katsuki-Katsuki would come off the ice, Salim would just be like ‘AHAHA NO I must have smoked something before this’. 

Also never take him onto the ice. He WILL panic. He WILL scream prayers in native tongue. He WILL FALL ON HIS HANDSOME ASS.

[x] Night time runs (Katsuki got to take Salim skating, so Salim gets to take him rooftop hopping and like, literally this is so dangerous but ‘just do it, I’ve seen you jump, you can totally nail this roof leap, I’m right here, I’ll catch you’ and like don’t listen, he could literally die but maybe he does jump and holy shit but he lands onto Salim and they crash onto the floor of the next roof. Salim’s faceplanted again HOW DID YOU DO THIS AGAIN?? Salim’s not even mad though, he’s so excited and he’s asking all the questions; ‘How’d it feel?’ ‘Doesn’t it feel like you’re jumping into the stars?’ ‘Doesn’t the wind hit you hard? Isn’t it amazing?’ AND YEAH I BET IT POSSIBLY FEELS A LITTLE LIKE THE FEELING OF SKATING.

Aiko

Occasionally, when Salim gets a day away from both his day job and agency’s missions he offers to teach Ai photography. The chances they both get to do this is few and far between considering she too has a busy schedule, what with the role as a head nurse… but he is adamant in teaching her.

Bonus:

The best part is seeing what she does with the camera borrowed to her. When she returned it, he decided to not look at the photos and set up the computer to let her choose favourites and put them on a sd card so he can get them printed off. It turned out it was nothing but succulents and cacti.

Totally smitten by the cute photographs, he made an entire handmade album out of them before returning it as a collection to her. However, Salim kept one photograph for himself - telling her that it’s payment for borrowing the camera; the agent even refuses to show her which one - which he assumes would leave her a little worried as to what accidental photo it might be.

The photo turned out in one of his apartments, framed and sitting on his living room tv unit: a selfie of her and ‘Tamah’ before it had grown flower buds. Tamah is a cactus Aiko had given to him as a gift and they had decided on its name together. She’d probably spot it the next time she visited his apartment.

Daiki

Salim never ever blames him for his dislike and distrust; in fact, its almost welcomed as worthy treatment. He understands that Dai is just watching out for his kid sister, a precious person who has already been hurt enough in the past. If Daiki even as ushers him to leave, Salim would obediently do so; if Daiki wanted to punch him, Salim would obediently let him.
