Serval's feelings about Cocolia are... confusing to her, even now.
It speaks a lot to how much Serval cared for Cocolia that she continued to be hurt by the woman's actions, so many years later. And if the order of the flashbacks near the end of Belobog's arc are any indication, then Cocolia ejecting Serval from her position happened before the lockdown of the Underworld, which went on for more than a decade.
More than a decade to stew in bitter feelings. To fall out of contact with someone who was once your closest friend, with absolutely NO explanation as to what you did wrong, or why she turned on you the way she did.
(Feels even worse when you KNOW you did nothing wrong.)
The bitterness she exhibits towards Cocolia is very much real, and only festered and grew without proper closure.
But even through that, Serval makes a number of remarks that indicate that there was once a hope of reconciliation, that Cocolia might go back to the person she was, and that they would be able to bury the hatchet.
This desire, of course, was juggled with the belief that she may not have even known the real Cocolia at all. And that belief only became more firmly cemented over the years.
What fondness she felt for the woman is overtaken by sadness and resentment, and is something Serval strives to leave in the past, ultimately unburdening herself and cutting her ties to Cocolia completely by smashing the guitar they shared.
While she acknowledges the person Cocolia once was, and the good memories they shared, the bridges have become too burnt to truly recover. And with Cocolia's sudden death robbing her the chance for proper closure, she'd only be left to stew in those feelings forever. Which is why she HAS to cut them out of her life, to truly move forward.
Put Cocolia in the past, like Cocolia had done to her.
Serval refuses to live in her shadow forever. And, it's as she tells Gepard and the Trailblazer...
Serval: From here on out, I'm over that woman.
